Why does Satanas need an army for the Day of the Lord? Why would he take human sperm to build his army? When we look at the numbers, we see that if the harpazo were to occur around our present day then close to two billion people would be taken off the earth. This is the event that starts the tribulation. As soon as two billion people leave, the earthly rulers start to jockey for position. If someone in the United States or Russia were left behind, it would look like only one in every four homes would be occupied. In other words, 75% would be taken from those two countries. Europe could see about 50% gone, while South America could see about 80% of its population gone. China is a bit of a mystery, they could lose around 30% of their people. The most concentrated regions of people who were not harpazo’d are from the Middle East. As the tribulation wears on for seven years there is continual population decrease. Let’s review our number story. These are round numbers, not exact numbers, but they give us an idea that if time were frozen today this is what we might see.

In the first part of the first three and one half years after the harpazo the earth’s population drops to 3.75 billion people. That is not many people. The predominate region populated on the earth at that time will be the Middle East.
By the time of the seventh trumpet, which is the half way point of the tribulation, there are only 2.5 billion people remaining on the earth. The seventh trumpet is when Jesus is coronated and the kingdoms of the world become the kingdoms of our Lord and Christ, and then he shall reign forever, Revelation 11.

The breakdown of who is on the earth may look something like this if the harpazo were to happen in our present time. There are 1.36 billion Sunni Muslims and 24 million Shia Muslims. There are 14 million Jews today as well.
The Sunni’s will overcome Babylon. Babylon will consist of Shia, Jews, and “other” people.

As we see, the population has decreased to the point where there is no way that the beast can fight the Lord and his armies from a numbers standpoint. The Jews will not fight against the Lord either as they are expecting his return. Therefore unless the beast can build an army to help fight Yahweh and his saints this is a total loss.

Isaiah gives us a bit of a plot twist, Yahweh comes back with giants as well as his saints. At this time the mystery was not revealed, and no one knew that the saints would have Christ in them and that they would be harpazo’d, made ready, and return with Jesus. Isaiah had a few glimpses of the mystery and notes two different groups on the Day of the Lord.
Isaiah tells us about the end of the tribulation, the Day of the Lord. His vision is against Babylon. The beast rises up to kill Babylon. The beast and his people take over all of Babylon’s land and commerce. Babylon is not only a city it is a system, it is the mothering harlot, it is the entire culture. Babylon is like a nursery that raises babies through to adults in her ways. Once Babylon and her system are destroyed by the beast, then the beast takes over the world. When the Lord comes he does not come alone, he brings his armies and another group with him, giants.

“Take up sign upon mountain plain, raise up your voice, not fear, to call the hand, open the archōn.”
Isaiah says to take up a sign upon the mountain plain, which means to raise an indication. This could be a banner in the physical or in the spiritual, it can be an indication of future events. In other words, go up the mountain and pray for a miracle. The mountain plain is like a butte or mesa, it is a flat top to a mountain, not a jagged rocky mountain top, but a flat topped plain. He says “raise up your voice”, or “call out to the Elohim”. He says not to fear, but to call for a hand. The word hand can be literal or it can mean “power”, as in call on the Elohim for power or ask the Elohim for a hand. He then says to “open up archōn”. He is not calling on local rulers to open something, he is calling on the heavenly princes of Babylon to open the heavens to earthly Babylon. In a nutshell, Isaiah says go up on the butte and yell out for help so that the archōn open the way into Babylon.
This idea alone is something that we can do today, we can call out for help from the Elohim to open the heavens. We have all felt the heavens to be like brass. Under Moses warnings of curses for disobedience, we see Yahweh telling the children of Jacob that if they do not listen to Yahweh Elohim and observe the commandments and statutes, then they will be cursed.
Deuteronomy 28:23 (Brenton) And thou shalt have over thine head a sky of brass, and the earth under thee shall be iron.
Isaiah is giving us a picture of warfare. Get out, put up a sign, call on the Elohim for help, and demand that the archōn open the gates of heaven over Babylon. Just as the prince of Persia resisted the one who looked like the Son of Man, the archōn are resisting the Lord again.
If one were to put a banner on a butte the other prayer warriors would see it and join in. David said something similar.

This was the cry of Jesus as he broke the gates of hell and took back the keys to death and hades. The evil archōn tried to keep Jesus Christ out.
This prayer is something we can pray today. We can call for help from heaven and demand the archōn to open the heavens. Demand the archōn open the gates of heaven and allow glory to come down. Daniel found this out after fasting for three weeks as we studied last week.
Now that the archōn have opened the gates of heaven into Babylon, Isaiah says that Yahweh of the angel armies is coming.

“I put in order together and I lead them, giants come to make complete my outburst of passion, rejoicing at the the same time and exercising violence.”
Giants mean “giants”. They come rejoicing because they are now out of the fifth heaven and they rejoice while being violent. The Grigori, the ones in the dark, came to earth following Satanail. The watchers came after the Grigori and are in the second heaven. The watchers are judged at the white throne judgment just before the new heaven and new earth is established. The Grigori are judged at the end of the Day of the Lord. This is their opportunity to make themselves right.

The sounds that the giants make is like the sound of many kings and their nations. Yahweh Sabaoth, Yahweh of the armies, gives orders to the nation of armed giants.

The giants come from the tips of heaven, the furthest extreme parts of heaven.

“Howl to the gods with a loud voice for Day of Lord at hand and crush from beside the Elohim have come.”
There will be a battle and a crushing on the Day of Yahweh.

“On account of this, all hands faint and all soul life manfaced fearful.”
All the earthly armies faint and all men become fearful. We can see why, the noise of the giant armies alone would strike fear in the hearts of the men aligned with the beast.

“And the ambassadors agitated and they have severe agony like woman bringing forth and they are working on it, another different towards the another different, and astonished and the throw over countenance like as flame”
While this sentence sounds clunky, the ambassadors are the leaders that are working for the beast. When the war starts on the Day of the Lord, the human armies faint and the leaders of the people double over as if giving birth because heteros, another of a different kind, shows up. Another different kind towards another different kind brings astonishment to the ambassadors and their countenance is overthrown to flames, meaning their faces turn red. The difference is the people of the beast who are human and the other different kind is the giants. The second different kind is part of the mystery, the saints. The human ambassadors writhe in pain and their faces turn red. Let’s understand that the beast kills Babylon and takes over her system. At this point there are no politicians, just the beast, the false prophet and Drakōn. The Day of the Lord comes after the world system is fully taken over by the beast. Two different kind of beings cause the ambassadors to writhe in pain, giants and saints. Both are different from humans.

The beast makes the harlot desolate, the harlot is a city and a system of leaders that had lordship over the whole earth. The Elohim put it in the heart of the beast to make her desolate, devour her flesh, and incinerate her with fire.

“For look Day Yahweh come incurable outburst of passion and violent passion to place the dwelling waste and fully destroy the sinners from out of her.”
When the Day of Yahweh comes it will be incurable. Everything will be dismantled and Yahweh will take his place as King of kings and Lord of lords.

The heavens and the earth will be made right, this is why the heavens shake and go dark.

“And the left behind will be more valued than the limitless gold and manfaced will be more valued than the stone from out of Ophir.”
The one left behind after the Day of Yahweh is kataleipō meaning “downward leave" or “downward left”. The one who withstands the tribulation without aligning with the beast will be more valuable than limitless gold and humans will be more valued than the stones of Ophir. The one left behind is good, unlike the fictional books that mixed up the timing of the harpazo. The kataleipō is at the end of the Day of the Lord when both Moses and Jesus told us that he would gather his people from the four corners of the heavens and earth. The key is that they have to survive the tribulation and remain unmarked by the beast.

At the end of the Day of Yahweh the ones left behind on the earth will be valued. Then he will gather all of his elect to Jerusalem, from the ends of heaven and earth to inherit their land during his millennial reign.

Jesus explains the same thing.

The Day of Yahweh brings a shaking in the heavens. The stars, the “angels”, will prostrate, bowing to the Lord. The angels will gather His chosen.

Jesus sums it up quite nicely. From the extremities of the heavens the chosen are gathered. Those faithful to Yahweh who have died are gathered with those who withstood the tribulation.

“And the left behind will be like gazelle taking flight and like sheep wandering about and is not the gather together so that manfaced turn away into his people and manfaced into his region flee.”
The ones left behind, kataleipō, the valuable manfaced, will start to wander. They will not understand what is happening. They will flee into their own region, meaning they may head back to Jerusalem.

Yahweh calls his people out of Babylon. Why are they in Babylon? Should they be conspiring with Babylon? Remember, at this time there are only two teams, the beast or Babylon. Yahweh’s people aligned with Babylon rather than the beast and false prophet. As soon as Babylon is destroyed Yahweh’s people start to wander. They are not captured, nor do they fall by the sword. After the beast kills Babylon, the Lord comes with His armies, giants and saints.

“For that one captured is defeated, and anyone gathered together are fallen down in a sword.”
Yahweh’s people are not captured or killed by the sword. Yahweh’s people are not only in physical Babylon they are also in Jerusalem. At that time some will be received and some will be sent away.

The word taken is paralambanō “meaning in the presence of receive”, or “receive from the presence of the Lord”. The word left is the word aphiēmi meaning “sent away”.

This is not the harpazo, it is the Day of the Lord. The ones “left” are sent away, the ones received are the ones on the earth who Isaiah says are more valuable than gold. They are gathered and received into the millennial kingdom.

The Medes and Persians did come upon Judah while they were in captivity, but the beast’s empire is considered the Medo-Persian empire, so this is still future as well.

The look of the earth at the time of the Day of Yahweh is a very different place than we see today. The number of humans has decreased significantly, yet demons need warm bodies. Archōn are still ruling the heavens above the earth, and the technological capabilities of humans will not be able to hold the Lord back. The giants get to go into Babylon to stop stop the beast’s tyrannical reign. The saints clean up the rest of the earth.

Babylon will become a deserted place and no humans will go there until the very end of the millennial kingdom. The millennial kingdom will be a time when Jesus will rule the world from Jerusalem. At the very end of his millennial rule, the satan will be loosed to gather an army and will try to come against Jesus and Jerusalem. However that army is quickly extinguished.

The reason that Satanas wants to create bodies is for his demons, so that they can fight for him. The human population will be so low that he has no other choice. He will also need beings to support the archōn who are keeping a lid on the earth. The archōn are to open the heavens, but the satan will try to stop the Lord’s armies in the heavens. But like Gideon’s army, Yahweh doesn’t need a lot of people, he will be victorious no matter how large an army comes against him, his giants, and the saints. We can call out for the archōn to open the heavens. We can rally other Christians to do the same. It may be that the tide of the earths affairs will shift if we lend support through warfare prayers to the heavens.
