Jesus’ Message; Jesus Foretells; Redeemed and Sinless; Rewards Not Punishments

People from all walks of life are looking for answers. We may have answers  regarding the gospel, but may have a hard time communicating to others. Sometimes we get wrapped up in religious doctrines, but if we scale back all the fluff we are left with a simple gospel message. Many people will benefit from the simplicity of the salvation message but who we may never see come to our churches. The basics are that if anyone believes that Jesus died and rose up on the third day, that one is saved. That one is cleansed from sin. That one is made righteous. That one is redeemed. This is how simple the gospel is. The gospel is not about being sin conscious, that is the old covenant. The gospel is not about forcing people to behave a certain way, it is about love and freedom from sin. It is not achieved by works, or working, is is achieved by believing that Jesus died and rose up on the third day. It is a message of hope and a message of heaven, allowing each person to make the decision for themselves as to whether they would like eternal life or not.

We will look at a simplistic timeline regarding our belief in Jesus, so we can put ourselves and our age into perspective.  We will start with what Jesus said, did, and fulfilled, as well as what is to come. Once we understand a linear perspective, we can take all the ideas and put them into place. Jesus told his disciples many things that they did not understand. He told them that he would suffer and die, and then rise up.

Mathew 16:21 From that time forth Jesus began [clearly] to show His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things at the hands of the elders and the high priests and scribes, and be killed, and on the third day be raised from death.

The Amplified Bible. (1987). (Mt 16:21). La Habra, CA: The Lockman Foundation.

Jesus told his disciples what was going to happen. They were normal working people, not “upper crust”, or religious scholars. All the prophecies of the past to this point spoke of a Savior or a Messiah. Yet the religious leaders thought that the prophecies were broken or had not come to pass. His birth was prophesied, as well as his earthly ministry. Many years later people changed the dates in the historical text of the Bible to try and justify a different Messiah, other than Jesus. If people are willing to change the years of history to erase Jesus, what Jesus did must have been undeniable. Jesus came like an ordinary person, not flashy or privileged. He studied with ultra-religious scholars in his younger years and was ready for ministry at thirty years of age.

Matthew 17:22 When they were going about here and there in Galilee, Jesus said to them, The Son of Man is going to be turned over into the hands of men.

23 And they will kill Him, and He will be raised [to life] again on the third day. And they were deeply and exceedingly grieved and distressed.

The Amplified Bible. (1987). (Mt 17:22–23). La Habra, CA: The Lockman Foundation.

Jesus tells them again. It seems that they needed to hear this a few times, not because they forgot what he already said, but to help them understand that it was going to be a reality. Jesus healed many people of their sicknesses and this was an undeniable fact at the time. Religious leaders never healed anyone. One prophecy states that the Messiah would open blind eyes. Jesus healed at least ten blind people. No one else has ever fulfilled that prophecy.

Matthew 20:17 And as Jesus was going up to Jerusalem, He took the twelve disciples aside along the way and said to them,

18 Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be handed over to the chief priests and scribes; and they will sentence Him to death

19 And deliver Him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and whipped and crucified, and He will be raised [to life] on the third day.

The Amplified Bible. (1987). (Mt 20:17–19). La Habra, CA: The Lockman Foundation.

Now as the time is near Jesus reminds the disciples again. Imagine if we knew the day and method of our death. Jesus didn’t seem shaken or upset. Jesus explains that he will leave but that the Holy Spirit will come to earth.

John 14:16 And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby), that He may remain with you forever—

17 The Spirit of Truth, Whom the world cannot receive (welcome, take to its heart), because it does not see Him or know and recognize Him. But you know and recognize Him, for He lives with you [constantly] and will be in you.

18 I will not leave you as orphans [comfortless, desolate, bereaved, forlorn, helpless]; I will come [back] to you.

The Amplified Bible. (1987). (Jn 14:16–18). La Habra, CA: The Lockman Foundation.

The Holy Spirit is a comforter, a helper, and the Spirit of Truth. Jesus is encouraging the disciples that they/we will not be left alone.

John 14:26 But the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will cause you to recall (will remind you of, bring to your remembrance) everything I have told you.

The Amplified Bible. (1987). (Jn 14:26). La Habra, CA: The Lockman Foundation.

They Holy Spirit will become our teacher. Jesus is preparing these disciples for the future. The disciples had to be able to look back on what he said to really understand what was about to happen. Generally speaking prophecy is something foretold, but not understood in full, until it occurs.

John 14:29 And now I have told you [this] before it occurs, so that when it does take place you may believe and have faith in and rely on Me.

30 I will not talk with you much more, for the prince (evil genius, ruler) of the world is coming. And he has no claim on Me. [He has nothing in common with Me; there is nothing in Me that belongs to him, and he has no power over Me.]

31 But [Satan is coming and] I do as the Father has commanded Me, so that the world may know (be convinced) that I love the Father and that I do only what the Father has instructed Me to do. [I act in full agreement with His orders.] Rise, let us go away from here.

The Amplified Bible. (1987). (Jn 14:29–31). La Habra, CA: The Lockman Foundation.

Jesus explains that the prince or ruler of this world, Satanas, is against him, but Satanas does not have an accusation against Jesus. In other words Jesus did nothing to be accused of, he is sinless. Jesus it explaining this so that the disciples will trust him when he is crucified.

John 15:12 This is My commandment: that you love one another [just] as I have loved you.

13 No one has greater love [no one has shown stronger affection] than to lay down (give up) his own life for his friends.

14 You are My friends if you keep on doing the things which I command you to do.

The Amplified Bible. (1987). (Jn 15:12–14). La Habra, CA: The Lockman Foundation.

Jesus tells his disciples to love one another. Love is the foundation of the gospel message. Because Jesus died for us, we can be free from sin and live forever. We can’t do anything on our own. We needed Jesus to do it for us. Because Jesus is sin free he could be a perfect sacrifice for our sins.

John 15:25 But [this is so] that the word written in their Law might be fulfilled, They hated Me without a cause. [Ps. 35:19; 69:4.]

26 But when the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Advocate, Intercessor, Strengthener, Standby) comes, Whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of Truth Who comes (proceeds) from the Father, He [Himself] will testify regarding Me.

27 But you also will testify and be My witnesses, because you have been with Me from the beginning.

The Amplified Bible. (1987). (Jn 15:25–27). La Habra, CA: The Lockman Foundation.

Again Jesus says that he is sending the Holy Spirit who will testify of Jesus. In fact, if Jesus does not go away the Holy Spirit will not come. As a side note, the apostle Paul tells us that if Satanas had known what Jesus would accomplish in his death then he would not have crucified him.

John 15:7 However, I am telling you nothing but the truth when I say it is profitable (good, expedient, advantageous) for you that I go away. Because if I do not go away, the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Advocate, Intercessor, Strengthener, Standby) will not come to you [into close fellowship with you]; but if I go away, I will send Him to you [to be in close fellowship with you].

8 And when He comes, He will convict and convince the world and bring demonstration to it about sin and about righteousness (uprightness of heart and right standing with God) and about judgment:

9 About sin, because they do not believe in Me [trust in, rely on, and adhere to Me];

10 About righteousness (uprightness of heart and right standing with God), because I go to My Father, and you will see Me no longer;

11 About judgment, because the ruler (evil genius, prince) of this world [Satan] is judged and condemned and sentence already is passed upon him.

The Amplified Bible. (1987). (Jn 16:7–11). La Habra, CA: The Lockman Foundation.

Jesus died and Satanas is judged and condemned. Satanas’ sentence is already passed. The judgment against Satanas is due to murdering a sinless man. Luke then helps us understand what happened after Jesus was crucified. Jesus did, in fact, rise up on the third day.

Acts 1:IN THE former account [which I prepared], O Theophilus, I made [a continuous report] dealing with all the things which Jesus began to do and to teach [Luke 1:1-4.]

2 Until the day when He ascended, after He through the Holy Spirit had instructed and commanded the apostles (special messengers) whom He had chosen.

3 To them also He showed Himself alive after His passion (His suffering in the garden and on the cross) by [a series of] many convincing demonstrations [unquestionable evidences and infallible proofs], appearing to them during forty days and talking [to them] about the things of the kingdom of God.

4 And while being in their company and eating with them, He commanded them not to leave Jerusalem but to wait for what the Father had promised, Of which [He said] you have heard Me speak. [John 14:16, 26; 15:26.]

5 For John baptized with water, but not many days from now you shall be baptized with (placed in, introduced into) the Holy Spirit.

6 So when they were assembled, they asked Him, Lord, is this the time when You will reestablish the kingdom and restore it to Israel?

7 He said to them, It is not for you to become acquainted with and know what time brings [the things and events of time and their definite periods] or fixed years and seasons (their critical niche in time), which the Father has appointed (fixed and reserved) by His own choice and authority and personal power.

8 But you shall receive power (ability, efficiency, and might) when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be My witnesses in Jerusalem and all Judea and Samaria and to the ends (the very bounds) of the earth.

9 And when He had said this, even as they were looking [at Him], He was caught up, and a cloud received and carried Him away out of their sight.

The Amplified Bible. (1987). (Ac 1:1–9). La Habra, CA: The Lockman Foundation.

Jesus was seen by many thousands of people. He told his disciples to wait in Jerusalem for the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit came on a holy day (the feast of weeks) and many disciples were filled with the Holy Spirit. Everything Jesus said came to pass. He suffered, he died, he rose up on the third day, and he sent the Holy Spirit fifty days after Jesus was resurrected.

Nearly sixty years later (around 90 C.E.) John wrote to us about what Jesus told him at that time.

Revelation 1:5 And from Jesus Christ the faithful and trustworthy Witness, the Firstborn of the dead [first to be brought back to life] and the Prince (Ruler) of the kings of the earth. To Him Who ever loves us and has once [for all] loosed and freed us from our sins by His own blood, [Ps. 89:27.]

6 And formed us into a kingdom (a royal race), priests to His God and Father—to Him be the glory and the power and the majesty and the dominion throughout the ages and forever and ever. Amen (so be it). [Exod. 19:6; Isa. 61:6.]

7 Behold, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him; and all the tribes of the earth shall gaze upon Him and beat their breasts and mourn and lament over Him. Even so [must it be]. Amen (so be it). [Dan. 7:13; Zech. 12:10.]

8 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, says the Lord God, He Who is and Who was and Who is to come, the Almighty (the Ruler of all). [Isa. 9:6.]

The Amplified Bible. (1987). (Re 1:5–8). La Habra, CA: The Lockman Foundation.

John says that Jesus freed us from our sins by his blood, and he formed us into a kingdom of priests. John then says that Jesus is coming in the clouds and that every eye will see him. Then Jesus says that he is the “A” and the “Z”, the beginning and end. John saw Jesus.

Revelation 1:17 When I saw Him, I fell at His feet as if dead. But He laid His right hand on me and said, Do not be afraid! I am the First and the Last, [Isa. 44:6.]

18 And the Ever-living One [I am living in the eternity of the eternities]. I died, but see, I am alive forevermore; and I possess the keys of death and Hades (the realm of the dead).

The Amplified Bible. (1987). (Re 1:17–18). La Habra, CA: The Lockman Foundation.

Jesus has the keys to death and Hades. We realize that Jesus is the only one with the keys. Jesus took back the keys to death and Hades when he was dead three days and three nights. This means that for every individual who dies, they must go through Jesus. No one can change their own destiny as to where they will go after their last earthly breath. Each person must choose before they die.

There was a man named Saul or later called Paul who was a Pharisee who did not believe on Jesus. He persecuted and threw people in prison who believed on Jesus. However Jesus spoke to Paul, blinded him, and told him where to go. Paul, being blind, obeyed; and three days later Jesus sent a disciple to heal Paul’s blindness. Due to that experience, Paul became a disciple himself. Paul’s perspective as a Pharisee was unique because he was well educated. Paul then spent fourteen more years re-learning about the Messiah, Jesus. Paul then gives us several letters which he wrote to some of the churches he started in Asia Minor. Paul explains how we are saved, by believing on Jesus Christ.

Romans 10:9 Because if you acknowledge and confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and in your heart believe (adhere to, trust in, and rely on the truth) that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

10 For with the heart a person believes (adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Christ) and so is justified (declared righteous, acceptable to God), and with the mouth he confesses (declares openly and speaks out freely his faith) and confirms [his] salvation.

11 The Scripture says, No man who believes in Him [who adheres to, relies on, and trusts in Him] will [ever] be put to shame or be disappointed. [Ps. 34:22; Isa. 28:16; 49:23; Jer. 17:7.]

12 [No one] for there is no distinction between Jew and Greek. The same Lord is Lord over all [of us] and He generously bestows His riches upon all who call upon Him [in faith].

13 For everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord [invoking Him as Lord] will be saved. [Joel 2:32.]

The Amplified Bible. (1987). (Ro 10:9–13). La Habra, CA: The Lockman Foundation.

The simplicity of salvation is not by our own works or by our own goodness. Everyone who calls on the name of Jesus Christ will be saved. No one has to have a theological degree to read and understand this. No one can possibly work to achieve it. Salvation is for anyone who desires it.

John 3:16 For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life.

17 For God did not send the Son into the world in order to judge (to reject, to condemn, to pass sentence on) the world, but that the world might find salvation and be made safe and sound through Him.

18 He who believes in Him [who clings to, trusts in, relies on Him] is not judged [he who trusts in Him never comes up for judgment; for him there is no rejection, no condemnation—he incurs no damnation]; but he who does not believe (cleave to, rely on, trust in Him) is judged already [he has already been convicted and has already received his sentence] because he has not believed in and trusted in the name of the only begotten Son of God. [He is condemned for refusing to let his trust rest in Christ’s name.]

The Amplified Bible. (1987). (Jn 3:16–18). La Habra, CA: The Lockman Foundation.

There is no judgment and no rejection for those who believe that Jesus died and rose up. There is no hell for the believer in Jesus Christ. There is no punishment for the believer in Jesus Christ. The believer has freedom in Christ. The believer looks forward to the kingdom of heaven. The believer has eternal life.

Paul writes a letter to the Corinthian Church.

1 Corinthians 15:3 For I passed on to you first of all what I also had received, that Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One) died for our sins in accordance with [what] the Scriptures [foretold], [Isa. 53:5-12.]

4 That He was buried, that He arose on the third day as the Scriptures foretold, [Ps. 16:9, 10.]

5 And [also] that He appeared to Cephas (Peter), then to the Twelve.

6 Then later He showed Himself to more than five hundred brethren at one time, the majority of whom are still alive, but some have fallen asleep [in death].

7 Afterward He was seen by James, then by all the apostles (the special messengers),

8 And last of all He appeared to me also, as to one prematurely and born dead [no better than an unperfected fetus among living men].

The Amplified Bible. (1987). (1 Co 15:3–8). La Habra, CA: The Lockman Foundation.

We are all in this time period where Jesus told the disciples that he would be leaving but that he would be coming back. These are some of the things we should know.

1 Corinthians 12:13 For by [means of the personal agency of] one [Holy] Spirit we were all, whether Jews or Greeks, slaves or free, baptized [and by baptism united together] into one body, and all made to drink of one [Holy] Spirit.

The Amplified Bible. (1987). (1 Co 12:13). La Habra, CA: The Lockman Foundation.

We are all one in Christ. There is no distinction between people, their tribes, or their governments. It does not matter what color or gender we are, we who believe on Jesus as Lord and believe that he rose up on the third day are all one body.

Galatians 2:16 Yet we know that a man is justified or reckoned righteous and in right standing with God not by works of the Law, but [only] through faith and [absolute] reliance on and adherence to and trust in Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One). [Therefore] even we [ourselves] have believed on Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the Law [for we cannot be justified by any observance of the ritual of the Law given by Moses], because by keeping legal rituals and by works no human being can ever be justified (declared righteous and put in right standing with God). [Ps. 143:2.]

The Amplified Bible. (1987). (Ga 2:16). La Habra, CA: The Lockman Foundation.

We are justified and made righteous because we believe on Jesus. This is faith. Our faith is a trust that Jesus is the Messiah and that he did what he said he would do. Jesus is also going to do what he said he is going to do in the future. If he said and did the first part (dying and rising up on the third day, and sending the Holy Spirit), then he will certainly do the rest. Meanwhile we are not made just or righteous by laws or religious rituals, or by doing anything other than having faith.

Galatians 3:6 Thus Abraham believed in and adhered to and trusted in and relied on God, and it was reckoned and placed to his account and credited as righteousness (as conformity to the divine will in purpose, thought, and action). [Gen. 15:6.]

7 Know and understand that it is [really] the people [who live] by faith who are [the true] sons of Abraham.

The people of faith are blessed and happy just like Abraham. Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob lived before the law was given. They lived by faith just as we live by faith. Those who want to live under the laws that Moses gave are devoted to destruction and doomed to eternal punishment because they don’t believe that Jesus died and rose up on the third day. Clearly no one wants to be doomed, as opposed to being blessed.

Galatians 3:13 Christ purchased our freedom [redeeming us] from the curse (doom) of the Law [and its condemnation] by [Himself] becoming a curse for us, for it is written [in the Scriptures], Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree (is crucified); [Deut. 21:23.]

14 To the end that through [their receiving] Christ Jesus, the blessing [promised] to Abraham might come upon the Gentiles, so that we through faith might [all] receive [the realization of] the promise of the [Holy] Spirit.

The Amplified Bible. (1987). (Ga 3:5–14). La Habra, CA: The Lockman Foundation.

The Law did not bring anyone into right standing with God, but Christ purchased our freedom. There is no person that is “too far gone” to be saved. There is no sin that is too big to prevent our salvation. Salvation is a choice. No one is automatically saved, but salvation is our own choice through Jesus.

Galatians 3:19 What then was the purpose of the Law? It was added [later on, after the promise, to disclose and expose to men their guilt] because of transgressions and [to make men more conscious of the sinfulness] of sin; and it was intended to be in effect until the Seed (the Descendant, the Heir) should come, to and concerning Whom the promise had been made. And it [the Law] was arranged and ordained and appointed through the instrumentality of angels [and was given] by the hand (in the person) of a go-between [Moses, an intermediary person between God and man].

The Amplified Bible. (1987). (Ga 3:18–19). La Habra, CA: The Lockman Foundation.

The law exposed men to guilt and shame but gave them a way to make sacrifices in order to cleanse themselves from their sin. But this process was only until the Messiah would come. Moses gave people the laws, which were religious, societal, and governmental, until Jesus came. Now that Jesus has come, the law is void. We have redemption and remission of sins.

Ephesians 1:7 In Him we have redemption (deliverance and salvation) through His blood, the remission (forgiveness) of our offenses (shortcomings and trespasses), in accordance with the riches and the generosity of His gracious favor,

The Amplified Bible. (1987). (Eph 1:7). La Habra, CA: The Lockman Foundation.

Redemption is like going to the grocery store and having a rain check for something that the store is sold out of. We walk in with our rain check and ask to redeem the products. Similar to coupons, Jesus has our name on his redemption list. When Jesus comes for us he will call our name on the day of redemption.

Ephesians 4:30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God [do not offend or vex or sadden Him], by Whom you were sealed (marked, branded as God’s own, secured) for the day of redemption (of final deliverance through Christ from evil and the consequences of sin).

The Amplified Bible. (1987). (Eph 4:30). La Habra, CA: The Lockman Foundation.

There is a day when we are to be redeemed. It will come before the tribulation. We are rescued from the wrath that comes in the tribulation. It doesn’t matter what others say, the redeemed are saved and spared from the end times of great distress on the world.

1 Thessalonians 1:10 And [how you] look forward to and await the coming of His Son from heaven, Whom He raised from the dead—Jesus, Who personally rescues and delivers us out of and from the wrath [bringing punishment] which is coming [upon the impenitent] and draws us to Himself [investing us with all the privileges and rewards of the new life in Christ, the Messiah].

The Amplified Bible. (1987). (1 Th 1:10). La Habra, CA: The Lockman Foundation.

So then, if we are alive when the day of redemption occurs then we are called to meet Jesus in the air. Remember, John said that Jesus would come in the clouds.

1 Thessalonians 4:15 For this we declare to you by the Lord’s [own] word, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord shall in no way precede [into His presence] or have any advantage at all over those who have previously fallen asleep [in Him in death].

16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a loud cry of summons, with the shout of an archangel, and with the blast of the trumpet of God. And those who have departed this life in Christ will rise first.

17 Then we, the living ones who remain [on the earth], shall simultaneously be caught up along with [the resurrected dead] in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air; and so always (through the eternity of the eternities) we shall be with the Lord!

18 Therefore comfort and encourage one another with these words.

The Amplified Bible. (1987). (1 Th 4:15–18). La Habra, CA: The Lockman Foundation.

If we happen to be dead at that time then we will rise up first. The living will also rise and join the dead to meet Jesus Christ in the air. This is simple for Jesus, as he already went into the grave for us, and has the keys to hell and death. When Jesus calls we rise.

1 Corinthians 15:50 But I tell you this, brethren, flesh and blood cannot [become partakers of eternal salvation and] inherit or share in the kingdom of God; nor does the perishable (that which is decaying) inherit or share in the imperishable (the immortal).

51 Take notice! I tell you a mystery (a secret truth, an event decreed by the hidden purpose or counsel of God). We shall not all fall asleep [in death], but we shall all be changed (transformed)

52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the [sound of the] last trumpet call. For a trumpet will sound, and the dead [in Christ] will be raised imperishable (free and immune from decay), and we shall be changed (transformed).

53 For this perishable [part of us] must put on the imperishable [nature], and this mortal [part of us, this nature that is capable of dying] must put on immortality (freedom from death).

54 And when this perishable puts on the imperishable and this that was capable of dying puts on freedom from death, then shall be fulfilled the Scripture that says, Death is swallowed up (utterly vanquished forever) in and unto victory. [Isa. 25:8.]

55 O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting? [Hos. 13:14.]

56 Now sin is the sting of death, and sin exercises its power [upon the soul] through [the abuse of] the Law.

57 But thanks be to God, Who gives us the victory [making us conquerors] through our Lord Jesus Christ.

58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be firm (steadfast), immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord [always being superior, excelling, doing more than enough in the service of the Lord], knowing and being continually aware that your labor in the Lord is not futile [it is never wasted or to no purpose].

The Amplified Bible. (1987). (1 Co 15:50–58). La Habra, CA: The Lockman Foundation.

As quick as the twinkling of an eye we will all rise up. There will be a trumpet sound and a shout from the angel of God. Then, if we were mortals, we will put on immortality, and if we were corrupted we will put on incorruptibility. We will not take our body the way our body is today, into heaven. We will be changed into a body free from death. This is the victory that Jesus has over death. This is encouraging. It is available to all those who choose to believe on Jesus Christ. Our victory over death was won by Jesus. But if we are dead when Jesus calls from the clouds then where will we be?

Revelation 2:7 He who is able to hear, let him listen to and give heed to what the Spirit says to the assemblies (churches). To him who overcomes (is victorious), I will grant to eat [of the fruit] of the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God. [Gen. 2:9; 3:24.]

The Amplified Bible. (1987). (Re 2:7). La Habra, CA: The Lockman Foundation.

We await Jesus in the paradise of God. The paradise that was created in the very beginning of the time of humanity. The place that Adam lived and guarded. We await Jesus from a garden known as paradise and Jesus meets us there. There is no purgatory, there is either death, Hades, or paradise. It is our own choice while we are alive.

Jesus told the disciples that he would die and rise up on the third day. His grave was empty and he was seen for forty days by many thousands of people in Israel. He then sent the Holy Spirit who dwells in the people who believe on Jesus as Lord. If Jesus did those things, he will do the rest.

We will be rewarded for the things we do. All our works are tried by fire.

1 Corinthians 3:11 For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is [already] laid, which is Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).

12 But if anyone builds upon the Foundation, whether it be with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw,

13 The work of each [one] will become [plainly, openly] known (shown for what it is); for the day [of Christ] will disclose and declare it, because it will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test and critically appraise the character and worth of the work each person has done.

14 If the work which any person has built on this Foundation [any product of his efforts whatever] survives [this test], he will get his reward.

15 But if any person’s work is burned up [under the test], he will suffer the loss [of it all, losing his reward], though he himself will be saved, but only as [one who has passed] through fire. [Job 23:10.]

The Amplified Bible. (1987). (1 Co 3:11–15). La Habra, CA: The Lockman Foundation.

What we do from the time that we believe onwards is what will be judged as to rewards, not punishments. There are no punishments for those who believe.

Colossians 3:23 Whatever may be your task, work at it heartily (from the soul), as [something done] for the Lord and not for men,

24 Knowing [with all certainty] that it is from the Lord [and not from men] that you will receive the inheritance which is your [real] reward. [The One Whom] you are actually serving [is] the Lord Christ (the Messiah).

We receive an inheritance. It is nice to receive an earthly inheritance, but it will be nicer to receive a heavenly inheritance.

Revelation 11:18 And the heathen (the nations) raged, but Your wrath (retribution, indignation) came, the time when the dead will be judged and Your servants the prophets and saints rewarded—and those who revere (fear) Your name, both low and high and small and great—and [the time] for destroying the corrupters of the earth. [Ps. 2:1.]

The Amplified Bible. (1987). (Re 11:18). La Habra, CA: The Lockman Foundation.

Both the dead and the living in Christ rise up before the tribulation. Midway through the tribulation the saints are rewarded. Notice that prophets, saints, and those who fear or reverence Jesus’ name are rewarded.

1 John 5:11 And this is that testimony (that evidence): God gave us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.

12 He who possesses the Son has that life; he who does not possess the Son of God does not have that life.

13 I write this to you who believe in (adhere to, trust in, and rely on) the name of the Son of God [in the peculiar services and blessings conferred by Him on men], so that you may know [with settled and absolute knowledge] that you [already] have life, yes, eternal life.

The Amplified Bible. (1987). (1 Jn 5:11–13). La Habra, CA: The Lockman Foundation.

We all need Jesus Christ and we all need to have the testimony or evidence of Jesus Christ. Again, Jesus told the disciples what would happen in his suffering, death, burial, resurrection, ascension, and the sending of the Holy Spirit, and it all came to pass. The testimony is that Jesus didn’t lie or make a mistake. He was sinless and Satanas could not hold Jesus in hell. Today Satanas cannot hold the believer in hell, the believer in Christ awaits Jesus’ meeting in paradise. The believer is on the way to eternal life, the non-believer is on the way to eternal death.

Once we say, out loud, Jesus is Lord, and we believe that he died and rose up on the third day, we are now sealed with the Holy Spirit, which is a down payment on our redemption. There is no ritual, no repetitive works, repetitive prayers, or pilgrimages, required.

Ephesians 1:12 So that we who first hoped in Christ [who first put our confidence in Him have been destined and appointed to] live for the praise of His glory!

13 In Him you also who have heard the Word of Truth, the glad tidings (Gospel) of your salvation, and have believed in and adhered to and relied on Him, were stamped with the seal of the long-promised Holy Spirit.

14 That [Spirit] is the guarantee of our inheritance [the firstfruits, the pledge and foretaste, the down payment on our heritage], in anticipation of its full redemption and our acquiring [complete] possession of it—to the praise of His glory.

The Amplified Bible. (1987). (Eph 1:12–14). La Habra, CA: The Lockman Foundation.

The Holy Spirit is a down payment, or a guarantee, that we have an inheritance when we are redeemed. Paul says to pray, and be thankful always.  Allow the Holy Spirit to move in gifts and prophecies, building one another up.

    1Thessalonians 5:17 Be unceasing in prayer [praying perseveringly];

18 Thank [God] in everything [no matter what the circumstances may be, be thankful and give thanks], for this is the will of God for you [who are] in Christ Jesus [the Revealer and Mediator of that will].

19 Do not quench (suppress or subdue) the [Holy] Spirit;

20 Do not spurn the gifts and utterances of the prophets [do not depreciate prophetic revelations nor despise inspired instruction or exhortation or warning].

The Amplified Bible. (1987). (1 Th 5:17–20). La Habra, CA: The Lockman Foundation.

This is the time for everyone to come to Jesus, to guarantee their own redemption and their own inheritance of eternal life. Prophets prophesied of the Messiah coming. Jesus fulfilled those prophecies with his first coming to earth. The next time that Jesus comes to earth he will be bringing an army to eradicate evil from the earth. But before that time the saints who believe that Jesus died and rose up on the third day will meet Jesus in the air and be rewarded (not punished) for the things that we have done on the earth. Jesus did everything he said he would do, he will certainly do the rest of what he said he would do.

This is just a jumping off point. There are many things to learn as we go forward. The best place to learn about our new life is from reading the New Testament or New Covenant, which comprises things that Jesus’ disciples recorded and instructions for the new churches. Do not listen to the doubters or the naysayers, simply trust the Son of the Most High God, Jesus Christ. If you talk to Him, he will talk to you. Pray this prayer out loud.

Jesus come into my heart, I know you are Lord and Savior, I believe you died and rose up on the third day. I want you to be my Lord. Forgive me for all things that I have done wrong. Thank you for washing me from my sins. Thank you for cleansing me by your shed blood so that I may have eternal life. Send the Holy Spirit into my heart so that I may learn more about you and more about the kingdom of heaven. Teach me your ways Lord Jesus. Help me to hear your voice. Amen.

Congratulations! You are now a member of the Body of Christ. The heavens rejoice over your decision. For further growth and study:

Eunuchs; Divorce; From the Womb; Laws for the Unjust

We are entering into a season where people feel exasperated by woke-ism and are looking for a standard. Truth is hard to find in the world among Satanas’ kingdom. The church at large holds a unique position in understanding, but somehow we close the doors on truth seekers from outside our bubble. We want people to get saved, don’t we? Jesus told us some things that we have not reconciled with reality, such as divorce and eunuchs. We have allowed the leadership in our churches to have affairs, do drugs, and even rape children, and then we have either hidden or buried the truth so that no one would know. We then allow those same leaders to be leaders again. We assume those people are restored to Christ, yet we then turn around to an average church member and point fingers. We live in a whirlpool of hypocrisy. Paul makes some distinctions between the just and lawful, and the unjust and unlawful, but we ignore the context and pick and choose what we want. Jesus did not come to condemn the world but to save the world, John 3:17. He did not micromanage everyone’s behaviors. But Jesus did give us some very important information to be aware of. He told us that some people may come from the womb different. If we pay attention to Jesus’ words we will have less infighting among our assemblies.

There was a time before the Bible was written in the common language of the people, that the average person was dependent on a church leader, a pastor, minister, priest, to tell them what the Bible said. Today we can all read and study for ourselves. We do not need to put a leader on a pedestal. Our religious leaders are not necessarily enlightened above and beyond everyone else. Our hypocrisy lies in allowing our pedestaled leaders to behave one way and then condemn the congregation at large for the same things. How is anyone going to get saved and Spirit filled if we won’t even let people in the door? Let’s let Jesus lead the way and explore His words.

Matthew 19:1G2532 And G1096 it came to pass G3753 when G5055 Jesus finished G3588   G*   G3588   G3056 these words, G3778   G3332 he moved G575 from G3588   G* Galilee, G2532 and G2064 he came G1519 unto G3588 the G3725 borders G3588   G* of Judea G4008 on the other side G3588 of the G* Jordan.

  2 G2532 And G190 [3followed G1473 4him G3793 2multitudes G4183 1great]; G2532 and G2323 he cured G1473 them G1563 there.

Jesus was healing people on the border of Judea. From Galilee, Jerusalem is about ninety miles, so depending on what part of the border they were on, Jesus had traveled nearly ninety miles with a great multitude of people following.

Matthew 19:3 G2532 And G4334 [3came forward G1473 4to him G3588 1the G* 2Pharisees] G3985 testing G1473 him, G2532 and G3004 saying G1473 to him, G1487 Is G1832 it allowed G444 to a man G630 to dismiss G3588   G1135 his wife G1473   G2596 for G3956 every G156 reason?

The Pharisees would not randomly test any individual on the street but Jesus was an Essene and the Pharisees disliked the holiness of the Essenes. Generally speaking the Pharisees became defiled overlords, as Jesus points out many times, and they perceived Jesus as a threat. This is why they tested him. If we remember, Jesus was never allowed into the inner courts of the temple, he taught the people in the outer courts. The Pharisees carried on the traditions of the pre-captivity levites with temple prostitutes, and yet Jesus knew all their sins without going any further than the outer courts.

They ask Jesus if it is lawful to release or send away one’s wife for any charges or accusations. They had gotten to the place where they set standards around divorce, as in, ‘it is acceptable under the circumstances we determine’. Jesus has a better answer.

We have done the same thing. We allow the re-separation of the whole manfaced to be divided again. Sometimes divorce is necessary, as in physical abuse. In society today divorce is a more prevalent thing as compared to the first century.

Matthew 19:4 G3588 And he G1161   G611 answering G2036 said G1473 to them, G3756 Did you not G314 read G3754 that G3588 the one G4160 making G575 from G746 the beginning, G730 [3male G2532 4and G2338 5female G4160 1made G1473 2them].

The adam was molded and the woman was constructed from the adam. Jesus asks them if they know this. They should have read this in the scrolls. If they were to say no, they hadn’t read this, they would expose themselves as ignorant. If they say yes that they had read this then they would also expose themselves as ignorant. It is a trick question.

Matthew 19:5 G2532 And G2036 he said, G1752 On account of G3778 this G2641 [2shall leave G444 1a man] G3588 the G3962 father G2532 and G3588 the G3384 mother, G2532 and G4347 shall cleave to G3588   G1135 his wife, G1473   G2532 and G1510.8.6 [3will be G3588 1the G1417 2two] G1519 for G4561 [2flesh G1520 1one].

Jesus reminds them that man is glued to the woman. The two become one flesh. Now how can a human unglue what the Elohim glued together?

Matthew 19:6 G5620 So that G3765 no longer G1510.2.6 are they G1417 two, G235 but G4561 [2flesh G1520 1one]. G3739 What G3767 then G3588   G2316 God G4801 yoked together, G444 let not man G3361   G5563 separate!

Yoke means to “conjoin, or unite”. Once two people are married they are no longer two individuals, they are one flesh. Manfaced cannot sever or divide what the Elohim joined. People get divorced for many different reasons. What do we do? Nothing. We work on our own lives, help others when we can, but ultimately those things are between individuals and the Elohim, not the individuals, the Elohim, and us. Many pastoral ministries have put women back into dangerous situations by condemning them for leaving an abusive marriage. The church is not supposed to be a fifth wheel. But from a counseling perspective both individuals have to be focused on the Elohim, because when one puts something or someone between themselves and the Elohim, that one brings in separation.

The Pharisees have another question.

Matthew 19:7 G3004 They say G1473 to him, G5100 Why G3767 then G* did Moses give charge G1781   G1325 to give G975 a scroll G647 of divorce, G2532 and G630 to dismiss G1473 her?

Moses did give instructions to give a letter of repudiation or divorce to loose a wife. It was a written contract. Notice how the Pharisees word their question. It shows a male dominated society. Jesus responds.

Matthew 19:8 G3004 He says G1473 to them G3754 that, G* Moses G4314 for G3588 the G4641 hardness of your heart G1473   G2010 committed to your care G1473   G630 to dismiss G3588   G1135 your wives; G1473   G575 [2from G746 3 the beginning G1161 1but] G3756 it happened not G1096   G3779 thus.

1) hardness of heart

σκληροκαρδία

sklērokardia sklay-rok-ar-dee'-ah Feminine of a compound of G4642 and G2588; hard heartedness, that is, (specifically) destitution of (spiritual) perception KJV Usage: hardness of heart.

Here is the key, the destitution of spiritual perception. When issues arise in marriage, either one or both parties are living physically and carnally, not spiritually. Once someone puts a barrier between him/herself and the Elohim they become hard, perverse, and lose their spiritual perception. Jesus points out the very situation that the Pharisees are in. Their hearts are hardened, they have no spiritual insight because if they did they would have recognized Jesus as the Messiah.

Matthew 19:9 G3004 And I say G1161   G1473 to you, G3754 that G3739 who G302 ever G630 should dismiss G3588   G1135 his wife, G1473   G3361 not G1909 for G4202 harlotry, G2532 and G1060 should marry G243 another, G3429 commits adultery; G2532 and G3588 the one G630 being dismissed G1060 marrying, G3429 commits adultery.

Jesus tells the Pharisees that whoever divorces his wife for something that is not harlotry and then remarries is committing adultery. Jesus is telling us that marriage is a gluing together that is not to be severed. The only excuse Jesus gives for divorcing a wife is for sexual sin, porneia. If a husband committed sexual sin, he can be put away as well. We know this because the disciples are listening to Jesus as well and they have a comment.

Matthew 19:10 G3004 [2say G1473 3to him G3588   G3101 1His disciples], G1473   G1487 If G3779 thus G1510.2.3 is G3588 the G156 fault G3588 of the G444 man G3326 with G3588 the G1135 wife, G3756 it is not G4851 advantageous G1060 to marry.

“His disciples say him, whether in this manner is the charge/reason the manfaced with the woman, not profitable marry."

The disciples were thinking about a couple of things here. First, the single disciples thought maybe they shouldn’t marry. The married disciples were thinking about traveling all over the place with Jesus. They left behind their wives while they traveled. They were thinking about divorcing their wives to free them, so that they could travel the world with the good news. It would be easier to allow their wives to find another man as they traveled the world.

Jesus knows what the disciples are thinking. The Pharisees must have left at this point because they were not harassing Jesus with the idea that they could be divorced for cheating on their wives. They exposed themselves in front of all the people who followed Jesus from Galilee to Judea.

Matthew 19:11 G3588 And he G1161   G2036 said G1473 to them, G3756 Not G3956 all G5562 have space G3588   G3056 for this word, G3778   G235 but G3739 to the ones whom G1325 it has been given.

“But the said them not all make room for this logos otherwise whom to give”

Not all people can make room for this word. The disciples were following Jesus. This is not about being celibate, and it is not about being unmarried. This word is a hard word for some people and Jesus is saying that only a few people can probably stay single. The idea of marriage is not a carnal union, it is a spiritual union, reuniting two parts to make one whole. It is not about sex, it is about being one being. Two glued into one. It is hard to be one half. Jesus is saying that not many people want to be one half.

Matthew 19:12 G1510.2.6 For there are G1063   G2135 eunuchs, G3748 the ones who G1537 from G2836 [2belly G3384 1 the mother's] G1080 were procreated G3779 thus;…

Eunuch - Vine's Expository Dictionary of New Testament Words

Eunuch

[ A-1,Noun,G2135, eunouchos

denotes

(a) an emasculated man, a eunuch," Matthew 19:12

(b) in the 3rd instance in that verse, "one naturally incapacitated for, or voluntarily abstaining from, wedlock;"

(c) one such, in a position of high authority in a court, "a chamberlain," Acts 8:27-Acts 8:39

[ B-1,Verb,G2134, eunouchizo

"to make a eunuch" (from A), is used in Matthew 19:12, as under

(b) in A; and in the Passive Voice, "were made eunuchs," probably an allusion by the Lord to the fact that there were eunuchs in the courts of the Herods, as would be well known to His hearers.

“For there are eunouchos “eunuchs” who from out of mother belly gave birth to in this manner.”

We all know that there were men who were castrated and who were attendants in the bed-chambers of the royal households. But this word is not castrated, it means impotent. It means “cannot procreate or have no desire to procreate". How do we know this? Because Jesus uses a different variation, the verb form, for a castrated male in the next statement. This eunuch is someone who is born without the desire or the ability to procreate. We know that there are people who are born with both male and female reproductive parts, hermaphrodites. There is some sort of anomaly with their formation in the womb. We do not know the extent of damage done by environmental factors to seeds and eggs. There is ample evidence that maternal stress during pregnancy will alter a baby’s chemical make up, whether with twins or triplets, or external stress factors, like fear. Some people are born that way from their mothers womb.

With everyone’s genetic makeup different, there are some things that affect people more profoundly than others after birth. There are hormone issues among humans. When men eat and drink things with too much estrogen they start to exhibit more female characteristics. For example Bill Gates has what people call “man boobs” and should consider a “manzere” or a “bro". In the last fifty years sperm counts have dropped, as well as testosterone levels in men. Some women have congenital adrenal hyperplasia or polycystic ovary syndrome. With too much testosterone or elevated levels of androgen a woman may have facial hair, balding, a deep voice, or difficulty in fertility. Today we inject our children with so many chemicals as well as animal and human DNA we do not know what kind of effect these things will have later in life. Yet in the last fifty years autism has exponentially increased. There are birth factors and external factors involved from the womb, and environmental factors after birth which alter some people’s physical processes.

Matthew 19:12...G2532 and G1510.2.6 there are G2135 eunuchs, G3748 the ones who G2134 were made eunuchs G5259 by G3588   G444 men;

Thayer:

1) to castrate, to neuter a man

2) metaph. to make one's self a eunuch i.e. by abstaining (like a eunuch from marriage)

εὐνουχίζω

eunouchizō yoo-noo-khid'-zo From G2135; to castrate (figuratively live unmarried) KJV Usage: make . . . eunuch.

“And there are eunouchos eunuchs, anyone who eunouchizō “castrated/neutered” from under/beneath the manfaced”

If we read this correctly, unlike in our English versions, Jesus is saying that there are eunuchs who are castrated by men. These are men who can’t procreate because they were castrated beneath, by men. Noah was castrated by Ham. Noah had three sons, and was prevented from having a fourth son, so Noah cursed Ham’s forth son Canaan.

Today, random people, who are not parents, want to castrate other people’s children. Can you see the plan of Satanas here? There is no reason to mutilate a child unless you don’t want that child to have the ability to procreate and you want them to have to receive medication and hormone therapy for the rest of their lives. If the church doesn’t stand against this, the church has failed. No one should be mutilating children who are molded and constructed in the image and likeness of the Elohim.

When a man is castrated, his body stops the production of testosterone and his sex drive is diminished. This is why royal households used eunuchs to guard the women, they could not impregnate the women and as the eunuchs aged they would lose their sex drive and not be interested in women. It was a safe way to guard important women. There is a third category that Jesus mentions.

Matthew 19:12...G2532 and G1510.2.6 there are G2135 eunuchs, G3748 the ones who G2134 made eunuchs of G1438 themselves G1223 on account of G3588 the G932 kingdom G3588 of the G3772 heavens.

“And there are eunuchs anyone who castrated himself on account of the kingdom of heaven.”

Jesus says that there are some men who castrate themselves. There were some early sects that believed that by freeing oneself of sexual pleasure they would receive enlightenment. Mostly, in every culture eunuchs were favored as servants and advisers because they would not overtake the sitting kings and lords as they did not have families. Castration in some regions, like China, included the elimination of the penis as well as the testicles. There was a good chance of death due to infection. Jesus is not talking about those who want to be servants in an earthly royal household, he is talking about those who want to be servants in a heavenly household. In some contrived way people decided that celibacy in the priesthood was a good idea. As we know, it is not. Many priests molest boys, girls, and nuns. If they were inspired to go into the priesthood under a religion promoting the celibacy of priests, then they should castrate themselves so as not to be so overcome with lust that they harm the innocent.

Jesus has now explained three types of eunuchs. Why is he talking about eunuchs? Because the disciples were thinking that they would divorce their wives to travel with Jesus. They thought it would be better not to marry. The point of marriage is to make one flesh from male and female. Jesus explains to them that they are not really called to that.

Matthew 19:12...G3588 The G1410 one being able G5562 to have space, G5562 let him have space!

“The strong enough make room, make room.”

Jesus says that those with dunamai power to do this should do it. Jesus did not want his disciples to divorce their wives. He understood that the two become one, and even if they live apart, the two will always be one. Does Jesus love those who are incapable or uninterested in procreation? Yes. Does Jesus want his followers to castrate themselves? No. All humans are born from women, but not all humans are born the same. There are many factors that go into one’s genetic make up that we do not see with our eyes. Even if we ask someone to drop their drawers we might not “see” that they are different.

We know Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, were all made eunuchs as Isaiah prophesied to Hezekiah, due to Hezekiah’s sin. Hezekiah’s response was more or less “thank God it wasn’t me”.

2 Kings 20:18 G2532 And G575 from G3588   G5207 your sons G1473   G3739 of the ones G1831 coming forth G1537 from G1473 you, G3739 whom G1080 you procreated, G2983 they shall take them, G2532 and G1510.8.6 they will be G2135 eunuchs G1722 in G3588 the G3624 house G3588 of the G935 king G* of Babylon

Isaiah 39:7 G3754 that, G2532 Also G575 of G3588   G5043 your children G1473   G3739 whom G1080 you engendered G2983 they shall take; G2532 and G4160 they shall be made G4680.3 castrati G1722 in G3588 the G3624 house G3588 of the G935 king G3588 of the G* Babylonians.

Joseph was given to Potiphar who was a eunuch made by men.

Genesis 37:36 G3588 And the G1161   G* Midianites G591 gave G3588   G* Joseph G1519 into G* Egypt G3588   G* to Potiphar G3588 the G4680.3 castrato G* of Pharaoh -- G749.3 the chief guard.

We can see why Potiphar’s wife was attracted to Joseph and why she tried to sleep with Joseph. Her husband was a eunuch who, as time went on, would have lost his desire for sexual relations. It would have been rather obvious if Joseph would have impregnated her.

Moses wrote this:

Deuteromony 23:1 G3756 [2shall not enter G1525   G2345.2 1One with crushed testicles] G3761 (nor G609 being cut off) G1519 into G3588 the G1577 assembly G2962 of the lord .

Usually this self mutilation was for a heathen god not for the Elohim, so these people were not allowed in the assembly. Moses also mentions that blemished, mutilated, or deformed men should not bring offerings and become priests.

Leviticus 21:18 G3956 Any G444 man G3739 in which G1437 ever G1510.3 might be G1722 in G1473 him G3470 a blemish, G3756 shall not G4334 come forward -- G444 [2man G5185 1a blind], G2228 or G5560 lame, G2228 or G2855.4 splitmouth, G2228 or G5621.1 with mutilated ears,

  19 G2228 or G444 a man G3739 in which G1437 might G1510.3 be G1722 in G1473 him G4938 a broken G5495 hand, G2228 or G4938 a broken G4228 foot,

  20 G2228 or G2964.1 humpback, G2228 or G2182.1 peeling, G2228 or G4421.2 hairless G3588 of the G3788 eyes, G2228 or G444 a man G3739 in which G302 ever G1510.3 might be G1722 in G1473 him G5596.2 [2mange G66 1a wild], G2228 or G3011.1 scabbed, G2228 or G3440.1 having one testicle.

  21 G3956 Every G444 man G3739 in which G1510.2.3 there is G1722 on G1473 him G3470 a blemish G1537 from G3588 the G4690 seed G* of Aaron G3588 the G2409 priest, G3756 shall not G1448 approach G3588   G4374 to offer G3588 the G2378 sacrifices G2532 to the lord, G3754 that G3470 has a blemish G1722 on G1473 him; G3588 [3the G1435 4gifts G3588   G2316 5of his God G1473   G3756 1he shall not come forward G4334   G4374 2to bring].

But by Isaiah’s time there were enough eunuchs in the land that if they kept the laws then they were blessed.

Isaiah 56:4 G3754 For G3592 thus G3004 says G2962 the lord G3588 to the G2135 eunuchs, G3745 As many G302 as G5442 should keep G3588   G4521 my Sabbaths, G1473   G2532 and G1586 should choose G3739 what G1473 I G2309 want, G2532 and G472 should hold to G3588   G1242 my covenant, G1473

  5 G1325 I will give G1473 to them G1722 in G3588   G3624 my house, G1473   G2532 and G1722 in G3588   G5038 my wall G1473   G5117 [2place G3687.1 1a famous], G2908 better G5207 than sons G2532 and G2364 daughters. G3686 [4name G166 3an eternal G1325 1I will give G1473 2to them], G2532 and G3756 it shall not G1587 cease.

We know from Jeremiah that there were eunuchs in Gibeon. Gibeon was the place that the tabernacle resided until the temple was built. The terms of being a eunuch changed.

Can homosexuals be considered eunuchs? Quite possibly, but not all.  How do we know what internal organs one has or what hormonal balance one has? Can we be sure that people are not born that way? Jesus did not come to condemn the world, he gave the world a better understanding of what is best. However, we see in Jesus’ first statement that some eunuchs are born that way from their mothers womb. Wouldn’t part of the plan that Satanas has for humans be to distort them in as many ways as possible so as to distance them from their Creator? If Satanas knows what chemicals will alter infants in utero wouldn’t he attempt to use them? We don’t condemn people who are born different do we? Do we want people saved? Considering that the definition of a eunuch is one who either cannot procreate or does not desire to procreate, should we condemn them?

Lets’ look at Paul’s words. The context is the unjust not inheriting the kingdom of God.

1 Corinthians 6:9 G2228 Or G3756 do you not G1492 know G3754 that G94 the unjust G932 [3 the kingdom G2316 4of God G3756 1shall not G2816 2inherit]? G3361 Do not G4105 be misled; G3777 neither G4205 fornicators, G3777 nor G1496 idolaters, G3777 nor G3432 adulterers, G3777 nor G3120 soft, G3777 nor G733 homosexuals,

  10 G3777 nor G2812 thieves, G3777 nor G4123 hoarders of wealth, G3777 nor G3183 intoxicated ones, G3756 nor G3060 revilers, G3756 nor G727 predacious G932 [2 the kingdom G2316 3of God G2816 1shall inherit].

The word arsenokoitēs derives from “man” and “bed". Men who sleep with men. If we look at Paul’s list here how do we justify the pastor who committed adultery? How do we reconcile people who got drunk. How about pastors who repeatedly slept with prostitutes, and were drunk and on drugs? We have to ask these questions because we overemphasize one of these attributes as worse than the others. The context that Paul is talking about is a man having a sexual relationship with his step mother from chapter 5. This scandal was known by others but not dealt with. Paul is saying, don’t bother judging those outside the church but you should be judging those inside the church. He tells the Corinthians in chapter six that they will judge angels. Paul is scolding them for not being able to judge matters in the church, but instead they bring their quarrels to the unjust. Then Paul lists the unjust who do not enter the kingdom of heaven. Similar to Paul’s words in Romans 1, those who deny the Creator are unjust. Let’s jump to Timothy.

1 Timothy 1:6 G3739 which G5100 some G795 having missed their aim, G1624 turn aside G1519 to G3150 useless discussion,

7 G2309 wanting G1510.1 to be G3547 teachers of the law, G3361 not G3539 comprehending G3739 what G3004 they say, G3383 nor G4012 concerning G5100 what G1226 they positively assert.

  8 G1492 But we know G1161   G3754 that G2570 [3 is good G3588 1the G3551 2law], G1437 if G5100 anyone G1473 [2it G3545 3lawfully G5530 1should treat];

  9 G1492 knowing G3778 this, G3754 that G1342 for the just G3551 the law G3756 is not G2749 situated,

Paul is warning Timothy that some people, as Christians, want to be teachers of the law. But for the just the law is not lain down. For the just the laws are not appointed. We do not lay down the law for the just. However for the lawless and unsubmissive there are laws.

1 Timothy 1:9… G459 but for the lawless G1161   G2532 and G506 unsubmissive ones, G765 impious G2532 and G268 sinners, G462 unholy G2532 and G952 profane, G3964 murderers of one's father G2532 and G3389 murderers of one's mother, G409 manslayers,

  10 G4205 fornicators, G733 homosexuals, G405 slave traders, G5583 liars, G1965 perjurers, G2532 and G1536 if anything G2087 other G3588   G5198 [2to healthy G1319 3instruction G480 1is an adversary],

In this list Paul again points to the lawless, sinful, and unruly. Is there a difference between the just and the unjust? Paul was a murderer of Christians; is he including himself in not entering the kingdom of heaven? Christians want to teach the law and yet under the age of the law there were a lot of problems in the temple. Josiah had to clean out the booths of the sodomites.

2 Kings 23:7 G2532 And G2507 he demolished G3588 the G3624 house G3588 of the G2504.2 male prostitutes G3588 of the ones G1722 in G3588 the G3624 house G2962 of the lord G1722 in G3739 which G3588 the G1135 women G5306.1 wove G1563 apparel there G4749   G3588 for the G251.1 sacred grove.

How do we reconcile Paul’s lists with the fact that it was a typical practice to have booths of male and female prostitutes in the temple?  Even though Josiah tore them down, they were brought back, even into the first century. The dividing line here is between the just and the unjust. If we believe that our actions make us just or unjust then we are mistaken. What makes us just or unjust is whether we believe on Jesus as Lord and that he rose up on the third day.

We allow pastors who have been adulterers to continue to be pastors. But if they are unjust because they are adulterers, we are allowing people to lead the church who are not going to enter the kingdom of heaven? That seems wrong. We allow divorcees to lead congregations. We allow people who have been drunk to lead congregations. We allow those who become rich wealth hoarders from the church donations, to lead the congregations. Isn’t something amiss here? Here is our answer.

1 Corinthians 6:11 G2532 And G3778 [3these G5100 1some G1510.7.5 2of you were]; G235 but G628 you were washed off, G235 but G37 you were sanctified, G235 but G1344 you were justified G1722 in G3588 the G3686 name G3588 of the G2962 Lord G* Jesus, G2532 and G1722 by G3588 the G4151 spirit G3588   G2316 of our God. G1473

Some people were unjust, lawless, and unruly before they were washed off. Some behaved that way after being in the church. The difference is that once we believe on Jesus we are justified. Who then should be counting sins? Paul continues.

1 Corinthians 6:12 G3956 All things G1473 to me G1832 are allowed, G235 but G3756 not G3956 all G4851 advantageous; G3956 all things G1473 to me G1832 are allowed, G235 but G3756 [3not G1473 1I G1850 2shall] be brought under the authority G5259 by G5100 any.

“Everything I permitted however not everything profitable; everything I permitted however I exercise authority not under anyone.”

The division is in one who believes on Jesus and one who does not. There are plenty of people who will try to infiltrate the church who are from the synagogue of Satanas, or Satanas’ seat, or lying with Jezebel in bed, in the church. There were people who slept with the male and female prostitutes in the temple as well. All things are acceptable, but not all things are profitable. The division of judgment is not at the sin, the division of judgement is either in the belief in Christ or not. This is why Paul says that he will exercise his own authority and not be under anyone, or any rules or laws. He will be responsible for himself. We should be responsible for ourselves.

Who can be saved? Everyone. Are there any “if’s”, “ands”, or “buts”? No.

1 Corinthians 6:13 G3588 The G1033 foods G3588 are for the G2836 belly, G2532 and G3588 the G2836 belly G3588 for the G1033 foods; G3588   G1161 but G2316 God G2532 [2both G3778 3this body G2532 4and G3778 5these foods G2673 1will render useless]. G3588 But the G1161   G4983 body G3756 is not G3588   G4202 for harlotry, G235 but G3588 for the G2962 Lord, G2532 and G3588 the G2962 Lord G3588 for the G4983 body.

The body is not for fornication or prostitution.

1 Corinthians 6:14 G3588   G1161 And G2316 God G2532 [2also G3588 3the G2962 4Lord G1453 1raised up], G2532 and G1473 will awaken us G1825   G1223 through G3588   G1411 his power. G1473

We who believe that Jesus is Lord and rose up on the third day will rise up to heaven. Will the divorced be harpazo’d? Will adulterers be harpazo’d?

1 Corinthians 6:15 G3756 Do you not G1492 know G3754 that G3588   G4983 your bodies G1473   G3196 [2members G5547 3of Christ G1510.2.3 1are]? G142 Having taken G3767 then G3588 the G3196 members G3588 of the G5547 Christ, G4160 shall I make them G4204 [2of a harlot G3196 1members]? G3361 May G1096 it not be.

An adulterous messianic leader who was joined to a harlot, is that one saved? I do not mean to pick on church/synagogue leaders, but understand the hypocrisy of pointing out sin in some people but not in church leaders. If one can be born without the ability or the desire to procreate can that one be saved? Of course.

1 Corinthians 6:16 G2228 Or do you G3756 not G1492 know G3754 that G3588 the G2853 one cleaving G3588 to the G4204 harlot, G1520 [2one G4983 3body G1510.2.3 1is]? G1510.8.6 [5shall be G1063 1For G5346 2he says G3588 3The G1417 4two] G1519 for G4561 [2flesh G1520 1one].

A pastor who went to a prostitute is like a pharisee visiting the temple prostitute, or a levite visiting the booths of the male prostitutes. They all are glued to a harlot. But in this administration, Jesus saves those who believe on Him.

1 Corinthians 6:17 G3588 But the one G1161   G2853 cleaving G3588 to the G2962 Lord G1520 [2one G4151 3spirit G1510.2.3 1is].

  18 G5343 Flee G3588   G4202 harlotry! G3956 Every G265 sin G3739 which G1437 ever G4160 [2should commit G444 1a man G1623 4outside G3588 5of the G4983 6body G1510.2.3 3is], G3588 but the one G1161   G4203 committing harlotry G1519 [2against G3588   G2398 3his own G4983 4body G264 1sins].

We have obviously been turned around and not able to yield sound judgement in the assemblies. What happens to the saved who sin? All people will be judged in receiving rewards. The unprofitable acts are burnt up, the profitable ones remain after the fire. Here is the balance. We can be saved and not receive rewards, or the balance of what survives the fire may be very small. It is all our own choice.

1 Corinthians 6:19 G2228 Or G3756 do you not G1492 know G3754 that G3588   G4983 your body G1473   G3485 [2a temple G3588 3of the G1722 6in G1473 7you G39 4holy G4151 5spirit G1510.2.3 1is], G3739 which G2192 you have G575 from G2316 God, G2532 and G3756 you are not G1510.2.5   G1438 your own?

Paul’s words have been around for almost two thousand years, these are not new ideas. But we have not understood ourselves in light of the temple of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit dwelt alongside male and female prostitution, sacrifices to Baal and Molech, and the worship or the stars, etc. for over four hundred years. The division here is saved versus unsaved. The best for us would be to glue ourselves to Christ.

1 Corinthians 6:20 G59 For you were bought G1063   G5092 of value; G1392 glorify G1211 [2indeed G3588   G2316 1God] G1722 in G3588   G4983 your body, G1473   G2532 and G1722 in G3588   G4151 your spirit! G1473   G3748 which G1510.2.3 is G3588 the one G2316 of God

Jesus paid a great price for all of us. His blood was shed to wash our sins. Why should an adulterous pastor who is glued to a wife and a harlot have all the cleansing from sin and no one else? Again, saved or unsaved. The unsaved need Jesus as much as we all do.

Jesus tells the disciples to let the children come to him for such is the kingdom of heaven. We do need to remove the predators and the abusers in the church because we are responsible before the Elohim for their safety.  Don’t cover over sin or hide the truth about a predator. Jesus then points out that it is hard to be a rich person and enter the kingdom of heaven. The disciples are wondering if they will be part of the millennial kingdom. Peter asks Jesus,“what about us”.

Matthew 19:27 G5119 Then G611 responding G3588   G* Peter G2036 said G1473 to him, G2400 Behold, G1473 we G863 left G3956 all, G2532 and G190 followed G1473 you; G5100 what G686 then G1510.8.3 will be G1473 to us?

  28 G3588   G1161 And G* Jesus G2036 said G1473 to them, G281 Amen G3004 I say G1473 to you, G3754 that G1473 you, G3588 the ones G190 following G1473 me, G1722 in G3588 the G3824 regeneration, G3752 whenever G2523 [4should be seated G3588 1the G5207 2son G3588   G444 3of man] G1909 upon G2362 the throne G1391 of his glory, G1473   G2523 [2shall sit G2532 3also G1473 1you] G1909 upon G1427 twelve G2362 thrones G2919 judging G3588 the G1427 twelve G5443 tribes G3588   G* of Israel.

The point here is that if we follow Jesus we will not be forgotten by Him. When Jesus sits on his throne, the twelve disciples will sit on their thrones, judging the twelve tribes.

Matthew 19:29 G2532 And G3956 every one G3739 who G863 left G3614 house, G2228 or G80 brothers, G2228 or G79 sisters, G2228 or G3962 father, G2228 or G3384 mother, G2228 or G1135 wife, G2228 or G5043 children, G2228 or G68 fields, G1752 because of G3588   G3686 my name, G1473   G1542 [2a hundred-fold G2983 1shall receive], G2532 and G2222 [3life G166 2eternal G2816 1shall inherit].

Anyone who left it all behind to follow Jesus will receive one hundred times, as well as eternal life. That is a nice promise. Is this promise made to everyone, or only to certain ones? Anyone.

Matthew 19:30 G4183 But many G1161   G1510.8.6 first will be G4413   G2078 last, G2532 and G2078 last G4413 first.

The first will be last and the last will be first. We can argue with Jesus all we want but it is not profitable. All people need Christ. All people should be shown the good news of the gospel. This is why we walk in love. We are no longer children of wrath. While we were dead in our sins Christ made us alive. We are saved by grace through faith. Jesus does not condemn people who are born different from the womb. He loves any and all people who follow Him. Our obligation is to present Jesus to everyone and let them decide. If we are willing to love the church leaders who are adulterers, or who visited prostitutes, or who are divorcees, or who have been drunk, or who cover over the sexual abuses of others, shouldn’t we also love those who don’t know Jesus at all? There may be a lot of people who are so tired of the evil dark world that we live in that they want to know Jesus. Anyone can be saved by grace through faith. It is not of works. Present Jesus to everyone. The last will be first.
