Sometimes it feels as if the just, those who are walking in righteousness, are forgotten. As if Yahweh could ever forget one of his own. But evil can become so overwhelming that those who are living well-ordered and civilized lives, seem to be neglected by rulers and those in authority. Yet David tells us that the just will have an eternal memorial. A memorial can be a place like a museum that tells the story of an event. It can be a statue of someone who was a critical figure in history. It can be a monument of a person or an event. David had a monument built to him which included some of his Psalms. No matter what men do upon the earth, whether they respect memorials or not, Yahweh establishes a memorial for the righteous throughout eternity.
From a couple of previous studies where we learned about David’s monument:
Notice 4739.2 is used as an inscription on a monument for Psalm 16, 56, 57, 58, 59, and 60. This is amusing to me as it seems there are people today who are becoming acutely unhinged over monuments and statues. History cannot be undone. David’s words were inscribed on a monument. This is something that many people probably saw, read, understood, and thought about. Why these Psalms? We don’t know. But there are treasures here.
Wouldn’t it be great if someone told us that the secret to life was to simply follow the yellow brick road, and then magically a yellow brick road appeared? All we would have to do is start walking and we would be on the path of life. David had a vision and gave us the secrets to the path of life; then David’s Psalm was inscribed on a Monument for people to read and understand. The apostle Peter quotes David’s Psalm on Pentecost to explain Jesus, which then gave more people the path to life. David had a vision of the future and understood that the beloved of Yahweh were not left for destruction. David’s perspective is different than ours as we do not quite understand the earthborn and who David was dealing with during his kingship. David says that Yahweh is our inheritance and that Yahweh educates our emotions. David tells us twice that Yahweh is at our right side. David camps out on this vision; it is what he puts his expectation in.
There are six Psalms that are labeled as an inscription on a monument. The word logography means written words. There was a monument to, or of David, probably in the City of David. There were many monuments set up all over Israel. Monuments told the stories of battles. Monuments told of peoples’ visions, such as Jacob’s dream of a ladder. Sometimes they were prophetic, as Josiah found out. They told stories of great men. Sometimes monuments were used at important people’s tombs. They were warnings, such as the pillar of salt (Lot’s wife), as Solomon told us it is a monument of an unbelieving soul. Monuments were also used as markers for directions. In later years rulers and kings put up monuments to themselves. David had several monuments. This is how people knew the stories of David and how Peter was able to recite David’s prophecy. There are monuments of Psalms 56, 57, 58, 59, and 60, as well as Psalms 16. We do not know if these were all in one place, or all one monument. But this is how people learned the news and the prophecies. Psalms 56 is in regards to the Philistines in Gath. Psalms 57 is an inscription about David running from Saul. Psalms 58 is a general Psalm of judgment. Psalms 59 is a monument in regards to Saul, and Psalms 60 is inscribed regarding a battle in Mesopotamia and Syria. It is unfortunate that we no longer have these monuments as we could have learned so much from them.
There is an eternal memorial for the just. It will not be one that can be torn down with hands, but it will be one with a future event, and a reason for a mystery.

Eternal means “perpetual, unending”. The word memorial means “record or a reminder”. The word just is the same word as righteous, dikaios. We will look at this Psalm more closely in a moment. But let's explore the word just.
Psalm 1:5 G1223 On account of G3778 this G3756 [3shall not G450 4rise up G3588 1the G765 2impious] G1722 in G2920 judgment, G3761 nor G268 the sinners G1722 in G1012 the counsel G1342 of the just.

The courts of heaven are very different from the courts of men. Those who are irreverent or ungodly, will not become judges, and sinners will not become counselors among the just. Notice verse 1 tells us of a chair or seat, which is a position.

1) a chair, a seat
1a) used of the exalted seat occupied by men of eminent rank or influence, as teachers and judges
καθέδρα
KJV Usage: seat.
On the earth there is a chair of mischievous people. What David is describing is a ruling order of people who are sinners and disrespectful towards Yahweh. We are blessed not to be an impious counselor, a sinner, or mischievous ruler. Moses had a chair which was a chair of judgment, but by the time of the first century the Pharisees and scribes sat in that chair.
Matthew 23:2 G3004 saying, G1909 Upon G3588 the G* chair of Moses G2515 G2523 sat G3588 the G1122 scribes G2532 and G3588 the G* Pharisees.
Jesus says to listen to their words but do not do what they do. The Pharisees and scribes loved the attention they received from their position, but they did not do the things they told others to do. There is also a seat of the elders.
Psalms 107:32 G5312 Let them exalt him G1473 G1722 in G1577 the assembly G2992 of people, G2532 and G1722 [2in G2515 3 the chair G4245 4of the elders G134 1let them praise him]! G1473
The chair of the elders is in the congregation and is the place that people should praise Yahweh. It is an established position in the assembly. What we see is that there are positions of rulers or leaders and they may or may not be just. Moses was, the Pharisees were not. The elders at the time of David may have been righteous, the elders of today may not be. The heavenly courts and the seats or chairs are positions where just spiritual beings judge. Our earthly courts are not always being run by just judges.
Coming back to the just, on the earth these positions and seats are corrupted, but in the heavens these positions are only for the just. The Lord knows the way of the just.
1 G1909 Upon G3588 the G2962 lord G3982 I have yielded. G4459 How G2046 shall you say G3588 to G5590 my soul, G1473 G3339.1 Migrate G1909 unto G3588 the G3735 mountains G5613 as G4765 a sparrow?
2 G3754 For G2400 behold, G3588 the G268 sinners G1780.2 stretch tight G5115 the bow; G2090 they prepare G956 arrows G1519 for G5329.1 the quiver, G3588 G2700 to shoot G1722 in G4654.1 moonlight G3588 the G2117 straight G3588 G2588 in heart.
This is a Psalm for the fulfillment, or the end, telos. David says that he is persuaded by Yahweh, so he asks why Yahweh is telling him to immigrate to the mountains? Because the enemy is going to be shooting at David. Yahweh sees this as they are planning it. David doesn’t know why Yahweh says to flee to the mountains like a sparrow. In David’s mind he isn’t doing anything wrong, he was doing what Yahweh asked him to do. David is just, and righteous.
Psalms 11:3 G3754 That G3739 which G1473 you G2675 readied, G1473 they G2507 demolished; G3588 but the G1161 G1342 just, G5100 what G4160 did they do?
4 G2962 The lord G1722 is in G3485 [2temple G39 1his holy]; G1473 G2962 the lord G1722 is in G3772 heaven G3588 G2362 his throne; G1473 G3588 G3788 his eyes G1473 G1519 [2unto G3588 3the G3993 4needy G1914 1pay attention]; G3588 G991.1 his eyelids G1473 G1833 inquire diligently G3588 of the G5207 sons G3588 G444 of men.
5 G2962 The lord G1833 inquires diligently to G3588 the G1342 just G2532 and G3588 the G765 impious; G3588 but the one G1161 G25 loving G93 injustice G3404 detests G3588 G1438 his own G5590 soul.
6 G1917.2 He shall rain G1909 [2upon G268 3sinners G3803 1snares]; G4442 fire G2532 and G2303 sulphur G2532 and G4151 [2wind G2616.6 1a gale] G3588 shall be the G3310 portion G3588 G4221 of their cup. G1473
7 G3754 For G1342 the lord is just, G2962 G2532 and G1343 [2righteousness G25 1he loves]; G2118 [3straightness G1492 2perceived G3588 G4383 1his face]. G1473
The sinners are aiming at the upright in heart. David says that the just didn’t do anything wrong. Yahweh inquires about the just. He asks the other sons of God about how the just are doing. The impious actually hates his own soul. Why? Because he is entering eternal death not eternal life. If you love yourself you would want to have eternal life. Yahweh sees what is going on, he will rain snares, fire, sulphur, and a gale wind, which will be the cup of the sinners. Yahweh is just. Yahweh loves righteousness.
Coming back to Psalms 112, this is an acrostic psalm. We will see that in order to attach a Hebrew letter to each line the writers had to split up a sentence. This Psalm tells us about the memorial to the just.
1 G3107 Happy G435 the man G3588 G5399 fearing G3588 the G2962 lord; G1722 in G3588 G1785 his commandments G1473 G2309 he will want G4970 exceedingly.
2 G1415 [3mighty G1722 4in G3588 5the G1093 6earth G1510.8.3 2will be G3588 G4690 1His seed]; G1473 G1074 a generation G2117 of the upright G2127 shall be blessed.
3 G1391 Glory G2532 and G4149 riches G1722 in G3588 G3624 his house; G1473 G2532 and G3588 G1343 his righteousness G1473 G3306 abides G1519 into G3588 the G165 eon G3588 of the G165 eon.
The people who fear Yahweh want to do his will. Those are the people that will do well, and their children will do well on the earth into the ages of ages.
Psalms 112:4 G1816 He caused to rise up G1722 in G4655 darkness G5457 a light G3588 to the G2117 upright; G1655 he is merciful G2532 and G3629 pitying G2532 and G1342 just.
5 G5543 A gracious G435 man G3588 is the G3627 one pitying G2532 and G2797.2 lending; G3621 he shall manage G3588 G3056 his matters G1473 G1722 in G2920 equity.
Darkness is skotos, it can mean “night, blindness, or ignorance”. Yahweh caused a light to spring up to the upright. The upright are gracious and have compassion. The upright manages his words in justice.
Psalms 112:6 G3754 For G1519 into G3588 the G165 eon G3756 he shall not G4531 be shaken; G1519 [3for G3422 5memorial G166 4an eternal G1510.8.3 2will be G1342 1 the just].
Into the ages the upright will not be shaken. Shaken means to be blown by wind or overthrown. That is a message for every age as well as ours today. The just will be unto an eternal memorial. How do we become part of the eternal memorial? We have to overcome being shaken. We have to stay righteous. We have to be gracious, compassionate, and manage our words with justice. And there is more.
Psalms 112:7 G575 From G189 hearing G4190 a wicked report G3756 he shall not G5399 be afraid; G2092 [2is prepared G3588 G2588 1his heart] G1473 G1679 to hope G1909 upon G2962 the lord .
The upright person is not fearful of the evil, wicked, or bad. Instead the upright have ready hearts. They hope and trust on Yahweh.
Psalms 112:8 G4741 [2is fixed firmly G3588 G2588 1His heart]; G1473 G3766.2 in no way G5399 should he be fearful, G2193 until G3739 of which time G1896 he should see his desires G1909 upon G3588 G2190 his enemies. G1473 [G4650 He dispersed;]
The upright person has a stable heart. That person will not be in fear until he looks upon his enemies who are put to flight. Imagine seeing our enemies running scared. We would be scared just to see that. The last part of this sentence connects to the first part of the next sentence. The upright person is not afraid until he sees his enemies dispersed abroad or scattered.
...G1325 he gave G3588 to the G3993 needy; G3588 G1343 his righteousness G1473 G3306 abides G1519 into G3588 the G165 eon G3588 of the G165 eon; G3588 G2768 his horn G1473 G5312 shall be raised up high G1722 in G1391 glory.
Because this is an acrostic psalm the sentence was split up to accommodate the letters. The upright person gives to the poor and his righteousness remains into the ages of the ages. His strength is exalted in glory.
Psalms 112:10 G268 A sinner G3708 shall see G2532 and G3710 shall be provoked to anger; G3588 G3599 [2his teeth G1473 G1031 1he shall gnash] G2532 and G5080 melt away; G1939 the desire G268 of the sinner G622 shall perish.
A sinful person will see and perceive and be enraged and wroth. He will grind his teeth and melt. The craving of the sinner is ruined and given over to eternal misery in hell.
There is a memorial that the ekklesia will be a part of. It is something that we should be memorializing every year. Now we know that the children of Israel left Egypt after the passover, which was March 15th in corrected dating of the year 1595 BCE. Passover was the 14th, which, as we have studied, is the exact date that Jesus celebrated the passover, just like the Essenes, Nazarenes, Therapeutaes, the Damascus Community, and the Prophets as well as the Quartodecimans. Exodus tells us that Yahweh was going to visit the children of Israel in the third month of the exodus.
Exodus 19:1 G3588 And in the G1161 G3376 [2month G3588 G5154 1third] G3588 of the G1841 exodus G3588 of the G5207 sons G* of Israel G1537 from G1093 the land G* Egypt, G3588 G2250 on this day G3778 G2064 they came G1519 into G3588 the G2048 wilderness G3588 G* of Sinai.
The Israelites got rid of the Rephaim, and then camped in Sinai. This time frame would be about the time of Shavot or Pentecost. Shavot is the commemoration of the Torah on Sinai. Moses is told to prepare the people for the Yahweh to come to Sinai before all the people. They are told that when they hear the trumpets, and voices or languages, and they see a cloud come from the mountain that they should ascend upon the mountain. Let’s pick this up in a previous study.
To understand this trumpet we should go back to the context of the first trumpet in the Bible. We should be aware that the Hebrew has six words for trumpet but the Greek has only one. The rabbi’s in later years attempted to redefine this trumpet when they translated the Greek back into Hebrew, which then throws our understanding into chaos. The rabbi’s took their own personal opinions and altered the text. As we should be aware, the Greek text is older and more accurate. Here we have an example of the words being changed somewhere between 300CE to 1000 CE, so as to do away with the spiritual nature of life and our holy service to Yahweh.
Exodus 19:16 G1096 And it came to pass G1161 G3588 G2250 [3day G3588 1on the G5154 2third], G1096 happening G4314 towards G3722 dawn, G2532 and G1096 there were G5456 voices, G2532 and G796 lightnings, G2532 and G3507 [2clouds G1105.2 1overcast] G1909 upon G3735 mount G* Sinai; G5456 the voice G3588 of the G4536 trumpet G2278 sounded G3173 greatly, G2532 and G4422 [7were terrified G3956 1all G3588 2the G2992 3people G3588 G1722 4in G3588 5the G3925 6camp].

The spiritual aspect of the children of Jacob meeting with Yahweh Elohim in the wilderness is an event that was to be memorialized. In our modern day we have changed this to be known as Rosh Hashanah, but there was no such holy day in biblical times. This was to be the day of the memorial of trumpets. The biblical name was Yom Teruah. Teruah is one of the six words for trumpet in the Hebrew that come from the one Greek word salpigx. It was not supposed to be the New Year, it was a holy day in the seventh month, on the first day.
Lev 23:24 G2980 Speak G3588 to the G5207 sons G* of Israel, G3004 saying! G3588 The G3376 [2month G3588 G1442 1seventh], G1520 day one G3588 of the G3376 month G1510.8.3 will be G1473 to you G372 a rest, G3422 a memorial G4536 of trumpets, G2822 [2convocation G39 1a holy] G3588 to the G2962 lord
According to Paul, this memorial of trumpets has all the same elements of the harpazo. Paul knew his readers understood the day of the memorial of trumpets, so when he explained the harpazo he was writing in that context. Remember, in heaven, also upon the earth. Paul thought we would understand that this was the day to remember the Lord God coming in the clouds to meet with His people with shouts and trumpets. Paul would probably not have imagined that rabbi’s would later change the entire holy day. The religious leaders had already changed from the solar calendar to a lunar calendar about 175 years earlier, but Paul probably would not have imagined that they would have changed the entire holy day.
Let’s ask ourselves the question; if the Lord visited the children of Israel around Shavot or Pentecost, the third month, why are they remembering that event in the seventh month? Is there a mystery here? The first thing we can observe is that a memorial can be made at a different day then an actual event according to Yahweh. Yet there must be something that connects these two events. Pentecost is the day that the Holy Spirit came to reside within believers of Christ. Using an Enoch or Zadok calendar, Pentecost is 50 days after resurrection Sunday, which makes it the 68th day of the year. Shavuot is 50 days after First Fruits of Barley, making it the 75th day of the year. The third month starts on the 61st day of the year and ends on the 91st day of the year. Always. During that third month there was three days of preparation and then Yahweh would visit.
The first day of the seventh month is trumpets. We have to correct our thinking that Trumpets was to be on a new moon as the original Enoch calendar and the Zadok priesthood calendar were solar calendars. Everyone knew when the first day of the month was as it was mapped out from the Wednesday (the fourth day of the week) after the vernal equinox. Yom Teruah was always the 183rd day of the year. Yom Kippur is always the 192nd day of the year, and Sukkot was always the 197th day of the year. As we know, our modern calendars change every year and our holy days are off as Moses was told would happen, but Yahweh’s calendar has never changed.
The memorial of a trumpet sound equates to the sound of a trumpet at the harpazo. So why memorialize the day that Yahweh came down to speak with the Israelites on a different day? It is a future pattern. There are four months in-between these events. Four is the number of man in creation but also represents division. From Number in Scripture:4
Now the number four is made up of three and one (3+1=4), and it denotes, therefore, and marks that which follows the revelation of God in the Trinity, namely, His creative works . He is known by the things that are seen. Hence the written revelation commences with the words, "In-the-beginning God CREATED." Creation is therefore the next thing—the fourth thing, and the number four always has reference to all that is created . It is emphatically the number of Creation; of man in his relation to the world as created; while six is the number of man in his opposition to and independence of God. It is the number of things that have a beginning, of things that are made, of material things, and matter itself. It is the number of material completeness . Hence it is the world number , and especially the "city" number.
The fourth day saw the material creation finished (for on the fifth and sixth days it was only the furnishing and peopling of the earth with living creatures). The sun, moon, and stars completed the work, and they were to give light upon the earth which had been created, and to rule over the day and over the night (Gen 1:14-19). Four is the number of the great elements—earth, air, fire, and water. Four are the regions of the earth—north, south, east, and west. Four are the divisions of the day—morning, noon, evening, and midnight. Or in our Lord's words, when He speaks of His coming at evening, midnight, cock-crowing, or in the morning (Mark 13:35). We are never to put off His coming in our minds beyond tomorrow morning. Four are the seasons of the year—spring, summer, autumn, and winter. Four are the great variations of the lunar phases.
…Four marks division also. For the river was " parted ." It is the first number which is not a "prime," the first which can be divided . It is the first square number also, and therefore it marks a kind of completeness as well, which we have called material completeness.

Coming out of Egypt and meeting with Yahweh in the third month established Israel as a nation. The Day of Pentecost also established the ekklesia as a nation. Number in Scripture:3
Three, therefore, stands for that which is solid, real, substantial, complete , and entire . All things that are specially complete are stamped with this number three. God's attributes are three : omniscience, omnipresence, and omnipotence. There are three great divisions completing time-past, present, and future . Three persons, in grammar, express and include all the relationships of mankind.

Remembering the day that Yahweh came to Israel on the earth in the seventh month establishes spiritual perfection and the future eternal sabbath. Number in Scripture:7
We come now to the great number of spiritual perfection . A number which, therefore, occupies so large a place in the works, and especially in the Word of God as being inspired by the Holy Spirit.
…It is, however, when we come to consider its significance that the true glories of its spiritual perfection are revealed.
…It is seven, therefore, that stamps with perfection and completeness that in connection with which it is used. Of time, it tells of the Sabbath, and marks off the week of seven days, which, artificial as it may seem to be, is universal and immemorial in its observance amongst all nations and in all times. It tells of that eternal Sabbath-keeping which remains for the people of God in all its everlasting perfection. In the creative works of God, seven completes the colours of the spectrum and rainbow, and satisfies in music the notes of the scale. In each of these the eighth is only a repetition of the first .

It would seem then that there is a message that we can look at several ways. One message is that although Yahweh came down to Israel in the third month, we will go up when Yahweh calls in the seventh month, at the sound of trumpets. This gives us four months for either completion or division. Yahweh may be signaling that although he came to visit Israel in the third month, they will visit him in the seventh month. Israel became established after captivity in the third month, but needs four months to become complete or divided for spiritual perfection. It can also tell us that the birth of the ekklesia on the third month needs four months for completion or division, before achieving eternal Sabbath. In any scenario, we see that the memorial was to be recognized on the first day of the seventh month. Why remember Yahweh visiting on that day every year unless we are listening for a trumpet on that day? The sons of Korah wrote a song for the telos, the end. All the nations are to exult and clap hands.
Psalm 47:0 G1519 For G3588 the G5056 director; G5228 [2for G3588 3the G5207 4sons G* 5of Korah G5568 1a psalm].
1 G3956 All G3588 the G1484 nations -- G2924.8 clap G5495 hands! G214 Shout G3588 G2316 to God G1722 with G5456 a voice G20 of exultation!
2 G3754 For G2962 the lord G5310 the highest G5398 is dreadful; G935 [2king G3173 1a great] G1909 over G3956 all G3588 the G1093 earth.
3 G5293 He submitted G2992 peoples G1473 to us, G2532 and G1484 nations G5259 under G3588 G4228 our feet. G1473
Yahweh the supreme is frightful. He gave the nations to be taught by Israel. At the time of the sons of Korah, it looked like the nations would learn about Yahweh from Israel, but the satan worked overtime on Israel to keep them from teaching the world about Yahweh.
Psalm 47:4 G1586 He chose G1473 to us G3588 the G2817 inheritance G1438 for us, G3588 the G2566.2 beauty G* of Jacob G3739 whom G25 he loved.
Yahweh chose Israel as he states in Exodus 19. They were to be a chosen people to teach the nations.
Psalm 47:5 G305 God ascended G3588 G2316 G1722 in G213.2 a shout; G2962 the lord G1722 with G5456 the sound G4536 of a trumpet.
Elohim ascended with a shout like a war cry. Yahweh comes with the noise of a trumpet. This is a song for the memorial of the day that Yahweh came to meet with them. But there is more.
Psalm 47:6 G5567 Strum G3588 to G2316 our God! G1473 G5567 Strum! G5567 Strum G3588 to G935 our king! G1473 G5567 Strum!
7 G3754 For G935 the king G3956 of all G3588 the G1093 earth G3588 G2316 is God. G5567 Strum G4908.1 expertly!
8 G936 God reigns G3588 G2316 G1909 over G3588 the G1484 nations. G3588 G2316 God G2521 sits G1909 upon G2362 [2throne G39 1his holy]. G1473
9 G758 Rulers G2992 of peoples G4863 are brought together G3326 with G3588 the G2316 God G* of Abraham. G3754 For G3588 G2316 by God G3588 the G2900 strong ones G3588 of the G1093 earth G4970 [2exceedingly G1869 1were lifted up].
Verse 9: “Leaders of the laity assemble with the Elohim of Abraham. Because the Elohim, the strong and mighty on earth are raised up violently”.
We see the sons of Korah understood something. They connected the memorial of verse 5 to the violent rising up of verse 9 during the memorial of trumpets. Harpazo. They help us to understand that the thing we are to remember and celebrate as a memorial, is for us. They add to our knowledge of this specific memorial where the event and the celebration are in different months.
Paul understood this as well, and he told us what to expect when there are shouts and trumpets. Harpazo. This is the everlasting memorial for the righteous. This is a holy day that we can celebrate every year. We don’t need a monument or a statue because Yahweh ordains it. Besides, someone would just destroy it as they did with David’s statue.
The beauty of this memorial is that it will be remembered into future ages. The just, the righteous, will be remembered as having endured the wicked on the earth. They will be remembered as having endured arrows of the enemy. They will be remembered for standing strong during trials. They will be remembered for obeying the voice of the Lord even when it doesn’t seem reasonable. They will be remembered for not being shaken.
Another beautiful thing about this memorial is the message. Israel was established and complete in the third month. The church is established and complete in the third month. Israel has a symbolic four months which establishes man in creation and establishes division as to who will be just or righteous. The church has a symbolic four months which establishes the called out saints in creation, and establishes division as to who will be just or righteous. There were many people who observed the miracle at Pentecost but didn’t wish to partake in the infilling of the Holy Spirit, yet those people thought they were spiritual. Then on the first day of the seventh month we see the Israelites were to remember the holy convocation of trumpets, when the Lord came to speak to them back in the third month. They were to celebrate with trumpets on the day called Yom Teruah, because they heard shouts and trumpets. Literally, Yom Teruah is the day of shouting and blasting. The ekklesia is to celebrate Yom Teruah on the first day of the seventh month because the Lord will call from the clouds with shouts and trumpets, and it will be a violent rising up. Every year we are to remember this day as the day of spiritual perfection and eternal Sabbath.
Three, plus four, equals seven. Three, called out to become a complete nation, Israel, and the Church. Four, men in creation, divided as to the just and unjust. Seven, spiritual perfection, and eternal sabbath, a rest for the just. It is time to rejoice saints, we will be remembered throughout eternity for our just and righteous stand. Yahweh gave us a holy day to celebrate now and into the future.
