David’s words in Psalm 110 are like a winter torrent of water where we are to drink. It is fascinating to read David’s prophecies regarding Jesus. David realized who the Messiah was and put himself into a position of serving his own heir. David’s heirs should have been serving him, however David is excited to know the Messiah as his Lord. What this tells us is that David recognized the hierarchy of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit and recognized the need for the Messiah to have an earthly lineage which would come through him. Yet David spoke with Yahweh all the time. He went to the courts of heaven demanding justice from Yahweh Elohim on behalf of his situations. David developed his relationship with Yahweh Elohim and fulfilled the things that Yahweh called him to do by prayers and supplications. This is why David recognized the future Messiah as his own Lord. David wrote over 4,000 Psalms, yet we have only canonized 73. Did someone destroy David’s prophecies because they resembled Jesus? The last person the Jews wanted as their Messiah was Jesus and they spent time and effort attempting to erase Jesus from the words of the prophets.
Jesus asked the Pharisees a question to expand their thinking by quoting David’s 110th Psalm. Jesus asks them about the Christ, the Messiah.
Matthew 22:41-46 (KJV)
41 While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them,
42 Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? They say unto him, The Son of David.
43 He saith unto them, How then doth David in spirit call him Lord, saying,
44 The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool?
45 If David then call him Lord, how is he his son?
46 And no man was able to answer him a word, neither durst any man from that day forth ask him any more questions.
While the Pharisees recognized that the Messiah would come from David’s line, they did not understand (as David and Jesus both understood) that the Messiah was also divine, existing in heaven before he would come to earth. David was calling the Messiah, Yahweh, Lord. The Pharisees did not want anyone to realize that Jesus was from David’s lineage because as they recognized the miracles Jesus did, they also were afraid that he really was the Messiah, the Christ, who is David’s Lord. While Jesus looked like an ordinary man, he opened blind eyes and deaf ears, made the lame to walk and raised people from the dead. Certainly by sight Jesus was ordinary, but by power he was extraordinary. So the Pharisees didn’t ask any more questions.
“Sacred Ode the David.”
This sacred ode is a prophecy of a conversation between two Lords or rulers. From context we can see the aspects of one of those rulers being our Messiah. The other Lord is a higher being, we would determine as the Father. David is privy to this conversation. Because it is a conversation between two other people we see the pronoun usage reflect that with “you” instead of “I” and “your” instead of “my”

The Masoretic text translates this as “Yahweh says to Adoni”. The word Adoni is an adulteration of the text which was a later addition by rabbi’s who didn’t want to blaspheme the name of Yahweh, so they changed some words from Yahweh to “Adoni”. The obvious problem that we face is that humans from later centuries tampered with the text, which dilutes the text and causes generations of misunderstanding. This is why we have to dig past the Masoretic Text, because the Masoretes had an agenda, which was to preserve their religious beliefs that Jesus was not the Messiah. It is a shame they chose to do this because instead of sowing knowledge and wisdom into the world they sowed confusion and misinformation. This could read “Supreme Authority said to Supreme Authority”, which shows the obvious supremacy of the Father and Son over all other spiritual beings in the heavens.
Once again, the case for understanding the word “Elohim” comes into play here. In later centuries the Masoretes decided that Elohim was singular and they were monotheists unlike the Christians who they accused of being polytheists. So essentially the argument that they made was that in every case where we see the ending “im” it is plural, meaning three or more (as opposed to singular, one, or dual, two) except for the word Elohim. Elohim breaks all the rules of their language. This is what they want you to believe. What they also want you to close your eyes to is that there are many elohim in the bible. The angels are called elohim, the devil is called elohim, the demons are called elohim, the Father is called Elohim, the Holy Spirit is called Elohim, and men are called elohim. The only one not an elohim according to the Masoretes is Jesus.
We have a rift between the Jews and the Christians because people altered the text. This is why we look at the Greek text, not the Latin or English translated text, or the Masoretic altered text as the Septuagint is older and was scribed by Jewish scribes in the temple of Nehemiah under the direction of the High Priest. Jesus had not been born so there is no alteration of the scripture relating to the Messiah. Jews think that Christians believe in many gods and that they only believe in one God. Christians believe in the association of Gods, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, because Elohim is a title not a name. Jews believe that Elohim is a name and reject Jesus as Elohim.
Just before his crucifixion, Jesus attested to being the one who would be seated on the right hand of the Father.

They asked Jesus if he was the Messiah, son of The Elohim. It was common knowledge that the Messiah would be the son of the Elohim. Peter testifies of Jesus as Messiah, citing David on the day of Pentecost.
Acts 2:29-36 (KJV)

Paul testifies that Jesus is seated on the right hand of Elohim and encourages us to seek Him.
Colossians 3:1 (KJV)

The writer of Hebrews declares to the Hebrews that Jesus is seated at the right hand of the Elohim.

“Rod of miraculous power send away forth you the Lord from out of Zion and gain dominion over in the middle your haters.”
As we studied last week, Zion is the hill at Gibeon during David’s time, this being the original Zion. The returning Messiah will have a rod of power. He will rule with a rod of iron. John also prophesies of this.
Revelation 19:14-16 (KJV)
14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
John then tells us that after the Lord comes with his armies to take back dominion, he will rule the nations with a rod of iron.
Revelation 12:5 (KJV)
5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.
What does this mean? What is the time period? The time period is the millennial kingdom. The Messiah who returns will rule from the temple. That is after Jesus comes back with his armies. Yet Jesus says something interesting. In Jesus’ letter to the church at Thyatira he tells us the overcomer would also rule with a rod of iron.
Revelation 2:26-29 (KJV)
26 And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:
27 And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.
28 And I will give him the morning star.
29 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
The overcomer rules with a rod of iron and is given the morning star. We will see the morning star come up shortly. David is seeing the Messiah as ruler. John is seeing Jesus (who is the Messiah) ruling, and Jesus allows the overcomers to rule as well.
Verse two should continue with the first part of verse three.

“You amid the beginning in day your miraculous power in the brilliancy your holiness.”
This should read:
“Rod of miraculous power send away forth you the Lord from out of Zion and gain dominion over in the middle your haters, you amid the beginning in day your miraculous power in the brilliancy your holiness.”
Jesus with his rod of power comes out of Zion and takes dominion over his enemies; and amid the beginning or first day of his power in the brilliancy of his holiness. Jesus comes with his armies, he annihilates the haters and imprisons the satan for one thousand years. He rules, arche, “first or beginning”, on the day of his own millennial kingdom in power and splendor in holiness.
This conversation that David is recording relates to what Paul told us about Jesus. He is the image of the invisible Father. The first born of every creature.
Colossians 1:15-20 (KJV)
15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;

Jesus is reconciling all things to himself, all things in heaven and things on earth. Jesus is the beginning and the ending, the alpha and the omega, the first and the last, and he is above all, through all, and in all. Jesus is making known his manifold wisdom to the principalities and powers through us, the church.
Ephesians 3:9-10 (KJV)
9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:
10 To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,
The church, the called out, ekklesia, are the ones that will judge the other sons of God, as Paul told us. Jesus created humanity to either condemn or acquit the sons of God. Through humanity the principalities and powers in the heavenly places will be adjudicated.
Now we come to the second part of verse 3 which is David prophesying of Jesus in another way.

“From out of the womb before Venus you birthed.”
We have studied this previously. Let’s look at Venus (also called Hesperus), which is sometimes mistranslated as “morning star”. It should be “evening star” when studying Isaiah 14, but here in Psalms it is morning star, Phosphorous.
“Then verse 3 says “out from the womb in front of Venus/Hesperus I birthed you.
Hesperus is a Greek word the Jews used in 300 BC for the planet Venus. The Masoretic texts use the phrase “morning star”, or “star of the morning”. When we look at the Bible with the actual word Hesperus in the text, it communicates a little differently to us. Hesperus was also known as the evening star. Venus can be seen in the eastern sky in the morning and the western sky in the evening. We will see that the usage of the morning star for Hesperus is a translation error.
Hesperus is Vesper in Latin, again meaning “evening star”. Vesper in Latin denotes “evening song and devotions”. In Greek Mythology Hesperus was the evening star, while his brother Phosphorus was the morning star, which also means “light bringer”. The Latin word Lucifer was used as a name for the morning star, but Lucifer wasn’t a bad word or a bad name at this time. Clearly we have an interesting idea here. The 300 BC Jewish Scribes used Hesperus, evening star, here; while the Masoretic Jews 600+ AD used Phosphorus. This may not seem like a big deal but let’s consider that Latin was already a language that was used from the first century BC. The Masorete’s used the idea of Phosphorus as the morning star, or Lucifer in their translation. The 300 BC Jewish Scribes used Hesperus, the evening star.
You might have wondered why Jesus is known as the “day star” or the “bright and morning star” and why that is the same name as Lucifer, the one who is known as satan. Lucifer was not really a proper name, but a description until more recent years, as in Dante’s Inferno. The word lucifer means “light bearer”, and some modern translators took the liberty to translate this in Isaiah as “Lucifer Son of the Morning”, but as we see it should have been “Evening Star, rising in the morning”. That description points to Venus. The Evening Star is not the same as the Morning Star, however the Evening Star and the Morning Star are both Venus which does rise in the morning in the east. Yet its story, of Hesperus and Phosphorus, Hesperus is the fallen and Phosphorus is the one rising.
It is hardly coincidental that someone attempted to make Jesus like satan, but this is even more amazing. 2 Peter 1 clears up any question as to who the fallen one is and who the bright morning star is. Jesus is Phosphorus.”

The usages of morning star are G2193.1. As we can see, these Greek words vary slightly, and the words translate as “enlightened, in the light, or lucifer”. Notice the difference between Psalms 110:3 and Isaiah 14:12. Again, lucifer was not a name for the satan until after the Masoretes changed and altered Isaiah 14 to try and make Jesus the evening star, Hesperus, or lucifer. If we notice below, sometimes the Greek word is capitalized and sometimes it is not. This too is a later addition to the text as all words were lower case when written.

The words for “morning” do not even come close to the words translated “morning star”. Notice the words in the Greek, and how easy it is to change a letter or two to also change the meaning. If we change F or E we have the difference between Jesus (Phosphorus) and Lucifer.

Let’s continue:
“Now this understanding goes a little deeper. The womb of the heavens is the Milky Way. Many ancient cultures saw the Milky Way as a place of birthing, either spiritual beings or physical bodies like stars. The Maya believed this dark rift was a two way road so to speak, as in birth and death into the womb of the sky. The planets move counter clockwise across the ecliptic, and at certain times it looks as if the planets are in front of the womb of the Milky Way as if they were coming and going into the womb or dark rift. Technically, that is not the case, but from an earth viewpoint the planets rising movement in front of the Milky Way seems like they are going into the Milky Way. All but one planet that is. Venus is either rising in the east or setting in the west, remember? On the night of Jesus’ birth, September 11, 3BC, around 6PM, Venus was setting or coming out of the womb of the sky. It is a fascinating detail, that simply by reading morning star instead of Hesperus, we think of something different. Jesus was not born in the morning, but in the evening. So the Father says to the Son prophetically through David, out from the womb in front of Venus, the evening star, I birthed you.
Another understanding which is also true is that out of the womb of Mary, in front of the fallen one satan, I birthed you. As we understand from The Letter of Aristeas, written in the same time period the Jewish Scribes were translating this, it is the imagery that tells the story. It is not about clean and unclean animals as in their flesh, but the “clean and unclean” pertains to the behavior of the animals. For example do not be destructive like mice and weasels. Here both ideas are true, prior to Jesus’ birth it is foretold he would be born out of the womb in front of the evening star, Hesperus. He was born in the evening and born in front of His enemy. Both wombs are applicable, the heavenly and the earthly. As the Psalm indicates, Jesus was born in front of his enemies and will rule from Zion in the middle of his enemies. When is that? The millennial kingdom.”
Think about this. Jesus was born in front of his enemies. He was birthed in front of Hesperus, the evening star, the falling one. Jesus created everything. Everything was created by Him, for Him, and through Him. He did not need to be born a human as he was already our creator. But through his own multifaceted wisdom, in order to quash the mutinous fallen sons of God, Jesus was birthed a human in front of all the fallen principalities, powers, and rulers, his enemies. They probably thought they could kill him and take over his creation. They couldn’t send him to Hades because he was sinless, Hades could not hold him. Humanity was created to be the standard by which to judge the fallen sons of God, and humans will judge the fallen sons of God in the future.
We have seen the alteration of the text regarding the word Adoni, the altered definition of Elohim, and the altered text of Phosphorus instead of Hesperus. Jesus is not Adoni he is Yahweh. Jesus is an Elohim. Jesus is Phosphorus not lucifer. Now, just for consideration, haven’t we all heard of people who are lucifarians who believe that lucifer is a name for the satan and these people have built a religion out of worshipping what truly amounts to Hesperus, the evening star? An entire religion was spawned from this intentional error. While another religion based on Elohim being a name, is followed and practiced by Jews as well as Christians, when in fact Elohim is a title, not a name. Then to be extra careful, or religiously pious, the addition of Adoni created another dimension to complicate both Judaism and Christianity.
Not only is Jesus the amazing creator, he is also called a priest in the order of Melchizedek. He is not from a fallen priesthood, Levitical, he is from the priesthood of choice, not birth. We know from the Book of Judges that Moses’ grandson via Gershom was a priest for hire who worshipped among idols. We also find a Masoretic alteration there to hide the shame of this being Moses’ heir/grandson. Here is something to consider. If by the second generation from Moses the Levites were already practicing idolatry, what hope is there for a priesthood by heredity? By the time the kingdom split, to the time of Jerusalem’s captivity, there were over three hundred years of idolatry and evil practices in the temple. That would be a horrible lineage for the Messiah. Instead, Shem/Melchizedek, offered teachings on service to the Lord for those who wanted to serve.

“Take an oath Yahweh and not change your mind, priest into cycle of time downwards the position Melchisedek.”
The Messiah will be a priest into the ages, and the position is a downward position into the Melchizedek order, meaning it is an ordination from above into a more perfect priesthood. When we talk about the Melchizedek priesthood, we want to remind ourselves that Melchizedek was Shem.

Hebrews 7:1-2 (KJV)
1 For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him;
2 To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace;
Hebrews mentions that Melchizedek is without father or mother, which does not mean that he was without parents, but that he did not have Aaronic or Levitical descendants. He preceded Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, and Aaron. Shem was not a “Jew” or a Levite. Hebrews says not having beginning of days or end of life, which does not mean that he appeared without being born, but remember he didn’t start the priesthood until after the flood, and after he left Ur. It was an inconsequential beginning. Shem moved to his inherited portion of land after the Canaanites, the descendants of Ham, moved there. Because Canaan’s heirs took land not allowed to them they are under a curse pronounced by Noah. Shem/Melchizedek has eternal life, he has a life without end.
Shem/Melchizedek/Adonizedek had a school for teaching people the ways of the Lord.

Abraham sent Isaac to Shem and Eber, then Isaac sent Jacob to Shem and Eber. Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, were priests under the order of Shem/Melchizedek. Jesus is a priest under the ordination of Shem/Melchizedek. They superseded the Levitical priests.
Melchizedek was Shem, Noah’s son. He was a priest who had a school in Jebus over the Gihon Springs which later became known as the City of David. This is where Solomon was coronated as king and also where Solomon’s temple was built. Jesus is a priest, a Zadok/Zedek priest. These people were priests by choice. They were not priests by birth.
Hebrews 5:6 (KJV)
6 As he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
Hebrews says that Jesus is a Zadok/Zedek priest into the ages just as David prophesied.

20 Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
Again the Lord swore an oath and will not change his mind. The Zadok/Zedek priests swore an oath as well.
Hebrews 7:21 (KJV)
21 (For those priests were made without an oath; but this with an oath by him that said unto him, The Lord sware and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec:)
Notice what Josephus says as a recap about Jerusalem.
Wars of the Jews 6:10:1 And thus was Jerusalem taken, in the second year of the reign of Vespasian, on the eighth day of the month Gorpeius [Elul].
It had been taken five times before, though this was the second time of its desolation; for Shishak, the king of Egypt, and after him Antiochus, and after him Pompey, and after them Sosius and Herod, took the city, but still preserved it; but before all these, the king of Babylon conquered it, and made it desolate, one thousand four hundred and sixty-eight years and six months after it was built. But he who first built it. Was a potent man among the Canaanites, and is in our own tongue called [Melchisedek], the Righteous King, for such he really was; on which account he was [there] the first priest of God, and first built a temple [there], and called the city Jerusalem, which was formerly called Salem. However, David, the king of the Jews, ejected the Canaanites, and set-tied his own people therein. It was demolished entirely by the Babylonians, four hundred and seventy-seven years and six months after him.

David merged the Zadok priesthood with the Levitical priesthood when he took Jebus so that both priesthoods ministered in the tabernacle and later the temple. The Zadok priesthood remained separate and eventually left temple service due to the idolatrous practices that the Levites let in. In the millennial temple the Zadok/Zedek priests will serve in the temple and the Levites will be outside the temple. This is a cause of contention with Jews. The Masoretes altered much of the Book of Jeremiah due to their allegiance to the Levites instead of the Zadok/Zedek priesthood. The saints will be made kings and priests in the future. Under whose priesthood are the saints priests? Melchizedek, not Levitical priests.
The Messiah will crush kings on the day of wrath.

“Yahweh from out of on your right hand, break in pieces in day your wrath, kings.”
When is the day of wrath? The day of wrath is during the tribulation. The saints are not part of the day of wrath, they are preparing for their return as the army.
Revelation 6:16-17 (KJV)
16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:
17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?
Solomon gave us some insight here.
Wisdom of Solomon 5:15-23 (KJVApocrypha)
15 But the righteous live for evermore; their reward also is with the Lord, and the care of them is with the most High.
16 Therefore shall they receive a glorious kingdom, and a beautiful crown from the Lord's hand: for with his right hand shall he cover them, and with his arm shall he protect them.
17 He shall take to him his jealousy for complete armour, and make the creature his weapon for the revenge of his enemies.
18 He shall put on righteousness as a breastplate, and true judgment instead of an helmet.
19 He shall take holiness for an invincible shield.
20 His severe wrath shall he sharpen for a sword, and the world shall fight with him against the unwise.
21 Then shall the right aiming thunderbolts go abroad; and from the clouds, as from a well drawn bow, shall they fly to the mark.
22 And hailstones full of wrath shall be cast as out of a stone bow, and the water of the sea shall rage against them, and the floods shall cruelly drown them.
23 Yea, a mighty wind shall stand up against them, and like a storm shall blow them away: thus iniquity shall lay waste the whole earth, and ill dealing shall overthrow the thrones of the mighty.
Iniquity is sinful immoral behavior and it is iniquity that lays waste the entire earth. The kings, because of their ill dealings, will be overthrown. The period of time of the tribulation is the time for ousting the mutinous sons of God as well as the Jesus rejecters from the earth. By eliminating both spiritual evil beings and earthly evil beings, the millennial kingdom starts from a clean slate. This is the manifold wisdom of Jesus.
Continuing from the previous thought of breaking in pieces on the the day of wrath Jesus will judge the ethnos.
Psalms 110:6 G2919 He shall judge G1722 among G3588 the G1484 nations; G4137 he shall fill up with G4430 corpses; G4917 he shall fracture in pieces G2776 heads G1909 upon G1093 the earth -- G4183 many.
“Judge in the nations make full carcass break in pieces the head on earth many.”
As the sixth seal is broken, the wrath of the Lamb begins. We then move into the trumpet judgments on the earth. As we know the seals are judgments where men are killing men. By the sixth seal Jesus is seen alongside the Father and the wrath of the Lamb starts. The seventh seal is the prayers of the saints who are in heaven harming men on the earth. The trumpet judgments deal with the earth rebelling against men on the earth. In other words, the physical earth itself becomes chaotic and men die. The bowl judgments are the Father corralling men to Meggido by making the rest of the world uninhabitable.

“From out of winter torrent in path, drink through this to lift high the head.”
David’s last sentence is not about the Messiah drinking out of a stream. It is about the reader. You and I are to drink out of a winter torrent. The words “He shall” are a translators’ inference, not in the text. Sometimes we use the expression that something is like “drinking out of a fire hose”. A winter torrent is the spring snow melt. Drink from the rushing water through this prophecy to lift high the head. Who is the head? The cornerstone, the Messiah.
Colossians 1:16-18 (KJV)
16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
Jesus the Messiah is the head of the body of the church and rejected by those who were to build the way for the Messiah.
Matthew 21:42 (KJV)
42 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?
We are not to lift up our own head, we are to lift high the Head. Drink from this fire hose of prophecy and through that water lift Jesus high. This drink of water is winter runoff filled with precious minerals. It is oxygenated. It is very healthy water to drink, it is nutritious. In other words, David is saying “Drink this healthy water and exalt the Head”.
This foresight of David about the Messiah being at the beginning, and then sitting at the right hand of the Father until the enemies are made a foot stool, gives us what we need spiritually. Our Messiah is a priest from a clean line of priests, Zadok/Zedek, who were/are priests by choice. He is the morning star, Phosphorus, not lucifer (Hesperus). He is going to rule the nations with a rod of iron. Although the Messiah is our Creator, and everything was made by him, for him, and through him, he was birthed on the earth, in front of his enemies, of parents from David’s lineage. David saw this and wrote this of the Messiah. It is like drinking from a winter torrent of prophecy. Praise the Lord!
