We have a lot of confusing ideas regarding the gifts of the Holy Spirit and what Paul wrote about in general in the epistles. But this confusion can be cleared up by studying and re-teaching exactly what Paul said. Paul explains to the Corinthian church that there are seven different gifts, and two similar gifts, but all are from the Holy Spirt. Paul explains that the Holy Spirit divides the gifts, Jesus divides the offices, and the Elohim divides the operations. Notice the three different categories that are not directed by humans. We make the mistake of not teaching what Paul taught when we put humans in positions between us and the Elohim. But as usual the truth of the Bible corrects our mistakes. We are to be zealous for the more excellent gifts and pursue the preeminent way. Paul was not shy about telling Timothy about different doctrines that were similar to what Paul said but that varied slightly. Let’s explore.
1 Timothy 1:3 G2531 As G3870 I appealed to G1473 you G4357 to remain G1722 in G* Ephesus, G4198 going G1519 to G* Macedonia, G2443 that G3853 you should exhort G5100 some G3361 not G2085 to teach a different doctrine,

heterodidaskaleō het-er-od-id-as-kal-eh'-o From G2087 and G1320; to instruct differently KJV Usage: teach other doctrine (-wise).
We see that the direction Paul gives Timothy is exhortation to not teach a different doctrine, heterodidaskaleō. Paul used a unique word. Heteros, “another”, and didaskalos “teaching”. Another teaching is something that varies from what Paul taught. It is true in part, but also false in part. It would be like saying that prophecy is used today but that healing died with the apostles. Yes prophecy is used today, but healing is also still available.
1 Timothy 6:3 G1536 If anyone G2085 teaches a different doctrine, G2532 and G3361 does not G4334 come forward G5198 with healthy G3056 words, G3588 the words G3588 G2962 of our Lord G1473 G* Jesus G5547 Christ, G2532 and G3588 in the G2596 [2according to G2150 3piety G1319 1instruction]

In the same letter, Paul repeats heterodidaskaleō, for Timothy. It is only used twice in the entire Bible; both times in the book of Timothy. Paul says that anyone who teaches something that is not exactly what Paul taught (meaning parts of the doctrine that Paul teaches, mixed with parts of the doctrine that he does not teach), that person is blowing smoke, is puffed up, or haughty. Therefore anyone who teaches only part of what Paul taught is someone to be separated from. Paul was a scholar. First in the Pharisee schooling, and then spending fourteen years with the Essenes in their formal schooling. Paul had more schooling than anyone from his time. Paul says this a little differently in his second letter to Timothy.
2 Timothy 2:2 G2532 And G3739 the things G191 you heard G3844 from G1473 me G1223 through G4183 many G3144 witnesses, G3778 these things G3908 place unto G4103 trustworthy G444 men, G3748 ones who G2425 will be fit G1510.8.6 G2532 also G2087 [2others G1321 1to teach]!
“And this hear in the presence of me through many witnesses this entrust to faithful manfaced, anyone who will be worthy and teach (didaskō) others (heteros).”
Paul tells Timothy that what he heard Paul teach to many people, entrust those words to faithful men who will be worthy to teach others of the same kind. Paul wants Christians to be taught what he taught people. Paul wants Timothy to commission faithful men to teach the same things that Paul taught. Here is where we make a mistake. We are not to teach the same thing our Pastor taught, or the things our denomination teaches, we are to teach the same things that Paul taught. Paul, not the pastor, not the elder, not the Bible college or the denomination. Teach the same thing that Paul taught.
We obviously have a problem with Paul’s statement because we have many religions, many denominations, many variations of scripture, and many people with opinions other than Paul’s. We have heard them all. Some people get so stuck in the religious teachings of their church that they don’t even realize that we are supposed to be teaching others what Paul taught.
With this in mind we can look at the things Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 12 and teach other Christians the same. Paul is not saying to teach the whole world including the Jesus haters, because he used the word heteros. Teach other believers in Christ the same thing. Teach other believers what Paul taught.
1 Corinthians 12:1 G4012 But concerning G1161 G3588 the G4152 spirituals, G80 brethren, G3756 I do not G2309 want G1473 you G50 to be ignorant.
“But about the spiritual/non-carnal fellow Christians not wish you not to know.”
Paul is speaking to brothers in Christ, or fellow Christians. These are another of a different kind, heteros. He wants fellow Christians to know about spiritual matters.
1 Corinthians 12:2 G1492 You know G3754 that G3753 when G1484 you were nations, G1510.7.5 G4314 [2to G3588 3the G1497 5idols G3588 G880 4voiceless G5613 6even as G302 G71 7you were led G520 1being led away].
“I know that when you were ethnos/nations carried off towards the voiceless idols so that lead away.”
Paul is pointing out to the Corinthians that they followed voiceless idols. They didn’t do it on purpose, but that was their culture until someone brought the gospel to them. Once they had some knowledge of Jesus then they were following the gospel message; that Jesus died and rose up on the third day. But they had a little trouble with the gifts and operations of the Holy Spirit. Paul is going to explain it to them.
1 Corinthians 12:3 G1352 Therefore G1107 I make known G1473 to you, G3754 that G3762 no one G1722 [2in G4151 3spirit G2316 4of God G2980 1speaking] G3004 says, G331 Jesus is anathema; G* G2532 and G3762 no one G1410 is able G2036 to say, G2962 Lord G* Jesus, G1508 except G1722 by G4151 [2spirit G39 1holy].
“Wherefore I point out that no one speaking in Spirit of the Elohim speak curses Jesus. And no one is able say Yahweh Jesus if not in Holy Spirit.”
One obvious problem they had was that they thought if someone spoke in the Spirit they may have been cursing Jesus. People knew about speaking in tongues in the old testament. But speaking by the spirit is more than speaking in unacquired languages. However they also knew about the languages of demons.

The first century church knew about the languages of demons because it is written in Psalms. The dialect of demons is the language of curses. David speaks about this unacquired language.
https://musingsofawinsomeheart.blogspot.com/2019/11/psalms-109-intercession-for-warriors.html
Putting together a full understanding here, we see that it is possible to speak in unacquired languages for good or evil. This is what the Corinthians were concerned with. They were concerned because they felt it could defile them. The key here is what a person is filled with. If a person is filled with the Holy Spirit there is nothing wrong. If a person is filled with demons they may in fact curse Jesus. Individually we know who we are filled with. Keep in mind that demons do testify of Jesus as the Son of God, but they also curse humans. The Holy Spirit gives us a tool for this discernment as we will see shortly.
The second part of Paul’s statement is that people cannot say that Jesus is Lord if they don’t have the Holy Spirit. Why? Because the Holy Spirit indwells those people who believe Jesus is Lord and believe he rose up on the third day. That is when the Holy Spirit indwells the believer. If one has the Holy Spirit inside, that one can say “Jesus is Yahweh”. If one does not have the Holy Spirit inside, then that one cannot say “Jesus is Lord”. The word epō is translated “say”. It is a verb in the past tense. One cannot say, speak, or address, Jesus is Lord, without the Holy Spirit inside. First believe, then receive the Holy Spirit. That way you yourself know if you are speaking by the Holy Spirit or not.

“But divisions there are gifts but the Spirit itself.”
Diairesis means that there are “distinctions or diversities or differing” of something. In this case we are talking about charisma. Charisma stems from charis which is “grace, or graciousness, or favor”. These divisions are a “free gift”. When someone gives us a gift we should say 'thank you’, but often we say we don’t want that gift. The Holy Spirit will give a distinct gift or a diverse gift to us at the time we need it. If we are praying for people we may need the division of grace to cast out demons. Or we might need the division of grace to give a word of knowledge. Whatever we need, the Holy Spirit will divide for us. This tells us that we can have multiple portions of grace and favor as the Holy Spirit decides.
These gifts come from the Holy Spirit. If one denies the Holy Spirit, that one does not operate under the power of the Holy Spirit. Let me explain. Some people deny that Jesus is Lord but then claim to be prophets. We see many so called prophets in Judaism and other religions. They are not prophets. They are false prophets. Prophecy is only given to people from the Holy Spirit. One cannot have the Holy Spirit inside if that one rejects Jesus. To be someone who ministers healing, that one must be a believer in Jesus Christ in order to have the Holy Spirit within. The Holy Spirit divides the gift as the Holy Spirit wills. If one rejects Jesus as Lord then that one does not have the Holy Spirit and is not utilizing the power of the free gift from the Holy Spirit. Like the seven sons of Sceva, people can cast out demons with their own authority, but if they do not believe that Jesus is Lord then they will not have the Holy Spirit and will not be casting out demons by the power of the Holy Spirit. Simple right? Yet we tend to look to non-Christians for physical healing, spiritual healing, and emotional healing. It is not that we cannot learn from others but who is operating the power that is behind the healing is the key. Are they speaking by the Holy Spirit?

“And there are divisions the offices and the Yahweh himself.”
There are many offices in the Body of Christ and Yahweh is the one in charge of those offices. Martha was concerned with service or serving. Imagine having Jesus at your house, you would want to serve him and your guests. Paul talks about his service in the Body of Christ. Not every office looks the same, not every pastor functions the same. We did that, we send people to school to learn to do things in a certain manner, such as a worship pastor, a church pastor, or a missions pastor. We did the dividing. But Jesus is the one in charge of how one serves, whether apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor, teacher, or anything else. Jesus divides the offices as he chooses.
This is very important. Today we have some people who put themselves in positions above Jesus. There are pastors, ministers, and church leaders who tell people how to serve the Lord. Once there was a worship pastor who told someone that they could not just be a christian musician and write songs, they also had to be a worship pastor. That person felt that God did not want them to be a pastor specifically, but to serve in a different way. This created significant turmoil within the musician for several years. Eventually Jesus became preeminent in the direction that Jesus wanted the musician to go, to which the musician wrote tremendously popular Christian songs. The whole time that this musician was stalled Jesus knew what the musician was to do, because He gave him the service. But guess what? The Elohim also divided the workings of the musician. It is not like the Elohim is dead, he is alive. The Elohim tailored the way that this person would operate the office that he was called to.

“And there are divisions operations but it is the Elohim themself the operate the all in all.”
There are divisions of operations or workings or effects. Who is in charge of that? The Elohim; Father, Son, and/or Holy Spirit. The Elohim divides actions, operations, and work. The Elohim is active to accomplish workings in us. Just like the musician, one can be called to do something that does not look like everyone else. It is not up to the earthly men and women as to what office someone has in the body of Christ and how they operate it, it is up to the Elohim; the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. It does not matter what college or church one goes to. The Elohim is living inside. We have to trust their voice, not the voices of humans.
Notice how Paul writes this, first it is the Holy Spirit, then Yahweh, then The Elohim doing the divisions. Paul is making the point that all three work together in this area. What do they work to do? They give gifts, offices, and operations, or grace, service, and works. This is from your Elohim through you, to the Body of Christ. This means the things you serve, the way you serve, and how you serve, should all be directed by the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Paul is assuring the Corinthians that they would not be doing anything wrong speaking by the Spirit of the Living Elohim. Remember how their society functioned, they had a lot of corruption, false religions, prostitution, and a huge contention between the Jews and the new Christians. It would be easy for the people of Corinth to become fearful over the power of the Elohim. It was new to them and they didn’t want to be led astray.

phanerōsis fan-er'-o-sis From G5319; exhibition, that is, (figuratively) expression, (by extension) a bestowment KJV Usage: manifestation.
“But every one gives manifestation/exhibition the Spirit towards the bring together.”
Some people call the “gifts of the Spirit”, the “manifestations of the Spirit”. The gifts are manifested openly. That is what is being manifested or exhibited. The gifts, the offices, and the operations, are all openly displayed. This also tells us that they should be done in front of others, where it is seen, not hidden in a separate room away from the church body. Once when praying for healing for someone in a room full of believing Christians, some people got mad because they thought that the administering of grace healing should be done in a secluded place. No, Paul says grace healing should be on display, and it should bring people together. However in this situation it divided people because they were foolish and unlearned. This is how you know what kind of people are in your church. If speaking by the Spirit to heal someone in need is an unacceptable practice then find a new church.
The purpose of the open display or manifestation of the Holy Spirit is to bring the called out together. Many churches do open services, apart from regular Sunday service, where a ministry team ministers to whoever might need healing or deliverance. The gifts of the Holy Spirit, the offices of Jesus Christ, and the operations of the Elohim, are to bring the Body of Christ together. It is not about ‘we four and no more’, but it is about bringing in those in need, whether in the church for help or from outside of the church for salvation. The manifestation of the Holy Spirit working in many people, on display brings the church together. This is what the manifestation or open display is for. When one person gets healed everyone rejoices. When one person gets delivered, set free, and saved, everyone rejoices. We see this as a celebratory time for everyone.
1 Corinthians 12:8 G3739 For indeed one G3303 G1063 G1223 through G3588 the G4151 spirit G1325 is given G3056 word G4678 of wisdom; G243 and to another G1161 G3056 word G1108 of knowledge, G2596 according to G3588 the G1473 same G4151 spirit.
“That on the one hand for through the Spirit gives logos wisdom but allos (another different) logos of knowledge downward the Spirit itself.”
We see our word allos, “another different” here as well as our word kata, “downward”. The Holy Spirit gives a logos of wisdom. Ok. Then the Holy Spirit gives a logos of knowledge. It comes downward from the Holy Spirit itself. Think of it as a download from the Holy Spirit. A word of wisdom and another different word of knowledge. This tells us that those two things are not the same but different. These are the divisions that Paul spoke of. Sometimes knowledge is important, sometimes wisdom is important.
I remember we were praying for someone who was going to take an important trip. Someone told the person that she kept seeing the word grace. We thought God was giving this person grace for their trip. But after their flight connected in Chicago, a young girl named Grace sat next to the person that we had prayed for. After sharing Jesus with her and recommending a church, we understood the word of knowledge. Sometimes the understanding of a word is instant, sometimes it is something to look back on and understand.
Sometimes people have issues that hold them back in life. Wisdom regarding a specific situation sets people free. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Wisdom, “Sophia”. After speaking wisdom, it is up to the individual to utilize it. We do not babysit people.
1 Corinthians 12:9 G2087 And to another G1161 G4102 belief, G1722 in G3588 the G1473 same G4151 spirit; G243 and to another G1161 G5486 favors G2386 of cures, G1722 in G3588 the G1473 same G4151 spirit;
“But heteros (another of a different kind) trust in the Spirit itself. But allos (another different) grace healing in the Spirit itself.”
Paul switches to the word heteros when describing faith or trust. Faith resides within us. We have the faith to speak knowledge and wisdom, we rely on the Holy Spirit. Faith is already in us and it does not require any activation from the Holy Spirit, we simply walk out on it. Our logos of knowledge and wisdom depends on our faith. Faith is the heteros, another of a different kind that is the root to the logos, while knowledge and wisdom are different kinds of words. Faith is a division but one of the same. We could say that the Spirit tells our spirit, that is heteros. One Spirit to another different kind of spirit, the Holy Spirit to spirit of the Christian. Faith is a standard gift that we received when we believed on Jesus as Lord. The Holy Spirit does not have to do anything with faith, we simply grow our faith from credence to fidelity.
The next allos we have listed is grace healing or gifts of healing. Healing is a gift and it is due to grace. It is another different division. We don’t necessarily deserve healing but we can receive healing. Healing is different than words of knowledge or wisdom, but one needs faith or trust in the Holy Spirit to minister healing.
1 Corinthians 12:10 G243 and to another G1161 G1755 operations G1411 of powers; G243 and to another G1161 G4394 prophecy; G243 and to another G1161 G1253 distinction G4151 of spirits; G2087 and to another G1161 G1085 types G1100 of languages; G243 and to another G1161 G2058 translation G1100 of languages.
“But allos (another different) working force/miracle power, but allos (another different) prophecy but allos (another different) distinguishing spirits. But heteros (another of a different kind) genos languages, but allos (another different) translation languages.”
Another different division of the Holy Spirit is in miracle power. The division of the Holy Spirit in “miracle power” or “working force” is for open display, it is for manifestation and exhibition. Working force is a good description of what happens with this division of the Holy Spirit. It is a spiritual force that works in the world to alter situations for the benefit of others.
Sometimes the Holy Spirit gives us miracle working power to subdue our spiritual and physical enemies. If you think a demon is a force, or a principality is a force, or the ruler of darkness is a force, understand that the Holy Spirit is a more powerful force. Working forces are the words the Holy Spirit tells us to speak that rebuke witches and witchcraft, that repel and reverse curses, that paralyze and prostrate demons. It is a spiritual force working on the earth. Use it.
Another different division is prophecy. Again, one cannot be a prophet if that one does not have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the one who gives the prophecy, not someone who desires to be noticed apart from the Holy Spirit. The PT Barnum prophets are not working with the Holy Spirit but apart from the Holy Spirit. They are not speaking by the Spirit of God.
Discerning of spirits is a division of the Holy Spirit where someone can distinguish or judge what spirit is working in a situation. The act of sentencing after a judicial estimation is also involved by the definition of diakrisis. There are many types of spirits; the Holy Spirit, the spirit of man, spirit of fear, spirit of jealousy, spirit of deep sleep, spirit of heaviness, spirit of whoredoms, etc. The Holy Spirit is interested in us judging what spirit is involved in a person or situation.
Another of a different kind (heteros) of tongues, means we speak in a language that the Holy Spirit speaks while that language is unacquired to us. It is perfect prayer, perfect intercession, as Paul tells us in Romans 8:26-27. Genos glōssa, is a language of men or angels, acquired or unacquired. Did you think that the Holy Spirit only spoke English? The Holy Spirit speaks all languages, earthly and celestial. It is quite funny when people prophesy or interpret tongues in King James English. This heteros gift is already within us. The Holy Spirit doesn’t have to activate it, it is residing inside. We simply speak it out. Genos glōssa is within us.
Another different division of the Holy Spirit is translating, interpreting, or explaining genos glōssa. Sometimes a person translates their own genos glōssa or sometimes a person translates someone else’s genos glōssa. The acquired or unacquired language is interpreted for the benefit of everyone. Remember what happened on Pentecost? Jews from every nation were in town for shavuot, and in the temple courts they heard the disciples speaking in their own language, the wonderful works of God. The people from different nations interpreted seventeen known genos glōssa from the men of Galilee.
Let’s look at these divisions. The allos group are wisdom, knowledge, grace healing, working force, prophecy, judging spirits, and translation of genos glōssa. These are all different but they all come from the Holy Spirit. The heteros group are faith and genos glōssa. They are different but technically they both reside within us, there is no need for any action on the Holy Spirit’s part to activate faith or unacquired tongues. We all must have faith/trust that Jesus died and rose up on the third day so that we have the indwelling Holy Spirit. We all must have faith/trust that the Holy Spirit is in charge of the dividing for open display, and that we will be given what we need when we need it. All of the seven allos gifts are spoken gifts. We speak wisdom, knowledge, grace healing, working force, prophecy, judging spirits, and translating languages. Therefore, going back to verse 3, no one speaking by the Spirit of the Elohim curses Jesus. Also no one can call Jesus Yahweh except by the Holy Spirit. These seven favors or gifts are for the benefit of others.
The two heteros gifts are gifts that everyone has, all the time. They are already within the individual when he/she believes. Everyone has a division or distribution of faith, because we believe Jesus is Lord. Because of that faith we have the Holy Spirit inside. We then have faith/trust that what the Elohim has said is true. Our faith grows. Our righteousness is revealed from acceptance to loyalty. The just live by trust. Everyone has a distribution of genos glōssa because everyone has the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. Just like the day of Pentecost all believers have the acquired and unacquired languages of men and angels. This tells us that faith and glōssa should be a daily part of our lives, and the Holy Spirit doesn’t need to do anything extra for their use. We are the ones that either use or do not use faith and unacquired languages.
The two heteros favors/gifts are divided to everyone. They are another of the same division from the Holy Spirit. The allos gifts are divided as needed, while the heteros divided gifts are always available. The allos gifts are used when we serve others, the heteros gifts can always be in use. We do not turn on and off our faith, and we can speak in other unacquired languages whenever we want.
It is popular in Charismatic Christianity to divide these gifts/favors into three categories. Category one is wisdom, knowledge, faith. Category two is healing, miracles, and discerning of spirits. Category three is prophecy, tongues, and interpretation of tongues. Even though this is not quite the order Paul put them in, people group them this way for various reasons. But now that we dissected the words more completely we see faith and tongues are separate from the group. The grouping is not significant as to levels of spirituality or as to order of practice. The grouping is different divisions of seven gifts. Then two gifts divided to everyone. Whether we use them or not is another matter. Just as our faith grows, our prayer language of genos glōssa builds us up as well.
1 Corinthians 12:11 G3956 But all G1161 G3778 these G1754 operate G3588 by the G1520 one G2532 and G3588 the G1473 same G4151 spirit, G1244 dividing G2398 privately G1538 to each G2531 as G1014 he wills.
“But all this operates the one and the Spirit itself divide separate every one how intends.”
The Holy Spirit is in charge of the operation and division to everyone. The Holy Spirit divides and separates how the Holy Spirit intends. This shows us that we are to be submitted to the Elohim at all times. We never know what we may need to do to serve, but if we are listening then we will be told.
Paul goes on to explain that the body has different members and we should not all expect to be the eye, or the foot. There are needful positions everywhere. Paul then goes on to explain. Remember, the Holy Spirit divides gifts, Jesus divides offices, and the Elohim divides operations.
1 Corinthians 12:28 G2532 And G3739 whom G3303 indeed G5087 [2appointed G3588 G2316 1God] G1722 in G3588 the G1577 assembly, G4412 first G652 apostles, G1208 second G4396 prophets, G5154 third G1320 teachers, G1899 thereupon G1411 works of power, G1534 then G5486 favors G2386 of cures, G484 assistance, G2941 guidance, G1085 types G1100 of languages.
“And that on the one hand the Elohim placed in the ekklesia first apostles second prophet third teachers thereafter powers then grace healing, steering, directorships, genos glōssa.”
Paul is using the various ministries in the church as an example of the Body of Christ. Jesus established the apostles, prophets, and teachers. The Holy Spirit established the powers, grace healing, and genos glōssa. The Elohim established the steering committees, and directorships. This is what Paul said in the beginning of this chapter, the Holy Spirit divides the gifts, Jesus divides the offices, and the Elohim divides the operations.
1 Corinthians 12:29 G3361 Not G3956 all G652 are apostles. G3361 Not G3956 all G4396 are prophets. G3361 Not G3956 all G1320 are teachers. G3361 Not G3956 all G1411 are works of power.
“Not all apostles, not all prophets, not all teachers, not all powers.”
1 Corinthians 12:30 G3361 Not G3956 all G5486 [2favors G2192 1have] G2386 of cures. G3361 Not G3956 all G1100 [2languages G2980 1speak]. G3361 Not G3956 all G1329 interpret.
“Not all possess grace healing, not all speak glōssa, not all interpret.”
Not all means “not all people in the Body of Christ do all things”. Not all people go abroad and bring the gospel to others. Not all people use miracle working power. Not all people administer grace healing. Sometimes people are not informed that the Holy Spirit divides these gifts at the time of need. Sometimes people aren’t taught that they need to take the first steps to walk out in serving others, just go do it. The Holy Spirit is inside us, always ready, always available. Even though genos glōssa is imparted to everyone, not everyone will use it, not everyone will be taught that they can use it, and some may even be taught that it is wrong. But remember, Paul says that he speaks in tongues more than all the Corinthians, 1 Corinthians 14:18. Paul thinks people should be speaking in unacquired languages because it is perfect prayer which Jesus hears and understands.

1 Corinthians 12:31 G2206 But be zealous for G1161 G3588 the G5486 [2favors G3588 G2908 1better]. G2532 And G2089 yet G2596 [3that exceeds G5236 G3598 2a way G1473 1I will show to you]. G1166
“But emulate the more excellent gifts and still I point out way downwards surpassing excellence.”
We are to be zealous and emulate the more excellent gifts. We are to burn with zeal for the more excellent gifts. What are the more excellent gifts? The things that help people the most, such as healing, judging spirits, working force, and sometimes prophecy. We tend to elevate prophets but they are hardly ever right. If we take the Essene model for being prophetic then an incorrect prophecy would result in the prophet committing suicide. If that was a clause in the prophecy contract with the Elohim then we would have a lot fewer prophets and those who did take up the gift wouldn’t be wrong. But what we can do for one another is minister grace healing, and judging spirits, and working forces or miracles. Those are less about the one administering the gift and more about the one receiving the gift. However there is a way that comes downward from heaven and is preeminent.
1 Corinthians 13:1 G1437 If G3588 [2the G1100 3languages G3588 G444 4of men G2980 1I speak] G2532 and G3588 of the G32 angels, G26 [4love G1161 1but G3361 3not G2192 2I have], G1096 I have become G5475 brass G2278 resounding, G2228 or G2950 a cymbal G214 sounding loudly.
“If haply speak the glōssa of the manfaced and the angels but I have not love (agapē) I become brass sound or cymbal clashing.”
Burn with zeal for the more excellent gifts and walk in love. No one cares if we speak in the genos glōssa of men and/or angels. No one cares how many prophecies we give (especially if we are often wrong). No one cares what our “title” in the church is if you do not have love. Everything regarding the gifts of the Holy Spirit and speaking in the Holy Spirit has to center around our love for others. It is unfortunate that there is a new chapter break here in Corinthians just when Paul was telling us about the preeminent way. In order to utilize the gifts divided to us we have to have love, compassion, and good will for those that we are serving.
Coming back to Paul’s words regarding heterodidaskaleō, similar but different teachings than Paul, we want to ask; where in the Bible does it say that the gifts of the Spirit are no longer in use? Why would Paul write, being led by the Holy Spirit, about something that was useless to people in our age? He didn’t. Instead, we are to teach other people what Paul taught. This is our commission. What did Paul say regarding speaking by the Spirit? Every one of those gifts divided to us requires speech. We are required to speak by the Holy Spirit in each gift to make it beneficial, this is the open display of the Spirit. If we don’t speak, then it is not manifested. If we utilize the gifts of the spirit in open display then other people will see the ministry of the Holy Spirit. People who have never heard about the divisions of the gifts of the Holy Spirit, and people who don’t know about the gifts that the Elohim gives us will see it for themselves, regardless of what false teachers have claimed. It is not for us to decide who gets what office or operation. That is for the Elohim to decide. We simply have to speak by the Holy Spirit, and openly use the gifts that we have been given for the benefit of the Body of Christ. We use the heteros gifts every day throughout the day and we use the allos gifts as the Holy Spirit gives them out. And no matter what, we walk in love and run to Yahweh.
