A little girl named Alice saw a white rabbit and followed it down a rabbit hole. A wild and crazy world existed under the ground in which everything was very strange. Thomas A. Anderson was told to follow the white rabbit, and when he did he met Trinity who brought him to a dark world that existed alongside the normal world. Mr. Anderson was given the choice between taking a red pill or the blue pill. Once Mr Anderson made his decision a shadow world was revealed and he became known as Neo. He then learned, trained, and engaged a dark enemy. Many people follow a white rabbit, a rabbit’s trail, that takes us places that we don’t expect, be it politics, history, or biblical studies. We should not be surprised that there are many who opt for the blue pill as that is the easiest, and what seems the safest way to live. The dangers in the red pill are too scary for some, while others thrive on knowledge and want to know who is behind the curtains.
In the church, we have people who are red pill people who want to know everything that’s available in the Bible. There are blue pill people who may have been told not to look into certain aspects of the Bible because they aren’t for us, and that simple suggestion is all the blue pill people need to stay comfortable. But that is not the answer a red pill person accepts. Many denominations refuse to teach about the gifts and power of the Holy Spirit, suggesting it is evil, or demonic, or not available today. Yet, all the red pill people know those things are untrue, and border on heresy and blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, the very comforter, defense attorney, and one who created seed in Mary to bring forth Jesus. Jesus warned us that blaspheming the Holy Spirit, which is attributing the power of the Holy Spirit to the satan, is unforgivable. Jesus said the Holy Spirit is a paraclete and will teach us all things. The Holy Spirit is the white rabbit leading you to the red pill.
Once a person is red pilled, a whole other world comes into focus which has always existed including angels, demons, spiritual authority, and power. Dunamis is our miracle working power that covers us when we are filled with the Holy Spirit. It is not just defensive weaponry, but offensive weaponry. One of the weapons in our arsenal happens to be a controversial one as some people reject and refuse it outright.
We have seen an evidence which occurs when people receive the Holy Spirit and dunamis. We have also noted that there is no magic formula or predetermined actions. Sometimes the Holy Spirit and dunamis falling is immediate sometime it is not. Sometimes there were laying on of hands, sometimes not. Sometimes there was immersion, sometimes not. Sometimes demons came out screaming sometimes not. Paul tells us not to forbid or hinder it, 1 Corinthians 14:39.
The evidence is that people started speaking in unacquired languages. As these people spoke, the languages were known by some and those people would report that they were magnifying God, or speaking the wonderful works of God. The people who spoke did not know what they were speaking, but some of the people who heard, knew what they were speaking. What do you suppose the conversations were like? “Hey Frank how did you learn to speak my language so well?” “I don’t know how to speak your language Bob.”
The word glōssa can be an unacquired language, it is noted in the old covenant as stuttering or stammering and as a different language.

We should realize that speaking in unacquired languages is not a new subject for the new covenant only, it was spoken of in the old covenant as well. Glōssa is mostly translated language or tongue as in saying something good or bad. Yet when we add context, a new picture emerges.
Isaiah talks about the future from his time period when the Lord of hosts comes, he will be the crown of hope but the people will be left in a spirit of judgement. Jesus came and died, was resurrected and ascended. Luke related Peter’s speech to Cornelius and his household telling them that Jesus was the judge of the living and the dead, Acts 10:42. Isaiah says the Lord will be a spirit of judgement, Isaiah 28:6. Then he points out that they did many detestable things. Isaiah then asks who they were speaking to when they were reporting the Lord coming as judge and pointing out their evil behaviors. Isaiah says they, the prophets, were speaking to those who were weaned, not to babies. Therefore they now should expect affliction.

Because of the disparaging words and evil behaviors, the Lord would talk to them in a different, strange, unacquired language. On Pentecost people heard the disciples speaking the wonderful works of God. They heard the words in different languages, the very words they could not hear in their own language; words that magnified God. The mature people would not listen to the words in their language, so the Holy Spirit brought a message in different unacquired languages.
Let’s connect Isaiah 28:11-12 with 1 Corinthians 14:21. Paul says this:

Unacquired languages is the true rest for the weary and a true refreshing. Strange languages and foreign languages, stammering and stuttering in unacquired languages, brings rest and refreshing. This is the way the rebellious are taught about the power of the Most High God. The prophets did this during Isaiah’s time, the disciples did this on Pentecost, and we do this today. The Lord humiliated the rebellious people when he led others in unacquired languages. Today it seems that those without this ability attempt to flip the tables and humiliate those with the ability. They also attempt to stop others from this ability with disinformation. Oh dear Alice! Let’s go on.
Isaiah 28:12 This is the rest to him that is hungry, and this is the calamity: but they would not hear.
13 Therefore the oracle of God shall be to them affliction on affliction, hope on hope, yet a little, and yet a little, that they may go and fall backward; and they shall be crushed and shall be in danger, and shall be taken.
Because they would not hear the prophets in their their own language, nor in different unacquired languages, they would have affliction, be crushed and be taken. But the rebellious want you to think that you have been tricked, misinformed, and deceived. However, when we go a little deeper, we find that the rebellious made a bad allegiance.
Isaiah 28:14 Therefore hear ye the word of the Lord, ye afflicted men, and ye princes of this people that is in Jerusalem. 15 Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with Hades, and agreements with death; if the rushing storm should pass, it shall not come upon us: we have made falsehood our hope, and by falsehood shall we be protected:
Isaiah says that those who were mature, princes, and religious leaders, made a deal with hades and death, thinking that they would be protected from afflictions. Remember what Peter said to the Romans, Jesus was the judge of the living and the dead? Remember Jesus told us he has the keys to hades and death? This is a really bad deal to have made. Everyone who makes a deal with hades and death is still going to face Jesus. Falsehood will not protect them. On account of this, the Lord will put a cornerstone, a foundation stone, in Zion.
These people who would not listen to the Lord or the prophets made a deal with the devil. They would like you to think that they are better people as they condemn those who speak in unacquired languages. But they are not truthful, they are not telling you about their backdoor deal. This goes for those who reject Jesus today as well as those who reject the Holy Spirit and dunamis.
Isaiah 28:16 Therefore thus saith the Lord, even the Lord,

Isaiah was writing for his time through to the time of Jesus coming prophetically. Isaiah knew that they would reject the Messiah. This is why he speaks so harshly. The sign to them was at their time, and still is today, people speaking in different, strange, unacquired languages. His people, Jesus’ people, rejoiced over unacquired languages magnifying God. The religious leaders condemned them and tried to stop them. Jesus’ people were not ashamed. The religious leaders stumbled on the cornerstone and they suffered the storm because of their falsehood. Notice again what Paul says.

22 Thus [unknown] tongues are meant for a [supernatural] sign, not for believers but for unbelievers [on the point of believing], while prophecy (inspired preaching and teaching, interpreting the divine will and purpose) is not for unbelievers [on the point of believing] but for believers.
Prophecy is not for unbelievers. Watch this carefully. If one rejects Jesus as Messiah and Lord, that one is a non-believer. If one is a non-believer, that one cannot be a prophet. There are many people from various religions who believe they are prophets, but if they reject Jesus Christ, they cannot be prophets. Prophecy is only for believers. Unknown or unacquired tongues are a sign for unbelievers. Why? Because it is a sign, and a first step in developing the gifts of the spirit. The Holy Spirit through unacquired languages gives us rest and refreshment. Once one has the Holy Spirit within, that one should be evidencing that dunamis with unknown languages. That is foundational for all other gifts of the spirit.
What if Thomas A. Anderson took the blue pill? Some people today would have you believe that those people who take the red pill are trouble makers, and they are causing divisions in the body of Christ. Blue pill people are welcome to stay where they are, yet they seem to want to spin others into their way of thinking. Why? Because once you become Neo, you become dangerous to the satan.
Isaiah also says that in the future when the Messiah comes the children will sanctify the Lord and fear the God of Israel.

Isaiah is signaling the Messiah here. When the Messiah comes people will change, they will turn to Him. His children who had been wanderers and complainers will follow Him. The heart, as we have studied has thoughts and intents. It has a rhythm or heart waves that others can sense and feel. In this context we are speaking of a scared heart, one who does not know how to keep his/her heart from fear. That heart is weak, without strength, impotent, and powerless. So the person with the feeble heart will now prosechō, hold the mind, pay attention, and give heed to the Messiah. Sometimes the rabbit trails we take bring fear into our hearts’ because we start to see what has always been yet didn’t understand. But Jesus! Knowing Him, trusting Him, and believing on Him will make one’s weak fearful heart steady. Jesus doesn’t erase our view of the evil, no more than Neo or Alice who both had to deal with evil. The stuttering or stammering tongues will quickly learn to speak peace. In both Isaiah 29 and 32 we should note that the ones speaking in unacquired languages will then learn to speak peace. These people already were speaking in unacquired languages. It was not a new thing in Isaiah’s time to speak in unacquired languages. Some blue pill people would like everyone to think that, but it is untrue. It was not a new thing on Pentecost. What was new was that the common people could receive unacquired languages as opposed to only prophets and Zedek’s.
After speaking in unacquired languages, the Holy Spirit will speak through them in a new way. If we look at Paul’s comparison of unknown tongues and prophecy we see that prophecy has some peaceful aspects, such as edification, exhortation, and comfort. This also tells us that the common people will prophesy as well. Paul then points out that unbelieving and unlearned people will hear unacquired languages and believe on Jesus as Lord.
Jesus told us of this time when anyone who believes on him would have dunamis, gifts of the spirit. Prior to this people had to be holy which was limiting because the only way to be cleansed from sin was sacrifices in the temple. Jesus accomplished our cleansing from sin, once, for all. The prophets and Zedek priesthood had the Holy Spirit before the day of Pentecost, but now common people could receive the Holy Spirit as well. Let’s dissect this.
