Erasing Jesus; Intentional Sabotage; Immanuel With You

The complexities that surround the attempt to erase Jesus as Messiah are far reaching as we have seen over the past few weeks. We have compared texts and we have noticed several things awry. Changes and alterations were made to the Masoretic text to ensure that Jesus would not be recognized as Lord and Messiah. These alterations started in the first century and spanned nearly 1000 years. Once the Masoretic text was complete, Jews had a text that read differently than the Septuagint. The Septuagint being older and scribed under the authority of the High Priest and the Sanhedrin prophesied a coming Messiah, but when that Messiah actually came he was rejected. Therefore to alter text and to alter meanings and usages of words would be the way to dismiss the one who came as Messiah. We have studied the word Elohim. Yahweh is Elohim, the devil is elohim, angels are elohim, and humans are elohim. Yet the Jews believe Jesus Christ was not Elohim. That means Jesus is the only one who is not Elohim. All anyone needed to do was a simple word study to make sense of the word Elohim, yet somehow we let people lie and confuse us. Also the usage of “im” in a Hebrew word denotes plurality. There is a singular, a duel, and a plural in Hebrew, and plural signifies three or more. Yet the Masorete’s claim that in the word Elohim, the “im” doesn’t count. In every other word in the Hebrew language “im” is plural, except in Elohim. This is the way the Masorete’s deny the Godhead as being Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. And yes the word “trinity” is actually in the Bible, it is in the Aramaic. This alteration of the word Elohim also is an attempt to set the Jews apart from other religions, claiming Christianity to be pagan. So with these two examples alone we start to see a planned pattern emerging.

The Masorete’s also changed the word Yahweh to Adonai over 134 times in the text. E.W. Bullinger notes these discrepancies in appendices 32 and 33 of the Companion Bible. There are two typographical errors in the list and a more accurate listing can be found online, but he still did pretty good work in the 1800’s. Once the usages or meanings of Elohim and Yahweh is distorted, a different message starts to emerge. The new message seems to be that “God” is doing both good and bad things to humankind; that “God” is harsh, and He is too mysterious to figure out. And while Jesus was not erased from history, the new message that emerges from these changes is that Jesus is a questionable individual who was simply born a man, but somehow “became” a savior to the pagans. That idea leads to the distortion of dispensations, where the Jews have tried to erase the idea that a new system of grace and salvation came about after Jesus died. Oddly enough, without the temple from about 70 AD through to today, something obviously changed and without Jesus it changed to the detriment of the Jews. But truly the story is very different. The intentional changes to the text inadvertently changed the truth about the very Elohim the Jews attempt to worship. While people might have thought that these changes would be helpful to their cause, it poisoned the entire world when the Latin text was copied and translated from the Masoretic text.

While it is not my intent to disparage Jews, it is my intent to point out the alterations made so that we have a better understanding of the Bible and what the Holy Spirit wanted communicated to humanity. The Masorete’s have hidden in the shadows accusing the Romans of textual misconduct, and while the Romans merged paganism into Christianity and burned many texts (primarily gnostic writings), the Romans didn’t tamper with the written words, the Masorete’s did. Both parties used social engineering to enhance their cause and both parties were wrong for doing so. The Romans kept Jesus as Lord and God and the Jews dismissed Jesus as Lord and God. We cannot change history but we can use technology to our advantage to uncover alterations that seem to discredit the Bible. The Jewish alterations started in the first century and continued through the Masoretic time period; that amounts to one thousand years of changes before the Masoretic text was finished. The Masorete’s have been responsible for sending their own people into confusion and dismay, ultimately hindering them from their Messiah. Today, supporters of that religion attempt to turn Christians away from Jesus with a confusing gospel that only they can explain, and because the churches are weak in teaching advanced Bible study, people fall away from Jesus. Let’s look at a few key alterations that were actually quotes in the New Testament of Old Testament prophecies and see what we find. We will look at the Septuagint, the New Testament, and the Hebrew Old Testament parallels and then the New Testament Context of the quoted Septuagint verse.

Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; behold, a virgin shall conceive in the womb, and shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Emmanuel. http://ecmarsh.com/lxx/Esaias/index.htm

Matt 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. KJV

Isaiah 7:14 Therefore Adonai  Yahweh/Jehovah himself will give you people a sign: the young woman* will become pregnant, bear a son and name him ‘Immanu El [God is with us]. https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Isaiah+7&version=CJB

To keep this in proper perspective, the Septuagint was written in 300 BC, the New Testament quoted text was written in the first century, and the altered text, whether Masoretic or Modern, was changed after the first century, perhaps as late as 1000 AD. The word Lord here is one of the 134 alterations made, changing Yahweh to Adonai. Yahweh is the word “Lord” here, not Adonai. Another alteration in this verse is the word virgin. The Latin translators actually corrected the error of the text back to virgin so that the King James reads like the Septuagint, but as we see the Complete Jewish Bible (a modern translation derived from the Masoretic text) is altered. This is an attempt to make Joseph the physical father of Jesus. This then would erase the entire section of Jesus’ conception, so that Jesus would not be who he said he was. This is one of the reasons Jews dismiss the New Testament and only read the Old Testament and Revelation.

Matt 1:20-25 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, 23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.24 Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife:25 And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS. KJV

We have looked at Jesus’ name in the Old Testament, and the etymology of the name Jesus. The context of this quote is Joseph considering what to do regarding Mary and her pregnancy. Another interesting point regarding the birth of Jesus is the date of the immaculate conception being in December, which makes Jesus’ birth September. The Jews did not want the person who they didn’t believe was Messiah to be known to be born on Rosh Ha Shanna, so while the pagan ritual of Saturnalia occurred December 25th, the Jews may have had a hand in making sure the truth of Jesus’ birth be distorted.     http://musingsofawinsomeheart.blogspot.com/2013/12/jesus-name-in-old-testament-messiah.html

A prophecy regarding Jesus’ birth and the angels worshipping comes from Deuteronomy. Luke gives us supporting text to the quote from Hebrews as angels did worship at the birth of Jesus. Also, we have studied the distortion of the word “Gentile”, Goy or Goyim; that the Greeks did not have a word that described themselves as “heathen dogs” in comparison to the Jews, and that the word “Gentile” should be translated “Nation/s”. http://musingsofawinsomeheart.blogspot.com/2013/12/gentiles-all-jews-are-goyim-multitudes.html

Deut 32:43 Rejoice, ye heavens, with him, and let all the angels of God worship him; rejoice ye Gentiles, with his people, and let all the sons of God strengthen themselves in him; for he will avenge the blood of his sons, and he will render vengeance, and recompense justice to his enemies, and will reward them that hate him; and the Lord shall purge the land of his people. http://ecmarsh.com/lxx/Deuteronomy/index.htm

Heb 1:6 And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him. KJV

Deut 32:43 Rejoice, O ye nations, with his people: for he will avenge the blood of his servants, and will render vengeance to his adversaries, and will be merciful unto his land, and to his people. KJV

Isn’t it interesting that the Septuagint was quoted by the author of Hebrews?  The author here is speaking regarding Jesus being Elohim, and Jesus’ more excellent name. Here is the context.

Heb 1:4-8 Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son? 6 And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.7 And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. KJV

Luke shows us that this prophecy regarding the angels worshipping was first fulfilled on the night of Jesus’ birth. Angels still worship Jesus.

Luke 2:10-15 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.12 And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.15 And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us. KJV

Another prophecy about Jesus’ coming and the Nations occurs in Isaiah. Jesus comes from the line of David, but interestingly we seem to see the allusion to people other than the Jews rejoicing over his coming.

Isaiah 11:10 And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, and he that shall arise to rule over the Gentiles; in him shall the Gentiles trust, and his rest shall be glorious.. http://ecmarsh.com/lxx/Esaias/index.htm

Rom 15:12 And again, Esaias saith, There shall be a root of Jesse, and he that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in him shall the Gentiles trust. KJV

Isa 11:10 And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious. KJV

The context of the quote by Paul is the Nation’s receiving Jesus as Messiah. The Nations will glorify God, the Nations will sing and rejoice. The Nations will praise the Lord and trust in him.

Rom 15:8-12 Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers:9 And that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among the Gentiles, and sing unto thy name.10 And again he saith, Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with his people.11 And again, Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles; and laud him, all ye people.12 And again, Esaias saith, There shall be a root of Jesse, and he that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in him shall the Gentiles trust. KJV

The next quote from the author of Hebrews points out that Jesus would be the sacrifice for sin, not animals and burnt offerings; this tells us, and all texts agree, that the volume of the book is written of Him. The whole book is written about Jesus, not just a few verses. Yet Jews have been schooled that Jesus was just some prophet, a man, not a savior. But there isn’t any prophet in the entire Bible that had the entire Old Testament written concerning them. All the prophets in the Bible have their prophecies included in the Bible, but the volume of the book is not written about anyone who was a prophet, it was written about the Messiah, Jesus.

Psalm 40:6 Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not; but a body hast thou prepared me: whole-burnt-offering and sacrifice for sin thou didst not require. 7 Then I said, Behold, I come: in the volume of the book it is written concerning me, http://ecmarsh.com/lxx/Psalms/index.htm

Heb 10:5-7 Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure.7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God. KJV

Ps 40:6-7 Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire; mine ears hast thou opened: burnt offering and sin offering hast thou not required.7 Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me, KJV

The blood of bulls and goats cannot take away sins and the Father has no pleasure in them. If we take into account that there has not been a temple since 70 AD, then there is no remission of sin via burnt offerings. There is only remission of sin through Jesus. This is a horrible blunder on the part of those who distorted the text as all Jews are now fully aware of their sin and that they will die in their sins if they reject Jesus. There is no atonement for sin outside of Jesus as Lord and Savior. Sacrifices remind people of sin. Jesus came to take away the sins of the entire world. The Nations (Gentiles) get it and they rejoice, the Jews refuse it and die in their sin.

Heb 10:3-9 But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year.4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.5 Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure.7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.8 Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law;9 Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second. KJV

Jesus eradicated the first way to be forgiven of sin so that he could establish the second way, through His death on the cross. He also gave us a name, His name, to trust in.

Isaiah 42:3 A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench; but he shall bring forth judgment to truth. 4He shall shine out, and shall not be discouraged, until he have set judgment on the earth: and in his name shall the Gentiles trust. http://ecmarsh.com/lxx/Esaias/index.htm

Matt 12:20-21 A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench, till he send forth judgment unto victory.21 And in his name shall the Gentiles trust. KJV

Isa 42:4 He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law. KJV

The distortion here suggests that the “Isles” will then practice the law. This idea comes from the understanding that many people from a few of the tribes of Israel left during the exodus and during the diaspora to other places, such as the Greek Isles, Spain, and the British Isles. Those who left before the law was given did not follow the law, and those who may have heard of the law could not practice all of it as there was no temple in that part of the world. The belief of the Jews was that their kin would receive the laws and follow them in the future. Paul went west to these places preaching Jesus and those who were from the tribes of Dan and Issachar readily received salvation through Jesus. Those people later became known by various groups such as the Druids, the Celts, the Angelos, and the Saxons.

Matt 12:14-21 Then the Pharisees went out, and held a council against him, how they might destroy him.15 But when Jesus knew it, he withdrew himself from thence: and great multitudes followed him, and he healed them all;16 And charged them that they should not make him known:17 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying,18 Behold my servant, whom I have chosen; my beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my spirit upon him, and he shall shew judgment to the Gentiles.19 He shall not strive, nor cry; neither shall any man hear his voice in the streets.20 A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench, till he send forth judgment unto victory.21 And in his name shall the Gentiles trust. KJV

We should ask, how did Jesus know the Pharisees were plotting against him? Jesus left the area and healed all the people that followed him, but he asked them to keep it a secret. Jesus held the Jews accountable for not knowing the time of his visitation, Luke 19:44. Since Daniel prophesied the exact date the Messiah would ride into Jerusalem and be announced, the Jews should have been watching and waiting. Then, as prophesied, the Messiah would be cut off, or executed, and that should have sealed who Jesus was in their understanding. Again we notice that the Nations are happy about Jesus’ coming, not the Jews. This is a possible reason as to why the Book of Daniel has been dreadfully cut up and altered by the Masorete’s.

We have already studied Isaiah 61:1 and Psalms 22:16 regarding one of the attributes of the Messiah recovering sight to the blind and the piercing of his hands, so I will not reiterate those verses but leave the links here. Yet it seems no matter how much textual alterations there are, the knowledge of Jesus still adds disciples. Jesus is still the Messiah who takes away the sins of the world, and there is no special exemption for the unbelieving Jews. In fact, that is what the period of the tribulation is all about, either accepting or rejecting Jesus as Messiah. http://musingsofawinsomeheart.blogspot.com/2014/10/recovery-of-sight-to-blind-isaiah-61.html   http://musingsofawinsomeheart.blogspot.com/2014/11/jesus-face-god-of-living-resurrection.html

Many people have done many horrendous things since the beginning of time because the devil is the elohim of this world, who comes to steal, kill, and destroy. And while it is up to us to resist the devil, Jesus has not left us at all. In fact another textual alteration occurs in an untranslated word in Matthew when Jesus, in his resurrected body, gives his disciples instructions. While the KJV omits the word hemera, #2250, the ISV includes it.

Matt 28:18-20Then Jesus approached them and told them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore, as you go, disciple [3100] people in all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to obey everything that I’ve commanded you. And remember, I am with you each and every day [2250] until the end of the age.”  ISV

NT:3100 matheteuo (math-ayt-yoo'-o); from NT:3101; intransitively, to become a pupil; transitively, to disciple, i.e. enrol as scholar: KJV - be disciple, instruct, teach.
NT:3101 mathetes (math-ay-tes'); from NT:3129; a learner, i.e. pupil: KJV - disciple.(Biblesoft's New Exhaustive Strong's Numbers and Concordance with Expanded Greek-Hebrew Dictionary. Copyright © 1994, 2003, 2006 Biblesoft, Inc. and International Bible Translators, Inc.)

NT:2250 hemera (hay-mer'-ah); feminine (with NT:5610 implied) of a derivative of hemai (to sit; akin to the base of NT:1476) meaning tame, i.e. gentle; day, i.e. (literally) the time space between dawn and dark, or the whole 24 hours (but several days were usually reckoned by the Jews as inclusive of the parts of both extremes); figuratively, a period (always defined more or less clearly by the context): KJV - age,  alway, (mid-) day (by day, [-ly]),  for ever, judgment, (day) time, while, years.
NT:5610 hora (ho'-rah); apparently a primary word; an "hour" (literally or figuratively): KJV - day, hour, instant, season,  short, [even-] tide, (high) time. (Biblesoft's New Exhaustive Strong's Numbers and Concordance with Expanded Greek-Hebrew Dictionary. Copyright © 1994, 2003, 2006 Biblesoft, Inc. and International Bible Translators, Inc.)

Firstly, we see here Jesus asking his disciples to make disciples of others. In other words Jesus is asking his followers to enroll others in school. This is what Paul told us to do as well. We are not to just preach, lecture, or tell others what to do or how to live, we are to teach and disciple others. That means instead of always having a quick answer for others, we want to teach the way to the answers to questions and allow others to search out the scriptures for themselves.

2 Tim 1:18 And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also. KJV

Secondly, we see Jesus declaring all exousia (authority) is given to him in heaven and earth. All exercised authority as a potentate or magistrate is given to Jesus in heaven and in earth. While all authority is given to Jesus, the day of His commissioning and coronation as king over all the earth is in the near future. On that day, the day the lease of the devil as god of this world expires, which had been Adam’s before the devil stole it from him, Jesus will take back rulership of the earth. Jesus has the keys now to death and hell, so authority in heaven is his as far as the death of humans, but his authority of the world is soon approaching.

Thirdly, Jesus says I am with you all the days until the end of the age. From sun up to sun down, all days until the end of the world, Jesus is with us. Colossians tells us it is Christ in us the hope of glory, Col 1:27. We cannot get any closer than that until he calls the redeemed up. It is a shame that there are people who have been kept from the knowledge of Christ with us. Isn’t that what Immanuel/Emmanuel means, God with us? Yes Jesus is Elohim and he is with us every day.

While the attempt to erase Jesus from history failed, a great deal of confusion was added to a text that had never been confusing. As all of these changes unfold, we start to see a very simple, clean, and quite understandable message to humankind. People wonder why they don’t understand the scriptures, but that is due in part to one group adding pagan traditions, and another attempting to disqualify Jesus as Messiah, and people not enrolling in school, discipleship school. It takes more than opinions, religious belief systems, and physical structures to grow up in knowledge. Likewise, we can’t assume that what someone told us is always true without digging into these topics. If we rely on Masoretic texts and ideals, we will be mixed up. If we go further back in history to older texts, we will be able to find some wonderful surprises regarding who we are and who our Messiah is.

Omni-God; His Name is Yahweh Mighty Almighty, I AM I Exist

There is a God (Elohim) who is omnipotent, omnipresent, and omniscience. He wants a personal relationship with us. Omnipotent is a transliteration of Almighty. To learn about Him we need to look beyond our existence of 3-4 dimensions.  We are limited in our scope due to our limitations in a 3-4 dimensional mindset. What we see and experience is what we know, which is normal but not quite accurate or all there is to it. We have developed rules, laws, theories, and hypotheses regarding the world around us but Yahweh is beyond all of that. For example gravity is not a constant in higher dimensions. Actually, gravity is not a constant in our 3 dimensions as we will consider. Therefore, to understand the Omni-Elohim, we have to review dimensions and look at a broader picture of our existing world and the spiritual beings that exist, and observe our world from a 30,000 foot view.

Starting with gravity, as I mentioned it is not the same everywhere that humans can exist. The International Space Station is one example, if one were to let go of an apple from one’s hand it could float off in multiple directions, while the same apple on earth would fall to one’s feet. Jesus existed in multiple dimensions as he defied gravity and walked on water. Somehow the water became like solid material. Jesus defied gravity in his resurrected body also. In his resurrected body he moved in at least eleven dimensions, walking through walls, eating and drinking with holes in his body, and appearing and disappearing from various sites at various times. Yet he was solid and touchable. When Jesus walked on the water, do you suppose he didn’t know where the disciples were? Was he searching the Sea of Galilee for them or did he walk in their direction? When he spoke to the Samaritan woman at the well, mentioning she had had five husbands, had he been observing her life from an earthly perspective or from a knowledge outside of our physical realm. Do you see where we are going with this? Jesus not only walked on the water, which is a physical anomaly, he already knew where the disciples were and the woman’s personal story. Jesus came in human form but was inter-dimensional.

We can see that the rules we have determined exist, only exist in part. The rules of gravity also do not exist for the sons of God. Angels, Cherubim, Ophanim, and Seraphim all exist in a similar manner. They can come and go in various ways and sometimes angels appear as men, Hebrews 13:2. The Ophanim are the curious ones here, as they seem to be the transporters, in a vortex or wormhole type way. The Ophan have physical characteristics such as heads, arms, backs, eyes, eyebrows, and they walk as well as revolve, taking up Enoch and Elijah, or moving the glory of God out of the temple. Another interesting thing the Ophan did was create a vortex around Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego. Although the Masorete’s chopped up the Book of Daniel, the text exists in the Septuagint and in Apocryphal texts like the King James. It is known as “The Song of the Three Holy Children” or the “Prayer of Azarias” which should have been part of chapter 3 of Daniel; Pr Azar25-27. This is a dimension we do not understand. Spiritual beings moving in our world without our immediate knowledge, affecting events and altering outcomes.

Paul gave us the bounds of our world and mentions that the love of God supersedes it when he spoke of the length, depth, breadth, and height of God’s love. Any combination of those three points plus time equals the four dimensions we function in. How is it that other beings can come and go superseding the rules and laws of physics? Because our ideas of basic physics are based on 3-4 dimensions and it is not until we get into theoretical physics that we begin to understand some of these issues. Matter is not a constant in higher dimensions, as we already considered Jesus walking through walls or on water, other spiritual beings have that ability as well. Our chair looks solid, but we know that the chair is in fact not solid. We sit down as if it is solid but molecules, atoms, and quarks are all moving. And with a body that was solid to the touch, Jesus defied what we know as true and walked through walls. Imagine now what Paul said about the love of God; it is beyond our carnal mindset, Eph 3:18.

Time is another interesting dimension. Humans have a beginning point on earth, birth, and an ending point on earth, death. But our spirit lives beyond our beginning and ending on earth. We are not cognizant of that in our daily lives but when one nears death, one recognizes the lack of control humans really have in the matter. However Yahweh sees all time, all beginnings and endings. The “Secrets of Enoch” tells us that there are different places for different beings and that time is appointed. Just like the angel told Daniel the exact day that the Messiah would ride into Jerusalem on a colt, and he did, other times have been appointed. Many people have blurred the lines of these appointed times for political and religious gains, but with a little digging we can find the information.

The Secrets of Enoch 33:1 AND I appointed the eighth day also, that the eighth day should be the first-created after my work, and that the first seven revolve in the form of the seventh thousand, and that at the beginning of the eighth thousand there should be a time of not-counting, endless, with neither years nor months nor weeks nor days nor hours. http://www.sacred-texts.com/bib/fbe/fbe140.htm

Barnabas tells us a bit more.

Barnabas 13:4 Consider, my children, what that signifies, he finished them in six days. The meaning of it is this; that in six thousand years the Lord God will bring all things to an end. 5 For with him one day is a thousand years; as himself testifieth, saying, Behold this day shall be as a thousand years. Therefore, children, in six days, that is, in six thousand years, shall all things be accomplished.6 And what is that he saith, And he rested the seventh day: he meaneth this; that when his Son shall come, and abolish the season of the Wicked One, and judge the ungodly; and shall change the sun and the moon, and the stars; then he shall gloriously rest in that seventh day.7 He adds lastly; Thou shalt sanctify it with clean hands and a pure heart. Wherefore we are greatly deceived if we imagine that any one can now sanctify that day which God has made holy, without having a heart pure in all things.8 Behold therefore he will then truly sanctify it with blessed rest, when we (having received the righteous promise, when iniquity shall be no more, all things being renewed by the Lord) shall be able to sanctify it, being ourselves first made holy.9 Lastly, he saith unto them: Your new moons and you: sabbaths I cannot bear them. Consider what he means by it; the sabbaths, says he, which ye now keep are not acceptable unto me, but those which I have made; when resting from all things I shall begin the eighth day, that is, the beginning of the other world.10 For which cause we observe the eighth day with gladness, in which Jesus rose from the dead; and having manifested himself to his disciples, ascended into heaven. http://www.sacred-texts.com/bib/lbob/lbob17.htm

Peter says:

2 Peter 3:8-9 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. KJV

Irenaeus says this:

Irenaeus Against Heresies Book 5, 28:3. For in as many days as this world was made, in so many thousand years shall it be concluded. And for this reason the Scripture says: Thus the heaven and the earth were finished, and all their adornment. And God brought to a conclusion upon the sixth day the works that He had made; and God rested upon the seventh day from all His works. Genesis 2:2 This is an account of the things formerly created, as also it is a prophecy of what is to come. For the day of the Lord is as a thousand years; 2 Peter 3:8 and in six days created things were completed: it is evident, therefore, that they will come to an end at the sixth thousand year. http://www.newadvent.org/fathers/0103528.htm

The understanding of time, in our existence is mapped out. As Yahweh sees the entire picture we have to understand that the plan is already in place, neither we nor any other elohim can change that. We are looking for the millennial reign of Christ then the time period we are encapsulated in will be finished. The prophecies of these events are the same as other prophecies given about the coming of Jesus. When we read those prophecies we wonder how it is that they were so accurate. Aside from the fact that the Holy Spirit wrote these prophecies, we recognize the details are complex, in comparison to the pseudo-prophets of today who have mastered the PT Barnum style prophecy.

The Elohim who supersedes all dimensions has a personal name. But there is a bit of confusion between the Greek and Hebrew texts. The Greek texts sometimes uses the same words for both Old and New Testaments so there is a bit more cohesion. Remember the Septuagint was written in 300 BC under the direction of the High Priest and Sanhedrin, commissioned by Ptolemy. The Masoretic Text was written from 300 AD to 1000 AD without any supervision. and not under any proper direction. We are at the mercy of both texts to understand this section.

Septuagint, Exodus 6:3 And I appeared to Abraam and Isaac and Jacob, being their God, but I did not manifest to them my name Lord. http://ecmarsh.com/lxx/Exodus/index.htm

Let’s first start off with the phrase “being their God”. It seems the Jew’s used the word being as mighty. He is the Elohim of Being, or Existing. If this is the case we have something interesting coming up. But first let’s explore this. The AP Polyglot says:

Exodus 6:3G2532AndG3708I appeared G4314toG*Abraham, G2532andG*Isaac, G2532andG*Jacob, G2316[3God G1510.61beingG14732their].G2532AndG3588 G3686my name, G1473 G2962the lord, G3756was not G1213manifested G1473to them. http://studybible.info/ABP_Strongs/Exodus%206

Let’s look at the word being, #1510 and the sub usage 1510.6
NT:1510 eimiI. eimi has the force of a predicate to be,
NT:1510.6
VI. As in classical Greek, so also in the N.T. eimi is very often omitted
eimi, to go, John 7:34,36
(from Thayer's Greek Lexicon, Electronic Database. Copyright © 2000, 2003, 2006 by Biblesoft, Inc. All rights reserved.)

NT:1510 eimi (i-mee'); the first person singular present indicative; a prolonged form of a primary and defective verb; I exist (used only when emphatic): KJV - am, have been,  it is I, was. See also NT:1488, NT:1498, NT:1511, NT:2258, NT:2071, NT:2070, NT:2075, NT:2076, NT:2468, NT:5600, NT:5607. The sub usage of eimi is often omitted, but probably implied. The Complete Jewish Bible says:

Complete Jewish Bible, Ex 6:3 I appeared to Avraham, Yitz’chak and Ya‘akov as El Shaddai, although I did not make myself known to them by my name, Yud-Heh-Vav-Heh [Adonai] https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Exodus+6&version=CJB

Here the translators say he appeared as El Shaddai, Mighty Almighty, not simply being their God. That is a different meaning. We will observe Be’el shortly. Also pay close attention to what the translators did here, they changed the YHWH to Adonai. YHWH or in later years YHVH is Yahweh not Adonai. If we change the word, we go from a personal name, Yahweh, to a title, Lord. If our purpose is to understand the Omni-God we have to stop taking His name out of our text. Let’s look at the word that is translated “by the name of God” as there are a few extra words here.

A rough, more literal translation would be: I appeared unto Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, as mighty almighty named Yahweh but not manifest or known to Israelis.

The Septuagint suggests Yahweh was telling Moses that Yahweh appeared to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob since he was their Almighty. The Hebrew suggests when Yahweh was speaking to Moses he was telling him he appeared to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob as the Mighty Almighty named Yahweh. The difference may seem small but it does change the meaning. If this is a Hebrew alteration they actually shot themselves in the foot. If it is not and the Septuagint did not recognize the importance of what was being said, the rest of this study will magnify this verses’ importance.

The Israelites did not know the personal name of the El Shaddai. They knew there was a God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, they didn’t know his personal name. If we take this verse out of context we will have a problem. It seems Abraham, Jacob, and Eliezer used the personal name Yahweh as well as Moses. But the verse by itself suggests the “them” is Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Rather the “them” is the Israelites who will inherit Canaan. The patriarchs as well as others used Yahweh’s personal name before Jacob’s sons ended up in captivity but several hundred years later they were now going to be informed of the personal name of the Omni-Elohim who would deliver them. Let’s look at Young’s for proper context.

Ex 5:22-6:4 And Moses turneth back unto Jehovah, and saith, 'Lord, why hast Thou done evil to this people? why [is] this? — Thou hast sent me!23 and since I have come unto Pharaoh, to speak in Thy name, he hath done evil to this people, and Thou hast not at all delivered Thy people.'6:1 And Jehovah saith unto Moses, 'Now dost thou see that which I do to Pharaoh, for with a strong hand he doth send them away, yea, with a strong hand he doth cast them out of his land.'2 And God speaketh unto Moses, and saith unto him, 'I [am] Jehovah,3 and I appear unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, as God Almighty; as to My name Jehovah, I have not been known to them;4 and also I have established My covenant with them, to give to them the land of Canaan, the land of their sojournings, wherein they have sojourned; YLT

The idea of “being” is the context for existing. We see this idea of Yahweh Being when Moses is trying to figure out what to tell people about who told him to gather everyone up and leave Egypt. Moses has to tell them the existent one, the I AM is sending him. Let’s look at the Hebrew first.

Ex 3:14 And God said unto Moses, I AM [1916] THAT I AM [1916]: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM [1916] hath sent me unto you. KJV

OT:1961 hayah (haw-yaw); a primitive root [compare OT:1933]; to exist, i.e. be or become, come to pass (always emphatic, and not a mere copula or auxiliary): KJV - beacon,  altogether, be (-come), accomplished, committed, like), break, cause, come (to pass), do, faint, fall,  follow, happen,  have, last, pertain, quit (oneself-), require,  use. (Biblesoft's New Exhaustive Strong's Numbers and Concordance with Expanded Greek-Hebrew Dictionary. Copyright © 1994, 2003, 2006 Biblesoft, Inc. and International Bible Translators, Inc.)

The Greek uses the word eimi and its variations to describe the I AM.

Exodus 3:14G2532AndG2036God saidG3588 G2316 G4314toG*Moses, G1473I G1510.2.1am G3588the oneG1510.6being.G2532And G2036he said,G3779ThusG2046you shall sayG3588to theG5207sonsG*of Israel, G3588The one G1510.6being G649has sent G1473me G4314to G1473you.  http://studybible.info/ABP_Strongs/Exodus%203

Notice the 1510.2.1 and 1510.6, the definition of 1510.2.1 is in respect to character. The “I” is I or me, so what we see is the idea of I Exist or I Be or I AM. It is a past, a present, and a future state of actuality. The always. This makes sense as we will see Jesus said he is and was and is to come. Yahweh has always been, and will always be. He is not entrapped in a human form like we are, so that he starts at birth and finishes at death. He just is. The Greek texts use the same word in Exodus 3 & 6 for Being, while the Hebrew word in Exodus 6 means mighty and in Exodus 3 means be or become.

NT:1473 ego (eg-o'); a primary pronoun of the first person I (only expressed when emphatic): KJV - I, me. For the other cases and the plural see NT:1691, NT:1698, NT:1700, NT:2248, NT:2249, NT:2254, NT:2257, etc. (Biblesoft's New Exhaustive Strong's Numbers and Concordance with Expanded Greek-Hebrew Dictionary. Copyright © 1994, 2003, 2006 Biblesoft, Inc. and International Bible Translators, Inc.)

NT:1510.2.1
II. eimi (as a copula) connects the subject with the predicate, where the sentence shows who or what a person or thing is as respects character, nature, disposition, race, power, dignity, greatness, age, etc.
1.         universally: Luke 1:18
(from Thayer's Greek Lexicon, Electronic Database. Copyright © 2000, 2003, 2006 by Biblesoft, Inc. All rights reserved.)

There is more to this idea of Yahweh as being or existing. Other spiritual beings were created, so they had a starting point. Other spiritual beings are not mighty almighty, and they do not know all the details of our time frame as Jesus said in regards to the new heavens and new earth, that not even the angels know the time of that event. This is important to understand. The devil has no idea about time. While he can be inter-dimensional, he is limited. The devil is not all knowing, all existing, or all powerful. He is simply just a hack. He would like to be like Yahweh but he will never be close. Further, demons are bound to earth, they are not inter-dimensional, and they are locked into the same constraints of time and space as we are. If we go back to our studies regarding the word Elohim, we see why this is important.

In an effort to be respectful and honor the personal name of Yahweh, the Jews came up with the idea of not using His name at all, thereby avoiding any blasphemous words. Instead they favored using Adonai or Elohim which both mean ruler or master. In today’s vernacular it would be like calling someone king or president. The problem is that those words were not meant to be the personal name of Yahweh but that is how they are used. Other beings are called elohim or adonai, not just Yahweh. This is what has led to much confusion as well as heresy. People feel safe misrepresenting Yahweh claiming he is saying and doing things contrary to his written word because in reality they are simply saying “the ruler said” or “the master is doing”. Who is the ruler or master? Is it Yahweh, the devil, angels or men? So what started out as reverence became twisted into a confusing mess. People unwilling to use Yahweh’s name the same way the patriarchs did are able to hide behind lies and falsehoods. Which brings us back to our next point.

The Septuagint and the Greek New Testament sometimes use the same words in the Old and New Testament scripture. We have seen how exact the Greek language is, using separate words for things rather than adjectives to describe a word. For example in English we have one word for power, while the Greek has several. The English uses more words to describe what type of power is being spoken of while the Greek word used is the specific type of power spoken of.

Jesus was testifying of himself, but the Pharisees said his testimony wasn’t true.

John 8:13 The Pharisees therefore said unto him, Thou bearest record of thyself; thy record is not true. KJV

Jesus tells them who he is but they did not believe him. In Exodus 3 Yahweh tells Moses what his name is and that it will be a remembrance forever and ever. The problem is we have culturally, socially and physically erased it from our lives. Exodus 3:14, Yahweh said he was I AM.

Ex 3:15 And God [Elohim] said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, The Lord [Yahweh] God [Elohim] of your fathers, the God [Elohim] of Abraham, the God [Elohim] of Isaac, and the God [Elohim] of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations. KJV

His name is I AM, Yahweh. This is His name forever. It was erased because Jesus told the Jews who he was.

John 8:57 G2036Then said G3767 G3588the G*Jews G4314to G1473him, G4004[3fifty G20944years G37682not yet G21921You have],G2532andG*[2AbrahamG37081you have seen]?

Oh boy, that was a bold statement. Jesus said he was I AM, the same I AM that spoke to Moses, the same Mighty Almighty who spoke to Abraham. Just his name alone denotes multi-dimensions, always Being, or Existing. No wonder the Jews erased the usage of the Ever Existent One. They assumed Jesus could not be the one who exists beyond our 4 dimensions, yet Jesus was defying four dimensions while on earth. His healing of so many people alone tells us he had a knowledge and ability beyond what they knew, not to mention his re-appearing after taking back the keys to hell and death. Jesus just said he was I AM, the one Abraham knew.

Gen 17:1-7 WHEN ABRAM was ninety-nine years old, the Lord [Yahweh] appeared to him and said, I am the Almighty God [El Shaddi, Mighty Almighty]; walk and live habitually before Me and be perfect (blameless, wholehearted, complete). 2 And I will make My covenant (solemn pledge) between Me and you and will multiply you exceedingly. 3 Then Abram fell on his face, and God [Elohim] said to him, 4 As for Me, behold, My covenant (solemn pledge) is with you, and you shall be the father of many nations. 5 Nor shall your name any longer be Abram [high, exalted father]; but your name shall be Abraham [father of a multitude], for I have made you the father of many nations. 6 And I will make you exceedingly fruitful and I will make nations of you, and kings will come from you. 7 And I [Aleph Tav] will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you throughout their generations for an everlasting, solemn pledge, to be a God [Elohim] to you and to your posterity after you. [Gal 3:16.] AMP

Moses writes of Abraham’s experience as Yahweh the Mighty Almighty Aleph Tav being an Elohim to Abraham. Remember Aleph is A and Tav is Z, it is the first and last letters of the Hebrew Alphabet, just like Alpha and Omega. It is also a marker in Paleo Hebrew, the strong man and the cross, or in other words, look for the strong man on the cross. I think that about sums up why the Jews detested Jesus. They did not want Jesus to be their Elohim.

Rev 1:8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty [3841]. KJV

Almighty here means “all dominion” or “all ruling”. Jesus proclaims himself to be the all ruling one, who is, who was, and who is to come. It is logical in our church culture for us to only understand things on an elementary level because churches are not designed to teach knowledge but practical living. But some would say that if Yahweh is almighty why then is the world a mess? It is a good question.

Isa 45:18-19 For this is what the Lord [Yahweh] says, who created the heavens—he is God [the Elohim], and the one who formed the earth and made it, and he is the one who established it; he didn’t create it for chaos, but formed it to be inhabited—“I am the Lord [Yahweh] and there is no other.19 I didn’t speak in secret, from somewhere in a land of darkness; I didn’t say to Jacob’s descendants, ‘Seek me in chaos. ’I, the Lord [Yahweh], speak truth, declaring what is right. ISV

The earth was not created in or for chaos and Yahweh didn’t tell people to seek him in chaos, we know it became chaos from Genesis 1:2, the story was going on long before we got here. The self-eternal Omni-Elohim knows and understands how humans are living and he is not distant, he wants a personal relationship with us.

The Secrets of Enoch 33:2 And now, Enoch, all that I have told thee, all that thou hast understood, all that thou hast seen of heavenly things, all that thou hast seen on earth, and all that I have written in books by my great wisdom, all these things I have devised and created from the uppermost foundation to the lower and to the end, and there is no counsellor nor inheritor to my creations. 3 I am self-eternal, not made with hands, and without change. http://www.sacred-texts.com/bib/fbe/fbe140.htm

Yahweh doesn’t change, he was not made with hands, and is self-eternal. Just before the Day of the Lord, the day Jesus comes back with his armies to make an end of the devil’s rule and eliminate the beast and false prophet, the praise of heaven announces Yahweh Mighty Omnipotent, the All Ruling, is ready for marriage.

Rev 19:6-7 After that I heard what sounded like the shout of a vast throng, like the boom of many pounding waves, and like the roar of terrific and mighty peals of thunder, exclaiming, Hallelujah (praise the Lord)! For now the Lord our God the Omnipotent [3841] (the All-Ruler) reigns! 7 Let us rejoice and shout for joy [exulting and triumphant]! Let us celebrate and ascribe to Him glory and honor, for the marriage of the Lamb [at last] has come, and His bride has prepared herself. [Ps 118:24.] AMP

The marriage of the Lamb denotes a personal, intimate relationship some people will have with the Omni-God. This is not a mystery even if people have tried to erase parts of the Bible. By the Hebrew understanding of Exodus 3 & 6, we see Jesus then had the opportunity to announce himself as the I AM. The Septuagint doesn’t minimize that, but doesn’t pronounce the importance of Being as mighty, but rather as Existing. Jesus declared he was the Mighty Almighty, the Existing one. He is I AM.

Yahweh lives in all dimensions, forever existent and has been known as the Mighty Almighty, and is known as the I AM, His forever name. Yahweh’s name was told to the Israelis and it should be used today so we do not confuse Yahweh with another elohim. If we are afraid to use his personal name we should make sure that what we are saying is true, not a lie. And rather than proclaiming, ruler, king or president, we should be willing to announce Yahweh to the seekers and searchers. He is a personal Mighty, Almighty, I AM.
