Trust; Not Ashamed; Heart or Mind; Be Brave

Trust is a concept that we do not have one specific word for in our Bible.  When we think of the word trust, we relate trust to a person. Trust your parents, your spouse, your siblings, trust your government, (ok let’s not get crazy). We can also put our trust in things like a radar map of rain, or a flashing road sign telling us our speed. Sometimes we want to trust everything and everyone without caution. We need to think critically. Really the only one we can trust is Yahweh. The only being in the entire universe we can count on to not lie to us and who has our best interests at heart, is Yahweh. His word is also trustworthy, written by the Holy Spirit for our learning, and tried in fire. To trust a lesser being, one who cannot create, is foolishness. When we face rough times and uncertain futures, then we may fear. But instead we should trust the Creator because our Creator has repeatedly told us that faith makes us righteous and righteousness sanctifies us, or sets us apart, for deliverance and salvation. The word trust does not have its own definition, but is intermixed with other words like hope, faith, and yield. Translators used these various words interchangeably as trust. Some words weaken a sentence, while the word trust strengthens a sentence. Trust is a feeling in our heart that permeates our whole being. Unlike a thought in our mind, it is solidly rooted and founded. David says to be brave and empower our heart, and Paul tells us not to be ashamed and that we won’t be shamed for trusting in Yahweh. If we trust in Yahweh we will be delivered.

Throughout history we have seen times when Satanas has influenced so many people that there is a very narrow margin of people who are righteous and redeemed. Then there seems to be a boomerang effect where people turn their hearts to Yahweh. But in the meantime we have to pray through the rough days. But who do we trust? The only one we can trust is Yahweh. Hezekiah overall wasn’t a bad guy, he did a few dopey things like giving pallets of cash to Sennacherib. Today we have politicians who give pallets of cash to other nations in hopes of persuading them to do something for our politicians. Funny thing is the pallets of cash are from the citizens not the politicians. In other words, the bribe money is from the people who need a social security increase, or better roads, and reconstructed bridges. They didn’t vote on giving a bribe to another nation, yet some corrupt politician needed to cover his evil deeds. Hush money never works.

Once a country is weakened by so many of their politicians and influencers turning to Satanas, other nations attempt a soft coup by installing vassals. Vassals are people who work for the conquering nation, unbeknownst to the general population. All the country’s secrets are given away in turn for a promise of favor from the conquering nation. The people of the country are also unknowingly paying taxes to the conquering nation. There are many politicians who sell their access to others and they seem to get reelected over and over and over. There is nothing new under the sun. What do we do? We trust the only one we can trust.

We have to think critically regarding our religious leaders as we see that the religious leaders in Israel led the people astray over and over again. There were hardly any passovers observed the proper way and the very people that Jesus contended with, who commissioned his death, were religious leaders.

Paul writes to Timothy regarding hope or trust. In our thinking, hope is like a child wishing for an ice cream cone after dinner. Trust is deeper. We think of trust as a person falling backwards and their friends or co-workers catch them. There is an internal mechanism involved with trusting. Notice how different Bible versions translate the word elpizō.

1Ti 4:10 (KJV) For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.

1Ti 4:10 (YLT) for for this we both labour and are reproached, because we hope on the living God, who is Saviour of all men—especially of those believing.

1Ti 4:10 (ISV) To this end we work hard and struggle, because we have set our hope on the living God, who is the Savior of all people, that is, of those who believe.

1Ti 4:10 (Murdock) For on this account, we toil and suffer reproach; because we trust in the living God, who is the life-giver of all men, especially of the believers.

1 Timothy 4:10 G1519 [2in G3778 this G1063 1for] G2532 also G2872 we tire in labor, G2532 and G3679 are berated, G3754 because G1679 we have hope G1909 upon G2316 a living God, G2198   G3739 who G1510.2.3 is G4990 deliverer G3956 of all G444 men, G3122 especially G4103 ones believing.

1679 LSJ Gloss:ἐλπίζω to hope for, look for, expect

Dodson:ἐλπίζω I hope, hope for, expect I hope, hope for, expect, trust.

TBESG:ἐλπίζω to hope/expect

G:V

ἐλπίζω

[in LXX chiefly for בָּטַח, also for חָסָה, יָחַל pi., hi., etc. ;]

to look for, expect, hope (for): with accusative of thing(s),

Thayer:

1) to hope

1a) in a religious sense, to wait for salvation with joy and full confidence

2) hopefully to trust in

Vine's Expository Dictionary of New Testament Words

ἐλπίζω

elpizō el-pid'-zo From G1680; to expect or confide KJV Usage: (have, thing) hope (-d) (for), trust.

Do we hope upon the Living God or do we trust the Living God? If I intentionally fall backwards into the arms of the Living God am I hoping he will catch me? Yes, but if I am trusting he will catching me I know he will catch me. Hope is not as strong a word as trust.

Paul says that we grow weary or tired in labor, we all do. We are also berated because we trust in the Living God. Who berates us? Those working for Satanas. Why? Because they are trying to dissuade us from working for Yahweh. They are trying to burden us more so that we quit, but we trust the Living God. Yahweh will deliver those who believe on Him.  David says something similar.

Psalms 7:0 G5568 A psalm G3588 to G* David G3739 which G103 he sang G3588 to the G2962 lord, G5228 because of G3588 the G3056 words G* of Cush G5207 son of G* Benjamin.

  1 G2962 O lord G3588   G2316 my God, G1473   G1909 upon G1473 you G1679 I hope. G4982 Deliver G1473 me G1537 from G3956 all G3588 the ones G1377 pursuing G1473 me, G2532 and G4506 rescue G1473 me!

David hoped, expected, and trusted in Yahweh, that he would deliver him from those pursuing him. Hope is a weaker word which confers a bit of doubt, but trust is a stronger word which confers confidence. We see by David’s actions that he actually trusted in Yahweh and Yahweh’s plans.

Psalms 17:7 G2298.1 Show the wonder G3588   G1656 of your mercies! G1473   G3588 O G4982 one delivering G3588 the G1679 ones hoping G1909 upon G1473 you, G1537 from G3588 the ones G436 opposing G3588 at G1188 your right. G1473

David asks Yahweh to show His mercies as He is delivering the ones trusting in Him from those opposing Yahweh. Here again consider the idea of hope verses the idea of trust.

We have a verse in Isaiah that is translated poorly and we use the poor translation as a memory verse.

Isa 26:3  (KJV) Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

This is a song. The context goes back to chapter 24 regarding what people will sing on the Day of the Lord.

Isa 26:2  (Brenton) Open ye the gates, let the nation enter that keeps righteousness, and keeps truth,

Isa 26:3  supporting truth, and keeping peace: for on thee, O Lord,

Isa 26:4  they have trusted with confidence for ever, the great, the eternal God;

Isaiah 26:2 G455 Open G4439 O gates! G1525 Enter! G2992 O people G5442 guarding G1343 righteousness, G2532 and G5442 guarding G225 truth;

  3 G482 taking hold of G225 truth, G2532 and G5442 guarding G1515 peace.

  4 G3754 For G1909 upon G1473 you G1679 we hoped, G2962 O lord G2193 unto G3588 the G165 eon, G3588 the G2316 [3God G3588   G3173 1great G3588   G166 2eternal];

Isaiah says in his song that the gates will open and the people who guard righteousness and guard truth are to enter in. Who guards righteousness? Those who have faith. Who guards truth? Those who have moved from out of credence into fidelity, or from out of acceptance into loyalty. These people are taking hold of truth and taking hold of peace. These are people who hoped or trusted on Yahweh throughout the ages, the Great Eternal Elohim.

https://musingsofawinsomeheart.blogspot.com/2021/07/little-faith-law-of-faith-from-credence.html

Another aspect of trust or trusting, is yielding, peithō. We use Solomons words as a memory verse as well. The idea is to be fully persuaded.

Pro 3:5 (KJV) Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

Pro 3:6  In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Proverbs 3:5 G1510.5 Be G3982 yielding G1722 with G3650 your whole G2588 heart G1909 upon G2316 God, G1909 and upon G1161   G4674 your own G4678 wisdom G3361 be not encouraged! G1869

  6 G1722 In G3956 all G3598 your ways G1473   G1107 make her known! G1473   G2443 that G3718 she should cut straight G3588   G3598 your ways. G1473

3982 LSJ Gloss:πείθωto prevail upon, win over, persuade

Dodson:πείθω I persuade, urge.

TBESG:πείθω to persuade

G:V

πείθω

[in LXX chiefly for בָּטַח בֶּטַח, its parts and derivatives ;]

Thayer:

1) persuade

1a) to persuade, i.e. to induce one by words to believe

1b) to make friends of, to win one's favour, gain one's good will, or to seek to win one, strive to please one

1c) to tranquillise

1d) to persuade unto i.e. move or induce one to persuasion to do something

2) be persuaded

2a) to be persuaded, to suffer one's self to be persuaded; to be induced to believe: to have faith: in a thing

2a1) to believe

2a2) to be persuaded of a thing concerning a person

2b) to listen to, obey, yield to, comply with

3) to trust, have confidence, be confident

Vine's Expository Dictionary of New Testament Words

πείθω

peithō pi'-tho A primary verb; to convince (by argument, true or false); by analogy to pacify or conciliate (by other fair means); reflexively or passively to assent (to evidence or authority), to rely (by inward certainty)

KJV Usage: agree, assure, believe, have confidence, be (wax) content, make friend, obey, persuade, trust, yield.

The context here is to yield one’s heart to the Elohim and not to ones own wisdom. Acknowledge the Spirit of Wisdom and she will cut a straight path for you. If we are going to trust in God and the Holy Spirit, we are persuaded or in agreement with them. If we are going to obey the Elohim and the Spirit of Wisdom, we must have confidence in them. It is our own wisdom that fails us, not the Spirit of Wisdom. We have to learn to hear and obey. We need to think critically. David says this:

Psalms 11: 0 G1519 For G3588 the G5056 director; G5568 a psalm G3588 to G* David.

  1 G1909 Upon G3588 the G2962 lord G3982 I have yielded. G4459 How G2046 shall you say G3588 to G5590 my soul, G1473   G3339.1 Migrate G1909 unto G3588 the G3735 mountains G5613 as G4765 a sparrow?

David  yields to Yahweh. Yahweh said to flee to the mountains, and David did. David questioned Yahweh, as he comments that the wicked are ready to shoot him with arrows. But David lived to tell about it. Therefore, even when the wicked hunt us and attempt to kill us, we yield to Yahweh.

1 John 3:19 G2532 And G1722 in G3778 this G1097 we know G3754 that G1537 [2of G3588 3the G225 4truth G1510.2.4 1we are], G2532 and G1715 before G1473 him G3982 we shall yield G3588   G2588 our hearts. G1473

John makes everything simple for us. If we are of the truth, then we yield our hearts to Him. Even when others attack us for trusting in Yahweh, we yield to Yahweh. Who knows, maybe those who berate and bully us will be convicted and give their heart over to Jesus.

In Paul’s second letter to Timothy, Paul uses two words meaning trust, believe and persuaded

2 Timothy 1:12 G1223 For G3739 which G156 reason G2532 also G3778 these things G3958 I suffer; G235 but G3756 I am not G1870 ashamed, G1492 for I know G1063   G3739 in whom G4100 I have believed, G2532 and G3982 am persuaded G3754 that G1415 he is able G1510.2.3   G3588   G3872 [2my deposit in his care G1473   G5442 1to keep] G1519 for G1565 that G3588   G2250 day.

4100 LSJ Gloss:πιστεύω to trust, trust to

1a) of the thing believed

1a1) to credit, have confidence

1b) in a moral or religious reference

1b1) used in the NT of the conviction and trust to which a man is impelled by a certain inner and higher prerogative and law of soul

1b2) to trust in Jesus or God as able to aid either in obtaining or in doing something: saving faith

1bc) mere acknowledgment of some fact or event: intellectual faith

2) to entrust a thing to one, i.e. his fidelity

2a) to be intrusted with a thing

Vine's Expository Dictionary of New Testament Words

πιστεύω

pisteuō pist-yoo'-o From G4102; to have faith (in, upon, or with respect to, a person or thing), that is, credit; by implication to entrust (especially one’s spiritual well being to Christ)

KJV Usage: believe (-r), commit (to trust), put in trust with.

Pisteuō translates as “faith”, “trust”, “believe”. Paul says “I know who I trust (peithō) and trust (pisteuō) that He is able’. It becomes a stronger sentence with the word trust. In a couple of sentences we use to teach salvation and confession of Jesus as Lord, Paul uses pisteuō which makes this statement more concrete translated as trust rather than believe

Romans 10:9 G3754 that G1437 if G3670 you should acknowledge G1722 in G3588   G4750 your mouth G1473   G2962 the Lord G* Jesus, G2532 and G4100 should trust G1722 in G3588   G2588 your heart G1473   G3754 that G3588   G2316 God G1473 raised him G1453   G1537 from G3498 the dead, G4982 you shall be delivered.

  10 G2588 For the heart G1063   G4100 trusts G1519 unto G1343 righteousness; G4750 and the mouth G1161   G3670 acknowledges G1519 to G4991 deliverance.

11 G3004 [4says G1063 1For G3588 2the G1124 3scripture], G3956 Every one G3588   G4100 trusting G1909 upon G1473 him G3756 shall not G2617 be put to shame.

Believing with the heart is an awkward idea, trusting with the heart is understandable. Here’s why. I can believe with my mind, I can think and wonder and consider a lot of things. With my heart I feel like something is a good idea. I feel I can trust someone or something. I feel the ideas and decisions that I make are right or wrong, good or bad. The internal mechanism of conviction in the heart is trust. The heart has thoughts, those thoughts are expressed in actions. The heart can “think” good or evil. The mind can think good or evil. But the heart feels. The mind does not feel. Confess Yahweh Jesus with your mouth, trust in your heart that God raised Yahweh Jesus from the dead, then you will be delivered. The heart trusts unto righteousness. Everyone trusting upon Yahweh Jesus will not be put to shame. Paul is not ashamed of the gospel, as he told Timothy, and he will not be put to shame for trusting on Yahweh Jesus.

David trusts that he will see the good of Yahweh in the land of the Living.

Psalms 27:13 G4100 I trust G3588   G1492 to behold G3588 the G18 good things G2962 of the lord G1722 in G1093 the land G2198 of the living.

  14 G5278 Wait on G3588 the G2962 lord! G407 Be manly G2532 and G2901 fortify G3588   G2588 your heart, G1473   G2532 and G5278 wait G3588 on the G2962 lord!

“Trust to see good Yahweh in earth live, stay under Yahweh be brave and empower your heart and stay under  Yahweh”

David trusts. He then says to remain under or stay under Yahweh. David suggests that we should be brave or act like a man, and empower your heart and remain under Yahweh. To remain under Yahweh is to yield to him. To be able to stay under Yahweh one must be brave and strengthen or empower one’s heart. Empower your heart with trust in Yahweh. Then stay under Yahweh.

We all know Jonah’s story. Jonah did not want to go to Nineveh; he thought the people were evil, horrible, and that he would defile himself by going there. Jonah did not trust in Yahweh’s words. Jonah decided not to go, but Yahweh turned him around inside a large fish, and the fish spit him out on the shore. Jonah decided to speak what Yahweh told him to, and the people trusted in Yahweh.

Jonah 3:5 G2532 And G4100 [4believed G3588 1the G435 2men G* 3of Nineveh] G3588   G2316 in God, G2532 and G2784 they proclaimed G3521 a fast, G2532 and G1746 put on G4526 sackcloths, G575 from G3173 their great G1473   G2193 unto G3397 their small. G1473

  6 G2532 And G1448 [3approached G3588 1the G3056 2word] G4314 to G3588 the G935 king G* of Nineveh. G2532 And G1817 he rose up G575 from G3588   G2362 his throne, G1473   G2532 and G4014 he removed G3588   G4749 his apparel G1473   G575 from G1438 himself, G2532 and G4016 he wore G4526 sackcloth, G2532 and G2523 sat G1909 upon G4700 ashes.

Even though Jonah was opposed to speaking to the people of Nineveh, he preached that they would be overthrown in forty days. The devil had no accusation against Nineveh because they fasted and repented; not just the people, but the king as well. We don’t want to miss the fact that the people and the political leaders averted their own disaster by trusting Yahweh. We certainly pray that many nations trust Yahweh, fasting and repenting, to avoid their own destruction.

Jesus told a Centurion that because he trusted, Jesus could simply speak healing and his (the Centurion’s) servant would be healed.

Matthew 8:13 G2532 And G2036 Jesus said G3588   G*   G3588 to the G1543 centurion, G5217 Go! G2532 and G5613 as G4100 you trusted G1096 let it be G1473 to you! G2532 And G2390 [2was healed G3588   G3816 1his servant] G1473   G1722 in G3588   G5610 that hour. G1565

The interesting thing about the Centurion is that he trusted Jesus to heal his servant. The Centurion and his servant were Romans stationed in Capernaum. They were in charge of Israel. If a non-Jew can trust Jesus to heal someone else who is a non-Jew by simply speaking the logos, then we can surely trust in our heart that Jesus can heal us. With the world under threat of a lab created virus we all need healing. We hear threats of variants every day, but we don’t need to be of a particular nation, or a particular religion. Jesus can heal by his word, no matter where we are and no matter where He is. Trust.

Jesus has a strong warning for those who cause children to stumble. The context is causing a child to stop trusting in Jesus. This is an abuse Jesus will not forget.

Matthew 18:6 G3739 And who G1161   G302 ever G4624 should cause to stumble G1520 one G3588   G3397 of these small ones G3778   G3588   G4100 trusting G1519 in G1473 me, G4851 it would be advantageous G1473 to him G2443 that G2910 [3should be hung G3458 1a millstone G3684 2of a donkey] G1909 upon G3588   G5137 his neck, G1473   G2532 and G2670 he should be sunk G1722 in G3588 the G3989 open G3588   G2281 sea.

Children are the most innocent and vulnerable in our society. Jesus regards children at a greater value than their abusers. Someone who causes a child not to trust Jesus, or causes a child to be shocked or offended, or anyone who would entrap a child or entice a child to sin, it would be better to have a millstone tied on them and be thrown into the sea. There will be a worse punishment than drowning for pedophiles and traffickers. Jesus said it, we can trust it. It is little consolation for the abused victim to know their perpetrator will be greatly punished, but it is known, Jesus knows it all. The entire context here is Jesus finding the one sheep who was lost, the one child who was lost because someone caused him to stumble has Jesus looking for him. Not one child will be lost. Trust Jesus.

The scripture concludes that all people are under sin but there is a promise for those who trust on Jesus Christ.

Galatians 3:22 G235 But G4788 [3consigned G3588 1the G1124 2scripture] G3588 the whole G3956   G5259 under G266 sin, G2443 that G3588 the G1860 promise G1537 of G4102 belief G* of Jesus G5547 Christ G1325 should be given G3588 to the ones G4100 trusting.

Paul says that the promise of the belief of Jesus is for the ones trusting him, else wise the whole world is under sin. The whole world, is under the curse of the law which is sin. Think about it, the last time there was a national passover in Israel was in the days of Josiah. They couldn’t keep the law, they allowed the temple to be defiled by the religions of the surrounding nations. What Ezekiel saw as to why the glory left the temple is a hard saying; booths for male and female prostitutes, human sacrifice, child sacrifice, worshipping of the stars and constellations, and worship of the host of heaven. Why would this all be allowed in the house of Yahweh? They were compromising so that the surrounding nations would not harm Israel/Judah and the temple. Do not think that those who defile our sacred places are not punished. Everything they have done to compromise with the world and defile the body of Christ is known by Jesus. Trust Jesus.

There are benefits to trusting the gospel.

Ephesians 1:13 G1722 In G3739 whom G2532 also G1473 you, G191 having heard G3588 the G3056 word G3588 of the G225 truth G3588 the G2098 good news G3588   G4991 of your deliverance -- G1473   G1722 in G3739 whom G2532 also G4100 having trusted, G4972 you were sealed G3588 by the G4151 spirit G3588 of the G1860 promise G3588 in the G39 holy;

  14 G3739 who G1510.2.3 is G728 the deposit G3588   G2817 of our inheritance, G1473   G1519 in G629 a release by ransom G3588 of the G4047 procurement G1519 in G1868 high praise G3588   G1391 of his glory. G1473

We who trust the word of truth are sealed with the Holy Spirit, the Spirit that was promised and came on Pentecost. The Holy Spirit is our deposit so that we can be released by ransom. Who is not released at the harpazo when Jesus calls us up? Those who did not trust in Jesus Christ our Lord. Do you trust that He will release you by ransom?

Paul prays and reiterates that the Father gives the Spirit of Wisdom, the Holy Spirit, to those who trust in Jesus Christ.

Ephesians 1:17 G2443 that G3588 the G2316 God G3588   G2962 of our Lord G1473   G* Jesus G5547 Christ, G3588 the G3962 father G3588   G1391 of glory, G1325 should give G1473 [3to you G4151 1spirit G4678 2of wisdom] G2532 and G602 revelation G1722 in G1922 full knowledge G1473 of him,

  18 G5461 giving light G3588 of the G3788 eyes G3588   G1271 of your thought, G1473   G1519 for G3588   G1492 you to know G1473   G5100 what G1510.2.3 is G3588 the G1680 hope G3588   G2821 of his calling, G1473   G2532 and G5100 what G3588 the G4149 riches G3588 of the G1391 glory G3588   G2817 of his inheritance G1473   G1722 is in G3588 the G39 holy ones,

  19 G2532 and G5100 what G3588 the G5235 exceeding G3174 greatness G3588   G1411 of his power G1473   G1519 in G1473 us G3588 the ones G4100 believing, G2596 according to G3588 the G1753 energy G3588 of the G2904 might G3588   G2479 of his strength,

Paul prays that the Lord Jesus Christ and the Father of Glory would give us the Spirit of Wisdom and a revelation in the full knowledge of Him, and that our eyes would be flooded with light that we would know the trust of His calling and the riches of glory inherited in the saints and that the exceeding greatness of his power in us who trust according to the energy and might of His strength. In short, trust what he has told us and trust the power he has in us. Trust, trust, trust.

Translators used the word believe instead of trust even though it is the same word pisteuō. It is not just a thought in our mind, it is knowledge in our heart.

1 Thessalonians 4:14 G1487 For if G1063   G4100 we believe G3754 that G* Jesus G599 died G2532 and G450 rose up, G3779 so G2532 also G3588   G2316 God [4the ones G2837 5having gone to sleep G1223 6through G3588   G* 7Jesus G71 1will bring G4862 2with G1473 3him].

If we trust that Jesus died and rose up on the third day, the Elohim will raise up the dead as well because of Jesus. But there is more to the promise and  more that we are to trust in.

1 Thessalonians 4:15 G3778 For this G1063   G1473 to you G3004 we say G1722 by G3056 word G2962 of the Lord, G3754 that G1473 we, G3588 the ones G2198 living, G3588 the ones G4035 remaining G1519 at G3588 the G3952 arrival G3588 of the G2962 Lord, G3766.2 in no way G5348 should anticipate G3588 the ones G2837 having gone to sleep.

  16 G3754 For G1473 [3himself G3588 1the G2962 2Lord] G1722 in G2752 a word of command G1722 by G5456 the voice G743 of an archangel, G2532 and G1722 with G4536 a trumpet G2316 of God, G2597 shall descend G575 from G3772 heaven, G2532 and G3588 the G3498 dead G1722 in G5547 Christ G450 shall rise up G4412 first.

  17 G1899 Thereupon G1473 we G3588 the G2198 living, G3588 the ones G4035 remaining, G260 together G4862 with G1473 them G726 shall be seized G1722 in G3507 clouds, G1519 for G529 meeting G3588 the G2962 Lord G1519 in G109 the air, G2532 and G3779 thus G3842 at all times G4862 with G2962 the Lord G1510.8.4 we shall be.

  18 G5620 So then G3870 comfort G240 one another G1722 by G3588   G3056 these words! G3778

Paul writes by the logos of Yahweh. We can trust the logos of Yahweh can’t we? If not, throw your Bible away, it is an unnecessary book for you. Yes we can trust the words of the Lord and yes we do trust what is written for our learning. It is not wise to trust modern people who deny the written logos of Yahweh. As Solomon suggested, we are not to trust our own wisdom, we should not trust the wisdom of logos deniers. What Paul is relating here is the first Holy Convocation when Yahweh came to speak with Israel in the desert.

Who can we trust? Yahweh. Again Paul says that he is not ashamed of the gospel.

Romans 1:16 G3756 For not G1063   G1870 am I ashamed of G3588 the G2098 good news G3588 of the G5547 Christ; G1411 [3power G1063 1for G2316 4of God G1510.2.3 2it is] G1519 for G4991 deliverance G3956 to every one G3588   G4100 trusting; G* both to the Jew G5037   G4412 first, G2532 and G* to the Greek.

  17 G1343 For righteousness G1063   G2316 of God G1722 [2by G1473 3it G601 1is revealed] G1537 from G4102 belief G1519 unto G4102 belief; G2531 as G1125 has been written, G3588 But the G1161   G1342 just G1537 [2of G4102 3belief G2198 1shall live].

The gospel of Christ is the power of the Elohim for delivering those who trust. You will not be shamed or ashamed. David said to be brave. It is not for those who do not trust. If you do not trust the gospel and all the words in the gospel then you are not going to be saved. That is Paul’s point. The righteousness of God is revealed from out of credence into fidelity. The righteousness of the Elohim is uncovered from acceptance to loyalty. The righteous live by faith. Faith brings righteousness. The righteous trust in their heart that Jesus is the Christ. The righteous trust in their heart that Jesus rose up on the third day. The righteous trust in their heart that they will also rise up or be caught up. The righteous trust in their heart that no matter how evil politicians and religious leaders behave, Yahweh will deliver the righteous. The righteous trust in their heart that the gospel is true. The righteous trust in their heart that Jesus will heal. The righteous trust Yahweh in their heart.
