There are many “inclusive” styled ministries who tell their congregations that everyone goes through the pearly gates into heaven. They say that everyone gets saved, and that there is no hell. But we can clearly see that the Bible never says that. It does say that one day there will be no more death and hell because they will be thrown into the lake of fire. But those who have died and are in hell and who were not written in the Lamb’s book of life will also end up in the lake of fire. In fact, the Bible tells us of consequence after consequence for our own actions or behaviors. Sometimes people fall prey to a smart talking well dressed individual who makes arguments for things not written in the Bible. It is simply human reasoning that is spurred on by the enemy of humanity. We cannot attempt to think above God’s word or beyond God’s word because we are finite, and He is infinite. With that in mind, there will be a new heaven and a new earth. The foundation is built on the apostles and prophets, and Jesus is the chief cornerstone. There will also be a new city, Jerusalem, which will come down out of heaven. Jesus tells us that there will be some people who will not enter this new city. We also see the size of the city, and a few interesting details of the city. We will also notice the particular shape of the city. There will be living water crystals as compared to obtuse water crystals, and modern science explains this further. Also there will be a healing tree of life.
Jesus is sitting on the throne and he is speaking to John. He just told us that the ones who overcome inherit this new city. Now he will tell us who does not inherit this new city. We will look at these words one at a time as that will give us a clearer understanding of what Jesus is saying regarding behavior.
Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

δειλός
deilos di-los' From δέος deos (dread); timid, that is, (by implication) faithless KJV Usage: fearful.
When we look at the greek word that is translated “timid”, it almost does not translate very well. It is better understood as “fearful and cowardly”. While that does not seem like a big sin, it actually is. Deuteronomy 20:8 helps us understand that the one who is cowardly in heart is to leave so as not to make others fearful. Since our whole world system is based on fear, from fear of not using the right toothpaste to fear of death, we have not lived any other way. Jesus asks the disciples why they are timid, Matthew 8:26. Jesus then rebukes the wind and the sea. The way we are supposed to live is in boldness and authority. We are not to fear. No matter what evil men do, we should not be afraid.

apistos ap'-is-tos From G1 (as a negative particle) and G4103; (actively) disbelieving, that is, without Christian faith (specifically a heathen); (passively) untrustworthy (person), or incredible (thing) KJV Usage: that believeth not, faithless, incredible thing, infidel, unbeliever (-ing).
Jesus scolded the generation as an unbelieving and perverted (diastrephō, distorted or corrupt) generation. In other words the generation was twisted and faithless. Jesus did not scold the disciples. The disciples asked why they could not cast a demon out of a boy, Jesus told them it was due to their unbelief, Matthew 17:17 & 20. Jesus explains that all you need is a small amount of faith/belief, yet that kind (genos, race or offspring) does not come forth except in prayer (proseuchē) and fasting (as in the day of atonement). It seems confusing, but the Father of the boy held some responsibility as he was a part of the unbelieving and perverted generation. He probably was not taking the day of atonement seriously and had been twisted away from faith. Not just the boy’s father but the entire generation. The entire generation forsook Yahweh.
Paul also uses this word apistos, in reference to how ridiculous it is for the people of the body of Christ to take each other to court, having matters settled by unbelievers, I Corinthians 6:6. Paul also says prophecy is not for the unbelievers, I Corinthians 14:22. There are simply going to be people who refuse to believe. They will not be in the New Jerusalem.

These are intentionally evil people.

The person who is bdelussō, stinks. There are simply people who are foul, or abhorrent, repugnant, and loathsome. Ahab was this type of person, one who sold himself to do wicked things as Jezebel perverted him. Literally Ahab changed sides or deserted Yahweh, I Kings 21:25-26. Politicians do this quite often, even though we may think they belong to one party, they secretly change sides and work for the other party. This is abominable behavior in reference to Yahweh. Some people may look like they advocate for Yahweh, but in reality they are workers for the satan. If we read the letters to the seven churches as dictated by Jesus to John, we will see this within the church.

This word for murderer, is a broad definition used of individuals, not military people or assassins. This is an individual who does not control his own behaviors. The Lord set up cities of refuge for murderers, Joshua 20:6. The murderer was to stand before the congregation for judgment in the city of refuge and not return to his own city until the High Priest died. That was the ideal condition, but this practice did not last long. In fact Stephen calls the religious leaders murderers because their fathers persecuted the prophets. Peter reminds the people that they wanted a murderer to be freed instead of Jesus. The idea here, in the context of Revelation, is intentional murder.

Fornicators are male prostitutes. At one time there were many male prostitutes in Israel within the temple. There were booths set up for them; they were also called sodomites. At some point after the kingdom split, male prostitution became a practice within the temple. Hezekiah and Josiah both spent a lot of time trying to clean up the temple, but this type of defilement always came back. In the context of the temple this should never have happened. In the context of society this still should not happen. No one should sell themselves to another for the fulfillment of lust. Every individual is created in the image of the Elohim. The body, soul, and spirit of an individual becomes contaminated with evil when we allow another person to use us in this manner. Also within this context in modern times is someone who pays for sex and uses others for his own gratification.

As we can see, our English word pharmacy or pharmacist is derived from this word pharmakos. These are people who administer potions, but they are not apothecaries. These potions are mind altering or body altering as compared to healing. This is translated as “dealers in potions”, which tells us that there is probably money to be made as a pharmakos. If we think back to our study of Babylon and what Nimrod did, we remember that Nimrod made it a public humiliation to rely on God. Even today it is not culturally acceptable to rely on God for healing. In the same way we have sorcerers who take the place of God when it comes to our bodies. Think along the lines of vaccines and flu shots, which we are publicly told are to help us not get sick, but instead the very contents are full of ingredients that make humans sick. Not to mention the addition of foreign human and animal DNA to cultivate the virus. What was the sin that brought the flood on the earth? The mixing of DNA, angel, human, and animal. This is more than using herbs or medications, but drugs for prophet as well as drugs for recreation. These people make money by selling drugs. God however gave us plants and herbs for our health, without charge; yet now someone charges us for these things. The new city will have a tree dedicated for the healing of the nations.

eidōlolatrēs i-do-lol-at'-race From G1497 and the base of G3000; an image (servant or) worshipper (literally or figuratively) KJV Usage: idolater.
People who worship false gods are called idolaters. If we consider that men are called elohim (or gods), as well as angels, demons, the devil, the Heavenly Father, the Holy Spirit, and Jesus Christ, it can be a bit confusing. The idea of worshiping anything less than the Father or the Son is the understanding of eidōlolatrēs. Think in terms of the Creator. Demons may have some power, but they cannot create, neither can the satan. Angels have great power, but they do not create. The idea of being focused or consumed by something is also eidōlolatrēs, such as money or power. Anyone who puts any being or any thing before the Creator is an eidōlolatrēs. The Creator comes first in all things.

pseudēs psyoo-dace' From G5574; untrue, that is, erroneous, deceitful, wicked KJV Usage: false, liar.
Someone who is a pseudēs is a liar. We get our word and prefix pseudo from this word. Moses told us not to be a false or lying witness. This word also includes anything false like cheaters or people with false visions or prophecies. A pseudēs is someone who pretends in a deceitful way. There are pseudo pastors, pseudo prophets, and pseudo teachers in the church as well as pseudo public servants, pseudo patriots, and pseudo political leaders. A pseudo does not have the interests of others in mind but an interest in what they can gain for themselves.
These types of people will all be in the lake of consuming fire and sulphur which is the second death. They do not enter the New Jerusalem. These are people who intentionally lived in this way. We see so much abhorrent behavior today and we long for the time when this will be fixed. This Book of Revelation is a warning for all people. We can trust Jesus. He will have the final say, and whoever is not written in the Lambs book of life will not enter the new city.
Ezra says a few things worth noting. He talks about how the righteous have always prayed for the ungodly. But wickedness and corruption has increased. The angel assures Ezra that this present life is not the end.
2 Esdras 7:41-45 (KJVApocrypha)
41 Even so now, seeing corruption is grown up, and wickedness increased, and the righteous have prayed for the ungodly: wherefore shall it not be so now also?
42 He answered me, and said, This present life is not the end where much glory doth abide; therefore have they prayed for the weak.
43 But the day of doom shall be the end of this time, and the beginning of the immortality for to come, wherein corruption is past,
44 Intemperance is at an end, infidelity is cut off, righteousness is grown, and truth is sprung up.
45 Then shall no man be able to save him that is destroyed, nor to oppress him that hath gotten the victory.
The day of doom is the end of this age and the beginning of immortality. Righteousness is grown. Jesus wants a clean bride, not a corrupted bride. We all must grow in righteousness. At the time of the new age of immortality there will not be anyone who can change the outcome of one’s destiny. Praying for the wicked will not help the destiny of the wicked, nor will an evil person be able to oppress the overcomer. The angel goes on to say that this is the condition of the battle man is born into.
2 Esdras 7:57-70 (KJVApocrypha)
57 Then answered he me, and said, This is the condition of the battle, which man that is born upon the earth shall fight;
58 That, if he be overcome, he shall suffer as thou hast said: but if he get the victory, he shall receive the thing that I say.
59 For this is the life whereof Moses spake unto the people while he lived, saying, Choose thee life, that thou mayest live.
60 Nevertheless they believed not him, nor yet the prophets after him, no nor me which have spoken unto them,
61 That there should not be such heaviness in their destruction, as shall be joy over them that are persuaded to salvation.
Because people did not believe Moses the prophets, or this angel, there should not be any sadness over the destruction of the corrupted. Simply put, if you know someone who enjoys their life apart from Jesus, even to the degree of partaking in evil behaviors, do not sorrow over them. They have the opportunity to change any time they want to. Instead we should simply rejoice over those who strive toward salvation.
2 Esdras 7:62 I answered then, and said, I know, Lord, that the most High is called merciful, in that he hath mercy upon them which are not yet come into the world,
63 And upon those also that turn to his law;
64 And that he is patient, and long suffereth those that have sinned, as his creatures;
65 And that he is bountiful, for he is ready to give where it needeth;
66 And that he is of great mercy, for he multiplieth more and more mercies to them that are present, and that are past, and also to them which are to come.
67 For if he shall not multiply his mercies, the world would not continue with them that inherit therein.
68 And he pardoneth; for if he did not so of his goodness, that they which have committed iniquities might be eased of them, the ten thousandth part of men should not remain living.
69 And being judge, if he should not forgive them that are cured with his word, and put out the multitude of contentions,
70 There should be very few left peradventure in an innumerable multitude.
Ezra is pleading and sorrowing for the entire race. He recognized the Lord, Yahweh, is merciful, but he also realized there will be very few people left after the white throne judgment. The angel continues:
2 Esdras 8:1-4 (KJVApocrypha)
1 And he answered me, saying, The most High hath made this world for many, but the world to come for few.
2 I will tell thee a similitude, Esdras; As when thou askest the earth, it shall say unto thee, that it giveth much mould whereof earthen vessels are made, but little dust that gold cometh of: even so is the course of this present world.
3 There be many created, but few shall be saved.
4 So answered I and said, Swallow then down, O my soul, understanding, and devour wisdom.
The word mould here is earth that is soft and rich in organic matter. The earth has the potential to make many clay pots, but it does not have much gold in it. As Jeremiah talked about people being cracked pots that can’t hold water, the idea here is that there may be many clay pots that come out of the earth, but only a few are worthy to save. Ezra must feel as if his heart is in his throat, as the expression goes. He tells himself to swallow understanding and devour wisdom. There is no reason to lament the one’s who will be consumed by the second death. They choose their behaviors intentionally not unintentionally.
An angel is now going to show John the bride of the Lamb.

Revelation 21:10-27 (KJV)
10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,
11 Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;
12 And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:
13 On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates.
14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
15 And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof.
John sees this city as a precious sparkling gemstone. It has walls and gates. Three of the tribes of Israel are written on each side. It also has twelve foundations and the names of the twelve apostles are written on the twelve foundations. The gates are the way in, but one has to proceed to cross over the foundation. In other words, the way into the new Jerusalem comes through one of the twelve tribes, but in order to enter in one must cross the foundation of one of the twelve apostles. No one can enter in by the gate alone, they have to have the foundation of the apostles as well. Therefore anyone who believes themselves to be an heir of Jacob must also have the testimony of Jesus, the foundation of the apostles, as Paul tells us. Today it doesn’t matter who we believe ourselves to be, we must have the foundation of Jesus as Lord and Savior. If one refuses to believe on Jesus, yet that one speaks of knowing “God”, that one is a pseudo, a liar. That liar won’t be in the new city.
Ephesians 2:18-20 (AMP)
18 For it is through Him that we both [whether far off or near] now have an introduction (access) by one [Holy] Spirit to the Father [so that we are able to approach Him].
19 Therefore you are no longer outsiders (exiles, migrants, and aliens, excluded from the rights of citizens), but you now share citizenship with the saints (God's own people, consecrated and set apart for Himself); and you belong to God's [own] household.
20 You are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets with Christ Jesus Himself the chief Cornerstone.
What this tells us is that there is no other way to get into the book of life unless we believe on Jesus as Lord as the apostles and prophets told us. Jesus is the chief cornerstone, so one cannot stay faithful to a made up religion, or an old covenant, and enter into the new Jerusalem. There will in fact be corners and there will be sides. The city itself is a cube.
Revelation 21:16 And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal.
Twelve thousand furlongs is 1,500.003 miles or 7,920,015.7 feet. The length of the city is 1500 miles. The width of the city is 1500 miles. The height of the city is 1500 miles. The new Jerusalem is a cube, a hexahedron, six equal sides.
Revelation 21:17 And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel.
The walls are 144 cubits or 216 feet high. The city is 1,500 miles in height but the walls are only 216 feet, with twelve gates and twelve foundations. The walls are made of jasper and the city itself is pure gold which looks like clear glass.
Revelation 21:18 And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass.
19 And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald;
20 The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst.
21 And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.
22 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.
The gates are made of pearls. We have always said the gates of heaven are pearly gates, which technically is incorrect. The gates of the new city are pearly gates. Heaven itself has no gates. The foundations are all precious gems, a different one for each apostle. There is no longer a need for a temple because there is no longer a need for sacrifice for atonement. The Father and Son are the temple. Since the Father and Son reside there, there is no need for the sun or moon. They illuminate the city. Remember what Enoch said when he looked at the face of God?
The secrets of the Book of Enoch https://www.sacred-texts.com/bib/fbe/fbe129.htm
22:1ON the tenth Heaven, Aravoth, I saw the appearance of the Lord's face, like iron made to glow in fire, and brought out, emitting sparks, and it burns.
2 Thus I saw the Lord's face, but the Lord's face is ineffable, marvellous and very awful, and very, very terrible.
3 And who am I to tell of the Lord's unspeakable being, and of his very wonderful face? And I cannot tell the quantity of his many instructions, and various voices, the Lord's throne very great and not made with hands, nor the quantity of those standing round him, troops of cherubim and seraphim, nor their incessant singing, nor his immutable beauty, and who shall tell of the ineffable greatness of his glory?
Glowing iron, bright and ineffable. Enoch is a man who has not put on immortality or incorruption and the Lord’s face is indescribable and inexpressible. He is looking at the face of the Lord God Almighty.
Revelation 21:23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
24 And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.
25 And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.
26 And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.
27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.
There will be kings coming into this city. They will bring glory and honor. The gates will not be shut. Remember there is a new heaven and a new earth. The kings of the earth will bring the glory and honor of the nations. No one can enter into the new Jerusalem unless they are written in the Lamb’s book of life.
We don’t think about the new heaven and new earth with a city that is a cube, but we want to understand, the height of the cube is 1,500 miles, the walls are only 216 feet. The gates and foundations are the new earth, and above the city is the new heaven. Kings will come and go into and out of the city, the gates will always be open, there will not be any night. Above the city is the new heaven where there is no sun or moon, no stars, just illumination from the Father and the Son.
Revelation 22:1-5 (KJV)
1 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life [2222], clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
2222
ζωή
If we remember back to the millennial kingdom, the temple is about one mile square. That is where the Lord was, in the square temple. Now, however, he is in the cubed city. Wherever the thrones of the Father and Son are in the city, there will be a crystal clear river of living water running out from under them. As I’ve mentioned previously, a man by the name of Masaru Emoto did a water experiment and noticed the difference between living water and dead water. He also found a way to reverse dead water. Using a microscope he saw the exquisite shapes and styles of the crystals in the water. Living water looks beautiful like snowflake crystals, while dead water looks misshapen and ugly.
After Abraham died, Isaac’s servant dug a well of living water. Living water has movement and flows, which is a requirement for water in the temple, which was over the Gihon Springs. Ezra tells us this about creation:
2 Esdras 6:47-48 (KJVApocrypha)
47 Upon the fifth day thou saidst unto the seventh part, where the waters were gathered that it should bring forth living creatures, fowls and fishes: and so it came to pass.
48 For the dumb water and without life brought forth living things at the commandment of God, that all people might praise thy wondrous works.
Clearly Ezra understands there is living water, water of life, and dumb water, or obtuse water. Obtuse means not sharp edged, but blunt or dull. An obtuse angle is more than ninety degrees and less than one hundred and eighty degrees. Clearly by the definition, we see what Masaru Emoto found, misshapen dull water crystals. Instead of being a work of art, the dead water is rather ugly. Imagine what living water from the Father and Son will be like!
Revelation 22:2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
There will be a tree of life with twelve different fruits, one type for every month. It will be for the therapy of the ethnic groups. Why do the people need healing? Because there was a curse that brought death to the earth, humans, animals, and the water, but now the curse will be abolished.
Revelation 22:3 And there shall be no more curse [2652]: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:

ἀνάθεμα
anathema an-ath'-em-ah From G394; a (religious) ban or (concretely) excommunicated (thing or person) KJV Usage: accursed, anathema, curse, X great.
A curse was brought down to earth. It made the waters obtuse, and made the water crystals dull, blunt and misshapen. It caused death among the the plants, animals, and humans as well. The earth, as Romans 8 tells us, is laboring, travailing, in expectation of the appearing of the sons of God. The apocalypse of the people who come back to earth with Jesus at the end of the tribulation. The earth will start a process of healing that will be completed in the new heaven and earth.
Revelation 22:4 And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.
If we remember, the 144,000 people who are taken off the earth during the mid-point of the tribulation after Jesus is coronated, they all had the name of the Father and the Son inscribed on their foreheads. They are His people. So now too are those who see His face. They will be taking His name, similar to when a bride marries and takes the surname of the groom.
Revelation 22:5 And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.
There will not be lanterns or candles and no nighttime. No flashlights, no lamps, no torches, no sun, moon, or stars. They shall reign as rulers into the eons of eons, or age to age. Who will they rule over? Well the city has gates, and kings outside, which tells us that there will be some people outside of the gates. The angel will explain that to us next week.
Our acceptance of Jesus as Savior and Lord is the only way we can get to Paradise when we pass away in this age. In the next age trusting on Jesus will be a key for those people, as well as not becoming misled by the satan. At the white throne judgment, people will be checked against books recording their works and against the Lambs book of Life. They will either enter the age of the new heaven and earth with the new Jerusalem, a beautiful city coming down from heaven, or they will be sent to the lake of fire, the second death, where the beast, the false prophet, and the devil will be tormented day and night from ages to ages. The foundation of the city is built on the apostles. It does not matter if we like the message of the twelve apostles or not, that is the foundation. We can not insert our own human logic or our own human desires into this mix. The apostles followed Jesus, lived with Jesus, watched Jesus, and then saw him die. They also saw him after his death for forty days, and then saw him ascend. This is the message of the new city.
