Bowls; Uninhabitable; Moving to Megiddo; Don’t be Naked; Revelation 16

We see the bowls poured out in very specific places, such as the waters, the earth, the beasts’ throne, and the lower air. There distinct reasons for the way these bowls are poured out, it is to corral people from places that become uninhabitable to place that are habitable. With the small amount of people left on the earth, the Lord is pushing people into one place. We have already seen the system of Babylon collapse under the wild beast. Now the mega-city, Babylon, will see a final destruction and the people will cross the Euphrates to find a place to live. All of this is in preparation for the Day of the Lord.

Revelation 16:1-21 (KJV)
1  And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth.
2  And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image.

 Revelation 16: 1 G2532 And G191 I heard G5456 [2voice G3173 1a great] G1537 from out of G3588 the G3485 temple, G3004 saying G3588 to the G2033 seven G32 angels, G5217 Go G1632 pour out G3588 the G5357 bowls G3588 of the G2372 rage G3588   G2316 of God G1519 unto G3588 the G1093 earth!
  2 G2532 And G565 went forth G3588 the G4413 first, G2532 and G1632 he poured out G3588   G5357 his bowl G1473   G1909 upon G3588 the G1093 earth, G2532 and G1096 there became G1668 [4sore G2556 1a hurtful G2532 2and G4190 3severe] G1519 to G3588 the G444 men, G3588 the ones G2192 having G3588 the G5480 imprint G3588 of the G2342 beast, G2532 and G3588 the ones G4352 doing obeisance G3588 to G1504 his image. G1473

1668 LSJ Gloss:ἕλκος a wound
Dodson:ἕλκος a festering sore a (festering) sore, a wound.
Thayer:
1) a wound, esp. a wound producing a discharge pus
2) a sore, an ulcer

ἕλκος
helkos hel'-kos Probably from G1670; an ulcer (as if drawn together) KJV Usage: sore.

2556 LSJ Gloss:κακός bad
Dodson:κακός bad, evil bad, evil, in the widest sense.
age: bad, evil, harm, ill, noisome, wicked.
Thayer:
1) of a bad nature
1a) not such as it ought to be
2) of a mode of thinking, feeling, acting
2a) base, wrong, wicked
3) troublesome, injurious, pernicious, destructive, baneful

κακός
kakos kak-os' Apparently a primary word; worthless (intrinsically such; whereas G4190 properly refers to effects), that is, (subjectively) depraved, or (objectively) injurious KJV Usage: bad, evil, harm, ill, noisome, wicked.

4190 LSJ Gloss:πονηρός toilsome, painful, grievous
Dodson:πονηρός evil, bad, wicked evil, bad, wicked, malicious, slothful.
Thayer:
1) full of labours, annoyances, hardships
1a) pressed and harassed by labours
1b) bringing toils, annoyances, perils; of a time full of peril to Christian faith and steadfastness; causing pain and trouble
2) bad, of a bad nature or condition
2a) in a physical sense: diseased or blind
2b) in an ethical sense: evil wicked, bad

πονηρός
ponēros pon-ay-ros' From a derivative of G4192; hurtful, that is, evil (properly in effect or influence, and thus differing from G2556, which refers rather to essential character, as well as from G4550, which indicates degeneracy from original virtue); figuratively calamitous; also (passively) ill, that is, diseased; but especially (morally) culpable, that is, derelict, vicious, facinorous; neuter (singular) mischief, malice, or (plural) guilt; masculine (singular) the devil, or (plural) sinners KJV Usage: bad, evil, grievous, harm, lewd, malicious, wicked (-ness). See also G4191.

The Bible is very specific here. These are festering sores, like skin ulcers that are painfully injurious. This only effects those who take the mark of the Beast and worship his image. It will be noticeable as to who has not taken the mark or worships the image as those people will not have oozing scabby skin lesions causing them pain. This is the beginning of the refinement of the approximate 4 million Jews left on the earth, who are now calling on the Lord.

Revelation 16:3  And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man: and every living soul died in the sea.

Revelation 16:3 G2532 And G3588 the G1208 second G32 angel G1632 poured out G3588   G5357 his bowl G1473   G1519 into G3588 the G2281 sea, G2532 and G1096 it became G129 blood G5613 as if G3498 of a dead one; G2532 and G3956 every G5590 [2soul G2198 1living] G599 died G1722 in G3588 the G2281 sea.

129 LSJ Gloss:αἷμα blood

1b) refers to the seat of life
1c) of those things that resemble blood, grape juice
2) blood shed, to be shed by violence, slay, murder

αἷμα
aima hah'ee-mah Of uncertain derivation; blood, literally (of men or animals), figuratively (the juice of grapes) or specifically (the atoning blood of Christ); by implication bloodshed, also kindred KJV Usage: blood.

At this point in the tribulation, people may have been relying on eating fish and other marine life as the earth has not been producing food. Yet here all the marine life dies. The sea becomes blood. This is not like a red tide, it is very specifically blood. We saw how much blood was shed from the winepress, meaning when the beast rises to kill those who do not take the mark or worship his image. There was enough earthly bloodshed to fill Lake Powell (see our study on Revelation 14). This bowl being poured out produces so much blood in the sea that all the marine life dies off. All animals and sea creatures have soul life, psuchē. All the ones living will now die; that is whales, sharks, lobsters, crabs, jelly fish, eels, and all other fish. There will not be any fish to eat from the sea. The third bowl now affects the fresh waters.

Revelation 16:4  And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters; and they became blood.
5  And I heard the angel of the waters say, Thou art righteous, O Lord, which art, and wast, and shalt be, because thou hast judged thus.

Revelation 16:4 G2532 And G3588 the G5154 third G32 angel G1632 poured out G3588   G5357 his bowl G1473   G1519 into G3588 the G4215 rivers G2532 and G3588 the G4077 springs G3588 of the G5204 waters, G2532 and G1096 they became G129 blood.
5 G2532 And G191 I heard G3588 the G32 angel G3588 of the G5204 waters G3004 saying, G1342 Righteous G1510.2.2 are you, G3588 the G1510.6 being one, G2532 and G3588 the one G1510.7.3 who was, G3588 the G3741 sacred one, G3754 that G3778 [2these things G2919 1you judged].

To the person who rejects Yahweh, killing all salt and fresh water fish does not seem righteous. Remember from last week’s study, we saw that Yahweh calls us all drunk. This is why we still have people on the earth at this point who reject Yahweh as Lord and Savior. The angel of the waters calls Yahweh righteous. Angels are called by their function and there is an angel of the waters. That angel says Yahweh is just or faultless for observing divine laws. Yahweh is the one who is, and the one who was, the one who is holy and pure. The sacred one judicially decreed this judgment for those taking the mark or worshiping the image of the wild beast. We have to understand that there are laws on the books of the Heavenly Father’s realm. These laws will be enacted because the satan has influenced at least half of the 2.5 billion people to follow the wild beast. The wild beast is not a creator, although technically called an elohim. The wild beast is a man influenced by demonic spirits to perform pseudo miracles, just like the sons of Balaam, Jannes and Jambres (http://www.sacred-texts.com/chr/apo/jasher/79.htm). The angel of the waters continues:

Revelation 16:6  For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and thou hast given them blood to drink; for they are worthy.

Revelation 16:6 G3754 For the G129 blood G39 of holy ones G2532 and G4396 prophets G1632 they poured out, G2532 and G129 [2them blood G1473   G1325 1you gave] G4095 to drink, G514 [2worthy G1510.2.6 1they are].

514 LSJ Gloss:ἄξιος weighing as much
Dodson:ἄξιος worthy, worthy of, deserving worthy, worthy of, deserving, comparable, suitable.
Thayer:
1) weighing, having weight, having the weight of another thing of like value, worth as much
2) befitting, congruous, corresponding to a thing
3) of one who has merited anything worthy
3a) both in a good and a bad sense

ἄξιος
axios ax'-ee-os Probably from G71; deserving, comparable or suitable (as if drawing praise) KJV Usage: due reward, meet, [un-] worthy.

The righteous judgment of the Living God which is turning the waters into blood, killing off all fresh and salt water life, and giving the followers of the wild beast blood to drink, is a proper sentence because the satan killed the saints and the prophets. Therefore the followers of the wild beast and those left who were in Babylon are rewarded with blood to drink.

Revelation 16:7  And I heard another out of the altar say, Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are thy judgments.

Revelation 16: 7 G2532 And G191 I heard G1537 from G3588 the G2379 altar, G3004 saying, G3483 Yes, G2962 O lord G3588   G2316 God G3588 the G3841 almighty, G228 true G2532 and G1342 just G3588 are your judgments. G2920   G1473

Voices from the temple call out ‘Yes, Kurios Theos Pantokratōr/Yahweh Elohim Shaddi, truthful and well ordered, veracious and civilized, are your divine laws or tribunals’. Understand, this is not simply international war crimes, this is universal, throughout this age. The governor of this age committed heinous war crimes against all of humanity. All humans are affected, especially the saints and prophets, those who became less drunk with the wine of Babylon and preached a way to sobriety leading to the Living God. Now the sun will scorch men.

Revelation 16:8  And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire.

Revelation 16:8 G2532 And G3588 the G5067 fourth G32 angel G1632 poured out G3588   G5357 his bowl G1473   G1909 upon G3588 the G2246 sun, G2532 and G1325 was given G1473 to him G2739 to scorch G3588 the G444 men G1722 by G4442 fire.

2) to be tortured with intense heat

καυματίζω
kaumatizō kow-mat-id'-zo From G2738; to burn KJV Usage: scorch.

Something will happen to the sun that will produce extra heat. That could mean that the earth’s magnetosphere, ionosphere, and ozone are all taken away or compromised, just like an inoperable deflector shield on the USS Enterprise of Star Trek lore. If our earth’s shields are down, even temporarily, everything will be scorched on the earth.

Revelation 16:9  And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory.

Revelation 16:9 G2532 And G2739 [3were scorched G3588 1the G444 2men G2738 5sweltering heat G3173 4with a great], G2532 and G987 [3blasphemed G3588 1the G444 2men] G3588 the G3686 name G3588   G2316 of God, G3588 of the one G2192 having G3588 the G1849 authority G1909 over G3588   G4127 these calamities; G3778   G2532 and G3756 they repented not G3340   G1325 to give G1473 to him G1391 glory.

Dodson:καῦμα burning heat, heat.
Thayer:
1) heat

μετανοέω
metanoeō met-an-o-eh'-o From G3326 and G3539; to think differently or afterwards, that is, reconsider (morally to feel compunction) KJV Usage: repent.

Men are scorched by the sun. Not only is the air temperature hot, but their skin gets burnt, so they curse the name of the Living God who has the power over these afflictions. This seems illogical. If one is higher than the “god” they worship (the wild beast), why would men curse the one who has more power? Why not look to that one to see if that God would be a better choice to give allegiance to? There is very little rational in a drunk humans’ mind.  Instead, men do not repent, they dig their heels in. How can they win against a God who is more powerful and who brings these calamities on them? This is part of the refinement. The dross will eventually be disposed of. Next, everything goes dark.

Revelation 16:10  And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain,

Revelation 16:10 G2532 And G3588 the G3991 fifth G32 angel G1632 poured out G3588   G5357 his bowl G1473   G1909 upon G3588 the G2362 throne G3588 of the G2342 beast, G2532 and G1096 [2became G3588   G932 1his kingdom] G1473   G4656 enveloped in darkness; G2532 and G3145 they gnawed G3588   G1100 their tongues G1473   G1537 because of G3588 the G4192 misery;

4192 LSJ Gloss:πόνος work
Dodson:πόνος labor, pain (a) labor, toil, (b) pain, anguish, distress, suffering.
Thayer:
1) great trouble, intense desire
2) pain
For Synonyms see entry G5860

πόνος
ponos pon'-os From the base of G3993; toil, that is, (by implication) anguish KJV Usage: pain.

Very specifically this fifth angel pours out this bowl upon the throne of the will beast and his entire kingdom goes dark. Remember the mapped area of the wild beast we discussed a few weeks ago? This is where his kingdom goes dark. The whole earth does not go dark, just his kingdom. If at the mid-point of the tribulation there were 2.5 billion people on the earth and the wild beast starts his kingdom with 1.3 billion people, he has to either enlist or kill off quite a few people producing enough blood to reach 182 miles long and as deep as a horses’ mouth, including 9 million Jews. As we noted a few weeks ago, if 1 billion people are killed, the blood volume would fill Lake Powell. The wild beasts’ kingdom is still territorial, there are pockets of people who will survive the tribulation (as Jesus told us) and not take the mark or worship the image of the beast. The places where the wild beast has kings reigning for him are the places that will go dark.

People are in such pain that chewing on their own tongues makes them feel better. Why? Due to extreme thirst, they only have blood water to drink, they were scorched by the sun and now they are in darkness. They are dehydrated and in considerable anguish.

Revelation 16:11  And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds.

Revelation 16:11 G2532 and G987 they blasphemed G3588 the G2316 God G3588   G3772 of heaven G1537 because of G3588   G4192 their miseries, G1473   G2532 and G1537 because of G3588   G1668 their sores, G1473   G2532 and G3756 they repented not G3340   G1537 of G3588   G2041 their works. G1473

With all of their misery, they do not repent of their works/their deeds. Think about what deeds they are doing. They are killing those who refuse to make an allegiance with the wild beast. They are eating and not feeding the poor, the widows, or the orphans. They are ravishing the Jews, raping them house to house. They are hoarding food and supplies for the followers of the beast. They are using the mark of the double sword as a manipulation tool. They are taking over all trade and commerce, all social media, all governments, and all religions and places of worship. They are following the satan, all the while recognizing the satan is not all powerful. Now the sixth angel pours out the bowl on a river for another reason.

Revelation 16:12  And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.

Revelation 16:12 G2532 And G3588 the G1622 sixth G32 angel G1632 poured out G3588   G5357 his bowl G1473   G1909 upon G3588 the G4215 [2river G3588   G3173 1great] G3588   G* Euphrates, G2532 and G3583 [2was dried up G3588   G5204 1its water], G1473   G2443 that G2090 [5should be prepared G3588 1the G3598 2way G3588 3of the G935 4kings], G3588 the ones G575 from G395 the risings G2246 of the sun.

anatolē an-at-ol-ay' From G393; a rising of light, that is, dawn (figuratively); by implication the east (also in plural) KJV Usage: dayspring, east, rising.

John is going to give us a “fast forward” look at the the events that happen just before the Day of the Lord. At this sixth bowl judgment the Euphrates River dries up to make a highway for the kings of the east. If we look at this on a map and remember our recent studies, we see that Babylon’s seven hills are now under the wild beast’s control, and her 10 kings are now under the wild beast’s authority. This means that the nations west of the Euphrates are under the control of the wild beast, and the nations to the east of the Euphrates are the mixed peoples that have just made an allegiance to the wild beast after the wild beast rose up to kill off Babylon. These eastern nations are going to cross the Euphrates to join with the wild beast to make war with the Lamb.

Revelation 16:13  And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.

John now sees the power behind the wild beast, the false prophet, and the dragon. Unclean spirits that look like frogs come out of their mouths. We know this ahead of time, in our day, so that people in the future should not be fooled by the signs they produce. These are daimōn, demons. The demons working through the wild beast, the false prophet, and the dragon, gather the people for the great battle.

Revelation 16:14  For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

The demons influence the kings to convene the entire habitable world for the war of that mega-day of Theos Pantokratōr/Elohim Shaddi. As we know, we have to look at what the Bible does not say. Obviously, there is a habitable part of the world and an uninhabitable part of the world. This is new. The entire world was in chaos, but now at this time there is part of the world that people are not able to live in. If we look at the places the Bible is telling us regarding this last battle, it is safe to recognize that most continents that are not in the middle east have become uninhabitable. There are maybe 1.5 billion people on the earth as the beast killed off those in Babylon who did not submit to him.

Where are people living that is habitable? Israel. There are still 4 million Jews on the earth, and they have been turning to Yahweh. They were told to come out of Babylon. Their time on earth is not easy, but they are able to be sustained without taking the double sword mark or worshipping the image of the wild beast. John’s next sentence is a parenthetical phrase. It seems rather out of place at first glance, but we can see why John didn’t explain it any further.

Revelation 16:15  Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.

Revelation 16:15 G2400 Behold, G2064 I come G5613 as G2812 a thief. ἀσχημοσύνη
aschēmosunē as-kay-mos-oo'-nay From G809; an indecency; by implication the pudenda KJV Usage: shame, that which is unseemly.

It seems that there will be people who are naked at the time the Lord shows up. It may be that these who have gathered for the wild beast are undressed for a reason. What things do people do when they take their clothes off? People usually undress to bathe. But people probably aren’t bathing due to all the water, salt and fresh, that has turned to blood. Sometimes people undress when they sleep. But if we think about what is happening on the earth, the people are on the move. They are heading to a habitable location, so they probably are not sleeping without clothes, as if in their own homes.

Is it possible there are some people raping and ravishing the others in the region? Zechariah tells us that will happen, as we noted last week. Is it possible that the Lord comes at a time when they are truly not expecting and they are naked? As we noted, there are about 4 million Jews left on the earth. The Lord comes on the Day of the Lord like a thief, he is going to surprise people, so it is quite possible that these people thought they had time to commit rape in Jerusalem, but then they end up running out among others to see what is happening, naked. They may not have their clothes for their meeting with the Lord when he comes with his saints on the Day of the Lord. It is nice that Jesus is giving them a warning. In other words, for the followers of the wild beast, don’t rape people, or everyone will see your shame.

Revelation 16:16  And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.

Revelation 16:16 G2532 And G4863 he gathered them together G1473   G1519 to G3588 the G5117 place G3588   G2564 being called G* in Hebrew, G* Armageddon.

John continues his “flash forward”. He is taking us up to the time when the wild beast will gather the kings to war with the Lamb and the saints. The Euphrates is dry so that the kings from the east can cross and come to a location called Megiddo. John leads us up to just before the point of the Day of the Lord.

Revelation 17:14 (AMP)
14  They will wage war against the Lamb, and the Lamb will triumph over them; for He is Lord of lords and King of kings—and those with Him and on His side are chosen and called [elected] and loyal and faithful followers.

In chapter 17 we have another “fast forward” parenthetical phrase. John is writing almost apologetically so that he is telling us there is hope and victory in the end. In timeline form we see Revelation 19 taking place.

Revelation 19:19 (AMP)
19  Then I saw the beast and the rulers and leaders of the earth with their troops mustered to go into battle and make war against Him Who is mounted on the horse and against His troops.

We know what is going to happen, and just before the battle at Megiddo the seventh angel pours out his bowl. The question we want to consider is how does he gather people at Megiddo? It seems that most of the world has become/will become uninhabitable. There certainly will be pockets of people living in various places, but technically they will be living in an uninhabitable region. The area of Megiddo is an open plain. As people move to look for habitable land to live, the approximate 1 billion people left on earth will move to the only suitable region left, which is in Israel. Watch what happens at the seventh bowl.

Revelation 16:17  And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done.

Revelation 16:17 G2532 And G3588 the G1442 seventh G32 angel G1632 poured out G3588   G5357 his bowl G1473   G1519 into G3588 the G109 air; G2532 and G1831 came forth G5456 [2voice G3173 1a great] G575 from G3588 the G3485 temple G3588 of the G3772 heaven, G575 from G3588 the G2362 throne, G3004 saying, G1096 It has taken place.

Dodson:ἀήρair air, the lower air we breathe.
Thayer:
1) the air, particularly the lower and denser air as distinguished from the higher and rarer air
2) the atmospheric region

ἀήρ
aēr ah-ayr' From ἄημι aēmi (to breathe unconsciously, that is, respire; by analogy to blow); “air” (as naturally circumambient) KJV Usage: air.

The mega-voice from the temple says it is birthed, it is finished, or it is come into being. The temple is still open but no one can enter because of the smoke. The lower air is earth’s atmosphere. Who is the ruler of the exousia of the lower air, Ephesians 2:2? At the harpazo aren’t we going to meet the Lord in the lower air, 1 Thessalonians 4:17? This seventh bowl is poured out in the lower air. It is the final judgment before the Day of the Lord.

Revelation 16:18  And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.

Revelation 16:18 G2532 And G1096 there were G796 lightnings, G2532 and G1027 thunders, G2532 and G5456 sounds; G2532 and G4578 [2earthquake G1096 3took place G3173 1a great], G3634 such as G3756 has not G1096 taken place G575 from G3739 which time G3588 the G444 men G1096 were G1909 upon G3588 the G1093 earth, G5082 with such an G4578 earthquake G3779 so G3173 great.

This is a mega seismos, the biggest, most violent earthquake since the adam was created and put on the earth. This is the largest most powerful earthquake in six thousand years. It is accompanied by lightning, thunder and noise, as well as hail.

Revelation 16:19  And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.
20  And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.

Revelation 16:19 G2532 And G1096 [4became G3588 1the G4172 3city G3588   G3173 2great] G1519 into G5140 three G3313 parts, G2532 and G3588 the G4172 cities G3588 of the G1484 nations G4098 fell; G2532 and G* Babylon G3588 the G3173 great G3403 was remembered G1799 before G3588   G2316 God, G1325 to give G1473 to her G3588 the G4221 cup G3588 of the G3631 wine G3588 of the G2372 rage G3588   G3709 of his wrath. G1473
 20 G2532 And G3956 every G3520 island G5343 fled, G2532 and G3735 no mountains G3756   G2147 were found.

Keep in mind, Babylon is the root of the abominations of the world, and the foundation that brings forth the one world government of the wild beast. The satan has not really destroyed her, he is simply changing her form. At this point in time, the rage of the anger of the Most High is being poured out on her former nations, and the mountains are leveled and the islands vanish. Think about that, the islands disappear like Atlantis, and the mountains are flat. All of a sudden no one can tell via the landscape where they are. All the people left alive must leave to find a habitable place.

The system of Babylon was fallen before the bowls were poured out, now we see the great city, Babylon, divided into three parts. This time when we speak of Babylon we are in fact speaking of the city. It is divided by the earthquake. The region is known for deadly earthquakes already due to the Eurasian and Arabian tectonic plates. Sometimes the plates do a “slip and slide” motion. These are called strike-slip earthquakes which send waves of motion at the surface. Interestingly, there is another strike-slip fault running under Israel and Jordan, the Africa and Arabia plates, called the “Dead Sea Transform”. If we look at a map of these tectonic plates, we see the region split up into three parts. The world has moved from many nations to a one world nation. It might be that after killing those who do not follow the wild beast, the wild beast will establish a headquarters in Babylon. Babylon used to be under Shia control.

In order to push all the people east across the Euphrates towards Megiddo, something has to happen to the people and land of the mid-east. The cities of the nations all fall. The mid-east also has to become uninhabitable. This pushes the mid-east population west toward Israel. Since the cities and Babylon are in ruins, the region of Israel looks like a desirable location. Today, Israel has about 8.5 million people living within it’s borders. It would be a tight squeeze until the mega-earthquake eliminates some of the population. Although if we remember, Israel has increased her boarders at the beginning of the tribulation. Then there is another aspect to the seventh bowl, mega-hail.

Revelation 16:21  And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.

Revelation 16:21 G2532 And G5464 [2hail G3173 1great] G5613 as G5006 a talent weight G2597 descends G1537 out of G3588 the G3772 heaven G1909 upon G3588 the G444 men. G2532 And G987 [3blasphemed G3588 1the G444 2men] G3588   G2316 God G1537 because of G3588 the G4127 calamity G3588 of the G5464 hail, G3754 for G3173 [4great G1510.2.3 2is G3588   G4127 1its calamity G1473   G4970 3exceedingly].

1) a weight or worth of a talent
1a) a talent of silver weighed about
100 pounds (45 kg)
1b) a talent of gold,
200 pounds (91 kg)

ταλαντιαῖος
talantiaios tal-an-tee-ah'-yos From G5007; talent like in weight KJV Usage: weight of a talent.

The hail is a vehemently mega-wound. It means many people get killed. A one to two hundred pound hail stone will kill people. We haven’t even gotten to the Day of the Lord yet and lots of the wild beasts’ people are wounded or dead. From this calamity, men blaspheme God. Now we can see, just as Nimrod used the circumstances of the flood as a fear motivating tactic to rally the people to build a tower, the wild beast will use the earthquake and hail as a tool to rally the people to fight the Lamb. If we stop and think, the land of Israel seems to be habitable. It still has mountains and 4 million Jews living there. It is no wonder why the wild beast goes to Megiddo in Israel to war with the Lamb, the Jews are not suffering like the wild beast’s kingdom. The wild beast’s kingdom is slowly disintegrating. Humans are convinced that they have to fight the Lamb who is sustaining Israel. This one world government is running out of land and time.

After seeing this, John gets some more information regarding Babylon from an angel. Therefore we will be looking at Babylon again. The Book of Revelation talks of Babylon a lot because it is the system that poisoned all of us from about four thousand two hundred and sixty one years ago up through the very end of the age.
