David writes several Psalms with the tag line of “into the fulfillment”. It would seem that the idea of these Psalms is that there is information we will not be able to understand or unlock until the time of the end, telos. What we see in this Psalm is a series of subjects that correlate to our time. David continues to call for judgment and even calls for the nations to have laws by which they should be judged. David shows us the difference between death and Hades and who goes where. David also understands the plight of the day laborer, the regular working man, and reminds us that by steadfastness we are saved into the fulfillment.
Psalms 9:0 G1519 To G3588 the G5056 director; G5228 for G3588 the G2931.1 private things G3588 of the G5207 son; G5568 a psalm G3588 to G* David.
“Into the fulfillment over the hidden son, song David”
The Psalm is written for the fulfillment or end telos, over, or on behalf of, the hidden son, male descendant. Who is the hidden son? Did David know and understand the Father and the Son? He certainly did. It wasn’t until after Jesus died and rose up that Jews started distorting the Bible to make it look like Jesus wasn’t the Messiah. However, prior to that tampering, David and others all knew that the Messiah would come from David’s lineage. This is what David tells us on several occasions in the Psalms. He was well aware of who was coming from heaven to the earth to rescue humankind. Because this information was distorted much later in time, we have the ability to uncover some of this knowledge. Although today we are missing thousands of David’s Psalms.
Psalms 9:1 G1843 I shall make acknowledgment G1473 to you, G2962 O lord, G1722 with G3650 [2entire G2588 3heart G1473 1my]. G1334 I shall describe G3956 all G3588 G2297 your wonders. G1473
“I confess Yahweh in my whole heart, relate in full all your miracles.”
The word ἐξομολογέω exomologeō is a compound word meaning "from out of” and ὁμολογέω homologeō “confess”. Homologeō is a compound word ὁμοῦ homou “together” and λόγος logos “word” or “speech”. The idea that David is recording for us is to speak out together from our heart and tell others about Yahweh’s miracles. The word exomologeō is used 78 times in the Psalms, and is used 119 times total in the scripture. Are the Psalmists trying to tell us that making acknowledgement of the hidden Son is important? Notice what Jesus says.
Revelation 3:5 G3588 The one G3528 overcoming, G3778 this one G4016 shall be covered G1722 with G2440 [2garments G3022 1white]; G2532 and G3766.2 in no way G1813 shall I wipe away G3588 G3686 his name G1473 G1537 from out of G3588 the G976 book G3588 G2222 of life, G2532 and G3670 I will acknowledge G3588 G3686 his name G1473 G1799 before G3588 G3962 my father, G1473 G2532 even G1799 in the presence of G3588 G32 his angels. G1473
Jesus tells us that the people of Sardis are living, but they are dead. There are two books for us to know and understand; one is the book of works, and the other is the book of life. These people were like many of us, they knew of the Lord and did good works, but they did not confess the Lord before men. If we confess Jesus as Lord, he will confess us before the Father and the angels.
Matthew 10:32 G3956 Every one G3767 then G3748 whoever G3670 shall acknowledge G1722 being mine G1473 G1715 before G3588 G444 men, G3670 I shall acknowledge, G2504 even myself, G1722 him G1473 G1715 before G3588 G3962 my father, G1473 G3588 of the one G1722 in G3772 heavens.
33 G3748 And whoever G1161 G302 G720 should deny G1473 me G1715 before G3588 the G444 men, G720 I shall deny G1473 him, G2504 even myself, G1715 before G3588 G3962 my father, G1473 G3588 the one G1722 in G3772 the heavens.
34 G3361 You should not G3543 think G3754 that G2064 I came G906 to cast G1515 peace G1909 upon G3588 the G1093 earth; G3756 I came not G2064 G906 to cast G1515 peace, G235 but G3162 a sword
Jesus makes it clear that he will confess us before the Father if we confess Him. Notice that there are two groups here; the ones who confess and the ones who deny. But there is a group, like those in Sardis, who know of Jesus, the hidden Son, but did not confess him. There were many people who actually believed on Jesus when he was on the earth due to the miracles they saw, but they did not confess Jesus as Lord because they did not want to get thrown out of the synagogues, John 12:42. This was a huge cult-like trap for the people of that time. If expelled from the synagogues they would have been shunned, not able to associate with those in the synagogues. They could not hear the scriptures read and they could not buy and sell merchandise. They could not work for anyone who was a member in good standing of the synagogue. The Pharisees had so much control over the people that the people were in fear. This is a cult. This is also why the leaders of this group altered the scriptures, and destroyed original writings, so that people would not confess Jesus as Lord.
When Jesus first came he brought division. He will eventually bring peace when all enemies are subdued, but today we still live under division; those who confess Jesus, and those who deny Jesus. Today the devil makes no secret of his loathing for humans and his hatred for those who confess Jesus. The devil even influences humans to promote the murder of unborn and newborn babies, as well as elderly people and handicapped people. Which side of the sword are they on?
Paul tells us to acknowledge by mouth and to trust in our heart.
Romans 10:9 G3754 that G1437 if G3670 you should acknowledge G1722 in G3588 G4750 your mouth G1473 G2962 the Lord G* Jesus, G2532 and G4100 should trust G1722 in G3588 G2588 your heart G1473 G3754 that G3588 G2316 God G1473 raised him G1453 G1537 from G3498 the dead, G4982 you shall be delivered.
10 G2588 For the heart G1063 G4100 trusts G1519 unto G1343 righteousness; G4750 and the mouth G1161 G3670 acknowledges G1519 to G4991 deliverance.
David said that he confesses Yahweh with his whole heart, he speaks from his heart. This is what Paul told us. John also clarifies.
1 John 4:15 G3739 Who G302 ever G3670 should acknowledge G3754 that G* Jesus G1510.2.3 is G3588 the G5207 son G3588 G2316 of God, G3588 G2316 God G1722 [2in G1473 3him G3306 1abides], G2532 and G1473 he G1722 in G3588 G2316 God.
16 G2532 And G1473 we G1097 have known G2532 and G4100 have believed G3588 the G26 love G3739 which G2192 God has G3588 G2316 G1722 for G1473 us. G* G2316 God G26 is love; G1510.2.3 G2532 and G3588 the one G3306 abiding G1722 in G3588 the G26 love, G1722 [2in G3588 G2316 3God G3306 1abides], G2532 and G3588 G2316 God G1722 in G1473 him
Confession brings the abiding of the Elohim in us, and us in Him. The hidden Son brings the love of God into our lives. This is like a sword between those who confess Jesus and those who deny Jesus. It is that sharp of a distinction. Which side of the sword do we want to be on? The side of the hidden Son, or the side that rejects the hidden Son? Paul tells us that Yahweh says every tongue will confess to Elohim.
Romans 14:11 G1125 For it has been written, G1063 G2198 As I live, G1473 G3004 says G2962 the Lord, G3754 that G1473 to me G2578 [3shall bend G3956 1every G1119 2knee], G2532 and G3956 every G1100 tongue G1843 shall make acknowledgment G3588 to G2316 God.
Paul is paraphrasing from Isaiah.
Isaiah 45:21….. G3780 Am I not G1473 G2962 the lord G3588 G2316 God? G3756 There is no G1510.2.3 G243 other G4133 besides G1473 me -- G1342 just G2532 and G4990 a deliverer. G3756 There is none G1510.2.3 G3926.1 besides me.
22 G1994 Turn G1909 unto G1473 me! G2532 and G4982 you shall be delivered, G3588 O ones G575 from G2078 the end G3588 of the G1093 earth. G1473 I G1510.2.1 am G3588 G2316 God, G2532 and G3756 there is no G1510.2.3 G243 other.
23 G2596 According to G1683 myself G3660 I swear by an oath, G1508 that G1831 [2shall come forth G1537 3from out of G3588 G4750 4my mouth G1473 G1343 1righteousness]; G3588 G3056 my words G1473 G3756 shall not be G654 perverted. G3754 For G1473 [3shall bend to me G2578 G3956 1every G1119 2knee], G2532 and G3660 [3shall swear by an oath G3956 1every G1100 2tongue] G3588 by G2316 God,
24 G3004 saying, G1343 Righteousness G2532 and G1391 glory G4314 [2to G1473 3him G2240 1shall come]; G2532 and G153 [6shall be ashamed G3956 1all G3588 2the ones G1357.1 3of them being separated G1473 G575 4from G2962 5 the lord].
Yahweh Elohim; there is none other. What is every tongue saying? ‘Righteousness and glory with Him shall come’, or, ‘justice and honor is present with Him’. The ones being separated will be ashamed. This is the sword that Jesus brought. There will be no peace in this age because the sword is separating all humans. This is why confession is important. David was calling on the people of his time to confess the hidden Son. Then Jesus, from the line of David, was made known in Israel. Now we are to confess Jesus to the world and he will confess us to the Father and the angels. Once Jesus confesses us to the Father and the angels, we are separated by the sword of the Lord. Jesus didn’t come to throw out peace on the earth, but to throw out a sword. There is a specific intent and intensity to ballō, throwing peace or throwing a dirk, a short dagger.
Psalms 9:2 G2165 I will be glad G2532 and G21 exult G1722 in G1473 you. G5567 I shall strum G3588 to G3686 your name, G1473 G5310 O highest one.
“Cheer and rejoice exceedingly in Him. play on a stringed instrument His name Supreme God.”
David is teaching us that we can play an instrument and sing our acknowledgement of Yahweh. He is Supreme. He is Highest. The idea of “highest” or “most high” is interesting to us as we have a very one dimensional view of the spiritual realm. We have been conditioned to believe there is one God, a few angels, and then man. But the legion speaking for many demons tells us something interesting when conversing with Jesus.
Mark 5:6 G1492 And beholding G1161 G3588 G* Jesus G575 from G3113 far off, G5143 he ran G2532 and G4352 did obeisance to G1473 him.
7 G2532 And G2896 having cried out G5456 [2voice G3173 1with a great] G2036 he said, G5100 What is it G1473 to me G2532 and G1473 to you, G* Jesus, G5207 O son G3588 of the G2316 [2God G3588 G5310 1highest]? G3726 I adjure G1473 you G3588 G2316 by God G3361 that you should not G1473 torment me. G928
8 G3004 For he said G1063 G1473 to him, G1831 Come forth, G3588 O G4151 [2spirit G3588 G169 1unclean] G1537 from out of G3588 the G444 man!
9 G2532 And G1905 he asked G1473 him, G5100 What G1473 is your G3686 name? G2532 And G611 he answered, G3004 saying, G3003 Legion G3686 is my name, G1473 G3754 for G4183 we are many. G1510.2.4
If there is a Highest, there also must be a lowest. This confirms that under the title, Elohim/elohim there are higher Elohim and lower elohim. Remember Elohim is a title meaning king or ruler. The Father is known as an Elohim, The Holy Spirit is an Elohim, angels are elohim, the devil is an elohim, demons are elohim, and men are elohim. Jesus is an Elohim as well. However, according to the Jews who are erasing text, throwing out text, and rejectors of Jesus, Jesus is the only one not an elohim. The hidden Son is an Elohim.
Let’s broaden our view of the spiritual realm around us. Jesus is getting out of a boat and a man comes running from far away and worships Jesus. This same man could not be bound with chains or tamed. People tried but the man broke through whatever bound him. Yet he was in the mountain tombs every night cutting himself. Why? There was something in the man. When Jesus saw the man come running he called out to the legion to come out of the man. The legion asked “What to me and you Jesus son of the Highest God?” The legion is asking Jesus what issue is there between them, as if to say that legion isn’t doing anything wrong, he has a right to be there. Legion then says “I charge solemnly Elohim, you not torture”. Legion acknowledges Jesus is the son of the Highest Elohim and then acknowledges Jesus as an Elohim who can torture him. That means Jesus is a higher Elohim than this group of demons who tortured this man. The demons had the awareness and understanding of who it was that they were dealing with, the hidden Son.
It seems odd that we have to learn who Jesus is via a legion of demons. Legion negotiates with Jesus, which further shows that Jesus is a higher Elohim than that group of demons. Let’s not misunderstand, the legion had some power, but technically they are the lowest elohim, and men with the Holy Spirit within have higher authority and have power over them as well. While men may not understand their position and rank in the spiritual realm, other spiritual beings know the power we have.
As we come back to David, we want to keep in mind the hidden son of the Highest God. We are supposed to be declaring Him, confessing Him to others.
Psalms 9:3 G1722 In G3588 the G654 turning G3588 G2190 of my enemy G1473 G1519 unto G3588 the G3694 rear, G770 they shall weaken G2532 and G622 be destroyed G575 from G4383 your face. G1473
“In the turn back my hateful into backwards, feeble and destroy utterly away from my face.”
David is calling for a judgment to be made against the hateful ones. He wants them turned around and backwards. He wants them feeble and utterly destroyed away from his own face. Yahweh will always see our enemies, no matter where they are. David on the other hand does not want to see them. In our vernacular he might say something like ‘get out of my face'.
Psalms 9:4 G3754 For G4160 you made G3588 G2920 my case G1473 G2532 and G3588 G1349 my cause. G1473 G2523 You sat G1909 upon G2362 the throne -- G3588 the one G2919 judging G1343 righteousness.
“Because make my divine judgment and my judicial hearing seated on throne judging righteousness.”
Yahweh is the one that David is speaking to. David says he wants Yahweh to decide on a situation that David was facing. David is asking for judgment. We rarely ask Yahweh for judgment on others because we are afraid of our own sin. The obvious key is for us to repent, and cover ourselves with the blood of Jesus. Then we should call out for judgment from Yahweh. All Yahweh is waiting for is for us to ask. If we don’t ask, they are not judged, even if our enemies always call for our judgment and we are judged. We have to learn to turn the tables, to be the first in the courts of heaven calling for Yahweh’s divine judgment. This should be intercession 101.
Psalms 9:5 G2008 You reproached G1484 nations, G2532 and G622 [3perished G3588 1the G765 2impious]. G3588 G3686 [2his name G1473 G1813 1You wiped away] G1519 into G3588 the G165 eon, G2532 and G1519 into G3588 the G165 eon G3588 of the G165 eon.
“Censure ethnos and destroy utterly the profane and their name erase into the age the ages.”
David is asking for Yahweh to reprimand the ethnic groups or nations and utterly destroy the profane. Instead of them being remembered for their evil works, David is asking for their name to be erased from the age into the ages. Notice that David is not saying anything like ‘Yahweh their punishment is up to you’, but David is calling on what type of punishment they should have.
It is important for some people to make a name for themselves. We will remember some evil people for the evil they have done. David is asking to erase these people from history, so that no one will know what evil deeds they did. Erasing people is better for future generations so that there are no copy cat crimes. David is asking for the nations to be strongly disciplined, utterly destroyed and then erased from history into the future. This is not a slap on the wrist, David wants them wiped out and painted over.
Psalms 9:6 G3588 [3of the G2190 4enemy G1587 5failed G3588 1The G4501 2broadswords] G1519 unto G5056 the end; G2532 and G4172 [2cities G2507 1you demolished]; G622 [2was destroyed G3588 G3422 1his memorial] G1473 G3326 with G2279 noise.
“The hateful fail utterly the scimitar into the fulfillment and city pull down destroy utterly their remembrance in the midst of a loud or confused noise.”
David now calls for the hateful to fail always and forever by the scimitar. A scimitar is a short blade or dagger, with the tip of the blade wider than the shaft, and this does more damage being pulled out of someone than going in. This infers two things. One, the way these hateful nations should be destroyed is by close contact with their enemy, so that they can see eye to eye with the one killing them. Two, the illusion of a small sword may at the moment of stabbing, give the idea that the hateful one might survive, until the blade is pulled out. This is how the hateful are to be murdered into the end of the ages. Jesus says that he comes to throw a dirk, a short bladed dagger, which sounds similar to what David is calling for.
The cities are to be pulled down, no buildings left standing. Then David says to utterly destroy any and all memories of them as the city collapses with a loud confused noise. We can imagine David is probably thinking about how Jericho was overcome. Amid all the confusion of noise and smoke, people with scimitars were killing off the hateful.
Shouldn’t we pray like David? Jesus came with a sword to divide. David is calling for judgment on the divided hateful people.
Psalms 9:7 G2532 And G3588 the G2962 lord G1519 [2into G3588 3the G165 4eon G3306 1abides]. G2090 He prepared G1722 [2for G2920 3judgment G3588 G2362 1his throne]. G1473
“And Yahweh into the age abide, make ready in divine judgment your throne.”
David says that Yahweh abides throughout the age. David says make ready divine judgment on Yahweh’s throne. David is expecting others to call on Yahweh to bring judgment. How many people were praying like David during David’s time? It is an interesting thought to ponder. We know the number is probably very small, even today. We simply haven’t been taught to call on judgment with specific focus for our enemies and the Yahweh rejecters.
Psalms 9:8 G2532 And G1473 he G2919 will judge G3588 the G3611 inhabitable world G1722 in G1343 righteousness. G2919 He shall judge G2992 peoples G1722 with G2118 uprightness.
“And he judge the dwelling in righteousness, judge people in uprightness.”
David is confident that Yahweh will judge fairly. He is sure that Yahweh will use an upright standard. What does that mean? If we notice in our courts today, judges can be unjust and bias. They may let someone off the hook easy and sentence another person harshly. Yahweh is not like human judges, we can trust him.
Psalms 9:9 G2532 And G1096 the lord became G2962 G2707.1 a refuge G3588 to the G3993 needy; G998 a helper G1722 at G2120 an opportune time G1722 in G2347 afflictions.
“And come into being Yahweh downward escape the day laborer, auxiliary in good season, in persecution.”
Even in David’s time the day laborer was considered to have Yahweh as a place of escape. Yahweh does in fact help the regular people whether in the good seasons or the seasons of persecution. A day laborer, penēs, is one who works or toils for a living. Whether we go to an office or to a field of blueberries, if we spend our day at work, we are day laborers. As day laborers, Yahweh is our helper and our refuge.
Psalms 9:10 G2532 And G1679 [4hope G1909 5upon G1473 6you G3588 1the ones G1097 2knowing G3588 G3686 3your name], G1473 G3754 for G3756 you abandoned not G1459 G3588 the ones G1567 seeking after G1473 you, G2962 O lord .
“And hope on you, come to know you by name, because not leave behind those seek out Yahweh.”
Those who seek out Yahweh will come to know Him by name. Yahweh will not leave them, the day laborers, behind. People who work for a living, rather than live off trust funds or live off the backs of others, regularly find themselves in turmoil. The day laborer learns to look to Yahweh for answers. Do we ask Yahweh for specific things or do we say ‘Yahweh you do it’? David shows us that we are to get specific. Map out what it is that you need from Yahweh, all of the details, and then petition the courts of heaven. Yahweh will not leave the day laborer who seeks Him, behind.
Psalms 9:11 G5567 Strum G3588 to the G2962 lord! G3588 to the one G2730 dwelling G1722 in G* Zion. G312 Announce G1722 among G3588 the G1484 nations G3588 G2006.1 his practices! G1473
“Play on a stringed instrument. Yahweh housed permanently in Zion. Announce in detail in the ethnos your clever ways.”
Again David calls for a stringed instrument to sing and make acknowledgement of Yahweh. He says that Yahweh is housed permanently in Zion. Let’s remember that Zion is not an ethereal place. The literal Zion was in Gibeon, the place where David brought the ark and made a tabernacle for it. The ark later moved three miles away to Jebus when Solomon built the temple. But at the time of David, the literal Zion was on a high hill in Gibeon. David says that Yahweh is housed in Zion. Technically David was not saying that was the only place Yahweh dwelt, but he was saying that Yahweh’s presence resided in the tabernacle at Gibeon. In David’s mind there was no reason that Yahweh would not dwell in Israel forever. David had no way of knowing the defilement that would occur in the temple for over three hundred years. The tabernacle was the place that the nations would learn about Yahweh’s clever ways, meaning His power, His judgments, His love for those who seek him, and for His dividing sword. The nations would also learn about the hidden Son of the Highest Elohim.
The last phrase should connect with the next phrase of verse 12.
Psalms 9:12 G3754 For G3588 the one G1567 requiring G3588 G129 their blood G1473 G3403 he remembered. G3756 He did not forget G1950 G3588 the G2906 cry G3588 of the G3993 needy.
“Because seek out my blood. Remember, not forget, the outcry the day laborer.”
‘Announce in detail in the ethnos your clever ways because seek out my blood.’ The nations, especially the Philistines, sought after David’s blood, but Zion was the place that they were to come to learn about Yahweh’s clever ways. David says to Yahweh to remember the outcry of the day laborer. During the times of the Judges, Israel went in and out of captivity under the Philistines. Many people became day laborers, workers in the Philistines fields. The Israelites could not rise up and be independent in those years. David is asking not to forget the outcry of the people. What would happen if David was murdered? The people would go into captivity again.
Many people do not understand the burden of being overtaken by another nation. The dominating nation usually does not look fondly on those they overtake. The overtaken nation becomes a nation of slaves to the dominant nation. Many people would say it is better to be under slavery than dead.
Today there are nations that simply treat people as cattle. Depending on the social class people are in, the least regarded people are used for labor, body parts, lusts, and experimentation. Yahweh hears their cries. An evil nation who does not know Yahweh should be called on before the throne of Yahweh, for judgment against their evil practices. David has a remedy for this that he will call for shortly.
Psalms 9:13 G1653 Show mercy on G1473 me, G2962 O lord! G1492 Behold G3588 G5014 my humiliation G1473 G1537 from G3588 G2190 my enemies! G1473 G3588 O one G5312 raising G1473 me G1537 from G3588 the G4439 gates G3588 G2288 of death.
“Your compassion Yahweh. Remember my low condition. From out of my hateful elevate me, from out of the gates death…”
Still in the courts of heaven, David reminds Yahweh of His compassion. He asks Yahweh to remember his low condition or David’s humility. David is asking to be elevated above the hateful people. He is asking to be risen out of the gates of death. We know from our study last week that David was indeed risen out of Abraham’s bay and into paradise when Jesus opened paradise.
Notice how David says the “gates of death” rather than Hades. We will understand this shortly.
Connect David’s last phrase with verse 14.
Psalms 9:14 G3704 so that G302 I should G1804 publish G3956 all G3588 G133 your praise G1473 G1722 at G3588 the G4439 gates G3588 of the G2364 daughter G* of Zion. G21 We will exult G1909 over G3588 G4992 your deliverance. G1473
“In order that announce publicly all my praise in the gates. Daughter Zion jump for joy upon my salvation.”
‘From out of the gates of death in order that announce publicly all my praise in the gates.’ David wants to publicly announce His praise in the gates of the city when he is delivered out of the gates of death. David is saying, ‘daughter of Zion, Israelites who worship Yahweh, jump for joy regarding David’s salvation from the gates of death.’ We can jump for joy over our salvation as well. David sees this deliverance from death, when the hidden Son of the Highest Elohim comes. The Messiah who will come from David is the one that we should be praising and confessing. David was announcing the salvation to come in songs sung in Zion. This is how people knew the future, they heard it in a song of acknowledgement.
David now goes back to the judgment of the nations.
Psalms 9:15 G1704.1 [2were stuck G1484 1 The nations] G1722 in G1312 corruption G3739 which G4160 they produced; G1722 by G3803 this snare G3778 G3739 which G2928 they hid G4815 [2was seized G3588 G4228 1their own foot]. G1473
“Implicated ethnos in destruction that manufacture in this trap that conceal apprehend their foot.”
Remember how David called for the enemy to be turned back and for their utter destruction? We see the nations, ethnic groups, are implicated in their own destruction. They manufactured a hidden trap and caught themselves. Isn’t this a great way to pray against our enemies? That the traps they set for us end up catching them?
Psalms 9:16 G1097 The lord is known G2962 G2917 [2judgments G4160 1by executing]; G1722 [4by G3588 5the G2041 6works G3588 G5495 7of his hands G1473 G4815 3is seized G3588 1the G268 2sinner]. G5603 AN ODE.
“Come to know Yahweh verdict. Make in labors their hand apprehend the sinners. Song.”
David says come to know Yahweh’s verdict. How can we know Yahweh’s verdict? We can see the hatful enemies catch their own foot, and apprehend other sinners. The enemies who attempt to harm us, end up tangled in their own trap, as they work to hide their crimes, they entangle other sinners. That’s how we know Yahweh’s verdict. David says “Let’s sing!”
Psalms 9:17 G654 Let [3be turned G3588 1the G268 2sinners] G1519 to G3588 G86 Hades! G3956 even all G3588 the G1484 nations G3588 G1950 forgetting G3588 G2316 God.
“Turn away the sinful into Hades, all the ethnos forget the Elohim.”
This is interesting. David just made the distinction between death and Hades. Two different places. As we know, Jesus has the keys to both. David calls on the courts of heaven to turn the sinful people into Hades, and the people who forget the Elohim. The judgment that David is calling for is in line with what Jesus said when he said he didn’t come to throw peace, but to throw a sword for dividing. There is a violent connotation to ballō, “cast” or “throw”, in the sense that Jesus coming to earth was not going to be all smiles, with popcorn and cotton candy. Like today’s politics, the hidden Son is polarizing and divisive in families. This is why David prays to eliminate the sinners and Yahweh rejecters into Hades. Conversely David is sure of his place in death, and that he will rise from the gates of death.
Psalms 9:18 G3754 For G3756 [4not G1519 6at G5056 7 the end G1950 3shall 5be forgotten G3588 1the G4434 2poor]; G3588 the G5281 patience G3588 of the G3993 needy ones G3756 shall not G622 perish G1519 to G5056 the end.
“Because not into the fulfillment forget the destitute steadfastness the day laborer not destroy into the fulfillment.”
The day laborer is to have endurance and steadfastness in their time on the earth, then they will not be destroyed into the fulfillment. The day laborer is also not forgotten, in the end, or at the end of the age. David is making a distinction that the day laborer is the honest worker, possibly poor, as compared to the sinful Elohim rejecters. Why would the day laborer who remembers and worships Yahweh be poorer on the earth than the sinner? Because the god of this world persecutes the day laborer and enriches the sinner so that people will follow the way of the sinner and Yahweh rejecters. The day laborer has a hiding place in Yahweh and seeks Him out.
Psalms 9:19 G450 Rise up, G2962 O lord, G3361 do not G2901 let [2overpower G444 1man]! G2919 Let [2be judged G1484 1 the nations] G1799 before G1473 you!
“Stand up Yahweh not empower manfaced, judge ethnos in the face of you.”
David calls for Yahweh to not empower men. When men are empowered they can be corrupted. David says judge the nations. When men forget the Elohim, they believe themselves to be the elohim. Men who do not believe there are spiritual powers and authorities over them believe that they are the rulers and authorities of the universe. The devil is perfectly happy to promote these people because it takes the eyes of the normal citizenry off of the Highest and His hidden Son. David then calls for a lawgiver over them.
Psalms 9:20 G2525 Place, G2962 O lord, G3550 a lawgiver G1909 over G1473 them! G1097 Let [2know G1484 1 the nations] G3754 that G444 they are men! G1510.2.6
“Set down Yahweh legislator on them, come to know ethnos because they are manfaced.”

νομοθέτης
The word nomothetēs is composed of νόμος nomos “distribute” or “parcel out” and τίθημι tithēmi “place” or “establish”. The legislator is to distribute and place laws and rules, or parcel out and establish laws and rules. David is asking for a spiritual legislator or lawgiver over the nations so that men do not rise up as “gods”. He is asking for the nations to be under laws and rules, governed over by angels, so that they behave themselves. In other words, just as Israel had laws, commands, spiritual, and societal rules, David is asking for the nations to be placed under laws as well, so that they can be judged against the laws and rules that they break. If the devil didn’t put the ethnos under any governing laws, they couldn’t be held accountable to breaking any laws. Israel however was being accused of not following the laws and covenants of Yahweh, by the devil. Therefore since the nations’ bad behaviors can’t be judged by Israel’s laws, David wants a legislator to put the nations under their own laws that they can be judged against.
David has revealed there is a hidden Son. He explains that we are to confess or make acknowledgement of Yahweh. Jesus says that if we confess Him before men, he will confess us before the Father and the angels. David says he will play an instrument to the Highest. We saw a demon leader named legion confess Jesus is the son of the Highest God, which then tells us that there are other lower gods, but also that Jesus is the hidden Son of the Most High. David asks for his enemies to be turned around and destroyed and then says that we can see Yahweh’s judgment when they ensnare themselves and entrap other sinners with them. David also reminds us that the day laborer is not forgotten and that by his endurance and steadfastness he is delivered. David notes the difference between death and Hades, death is for the righteous and they will rise up, while Hades is for the hateful sinners and Yahweh rejectors. David then asks for legislators to be given to the nations so that judgement can be made just as there is judgment coming against Israel. This one small Psalm encompasses such a great deal of knowledge for us to assimilate and understand. It gives us a better understanding of our role in intercession. This is the time into the fulfillment, the end of this age. Knowledge is being unlocked, and keys to warfare are being given to those who will use them.
