As we move forward into the seventh trumpet John takes some time to give us parenthetical details. These are corroborating events, taking place simultaneously with the trumpet blasts. Similar to being at a sports bar and watching several different sporting events all happening at the same time. An angel swears allegiance to Yahweh Jesus Messiah and declares the completion of the dispensation when the seventh trumpet sounds. John fills in more details before we come to the seventh trumpet. One of the mysteries for us is the seven thunders speaking. We are not told what the seven thunders say at this time, but we can get an understanding from the context a bit later. While these six trumpets are taking place there are two people on the earth, Enoch and Elijah, who are witnessing to the entire world. Enoch and Elijah are the only two people in history who still have their bodies as they were taken up rather than killed on the earth. These two humans stand before Yahweh Elohim until they are sent back to the earth.
Revelation 10:1 G2532 And G1492 I saw G32 [2angel G2478 1a strong] G2597 coming down G1537 from G3588 the G3772 heaven, G4016 wearing G3507 a cloud G2532 and G3588 the G2463 rainbow G1909 upon G3588 G2776 his head. The word “wearing” periballō means “throw around”, peri around, ballō throw. It means the cloud was surrounding this angel. Rainbow, iris, here is “halo”. The angel has a halo thrown around his head. This is descriptive as the cloud and the halo are not a tight fit like a robe and a hat, but all around the angel, fluid. His face is like as the sun and his feet were pillars of fire.

This must be a very large angel, with one foot on the land and the other on the sea. He yells like a lion, and when he does, the seven thunders then speak.

John is told to seal, keep secret, what the seven thunders say. He is told not to write down what they have said. There is something very important in what they say. We get a clue a bit later when we look at the timeline in a recap, but for now we are not to know what words were spoken.

The strong angel now swears an oath. Who is he swearing an oath to? Yahweh Jesus Messiah. The one who created all things visible and invisible in heaven and on earth.
Col 1:15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
Col 1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
Col 1:17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
Col 1:18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
Col 1:19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;
Col 1:20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

Pro 8:31 For he rejoiced when he had completed the world, and rejoiced among the children of men.
The angel swears an oath to the one who lives into the eons of eons. The one who created the heavens and all that’s in it, and the earth and all that’s in it. Then he says something interesting. That the time, chronos, is now. Time for what? What is changing?

The day of the seventh angel trumpeting completes, teleō, concludes, the mystery of the Elohim. The mystery of the gospel, euaggelizō, announced by servants, doulos, and prophets. So far Jesus has rescued three groups of people into heaven. The redeemed saints at the harpazo, the martyrs under the altar, and the nations and tribes out of the seal judgments. But the conclusion of the mystery tells us that that dispensation has a final end.

The dispensation, oikonomia, administration of the fulness of times, is the time we live in, the last two thousand years since Jesus called his church. The seventh trumpet is marking the completion of the fulness of times. Many people love to argue that there is no such thing as dispensations, but according to the Bible the Greek word oikonomia is used 10 times between the old and new covenant, which cannot be erased and has to be reconciled in our understanding. What is this administration of the mystery, the fulness of times?
The anointed Messiah, the prophet Christ, is in the process of gathering together everything in heaven and earth. This is why the prophet anoints the holy saints without respect to duration or completion. Daniel did not say that after a certain number of people are anointed the Messiah would conclude the age, nor did he say that there was a date of completion, meaning Jesus will be gathering people to him into the ages. People born during the millennial kingdom will have a choice to make. There is no set duration of time, meaning that even at the end of the millennium Jesus will still be gathering people to himself. The “administration of the fullness of times” also called “the administration or dispensation of grace and the administration of the mystery”.

The mystery is that all people, all nations, will be joint heirs, a joint body, and joint partners, of His promise. No one knew the nations would join in the blessings of Israel’s Messiah. No one knew the nations would be saved and spirit filled ahead of the Jews.

“And enlighten all what the administration the mystery the hidden away from the ages in the Elohim to the all Creator”
We see here that the LXX-WH changes the word “fellowship” to “administration”. This is the administration of the mystery. Colossians 1:25 says the same thing,“this I became servant downwards the administration the Elohim”. What is this administration? An administration oikonomia, is a “household or an estate”. It is a “stewardship or a dispensation”. We can think of it like presidential administrations. It is a time period where things run a certain way with specific leadership. When the next president gets elected the entire administration changes, new people are hired and the direction that group of people takes may be different than the last administration. This administration changes when the saints are harpazo’d and Satanas rules the earth. Then the administration will change again when Jesus rules during the millennial reign. The administration will change again with the new heaven and new earth.
We live during the time of the administration of the mystery, also known as an “administration of grace”. We did not do anything to earn the Christ in us. We did not earn the privilege of the Holy Spirit dwelling in us. We simply believed and before we understood it fully we were revealed in glory and honor.

Why bother making the multifarious wisdom of the Elohim known to the loser fallen principalities and powers? They were not told ahead of time, but think about what Paul is saying. From the day of Pentecost, as people believed on Jesus as Yahweh and believed that he rose up on the third day, the individuals in the ekklesia looked like lightbulbs turning on all over the earth. Looking down from the heavens as glory lights keep turning on, over and over. This is when the fallen principalities and powers found out how truly dumb they were for their mutiny.
The ekklesia is made visible and makes known, that it is Christ in us, and we are His body.

“downward show bread the ages this make in Messiah Jesus the Yahweh of us”
We are displayed like show-bread, downward from heaven to earth. We are set forth like the show-bread in the temple. We are his consecrated who are made visible. Just as the Elohim could see the show-bread in the tabernacle and temple, we are visible. We are exposed before the Elohim, we are the dwelling of the Elohim, His temple, and we are inhabited and occupied by the Holy Spirit. Every fallen son of the Elohim sees our glory and cringes. Every righteous son of the Elohim sees our glory and rejoices.

“in this have the freedom and the access in confidence through the faith Him.”
In this administration of the mystery where we are in glory as the show bread we have free access in confidence through faith in Him. In other words we are always before Him, and were specifically made this way when we believed Jesus to be Yahweh and that he rose up on the third day. If we understand that everything about us changes when we believe on Jesus Messiah, then we will understand just how exclusive this club is. We did not earn our way in by selling the most raffle tickets or by getting the most donations, we simply do the easiest thing possible, we confess and believe Jesus is Lord. Then we become the dwelling of the Elohim and the Holy Spirit dwells in and occupies us all. Not only that, the secret that no one knew about including the angels, is that the Messiah is in us all as well. Jesus our Creator and Messiah does not dwell in any other sons of the Elohim. We hope to see our glory, but the other sons of the Elohim already see our glory and honor. We are visible. Paul volunteered to share this administration of the mystery. It is however still a mystery to most people. We should have fellowship with the Elohim, the Father, the Messiah, and the Holy Spirit. We are partners.

It is through the church, ekklesia, the assembly, that the principalities and powers find out that they are defeated. The multifaceted, multifarious, manifold, much variegated, wisdom, is literally the many different colored wisdom, polupoikilos sophia. This is described as a kaleidoscope wisdom. Wisdom, sophia, is diverse and deep like a kaleidoscope. We have seen a children’s toy kaleidoscope where in a cardboard tube there are beads and mirrors that reflect the beads in different patterns as one turns the tube. It is a simple toy, but deep in its meaning is the adjective to wisdom. We could think of it as a funhouse with many mirrors and when we look at one mirror it is hard to find where the actual object is as it is reflected back and forth between many mirrors. We should not picture wisdom or the Elohim as flat, and as black and white. The Elohim, the Father, the Son, and the Spirit of Wisdom, are a variety of colors and their depth is reflected and refracted so that the principalities and powers cannot truly see the Elohim’s original image. The fallen spiritual sons of the Elohim are not all knowing, not creative, and not capable of doing anything other than subverting creation. Yet the Elohim knew these tares would be sown among the heirs of the adam and a plan was in place before the foundations of this age.
It is through the church that the kaleidoscope of colors and refracted images declares the wisdom of the Elohim. This was the intent of the ages, manufactured and constructed in Yahweh Jesus Messiah. There is a great depth to the Elohim’s wisdom which we cannot begin to comprehend, but that we are part of.

We the church are presented before the Elohim as the temple’s show bread. We are the presenters of the kaleidoscope wisdom of the Elohim, in that we are now heirs with Christ. We are the mystery to all the rebellious principalities and powers in the heavens. This time, what the angel is announcing is the completion of the mystery. The seventh trumpet has not sounded yet.

John eats the scroll and gets a stomach ache, but he has to continue to prophesy over people, nations, languages, and kings. What does that mean? Everyone is prophesied over, it is a warning, simply a foretelling that everyone has the benefit of. Now John is measuring the temple.
Revelation 11:1 G2532 And G1325 was given G1473 to me G2563 a reed measure G3664 likened G4464 to a rod. Forty two months is three and one half years. This is our timeframe, we are still in the first half of the tribulation period. The angel made an announcement saying that the mystery is complete at the time of the seventh trumpet and we are waiting for that seventh trumpet.
During this parenthetical chapter we now look backward to the entire time period of the first three and one half years.
Revelation 11:3 G2532 And G1325 I will give G3588 to G1417 [2two G3144 3witnesses G1473 1my], G2532 and G4395 they shall prophesy G2250 [4days G5507 1a thousand G1250 2two hundred G1835 3sixty] G4016 wearing G4526 sackcloths.
The two witnesses are going to prophesy for three and one half years wearing sackcloth. Their clothes will be noticeable enough but everyone will hear what they have to say.
Revelation 11:4 G3778 These G1510.2.6 are G3588 the G1417 two G1636 olive trees, G2532 and G3588 the G1417 two G3087 lamp-stands, G3588 the ones G1799 [2before G3588 3the G2962 4Lord G3588 5of the G1093 6earth G2476 1standing].
These two witnesses are known figuratively as “two olive trees” and “two lamp-stands”. They stand before the face of the Lord. We find some understanding in the book of Zechariah. Zechariah is awakened by an angel and shown a vision. It is interesting that this was not a dream as Zechariah was sleeping, but he was awakened from sleep. The time period here is the rebuilding of the temple of Nehemiah after captivity.

3 G2532 and G1417 two G1636 olive trees G1883 upon G1473 it, G1520 one G1537 at G1188 the right G3588 G2984.1 of its oil lamp bowl, G1473 G2532 and G1520 one G1537 at G2176 the left.
This is a word of the Lord to Zerubbabel which we quote often.
Zechariah 4:6 G2532 And G611 he responded G2532 and G2036 said G4314 to G1473 me, G3004 saying, G3778 This is G3588 the G3056 word G2962 of the lord G4314 to G* Zerubbabel, G3004 saying, G3756 Not G1722 by G1411 [2power G3173 1great], G3761 nor G1722 by G2479 strength, G235 but G1722 by G4151 my spirit, G1473 G3004 says G2962 the lord G3841 almighty.
The Lord asks a question; he says “Who are you great mountain in front of the face of Zerubbabel to downward succeed?” In other words, the success of the mountain would be due to a spiritual downward feat or success. But Yahweh says it won’t happen.
Zechariah 4:7 G5100 Who G1510.2.2 are G1473 you G3588 G3735 [2mountain G3588 G3173 1great] G4253 before G4383 the face G* of Zerubbabel G3588 G2734.2 to set up? G2532 And G1627 I will bring forth G3588 the G3037 stone G3588 of the G2817 inheritance G2471 [2equaling G5484 3 my favor G5484 1of its favor]. G1473
Yahweh will carry out the stone, lithos, the Christ, the inheritance in fairness on account of his favor. Yahweh will see to Zerubbabel finishing the temple. He says that the seven eyes of the Lord are the ones looking upon all the earth and will rejoice when they see the plumb line in Zerubbabel’s hand. The building of the temple was hindered for sixteen years, not only due to enemies, but also because the people who came back to build the temple built their own houses first. There is a very important reason for the temple to be built at this time. This was the place that the scribes transcribed the Septuagint under the direction of the High Priest. This is the place that the Greeks recognized as a holy place and wanted to know about the religion of the Jews. The construction that Zerubbabel was doing would have a lasting impact on the world. These two men have an unlimited supply of anointing oil. They are like two olive trees that pour oil into the candlesticks so that the menorah will not go out. Let’s read from a previous study.
Zechariah told us in his prophecy of two trees; one on the right and one on the left of the candlestick. It is interesting to note that Zechariah asks a second time, as to an explanation of these two branches of olive trees. They are pouring and recycling the oil by funnels.

13 G2532 And G2036 he spoke G4314 to G1473 me, G3004 saying, G3756 Do you know not G1492 G5100 what G1510.2.3 these are? G3778 G2532 And G2036 I said, G3780 No, G2962 O lord.
Look at verse 13. This should read a bit differently. The angel says don’t you perceive who they are? This is an awesome question. Zechariah had some benefits from his culture as to why he should have perceived who these two olive branches are. We have lost some of this knowledge in our day, but we can gain it back. What Zechariah should have known is who these olive trees, with unlimited power from the Holy Spirit, are. The two are called sons of fatness who stand beside the Lord of all the earth. First, let’s ask who is Lord of all the earth? Yahweh, also known as Jesus. There are two who stand on either side of Jesus. Who are they?

Sons of fatness. Zechariah should have known there were two in history who walked in such a great degree of holiness that they were taken off the earth. They were two anointed men. This history was more recent for Zechariah. The two branches are Enoch and Elijah. Enoch and Elijah are the two olive trees. They are the two witnesses. They will be the two lights during the first half of the tribulation.
Where are these two witnesses standing? Before the lord of the earth. Who is the Lord of the earth? When Enoch and Elijah come to earth, they will be the lights, fueled with an endless supply of oil to illuminate the people left on the earth.

The sons of fatness, or the sons of oiliness, are the two witnesses who will have unlimited powers on earth.
Who are the two witnesses? They are the only two people who still have their bodies and were taken up rather than dying on the earth. They will die on the earth at some point, but they have not died yet. Who were those two people? Elijah and Enoch. It is no wonder that they are wearing sackcloth, that is how they left the earth. They haven’t modernized their wardrobe. This will cause them to stand out among people. They will be noticed as different. Sackcloth can be mohair or camel hair, so we can imagine that these two men will have the attention of the entire world. Remember, the church is not on the earth but in heaven, yet there will still be people on the earth who will become believers during this time.

Enoch and Elijah are the two standing before Yahweh, the two olive trees and the two lamp stands. At this time on the earth, at the beginning of the tribulation, no one can kill them.

If we notice what is happening here, two guys in sackcloth have been given authority over the earth. Anyone who tries to kill them will instead be killed. They will strike the earth with all afflictions and plagues as many times as they desire. What are they doing? They are trying to get the attention of the people on earth. This is why there is a large group from the nations and tribes who believe on Jesus as Messiah. They will hear and see the witnesses and believe. And while they suffer and die during the seal judgments, they will be received into heaven as they have confessed Yahweh Jesus Messiah.
Revelation 11:7 G2532 And G3752 whenever G5055 they should finish G3588 G3141 their witness, G1473 G3588 the G2342 beast, G3588 the one G305 ascending G1537 from out of G3588 the G12 abyss, G4160 will make G3326 [2with G1473 3them G4171 1war], G2532 and G3528 will overcome G1473 them, G2532 and G615 kill G1473 them.
Whenever Enoch and Elijah have completed, teleō, their testimony, the beast that will come out of the abyss will kill them. Remember the locusts had a king, Gog/Abaddon/Apollyon/the destroyer, the angel of the bottomless pit? This is the one who kills Enoch and Elijah. Gog the destroyer comes out of the pit at the fifth trumpet. While the two witnesses are not killed immediately upon Gog’s release, they will still fulfill their three and one half year time period.
Enoch and Elijah had been taken up for a specific purpose. This is their time and place. They will be a “last call” for people of the earth before the Day of the Lord. When they die the earth will rejoice, but what the people on earth do not realize is that things on earth are about to get worse. Rewards will be given out in heaven and the armies of Yahweh Jesus Messiah are preparing their return with him.
