Blood; Nimrod’s World System; An Age Without Yahweh; Jesus’ Flesh and Blood

Babylon is called the Mother of Harlots. When we studied this previously, we recognized that Babylon is an emporium, a merchandise outlet. Trafficking and merchandising are a feminine word while traffickers, buyers, and sellers, is a masculine word. More than Babylon being a superstore is also the idea that Babylon mothers people, as in a nursery. She births people and nurtures them in her own system apart from Yahweh. The mystery is that we all grow up this way and have to fight our way to Yahweh. As we look back at the early days of humanity after the flood, we will see it did not take long for people to be turned away from Yahweh. Babylon, in context, is the region, not a specific city. We will see by looking at history the foundations of the society we live in. We will also note that from three different records we have a stern warning regarding blood. We have studied blood rites, and trafficking in the past. I will note those studies here.

We see the first clothing as a covering for sin in Genesis 3:21. The adam and his wife were given tunics of animal hide to wear. This is also the first recorded sacrifice for sin; innocent blood, shed, to cover the sin of the adam.  The first recorded murder and death in the Bible is that of Abel. Abel was the first person to die. No one had ever died before. This shedding of blood by another person caused Cain to be cursed for what he did. We are created in the image and likeness of our Creator. Therefore mankind is a sacred representation of the Creator. But mankind is not holy in and of himself. As we attempt to better understand the many tentacles of Babylon, we want to put into perspective the shedding of innocent blood, because after the flood Noah gave his sons some very specific instructions regarding bloodshed. We may not be aware of Noah’s warning, but oddly, people today have recently started promoting the drinking of the blood of children for health reasons. Who might be behind such a practice which is in direct opposition to the direction of the Creator? Hemochromatosis occurs when we cannot metabolize large amounts of iron properly, affecting our vital organs. Because blood contains large amounts of iron, humans should not drink blood. Certainly we can clear up the science related contraindications in this day and age. So this is one reason why people were told not to drink blood.

While this practice starts to make a revival among cultists as they publicly push their ideas into society, there are many other occult practices that came out of Babylon such as divining. The explosion of these intentional distortions keeps us guessing. We tend to look for “either or” but we need to remember “both and”. Blood rituals, sexual perversions, idolatry, and the like, all had their origin in Babylon. Let’s explore.

Jubilees 7:20  And in the twenty-eighth jubilee Noah began to enjoin upon his sons' sons the ordinances and commandments, and all the judgments that he knew, and he exhorted his sons to observe righteousness, and to cover the shame of their flesh, and to bless their Creator, and honour father and mother, and love their neighbour, and guard their souls from fornication and uncleanness and all iniquity.

Noah tells his sons three things: observe righteousness; bless the Creator; guard their souls from fornication, uncleanness, and all iniquity. We are to bless the Creator, not tamper with His created beings. No one can be righteous in and of himself, one needs the Creator to know what righteousness is. Blessing the Creator is worshipping the Creator, rather than created beings. This is why the flood came upon the earth.

Jubilees 7:21. For owing to these three things came the flood upon the earth, namely, owing to the fornication wherein the Watchers against the law of their ordinances went a whoring after the daughters of men, and took themselves wives of all which they chose: and they made the beginning of uncleanness. 22. And they begat sons the Nâphîdîm, and †they were all unlike†, and they devoured one another: and the Giants slew the Nâphîl, and the Nâphîl slew the Eljô, and the Eljô mankind, and one man another. 23. And every one sold himself to work iniquity and to shed much blood, and the earth was filled with iniquity. 24. And after this they sinned against the beasts and birds, and all that moveth and walketh on the earth: and much blood was shed on the earth, and every imagination and desire of men imagined vanity and evil continually. 25. And the Lord destroyed everything from off the face of the earth; because of the wickedness of their deeds, and because of the blood which they had shed in the midst of the earth He destroyed everything.

Now that we understand the former age we can learn about the present age. Noah goes on:

Jubilees 7:26. "And we were left, I and you, my sons, and everything that entered with us into the ark, and behold I see your works before me that ye do not walk in righteousness; for in the path of destruction ye have begun to walk, and ye are parting one from another, and are envious one of another, and (so it cometh) that ye are not in harmony, my sons, each with his brother.

People were to be in harmony, but after the flood Noah’s sons and grandsons were not in harmony, they were not walking in righteousness.

Jubilees 7:27. For I see, and behold the demons have begun (their) seductions against you and against your children, and now I fear on your behalf, that after my death ye will shed the blood of men upon the earth, and that ye, too, will be destroyed from the face of the earth. 28. For whoso sheddeth man's blood, and whoso eateth the blood of any flesh, will all be destroyed from the earth. 29. And there will not be left any man that eateth blood. Or that sheddeth the blood of man on the earth, Nor will there be left to him any seed or descendants living under heaven; For into Sheol will they go, And into the place of condemnation will they descend.  And into the darkness of the deep will they all be removed by a violent death. 30. There shall be no blood seen upon you of all the blood there shall be all the days in which ye have killed any beasts or cattle or whatever flieth upon the earth, and work ye a good work to your souls by covering that which hath been shed on the face of the earth. 31. And ye shall not be like him who eateth with blood, but guard yourselves that none may eat blood before you: cover the blood, for thus have I been commanded to testify to you and your children, together with all flesh. 32. And suffer not the soul to be eaten with the flesh, that your blood, which is your life, may not be required at the hand of any flesh that sheddeth (it) on the earth. 33. For the earth will not be clean from the blood which hath been shed upon it; for (only) through the blood of him that shed it will the earth be purified throughout all its generations.

Noah feared that after his death they would shed the blood of men on the earth and they would also eat blood from any flesh. Also, Noah did not want people to eat blood in front of them. What this tells us is that the Creator considers anyone who eats blood defiled and will end up in sheol. This is so strongly emphasized we have to pay attention. We know that Genesis tells us not to eat flesh with blood in it.

Genesis 9:4-6 (AMP)
4  But you shall not eat flesh with the life of it, which is its blood.
5  And surely for your lifeblood I will require an accounting; from every beast I will require it; and from man, from every man [who spills another's lifeblood] I will require a reckoning.
6  Whoever sheds man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed; for in the image of God He made man.

Yahweh requires an account of men and beasts who shed blood. Like the adam, innocent blood was shed to cover the sins of the first man and women. This is why there was a need for innocent blood to cover the heirs of Jacob in Egypt so that the devourer would pass over them. A young lamb without blemish was the sacrifice so as to cover the people from the devouring angel. Life has to be given for life.

Exodus 12:7 (AMP)
7  They shall take of the blood and put it on the two side posts and on the lintel [above the door space] of the houses in which they shall eat [the Passover lamb].

Jesus then tells his disciples during his last passover that His blood is the blood of the new covenant. Jesus’ blood covers sin, no longer is the blood of animals a covering for sin. Likewise, there is no other blood capable or required to cleanse from sin; not the blood of a person, a child, a virgin, or an animal. If one rejects the new covenant then that one dies in his/her own sins. There is no temple for blood atonement.

Matthew 26:28 (AMP)
28  For this is My blood of the new covenant, which [ratifies the agreement and] is being poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.

We all have the choice to either die in our sins or appropriate the blood offering of Jesus by verbally confessing Him as Lord and Savior. The writer of Hebrews defines this further.

Hebrews 9:13-15 (AMP)
13  For if [the mere] sprinkling of unholy and defiled persons with blood of goats and bulls and with the ashes of a burnt heifer is sufficient for the purification of the body,
14  How much more surely shall the blood of Christ, Who by virtue of [His] eternal Spirit [His own preexistent divine personality] has offered Himself as an unblemished sacrifice to God, purify our consciences from dead works and lifeless observances to serve the [ever] living God?
15  [Christ, the Messiah] is therefore the Negotiator and Mediator of an [entirely] new agreement (testament, covenant), so that those who are called and offered it may receive the fulfillment of the promised everlasting inheritance—since a death has taken place which rescues and delivers and redeems them from the transgressions committed under the [old] first agreement.

A death has taken place which rescues, delivers, and redeems us from transgressions committed under the old first agreement. Jesus’s blood atones for our sin. Therefore we are not to eat the blood of any flesh. Jesus’ innocent blood cleanses us and purchases us, Revelation 1:5, 5:9.
All people can have redemption through Jesus’ blood. With that in mind we see why the satan must twist the issue of blood into such a crazy mess. Jesus’ blood is holy since he was sinless. Notice what Jesus says in the synagogue in Capernaum.

John 6:47-59 (AMP)
47  I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, he who believes in Me [who adheres to, trusts in, relies on, and has faith in Me] has (now possesses) eternal life.
48  I am the Bread of Life [that gives life—the Living Bread].
49  Your forefathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and [yet] they died.
50  [But] this is the Bread that comes down from heaven, so that [any]one may eat of it and never die.
51  I [Myself] am this Living Bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this Bread, he will live forever; and also the Bread that I shall give for the life of the world is My flesh (body).
52  Then the Jews angrily contended with one another, saying, How is He able to give us His flesh to eat?
53  And Jesus said to them, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, you cannot have any life in you unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood [unless you appropriate His life and the saving merit of His blood].
54  He who feeds on My flesh and drinks My blood has (possesses now) eternal life, and I will raise him up [from the dead] on the last day.
55  For My flesh is true and genuine food, and My blood is true and genuine drink.
56  He who feeds on My flesh and drinks My blood dwells continually in Me, and I [in like manner dwell continually] in him.
57  Just as the living Father sent Me and I live by (through, because of) the Father, even so whoever continues to feed on Me [whoever takes Me for his food and is nourished by Me] shall [in his turn] live through and because of Me.
58  This is the Bread that came down from heaven. It is not like the manna which our forefathers ate, and yet died; he who takes this Bread for his food shall live forever.
59  He said these things in a synagogue while He was teaching at Capernaum.

Reading this in context, Jesus says whoever believes and trusts in Him has eternal life. Believing in, relying on, and trusting in Him, is bread, it’s our food. He is the food that came down from  heaven. Jesus then says something strange, he talks about eating his flesh and drinking his blood. Why do you suppose he said that? Were people eating flesh with blood in it? Jesus considers feeding on Him as believing, trusting, and relying on him. However it may very well be that the culture believed eating certain flesh and blood would give one health benefits. This is why Jesus compares himself to the manna, if we feed on Jesus we have eternal life. Jesus does not say things as randomly as we might think.

Notice what the Jews of the synagogue in Capernaum said, “How is He able to give us His flesh to eat?” They didn’t say ‘we are not allowed to eat human flesh or drink blood’, instead they argued among themselves. They didn’t ask Jesus how he was going to give them his flesh either. Why would they talk about it among themselves when Jesus was standing right there? Why not simply as Jesus?

When we observe the people after the flood we find that Ham and his sons were the ones who seemed to have the most evil recorded about them. Remember what happened regarding Ham and Noah which caused Noah to curse Ham’s fourth born son Canaan? Some speculate that Ham castrated Noah so that Noah would not bear a fourth son or heir, to also inherit the earth, which is why Ham’s fourth son was cursed. Ham also stole something from Noah, and give it to his first born son Cush.

7:23 And Cush the son of Ham, the son of Noah, took a wife in those days in his old age, and she bare a son, and they called his name Nimrod, saying, At that time the sons of men again began to rebel and transgress against God, and the child grew up, and his father loved him exceedingly, for he was the son of his old age.
24 And the garments of skin which God made for Adam and his wife, when they went out of the garden, were given to Cush.
25 For after the death of Adam and his wife, the garments were given to Enoch, the son of Jared, and when Enoch was taken up to God, he gave them to Methuselah, his son.
26 And at the death of Methuselah, Noah took them and brought them to the ark, and they were with him until he went out of the ark.
27 And in their going out, Ham stole those garments from Noah his father, and he took them and hid them from his brothers.
28 And when Ham begat his first born Cush, he gave him the garments in secret, and they were with Cush many days.
29 And Cush also concealed them from his sons and brothers, and when Cush had begotten Nimrod, he gave him those garments through his love for him, and Nimrod grew up, and when he was twenty years old he put on those garments.

Ham stole the adam’s garments and gave them to Cush who gave them to Nimrod. So the original covering for the adam’s sin was stolen and given to Nimrod who then became strong when he put them on. Now whether he really did become strong or he simply felt “special” thereby leading to an emotional response making him less fearful, we do not know. But the animals that were used to make these garments were the first animals ever sacrificed for the sins of man. God gave him might and strength. That sounds strange, but at this point in his life Nimrod was a believer and follower of Yahweh.

Jasher 7:30 And Nimrod became strong when he put on the garments, and God gave him might and strength, and he was a mighty hunter in the earth, yea, he was a mighty hunter in the field, and he hunted the animals and he built altars, and he offered upon them the animals before the Lord.
31 And Nimrod strengthened himself, and he rose up from amongst his brethren, and he fought the battles of his brethren against all their enemies round about.
32 And the Lord delivered all the enemies of his brethren in his hands, and God prospered him from time to time in his battles, and he reigned upon earth.
33 Therefore it became current in those days, when a man ushered forth those that he had trained up for battle, he would say to them, Like God did to Nimrod, who was a mighty hunter in the earth, and who succeeded in the battles that prevailed against his brethren, that he delivered them from the hands of their enemies, so may God strengthen us and deliver us this day.

Nimrod sacrificed animals to Yahweh. He was a follower of Yahweh. There were battles and wars between the sons of Noah. Somehow, just as Noah had mentioned, demons were seducing people to fight against each other. Twenty years from the time that Nimrod put on the garments of the adam, he hired people to fight, and made a motivating speech to his army.

Jasher 7:34 And when Nimrod was forty years old, at that time there was a war between his brethren and the children of Japheth, so that they were in the power of their enemies.
35 And Nimrod went forth at that time, and he assembled all the sons of Cush and their families, about four hundred and sixty men, and he hired also from some of his friends and acquaintances about eighty men, and be gave them their hire, and he went with them to battle, and when he was on the road, Nimrod strengthened the hearts of the people that went with him.
36 And he said to them, Do not fear, neither be alarmed, for all our enemies will be delivered into our hands, and you may do with them as you please.37 And all the men that went were about five hundred, and they fought against their enemies, and they destroyed them, and subdued them, and Nimrod placed standing officers over them in their respective places.
38 And he took some of their children as security, and they were all servants to Nimrod and to his brethren, and Nimrod and all the people that were with him turned homeward.
39 And when Nimrod had joyfully returned from battle, after having conquered his enemies, all his brethren, together with those who knew him before, assembled to make him king over them, and they placed the regal crown upon his head.
40 And he set over his subjects and people, princes, judges, and rulers, as is the custom amongst kings.

For twenty years Nimrod was a great hunter and warrior. He gathered people to fight. He also hired people to fight. He motivated people with positive words and promises of having their way with the people they captured. Nimrod created a hierarchy of warriors, he made an army. He then took the children of Japheth as security, making them servants.  Nimrod did a lot of things that were firsts in his time therefore the people made him a king over them. Nimrod then set up a system of governance over the people. As we read from Josephus a few weeks ago, we can see why the people did not want to move away from this area where Nimrod was king, they felt protected and secure. There was a military and a government.

This is the start of the Babylon Emporium. The kingdom will take care of your needs. The kingdom will educate you and your children. The kingdom will protect you. This was the start of turning people away from Yahweh to follow a man who wore old animal skins. After twenty years as a regular man, Nimrod was elevated by men, and Nimrod believed his own press. Let’s remind ourselves of what Josephus told us.

Antiquities of the Jews 1:4:1 But they were so ill instructed that they did not obey God; for which reason they fell into calamities, and were made sensible, by experience, of what sin they had been guilty: for when they flourished with a numerous youth, God admonished them again to send out colonies; but they, imagining the prosperity they enjoyed was not derived from the favor of God, but supposing that their own power was the proper cause of the plentiful condition they were in, did not obey him. Nay, they added to this their disobedience to the Divine will, the suspicion that they were therefore ordered to send out separate colonies, that, being divided asunder, they might the more easily be Oppressed.
1:4:2.  Now it was Nimrod who excited them to such an affront and contempt of God. He was the grandson of Ham, the son of Noah, a bold man, and of great strength of hand. He persuaded them not to ascribe it to God, as if it was through his means they were happy, but to believe that it was their own courage which procured that happiness. He also gradually changed the government into tyranny, seeing no other way of turning men from the fear of God, but to bring them into a constant dependence on his power.
The Works of Flavius Josephus.

Antiquities 1:4:3.  Now the multitude were very ready to follow the determination of Nimrod, and to esteem it a piece of cowardice to submit to God;…
The Works of Flavius Josephus.

Antiquities 1:6:2 …but Nimrod, the son of Chus, staid and tyrannized at Babylon, as we have already informed you.
The Works of Flavius Josephus.

Nimrod put himself between Yahweh and the people, not as a spokesperson, but as a barrier. He then tyrannized people and made it socially unacceptable to look to Yahweh, or praise Yahweh. Nimrod was the first exporter of tyranny. By his example he taught others to rise up over people and dominate them. Then taught them to turn people away from Yahweh, and focus on themselves or other dumb idols. Meanwhile, as Nimrod did that, demons led people further away from Yahweh by enticing them to do other evil things.

As we move forward in time, we have several more details to consider. People were still going to war with each other, and they were shedding one another’s blood. They started eating blood as well.

XI. And in the thirty-fifth jubilee, in the third week, in the first year thereof, Reu took to himself a wife, and her name was ’Ôrâ, the daughter of ’Ûr, the son of Kêsêd, and she bare him a son, and he called his name Sêrôḫ, in the seventh year of this week in this jubilee. 2 And the sons of Noah began to war on each other, to take captive and to slay each other, and to shed the blood of men on the earth, and to eat blood,…

Noah told them not to eat blood, but somehow the culture started changing to make this a common practice. We want to remember here that demons do not have blood, they are spirit beings, they have no flesh. Enticing someone to eat blood is in direct contradiction to what Noah said. Those who do this will not inherit the earth. Why would demons seduce humans into this practice? Because humans are made in the image of the Elohim, the Creator. Blood is a unique thing to humans and animals, as the other sons of God do not have blood and the life of our flesh is in our blood. Our flesh has life because of our blood.

Leviticus 17:10-14 (AMP)
10  Any one of the house of Israel or of the strangers who dwell temporarily among them who eats any kind of blood, against that person I will set My face and I will cut him off from among his people [that he may not be included in the atonement made for them].
11  For the life (the animal soul) is in the blood, and I have given it for you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement, by reason of the life [which it represents].
12  Therefore I have said to the Israelites, No person among you shall eat blood, neither shall any stranger who dwells temporarily among you eat blood.
13  And any of the Israelites or of the strangers who sojourn among them who takes in hunting any clean beast or bird shall pour out its blood and cover it with dust.
14  As for the life of all flesh, the blood of it represents the life of it; therefore I said to the Israelites, You shall partake of the blood of no kind of flesh, for the life of all flesh is its blood. Whoever eats of it shall be cut off.

In short, what demons are doing is causing people to kill one another, then causing many to curse themselves by eating blood. This is one aspect of the Babylon mystery, enticing men to defy Yahweh, and then enticing men to put a curse upon themselves. This is the spiritual nature of Babylon; do evil, then go further and curse your own self. This is what Cain did.

People then built cities and certain individuals started to exalt themselves over and above all others. They started making weapons and fighting to overcome other cities. Then they started doing something else, they started selling male and female slaves.

Jubilees 11:2……and to build strong cities, and walls, and towers, and individuals (began) to exalt themselves above the nation, and to found the beginnings of kingdoms, and to go to war people against people, and nation against nation, and city against city, and all (began) to do evil, and to acquire arms, and to teach their sons war, and they began to capture cities, and to sell male and female slaves.

Nimrod took slaves as an insurance policy, but now the practice of making slaves of the enemy has expanded. These slaves were not simply cleaning house and cooking meals, they were used sexually as well. Human trafficking. Humans learned to dominate one another, making slaves of their enemies. Slaves have no rights and no freedoms. We see later under the laws that Moses was given that slaves were to have some rights and to be freed after a period of time, but durning this age, this was not the case.

We see the satan, also called prince Mastema, sending out demons to cause men to sin. This is the age Abraham’s father was born. The time on the earth when people had turned away from Yahweh.

Jubilees 11:3. And ’Ûr, the son of Kêsêd, built the city of ’Arâ of the Chaldees, and called its name after his own name and the name of his father. 4. And they made for themselves molten images, and they worshipped each the idol, the molten image which they had made for themselves, and they began to make graven images and unclean simulacra, and malignant spirits assisted and seduced (them) into committing transgression and uncleanness. 5. And the prince Mastêmâ exerted himself to do all this, and he sent forth other spirits, those which were put under his hand, to do all manner of wrong and sin, and all manner of transgression, to corrupt and destroy, and to shed blood upon the earth. 6. For this reason he called the name of Sêrôḫ, Serug, for every one turned to do all manner of sin and transgression. 7. And he grew up, and dwelt in Ur of the Chaldees, near to the father of his wife's mother, and he worshipped idols, and he took to himself a wife in the thirty-sixth jubilee, in the fifth week, in the first year thereof, and her name was Mêlkâ, the daughter of Kâbêr, the daughter of his father's brother. 8. And she bare him Nahor, in the first year of this week, and he grew and dwelt in Ur of the Chaldees, and his father taught him the researches of the Chaldees to divine and augur, according to the signs of heaven. 9. And in the thirty-seventh jubilee, in the sixth week, in the first year thereof, he took to himself a wife, and her name was ’Îjâskâ, the daughter of Nêstâg of the Chaldees. 10. And she bare him Terah in the seventh year of this week.

Terah’s father was named Nahor. Nahor’s father taught him to divine which, in his case, was to use the signs in the heavens to foretell or prophesy. Nahor also was taught as an augur which is someone who watches birds and foretells or prophecies according to how the birds fly, how many there are, and what sounds they make when they fly. This is something the people of the area of Chaldees did. Terah had three sons, his eldest was Haran, his second named Nahor after his own father, and Abram, named after his wife’s father. Terah grew up in a time when growing food was difficult. Because people turned away from Yahweh, the satan had the right to harm people.

Jubilees 11:11. And the prince Mastêmâ sent ravens and birds to devour the seed which was sown in the land, in order to destroy the land, and rob the children of men of their labours. Before they could plough in the seed, the ravens picked (it) from the surface of the ground. 12. And for this reason he called his name Terah, because the ravens and the birds reduced them to destitution and devoured their seed. 13. And the years began to be barren, owing to the birds, and they devoured all the fruit of the trees from the trees: it was only with great effort that they could save a little of all the fruit of the earth in their days. 14. And in this thirty-ninth jubilee, in the second week in the first year, Terah took to himself a wife, and her name was ’Êdnâ, the daughter of ’Abrâm the daughter of his father’s sister. 15. And in the seventh year of this week she bare him a son, and he called his name Abram, by the name of the father of his mother; for he had died before his daughter had conceived a son.

Edna’s father was named Abram, and that is what she named her son. As we know, Abram’s name was later changed to Abraham by Yahweh. It seems like such a sad time in the history of the world to be without Yahweh.  Nimrod made Terah a prince in his kingdom.

Jasher 7:41 And he placed Terah the son of Nahor the prince of his host, and he dignified him and elevated him above all his princes.
42 And whilst he was reigning according to his heart's desire, after having conquered all his enemies around, he advised with his counselors to build a city for his palace, and they did so.
43 And they found a large valley opposite to the east, and they built him a large and extensive city, and Nimrod called the name of the city that he built Shinar, for the Lord had vehemently shaken his enemies and destroyed them.
44 And Nimrod dwelt in Shinar, and he reigned securely, and he fought with his enemies and he subdued them, and he prospered in all his battles, and his kingdom became very great.
45 And all nations and tongues heard of his fame, and they gathered themselves to him, and they bowed down to the earth, and they brought him offerings, and he became their lord and king, and they all dwelt with him in the city at Shinar, and Nimrod reigned in the earth over all the sons of Noah, and they were all under his power and counsel.
46 And all the earth was of one tongue and words of union, but Nimrod did not go in the ways of the Lord, and he was more wicked than all the men that were before him, from the days of the flood until those days.
47 And he made gods of wood and stone, and he bowed down to them, and he rebelled against the Lord, and taught all his subjects and the people of the earth his wicked ways; and Mardon his son was more wicked than his father.
48 And every one that heard of the acts of Mardon the son of Nimrod would say, concerning him, From the wicked goeth forth wickedness; therefore it became a proverb in the whole earth, saying, From the wicked goeth forth wickedness, and it was current in the words of men from that time to this.

Mardon was the son of Nimrod. As the saying goes, the acorn does not fall far from the tree. The people of the region exported stories and lore of various gods and demi-gods. A few of the names of these gods are: Tiamat, Enlil, Enki (Ea), Marduk, Ishtar (Inanna), Shamash (Utu), Nisaba, Ashur, and Ninkasi. In Hebrew Merodach is the name Marduk. It is possible that Nimrod also started the distortion of the worship of kings as gods, as we see that the people in verse 45 bowed to Nimrod and brought offerings to him. Now imagine if Nimrod is being worshipped and he has a son who is just as evil as he is. Abraham’s father was a prince of Nimrod’s host.

Jasher 7:49 And Terah the son of Nahor, prince of Nimrod's host, was in those days very great in the sight of the king and his subjects, and the king and princes loved him, and they elevated him very high.
50 And Terah took a wife and her name was Amthelo the daughter of Cornebo; and the wife of Terah conceived and bare him a son in those days.
51 Terah was seventy years old when he begat him, and Terah called the name of his son that was born to him Abram, because the king had raised him in those days, and dignified him above all his princes that were with him.

Abraham was Terah’s third son. Terah was in a high position among men and no one was worshipping Yahweh. The region was a booming metropolis with Nimrod in charge of many people. As the people were tyrannized away from Yahweh to worship a man, many defiled practices entered into the region. Babylon became an exporter of all types of defilement. Nimrod paid people for an army, promising that they could do what they want with the enemy. Today, some people still believe that this is their right. Nimrod made people slaves, and many cultures and religions look at other people as slaves; children or adult sex trafficking slaves. Nimrod formed a military and started a government hierarchy. He allowed the worship of kings and other men while exporting tales of gods and demi-gods. Nimrod erased the Creator from the culture. People then disrespected life by shedding blood and conquering others, as well as eating the blood of flesh. Occultic blood rituals and blood rites have always been a hidden practice among some people. It does seem as if Jesus mentioned eating his flesh and drinking his blood as not only a figure of speech, but a correction to a practice which may have been hidden in the shadows. Today occultists are testing the waters in society of this secret ritual. There truly is nothing new under the sun.
