Jesus Teaches Harpazo; Snatched into the Kingdom of Heaven; Keys to Bind; Unlock the Way

We have been looking at our authority and our opportunity to imprecate enemies of Yahweh and our enemies. Our position is above snakes, scorpions, and the enemies power. We have exousia, or exercised power as a superhuman ruler or a supra-mundane potentate with the demons under our feet. Jesus explains the least and the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven and we see that we are to serve an injunction to sin but also to manufacture more disciples. We are to produce them over and over. We have a verse that we repeat about the Kingdom of Heaven being under violent assault, which is not translated quite right. But what is even more fascinating is that while modern translators do not translate this correctly, Jesus may have been giving us a clue with a shadow meaning. Jesus gives us the timing of the age that we are living in. And as  at times we have to dig deep into this subject, we will take the time to break down these ideas. What we will find is that Jesus taught the harpazo to his disciples and the age we are currently living in. Jesus also gave us keys, and told us that the religious leaders were keeping people out of the Kingdom of Heaven.

Why are some verses mistranslated? As we know, there are people who have opinions regarding what they believe and they want the Bible to align with their opinions. Instead of changing the Bible to accommodate our opinions we should change our opinions to align with the Bible, regardless of what the differences are. What we do find with mistranslated verses is that the ideas recorded are factually important. This is another reason that verses are sometimes obscured, the prince of this world would rather we did not understand the Holy Spirit’s words.

In Matthew 11 we see Jesus explaining the Kingdom of Heaven. At the time John sends some messengers to Jesus. Jesus tells the messengers to tell John what is going on. Jesus and John were cousins. Both had gone through Essene schooling until they were thirty. John was preaching that the Messiah was coming. It sounds odd that John would send people to ask the question whether Jesus was the Messiah, or if another one was coming, especially after we read The Gospel of John 1. John was already convinced of Jesus being the Messiah. To Matthew it seemed as if John’s messengers were questioning Jesus, as to who he was, but really John was questioning if this was his own time to die. John wanted to know if he was going to be released from prison or not. If Jesus was walking as Messiah, John was no longer needed. If we notice, Jesus did not go to Jerusalem when John was put in prison, but instead went to Galilee which is about ninety miles north from Jerusalem. Jesus did not seem impressed to go save John, his cousin. Why? John had a purpose, and he fulfilled it. We might remember that John prophesied of Jesus while still in Elizabeths womb. It is an amazing prophecy of the Messiah and it was done at six months in utero. Maybe we haven’t recognized the importance of unborn infants yet. Malachi prophesied of John.

Malachi 3:Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me:…

The Holy Bible: King James Version. (2009). (Electronic Edition of the 1900 Authorized Version., Mal 3). Bellingham, WA: Logos Research Systems, Inc.

With this in mind, Jesus then asks the people who they went into the desert to see, a king with nice soft clothes, or a prophet? He then says that there isn’t anyone greater born from a woman than John, but that the least in the Kingdom of Heaven, the mikron, the smallest, micron, is megas, or larger, mega, than John. Notice what Jesus taught on the mountains.

Matthew 5:19 G3739 Who G1437 ever G3767 then G3089 should untie G1520 one G3588 of the G1785 [3commandments G3778 2of these G3588   G1646 1least], G2532 and G1321 shall teach G3779 [2so G3588   G444 1men], G1646 [2least G2564 1shall be called] G1722 in G3588 the G932 kingdom G3588 of the G3772 heavens. G3739 And who G1161   G302 ever G4160 should do G2532 and G1321 should teach, G3778 this one G3173 [2great G2564 1shall be called] G1722 in G3588 the G932 kingdom G3588 of the G3772 heavens.

“That if haply really loosen one the injunction this the smallest and teach in the manner the manfaced the smallest called in the Kingdom the Heaven but that manufacture and teach this great called in the Kingdom the Heaven”.

Jesus says that if we loosen or release people from the injunction then we are the smallest. An injunction is a legal restraint to keep someone from continuing in a particular action. This is important. If we teach manfaced how to be free from their sins then these teachers will be called the smallest in the Kingdom of Heaven. But those who manufacture and teach or produce disciples and teach freedom from sins, that one is called “greatest”. Now why was John the least or smallest? John taught manfaced how to be free from sin, but John was not manufacturing or making disciples. In other words, it is not enough to teach people how to cease and desist from sin, it is also important to teach people how to manufacture or make disciples, over and over and over again. John did not teach people how to be disciples, because that was not available until Jesus came. This is not a sleight on John, but an explanation of the Kingdom and the time period.

Jesus then says that for the last six months, the Kingdom of Heaven uses force. However, the the modern translations make it sound as if heaven is under violent attack and that we are fighting for a prize.

Matthew 11:12 And from the days of John the Baptist until the present time, the kingdom of heaven has endured violent assault, and violent men seize it by force [as a precious prize—a share in the heavenly kingdom is sought with most ardent zeal and intense exertion].

The Amplified Bible. (1987). (Mt 11:12). La Habra, CA: The Lockman Foundation.

One of the reasons this verse is hard to understand is that the Kingdom of Heaven is not under an assault. The heavens are under an assault amongst the sons of God, but the Kingdom of Heaven is not assaulted. No one is using a battering ram against the gates of the Kingdom of Heaven. Neither do we see many violent people sitting in church. In fact it is rather hard to get a church that is full of people, fired up for Jesus. Can Drakōn or Satanas seize heaven? Can they overthrow the Father or the Son? No. There is an innumerable heavenly host, at a ratio of two to one, there is no created being who can overthrow the Father or the Son. Can we humans seize heaven? Can we overtake it so that we can enter in on our own terms? No. Are we to make weapons to attempt to steal it from God as Nimrod did? How are we to seize it like a prize? The parenthetical explanation tries to soften the idea that we do the seizing. But maybe we don’t. Instead the Greek says something different.

Matthew 11:12 G575 And from G1161   G3588 the G2250 days G* of John G3588 the G910 Baptist G2193 until G737 just now G3588 the G932 kingdom G3588 of the G3772 heavens G971 is forced, G2532 and G973 [2by assailants G726 1is snatched]. G1473

“But away from the days John the Baptizer until at this moment the Kingdom the Heaven uses force and one who uses force harpazo it”.

The Kingdom of Heaven itself uses force. The one who uses force snatches it. Notice the word “it”. What does the “it” refer to?The “it” suggests that forceful people seize the Kingdom of Heaven. But let’s look at the LXX-WH

https://studybible.info/LXX_WH/Matthew%2011

846 αὐτός

autos ow-tos' From the particle αὖ au (perhaps akin to the base of G109 through the idea of a baffling wind; backward); the reflexive pronoun self, used (alone or in the compound of G1438) of the third person, and (with the proper personal pronoun) of the other persons

KJV Usage: her, it (-self), one, the other, (mine) own, said, ([self-], the) same, ([him-, my-, thy-]) self, [your-] selves, she, that, their (-s), them ([-selves]), there [-at, -by, -in, -into, -of, -on, -with], they, (these) things, this (man), those, together, very, which.

“But away from the day John the Baptizer until at this moment the Kingdom the Heaven uses force and one who uses force harpazo them”

The word “them” is a third person pronoun, suggesting people, not a thing. According to Robinson’s Morphological Analysis Codes, 846 P-ASF is as follows: personal pronoun. It is in the accusative case. The number is singular and the gender is feminine. “Them” marks the verb harpazo. Harpazo is a V-PAI-3P, a present, active, indicative, third person, plural. Who are the “them” that the one who uses force is harpazo-ing? The Church, “them” who have repented and believe. The Church is always a “she”, feminine, and the bride of Christ.

The “it” 1473 P-GS is a pronoun, genitive case, and is singular. “It” marks the noun, Kingdom. Some Greek translators use 1473 as generally and as often as possible, while the LXX-WH is more specific in its pronoun form. The proper personal pronoun here is “them”.

There seems to be two different thoughts here. One is from the day that John started baptizing people until that time when Jesus was speaking, approximately six months, the Kingdom of Heaven uses force. If the Kingdom of Heaven is using force it is using force on the kingdom of Satanas. It is entering into Satanas’ kingdom, freeing captives by their own repentance and baptism. That is a heavenly assault on the prince of this world’s kingdom. The Kingdom of Heaven harpazo’s by force the dead in Christ who will rise first and the living who will join them in the air.

The second thought is that the one using force harpazo’s the repentant ones, who are now in a new age. “And one who uses force harpazo’s them.” This tells us that someone is snatching “them” away by force.

Either someone in the Kingdom of Heaven uses force to harpazo “them” or uses force to harpazo “it”, the Kingdom of Heaven. The Kingdom of Heaven is not harpazo’d. No one snatches away the Kingdom of Heaven. Who does the snatching in the Kingdom? Is it us or is it Jesus? We know from Paul’s writings that Jesus calls us and then we are harpazo’d. We humans cannot snatch up heaven, we cannot decide we are going there and push our way in without believing in Christ as our Lord and believing that he rose up on the third day. However we do have to fight for it. We have to fight for our faith every day. This is a weird statement to make in the middle of explaining John the Baptist. But there is more.

Where do the “them” get harpazo’d to? The Kingdom of Heaven, the subject of the statement. This is a bigger picture than we understand. The Kingdom of Heaven uses force and the one using force snatches away “them” into the Kingdom of Heaven. So the hidden understanding here is Jesus explaining the harpazo to his disciples early in his ministry. Jesus lays out the previous age and the new age, and when the new age expires.

Why was the Kingdom under force only for the last six months? John was out of school six months before Jesus. John was turning the place upside down calling for people to repent. John was loosing people from sin with and injunction, repentance. What was fighting against the Kingdom of Heaven? The kingdom of Satanas. John was emptying out hell, so to speak. People were being baptized as to renewing their lives for the Lord so that when Jesus came, their hearts would be prepared. For nearly four thousand years the majority of people were filling hades because they did not repent. There were hardly any passovers, there were not many celebrating the fall feasts, and most people believed that the Messiah was not coming. John prepared the way for the Lord for six months. The Kingdom of Heaven was invading the earth.

Matthew 11:13 G3956 For all G1063   G3588 the G4396 prophets G2532 and G3588 the G3551 law G2193 [2until G* 3John G4395 1prophesied].

“For all the Prophets and the Mosaic Law foretold until John”

Jesus explains that the Law and the Prophets are an “age” up to the time of John. All the things prophesied about the Messiah and the things written as Laws so that people could keep themselves sanctified were until John came to baptize. This is the change in the age that Jesus is mentioning.

Matthew 11:14 G2532 And G1487 if G2309 you want G1209 to receive, G1473 he G1510.2.3 is G* Elijah, G3588 the one G3195 being about G2064 to come.

“And whether desire receive he is Elijah the about to come”.

Again we have a slight variation in translation here.

“And whether desire receive them he is Elijah the about to come”.

Who is the “them”? The Law and the Prophets. Jesus says that if you wish or desire to accept the Law and the Prophets then Elijah is about to come. Jesus is encompassing the age he just mentioned. The prior age is the Law and the Prophets. The new age is from the time that John started calling for repentance and baptizing people. During that age someone will use force to harpazo “them”. The conclusion of the new age is Elijah and Enoch coming to earth.

What did Malachi say?

Malachi 4:5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the great and terrible day of the Lord comes. [Matt. 11:14; 17:10-13.]

6 And he shall turn and reconcile the hearts of the [estranged] fathers to the [ungodly] children, and the hearts of the [rebellious] children to [the piety of] their fathers [a reconciliation produced by repentance of the ungodly], lest I come and smite the land with a curse and a ban of utter destruction. [Luke 1:17.]

The Amplified Bible. (1987). (Mal 4:5–6). La Habra, CA: The Lockman Foundation.

Elijah and Enoch will come to earth when the saints are harpazo’d. They will be on the earth for three and one half years, and then they will be called up to heaven to join the saints during the coronation of Jesus. If we put these ideas together we see a bigger picture. Before John the Baptist came there was the Law and the Prophets. At the time that Jesus is speaking, the prior six months, the Kingdom of Heaven uses force and the one who uses force harpazos them. If one accepts the Law and the Prophets that one understands that Elijah is going to come before the Day of the Lord.

“But away from the day John the Baptizer until at this moment the Kingdom the Heaven uses force and one who uses force harpazo them. For all the Prophets and the Mosaic Law foretold until John. And whether desire receive them he is Elijah the about to come”.

Jesus gave everyone the plan for the next two thousand years. Humans mixed it up, but this is the plan. At this time we are awaiting the harpazo. On that day Elijah and Enoch will come down to earth. This is the age that we are in. The age will change when the redeemed are harpazo’d. John prepared the way for people to accept Jesus. He told people that Jesus was the Messiah

Matthew 11:15 G3588 The one G2192 having G3775 ears G191 to hear, G191 let him hear!

“The having ears to hear, listen.”

Jesus suggest that if you can hear, then you should listen. We are not violently taking the Kingdom of Heaven, neither is anyone else. The devil and the satan are not violently taking the Kingdom of Heaven, they simply can’t, they are created beings. They do not have the power. The Kingdom of Heaven uses force and the one using force harpazo’s the redeemed.

The heavens are a violent place, but not the Kingdom of Heaven. The heavens, the places where the hosts of heaven reside, is a place of war. The one who uses force to harpazo the church is violent. There is a reason it is a violent action, the redeemed are being taken out of the possession of the god of this world. The harpazo’d saints will no longer live under Satanas’ rule. The harpazo’d saints will not be oppressed and will come to know the fullness of what we were called to.

Matthew 16:19 G2532 And G1325 I will give G1473 to you G3588 the G2807 keys G3588 of the G932 kingdom G3588 of the G3772 heavens; G2532 and G3739 whatever G1437   G1210 you should have bound G1909 upon G3588 the G1093 earth, G1510.8.3 it shall be G1210 have been bound G1722 in G3588 the G3772 heavens; G2532 and G3739 what G1437 ever G3089 you should have untied G1909 upon G3588 the G1093 earth, G1510.8.3 it shall G3089 have been untied G1722 in G3588 the G3772 heavens.

“And I give the key the Kingdom the Heaven that if bind/tie/fetter on the earth it will be bind/tie/fetter in the heaven and that if loose/untie/release/destroy on the earth it will be loose/untie/release/destroy in the heaven”.

We have the key of judgment. The key is given for those about to be harpazo’d to the Kingdom of Heaven. With the key we can bind, or tie, or chain, things on the earth and they will be bound, tied, or chained, in heaven. This is like locking a door. However this is not taking place in the Kingdom of Heaven, but in the heavens, where the sons of God war amongst one another. The Kingdom of Heaven is what we see in Revelation 4 but the war is in the heavens as Daniel 10 explains. The key also unlocks, and it can loose, untie, release, or destroy, on earth and in heaven. In other words, what we lock or unlock on the earth is mirrored in the heavens. This key is given as judgment against principalities, powers, demons, and the other fallen sons of God. Therefore the key to the Kingdom of Heaven is to lock and unlock on the earth and heaven.

Jesus calls out the religious leaders for keeping people from entering the Kingdom of Heaven. Why would religious leaders want to do that? Because they are not serving The Elohim but a lower elohim, they are serving Satanas. We have a key for a reason.

Matthew 23:14 G3759 Woe G1473 to you G1122 scribes G2532 and G* Pharisees, G5273 hypocrites, G3754 for G2808 you lock G3588 the G932 kingdom G3588 of the G3772 heavens G1715 before G3588   G444 men; G1473 for you G1063   G3756 do not G1525 enter in, G3761 nor G3588 the ones G1525 entering G863 do you allow G1525 to enter.

“Woe! you scribes and Pharisees, hypocrite/actor/pretender that shut the Kingdom the Heaven before the face the manfaced, for you not go in/enter, but not the go in/enter, send away/discharge, go in/enter”.

The scribes and pharisees were closing the way into the Kingdom of Heaven for people. Yet they do not enter into the Kingdom of Heaven. What they do is they tell people to follow them to enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but they don’t enter and they send away those who are entering in. The point is that they knowingly and willingly send people to hell by telling people to follow them (the scribes and Pharisees). Remember it is not enough to teach people to stop sinning, but they have to become disciples. The people think that they are being discipled and that they are going to enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but they are not entering, they are discharged from entering. We can see that Jesus was not shy about telling religious leaders that they were simply actors and that they were leading people to hell. The scribes and Pharisees were teaching a distorted religion. We have the key; lock the door on the scribes and Pharisees of our age and unlock the door for the people. On the earth as in the heavens.

If we remember, we are the ones created, due to Jesus’ manifold or multifaceted wisdom, to announce the demise of the fallen sons of God.

Ephesians 3:10 G2443 that G1107 should be made known G3568 now G3588 to the G746 sovereignties G2532 and G3588 to the G1849 authorities G1722 among G3588 the G2032 heavenlies G1223 through G3588 the G1577 assembly, G3588 the G4182 multifarious G4678 wisdom G3588   G2316 of God,

  11 G2596 according to G4286 the intention G3588 of the G165 eons, G3739 which G4160 he made G1722 in G5547 Christ G* Jesus G3588   G2962 our Lord; G1473

“In order that explain now at this very time the original rulers (archē) and the authorities (exousia) in the heavens by means of the church (ekklēsia) the multifarious wisdom the Elohim downwards setting forth as show-bread the age which manufacture in the Messiah Jesus the Yahweh of us”.

What is being explained at this very time? The age that was made in the Messiah Jesus. Who is it being explained to? The rulers and authorities, or the fallen beings in Satanas’ government. There is a hierarchal order in Satanas’ kingdom. Drakōn has goaded many spiritual sons of God to fall. The reason that the earth is in the mess that it is in, is due to those angels who sinned, and the installed leaders over the earth who are specifically mimicking the angels set over every nation by Yahweh. How is this new age being explained to Satanas’ principalities and powers? The Church is the explanation of the multifarious wisdom of the Elohim. The Church is set forth before the Elohim as if we are the table of show bread in the temple. The shewbread is the bread of the presence, we are an offering, exposed before the Elohim. In this age the church is set in front of the presence of the Elohim as Messiah Jesus is Lord of us. We were made to announce to the rulers and authorities in Satanas’ kingdom that we are in a new age. The rulers and authorities no longer have authority over Christian people. The rulers and authorities cannot keep us from the Kingdom of Heaven. Because Jesus is our Lord we now are on display before the Elohim.

What exactly are we announcing to the rulers and authorities? That they have failed. That the Kingdom of Heaven will forcefully seize those entering in. That we have the keys to bind and loose on the earth which is mirrored in heaven. We are not only sending a “cease and desist” to sin, we are manufacturing more disciples. We are shutting down the false religious leaders who are hypocrites and actors, who obstruct the way to the Kingdom of Heaven.

As we saw, the scribes and Pharisees are not entering the Kingdom of Heaven. Jesus also said that if we do not use what we have been given we may not enter the Kingdom of Heaven either. Jesus explained this in the parable of the talents. His servants would be given some “money” and they were expected to do something with it.

Matthew 25:15 G2532 And G3739 to one G3303   G1325 he gave G4002 five G5007 talents, G3739 and to another G1161   G1417 two, G3739 and to another G1161   G1520 one, G1538 to each G2596 according to G3588 his own G2398   G1411 ability; G2532 and G589 he traveled abroad G2112 immediately.

“And that truly gave five talents/balance, but that two, but that one, each downwards the one’s own strength (dunamis) and be away from home immediately.”.

The word according is the word kata, “downward". The word ability is the word dunamis, “miracle working power”. The servants are given their own downward dunamis, their own miracle working power from heaven down to them. They received dunamis and were then expected to do something with it. Then the man giving out the talents departed. We understand that the person given one talent did not do anything with his money, instead he buried it. He was not faithful over what he was given.

Matthew 25:29 G3588   G1063 For G2192 to every one having G3956   G1325 shall be given, G2532 and G4052 shall abound; G575 but from G1161   G3588 the one G3361 not G2192 having, G2532 even G3739 what G2192 he has G142 shall be taken G575 from G1473 him.

“For the have all give and be over and above, but way from the not have and that have take up away from him”.

Those that have used their talents have over and above. The master will take away from those who did not use their talents. This is fascinating. Jesus is telling us to use what we have which was given according to our own strength. He gave us an amount according to our own power, and he will be returning shortly. When he does return, what will happen to those who want to enter the Kingdom of Heaven who did not manufacture or make more with what was given?

Matthew 25:30 G2532 And G3588 [2the G888 3useless G1401 4servant G1544 1cast out] G1519 into G3588   G4655 [2darkness G3588   G1857 1outer]! G1563 There, G1510.8.3 there will be G3588 the G2805 weeping G2532 and G3588   G1030 gnashing G3588 of the G3599 teeth.

“And the useless/unprofitable/good for nothing bondman throw/banish into the darkness the outer/outmost in that place will be the weeping/lamentation and the grinding/grating the teeth”.

We see that people are given a sum of money and those that use it to manufacture will have more. The point is to use whatever the Lord gave you to bring more people into the Kingdom of Heaven. John prepared the way for the Lord but he did not bring people to the knowledge of Jesus as Messiah. John did the first part of Matthew 5:19, he taught people how to have an injunction over sins. He did not manufacture or produce more disciples.

The man who had not used the money that the master gave him to manufacture more disciples was thrown into outer darkness where people will be lamenting and grinding their teeth. They had an opportunity to use what was given to them but they did not use it. It will be sad for them not to be in the Kingdom of Heaven.

We see that those who are the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven do two things, they loose people with and injunction and they manufacture more disciples. Jesus says that the Kingdom of Heaven is forceful and the one using force will harpazo the redeemed. Jesus explains that the age of the Law and the Prophets is over, but if you believe them, you understand that Elijah is coming. We have the key to the Kingdom of Heaven, and we use it to bind or loose on the earth and that will also be done in the heavens. We have great power to affect the heavenly war. Jesus told the scribes and Pharisees that they were not going to enter the Kingdom of Heaven and also points out that they are keeping others from entering as well. The Church is the announcement that the battle has been won. If the enemy doesn’t forfeit we have to play out every move where the enemy hopes we will make a mistake. But we are not foolish, we will use whatever talents that the Elohim gave us so that we can produce more disciples. We will continue until the one using force snatches us away.
