We have all been in situations where we thought we wanted something but then changed our mind and did something different. It doesn’t matter how many hours we spent planning and deciding on one thing, but when we changed our mind to something else it’s like we just flipped a switch so to speak. We can change our mind any time we want. Our enemies may not want us to change our mind, but we are the ones in control of our mind so we can change it whenever we want. The Bible tells us to forget our past, that our past is passed. Once we receive Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior and believe that he rose up on the third day, we are new and fresh people. We have evolved into higher thinking because our thinking is in the Spirit not in the flesh. Yahweh tells us to remember what he has done in the past, and then change our mind and turn our heart around. He also tells us to forget the sins of the past because nothing can change them, and then to focus on the future. Paul helps us by explaining that we are to renew our mind in the Spirit and put off the old man. The perspective that we should have is that those who are not in the Spirit but in the flesh are primitive and not worthy to rule over us. Their old man nature is corrupting and decaying. Yet our nature is new and fresh and it brings righteousness and holiness.
Paul is talking about our earthly bodies. He says that we long for heaven. Paul says that even though we are separated physically from Yahweh while we are on the earth we walk by faith not by sight. We do not have to be “in heaven” to know that we are a part of heaven, and will be there one day. He reminds us that we will stand before the judgment seat of Christ (Revelation 11) and that we will be judged as to what we did, and rewarded accordingly. This should persuade everyone to behave their best for Christ Jesus. It is because of the love of Christ Jesus that we are compelled to live for Him as he died for us. Then Paul comes back to his original point, that we do not know anyone by their flesh and that we do not know anything by the flesh, even Christ.

Here is the point, we do not “see” or “know” anything by the flesh. We don’t even “see” or “know” Christ by our flesh. Plenty of people know things by their flesh; they observe, they calculate, they plan, according to what they can know in the world. We who are in Christ however, have a new way to perceive and know things. It does not come by observing the world, it comes by listening to Christ.

We are formed new and fresh when we are in Christ. We are no longer primeval. Think that through. Those who refuse Christ are primeval. They are of a lower nature, a base primate, they are not an evolved human being. Paul is saying that we who are in Christ are evolved humans. We have a fresh foundation, we are new formations. We are not old primal humans, we are advanced beings with higher intelligence, because it does not stem from our own selves, it stems from Christ the risen Messiah. In other words, those who are not “in Christ” are lower life forms. Remember all the old Star Trek episodes where there were higher life forms and more evolved intelligences than those on the Enterprise? The base life form started after the fall of the adam. All men had to strive to find Yahweh. There were some prophets calling people to Yahweh throughout history. Now because of Jesus dying on the cross and rising up on the third day, all people can become a new, fresh, formation, or an evolved life form with higher intelligence.
Now look at the world through these new fresh eyes. What do you see? Do you see crude primeval beings trying to rule the world? Do you see crude primeval beings trying to erase Yahweh from society? At the beginning of the movie 2001: A Space Odyssey we see a race of primate type beings chased away from a watering hole by another group of primate type beings. The next morning, the first group of primates wake up to find a monolith. Mysterious “beings” with higher intelligence brought the monolith to earth to work in the minds of the primitive creatures to increase their intellectual capacity. The first group of primate beings learn how to use a femur bone as a weapon, killing one enemy, and driving the other enemies away. The idea is that the benevolent higher evolved monolith beings helped to evolve the primitive primates so that they became dominant in the land.
Satanas wants us to believe that we were created as primitive primates and that he and his influencers are here to help us. There are people who think that there are higher intelligent beings that have come to the earth to help humans evolve. No, it’s just Satanas and his fallen host. The Watchers failed in there mission. Today humans who believe on Christ have the Holy Spirit dwelling within as well as Christ himself. While angels are sent to minister to the heirs of salvation, the heirs of salvation have more spiritual power within than angels do. Does the Holy Spirit indwell angels? Does Christ indwell angels?
Satanas didn’t need a monolith to influence the minds of humankind he instead used angelic beings. While in our primal stages humanity didn’t understand the spiritual influencers of the past. After the fall of the adam humans turned away from Yahweh regularly. Today we know what the Watchers did. They helped lead humankind away from Yahweh. The influencers, fallen angels, tried to create their own race of beings. They partially succeeded, but the flood ended the big hybrid program and it has gone undercover ever since. The perverted genos that died in the flood did not have a place for their spirits to go, as they were bastard spirits, not of Yahweh’s creation. What humans may think are benevolent sentient beings trying to help humanity are truly bastard spirits spawned from the Watchers. What are ghosts? What are apparitions? What are spirit guides? What are evil spirits? The primeval beings are ruled by what they do not understand. But we are new creations in Christ. We do not look at the flesh and we are not controlled by the flesh. We are evolved beings with authority. We are new formations.
No one can know anything from heaven down to earth in the flesh unless they are of Christ. Without the Holy Spirit residing in us we are primeval primates under the subjection of evil spirits.

The word presbeuō translated “ambassador” is not just a representative of Christ in Satanas’s world. It also means that we are elders or seniors, and that we take precedence in Satanas’ world. In our day no one really seems to care about ambassadors from each country. They have no influence unless there is a crisis and they become a link in a telephone game between nations. But to be a presbeuō means that we are more important than the non-Christ people. It means that we have more seniority over the primeval primitive beings. We don’t need a femur bone, we have the authority of the name of Christ. This is where we should direct our mind. This is what we are to think on as a new creature in Christ. Our position is not below the primeval primates of the world, our position is as an influencer above the primitive ones.
Now here a the key to understanding. The past is past. It is gone. Do not dwell on the past. Do not attach emotions to the past. Forget your past mistakes and forgive yourself for making those mistakes. Forget about those who wronged you and forgive those who wronged you. Detach your emotions from those events and let them go. They cannot be relived, they cannot be undone, and they cannot reconcile you to Christ. Once you were a primitive primate but now you are senior representative for Christ reconciling others to Him by what He did for all of us. The sins of the past are past. Live better. The only ones who bring up the past are evil spirits. Instead of counting our sins, Jesus came to reconcile us by His blood. All of us are guilty of putting Jesus on the cross via our sins, but once we came to know Him, we are In Christ. The past is out of sight and we are newly formed, fresh creatures in Him.
Sometimes those who know your past want you to live in your past forever. No, you have a fresh foundation. Either make your new life in Christ clear to old friends and family or move on. Eventually people will see you as a new creation, especially if they too have become new in Christ. Whatever path the Holy Spirit leads you on, just keep moving forward. There is nothing in the past anymore.
Judah had this problem. In Isaiah’s time the nation was floundering, turning away from Yahweh. Even though people will go into captivity, for their own good, Yahweh tells them that they will be brought back to Israel. Not in a manmade politically contrived way, but in a grand way, gathered from the heavens and earth at the start of Jesus’ millennial kingdom.
In context Isaiah is saying that Israel will be ransomed. He inserts points about the exodus and reiterates them as a future event. Isaiah is pointing out that at the end of the age, after the tribulation, all the people will be gathered from all nations, and like the exodus, they can walk through rivers. Yahweh says to fear not because he is with them. Yet during Isaiah’s time into Judah’s near future, Judah went into captivity. It was for their benefit. In this way Yahweh could introduce their King.

Judah’s problem was that they went to sleep. All nations go to sleep before their demise. This is why they are extinguished. Awakening is painful.

Instead of remembering the old days that brought them into captivity Yahweh says to forget the past and the times of the ancients. Do not try to combine the recent past and the far past together. Do not try and reconcile what went wrong. Instead look ahead.

Yahweh says to not waste time thinking about the past, trying to put those pieces together. Do not try and reason, or discuss, or compute, the far past and the recent past. Why? Because they can’t fix it. They cannot atone for all the sins of the people from the time of the exodus. There is nothing they can do to change their situation. Collectively, all the sins of the people turning away from Yahweh sealed their destiny in captivity. The people of the present generation could not change what was already done. Instead, Yahweh gives them hope/expectation. The temple had been defiled for over four hundred years. The northern kingdom was already in captivity. The people did not keep the passovers or feasts regularly. Even if they were the most holy generation and were keeping all the laws, they could not prevent their upcoming captivity. Yahweh says to forget it all and look ahead. Make the future better than the past.

Look to the new things that Yahweh will do. What new things? The new things that He brings back from all corners of the heavens and earth. The new things that will happen during the millennial reign. When we attempt to quote verse 19 out of context we misunderstand that this is prophetic for the far future, for the time period after the tribulation, not the time period before the tribulation. How many people attempt quoting this and appropriating this for our time? There is no new thing now. Judah went into captivity for their own good and to bring forth the Messiah, their king. But in all of the hard times, in all of the societal decline, in all the captivity that Israel has gone through, Yahweh says to fear not. Yahweh will not remember their sins. However, because of their transgressions and defilements Yahweh turned them over to their enemies.

This brings us back to the point that we are a new creation. We do not need to remember the old days before we came to know Christ, any more than Judah needed to remember the old days of their rejecting Yahweh. Instead, for Judah, Yahweh will do a new thing. For those in Christ, we are a new thing. We don’t need to fret as to whether we will be gathered from the four corners of the earth to Jerusalem, we will instead be kings and priests on the earth.
There are some things that we are supposed to remember and that we should think on. In the context of Isaiah 46 Yahweh is comparing Bel and the Dagon who are both dead weight compared to himself. These were gods of Babylon and many years later Daniel destroyed both of them.

Yahweh announces prior, or before things happen, the things of the past that are last before it takes place and is completed. Think about the Day of the Lord at the end of the tribulation. Think about the millennial kingdom when He brings them back. The New Heaven and New Earth was also known long ago. The disciples asked Jesus about it because they were confused over the timing. All the things that Yahweh spoke to us through his prophets will come to pass, not in a haphazard way, but in a planned and orderly way. In the Book of Revelation He uses ordinal numbers for a reason. He planned it that way. Three does not come before one. Two comes after one, but before three. Order. Planning.
What is it that we are to remember about Yahweh from the past ages? We should remember His relationship with Abraham, where he walked and talked with Abraham as a friend. We should remember how he spared Joseph, how he directed Jacob, how he guided Moses. These things are what we remember from the ancient ages. We can write our own history of the times Yahweh delivered us, or healed us, or poured out his favor on us. We can think on those things. But our own past sins we can simply forget.
We have summed up what we should not think on, such as our past, our sin, our mistakes, or the mistakes of our nation. We are to think on what things Yahweh has done in the past ages and what he has done for us now. Let’s come back to our higher evolved selves because we are newly and freshly formed. Paul tells us that there is no condemnation to those who are “In Christ”.

Think. Do not think in the flesh. Think in the Spirit. Why? Because we are new creations, with a higher evolutionary mental faculty. We only “know” things from the Holy Spirit, not from the black monolith, or the evil spirits. Walk and think in the Spirit.

Thoughts in the flesh are death. There is no profit to them. Stop thinking about worthless things. Everyone wants life and peace, and through the Holy Spirit we can have life and peace in our thoughts. Chaotic thoughts are not submitted to the Holy Spirit.

No one wants to hate God, at least no one who considers themselves saved, but our thoughts can be hatred in God. The only things we can control in life are ourselves, our minds, our emotions, our thoughts, and our bodies. We cannot control much else, so we might as well become good at controlling ourselves. The law never constrained anyone to think correctly. Once people were told the laws they thought about ways to get around them. Instead, those thoughts of not submitting to the law are the same as thoughts of the flesh. Death and hatred.

Well that is easy to understand; fleshy thoughts are hatred toward God. One will not please the one he/she hates.

Paul says that we are in the Spirit. If we are of the Spirit we can please God. Paul sums it up.

If is the optimal word. If we are in Christ the Spirit of Christ is in us. This means the flesh is dead. Stop relying on dead flesh and learn to rely on the Spirit. The Spirit brings life through righteousness. We are no longer primeval primates in need of evil spirits or fallen demonic influencers to be coached into higher dimensions of knowledge. We have the knowledge of Christ and the Holy Spirit in us. We are superior to those who are of the old formation. Without getting a prideful attitude we should live this way. Paul helps us understand by explaining the old man.

The old man, the primeval primitive soul that is not a believer in Christ is spoiled or depraved because of the yearning of delusions and deceptions. We were there once. This is why the primeval primitive human should not rule over the evolved Spirit filled Christian. The primeval primitive human is corrupting and decaying because they are deceived, and they like it. We all had a flesh loving old nature that was corrupting. But we became new and fresh in Christ. Now if we are in Christ, we must live as new evolved humans with spiritual knowledge.

Renew, reform, renovate, the Spirit of our mind. We regenerate our spirit with the Holy Spirit in our intellect. We renovate our mind with the Holy Spirit. We do it. We toss out the old man and clothe ourselves with the new man.

Now, be clothed in the new fresh man. Do it. Put it on like clothes. With the clothes of the new man on, the Elohim creates us in righteousness and holiness and truth. The old man is the old ways, the old behaviors, and the old thought patterns. The new man starts in our mind, guarding our thoughts, changing our old ways, and not partaking in our old behaviors. We change our mind and turn our heart around to Yahweh.
Satanas wants us to behave like primeval primates, with a corrupting and decaying nature. He wants us to be broken flesh that can be influenced by the evil spirits under his command. Instead we are Senior Ambassadors with evolved higher intelligence because we are In Christ. We make the decisions as to how we think, what we think, and what we spend time thinking on. We can renovate our mind. We are new and fresh humans in Christ. The past has passed on and we are to look ahead to the new things that Yahweh will do in the future. We are new humans in Christ clothed in righteousness, sacredness, and truth. Run to Yahweh.
