As we wrap up the Day of the Lord we are going to read through the prophecies of the minor prophets in order. The Bible is not arranged in chronological order so we are going to put the minor prophets in order. We see when the subject of the Day of the Lord emerged and how it carried into different eras. The first Day of the Lord prophecy was given at a time when both the northern and southern kingdoms were still under their own rule. There is only one Day of the Lord. There aren’t multiple days where the Lord will come to earth to rule and reign, only one. The Day of the Lord was a well known prophecy in Israel and Judah, and people mistakenly looked forward to it rather than repented for their sins.
Amos was a prophet from Tekota in the southern kingdom around 760 BC. He was not a schooled prophet, but a called prophet, who prophesied during Uzziah’s reign. Amos was prophesying sixty two years before the northern kingdom went into captivity in Assyria. Isaiah and Hosea lived during Amos’ time although Amos was older. Amos was sent to prophesy in Bethel. He was the first prophet to speak of the Day of the Lord. We seem to think that Isaiah was the first to mention the Day of the Lord in Isaiah 2, but Amos was older than Isaiah. Amos spends his time attempting to correct both the northern and southern kingdoms, but they do not listen. He then says something important. He mentions that the Lord “proclaims to men his Christ”. The word Χριστός, “Christos, Christ, Messiah, Anointed One”, has been eliminated here in the Masoretic Text.
Amo 4:11 (Brenton) I overthrew you, as God overthrew Sodoma and Gomorrha, and ye became as a brand plucked out of the fire: yet not even thus did ye return to me, saith the Lord.

Let’s look at Amos 4:13 in a few other versions.

As we know, the Greek text is older and more accurate than the Masoretic Text which is where our modern translations get their old covenant version from. The Masoretic text has altered thousands of words to erase Jesus as the Messiah, the Anointed One. Yet Amos, writing as the Holy Spirit moved him, wrote to tell both the northern and southern kingdoms to pay attention because the Lord proclaims the Messiah. This is the prophecy for their age, both Isaiah and Amos proclaiming the Messiah is coming. Unfortunately the people overwhelmingly didn’t repent. Amos speaks of the northern kingdoms fall while still encouraging them but notice what is going on. They must already know about the Day of the Lord and they must be wishing for it.
Amo 5:18 Woe to you that desire the day of the Lord! what is this day of the Lord to you? whereas it is darkness, and not light.
Amo 5:19 As if a man should flee from the face of a lion, and a bear should meet him; and he should spring into his house, and lean his hands upon the wall, and a serpent should bite him.
Amo 5:20 Is not the day of the Lord darkness, and not light? and is not this day gloom without brightness?
Amos says ‘don’t you know this is not a great thing to wish for?’ Certainly many people desire the Day of the Lord. We are all like children who break a toy and want Mommy and Daddy to fix it. Like children we say to Yahweh “the world broken”, as if Yahweh doesn’t know who broke it. We need Yahweh to fix things for us because they are royally messed up, but the point is not to fix the world quickly, it is to draw people to Him. Sure he could have fixed the world long ago without all our whining and crying, but then we would not draw close to him. There is really no mystery here. Start with the book of Judges. Every time Jacob’s heirs pull away from Yahweh Elohim and worship pseudo demon gods, they go into captivity. Over and over again, a bit longer each time, the pattern repeats. Now Amos is telling them to stop wishing for the Day of the Lord, it is going to be a terrible day, just do the right thing now.
This also tells us something interesting. The prophets must have known of and had been teaching about the Day of the Lord and the Messiah. Both Amos and Isaiah knew this information, and they write as if the people have been told this information. How could they desire the Day of the Lord if they never heard it was coming?
Amo 5:21 I hate, I reject your feasts, and I will not smell your meat-offerings in your general assemblies.
Amo 5:22 Wherefore if ye should bring me your whole-burnt-sacrifices and meat-offerings, I will not accept them: neither will I have respect to your grand peace-offerings.
Amo 5:23 Remove from me the sound of thy songs, and I will not hear the music of thine instruments.
Amo 5:24 But let judgment roll down as water, and righteousness as an impassable torrent.
Amo 5:25 Have ye offered to me victims and sacrifices, O house of Israel, forty years in the wilderness?
Amo 5:26 Yea, ye took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star of your god Raephan, the images of them which ye made for yourselves.
Amo 5:27 And I will carry you away beyond Damascus, saith the Lord, the Almighty God is his name
Zephaniah (Sophonias) lived in the days of Josiah around 642 BC to 611 BC. Zephaniah was a contemporary of Jeremiah and Huldah. He prophesies after the captivity of the northern kingdom. Zephaniah called out the idolatry in Judah and Josiah destroyed the idols. Yet his prophecies still announce the judgment and destruction of Judah. Again keep in mind that there is only one Day of the Lord. The northern kingdom had been in captivity in Assyria for about 80 years.
Zep 1:7 (Brenton) Fear ye before the Lord God; for the day of the Lord is near; for the Lord has prepared his sacrifice, and has sanctified his guests.
Zep 1:8 And it shall come to pass in the day of the Lord's sacrifice, that I will take vengeance on the princes, and on the king's house, and upon all that wear strange apparel.
Zep 1:9 And I will openly take vengeance on the porches in that day, on the men that fill the house of the Lord their God with ungodliness and deceit.
When the son of perdition, the beast, goes into the holy of holies the temple will be defiled but people will continue performing ritual service even after martyrs die under the altar.
Zep 1:10 And there shall be in that day, saith the Lord, the sound of a cry from the gate of men slaying, and a howling from the second gate, and a great crashing from the hills.
Zep 1:11 Lament, ye that inhabit the city that has been broken down, for all the people has become like Chanaan; and all that were exalted by silver have been utterly destroyed.
Zep 1:12 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will search Jerusalem with a candle, and will take vengeance on the men that despise the things committed to them; but they say in their hearts, The Lord will not do any good, neither will he do any evil.
Zep 1:13 And their power shall be for a spoil, and their houses for utter desolation; and they shall build houses, but shall not dwell in them; and they shall plant vineyards, but shall not drink the wine of them.
Zep 1:14 For the great day of the Lord is near, it is near, and very speedy; the sound of the day of the Lord is made bitter and harsh.
Zep 1:15 A mighty day of wrath is that day, a day of affliction and distress, a day of desolation and destruction, a day of gloominess and darkness, a day of cloud and vapour,
Zep 1:16 a day of the trumpet and cry against the strong cities, and against the high towers.
Zep 1:17 And I will greatly afflict the men, and they shall walk as blind men, because they have sinned against the Lord; therefore he shall pour out their blood as dust, and their flesh as dung.
Zep 1:18 And their silver and their gold shall in nowise be able to rescue them in the day of the Lord's wrath; but the whole land shall be devoured by the fire of his jealously; for he will bring a speedy destruction on all them that inhabit the land.
Zep 2:1 Be ye gathered and closely joined together, O unchastened nation;
Zep 2:2 before ye become as the flower that passes away, before the anger of the Lord come upon you, before the day of the wrath of the Lord come upon you.
Zep 2:3 Seek ye the Lord, all ye meek of the earth; do judgment, and seek justice, and answer accordingly; that ye may be hid in the day of the wrath of the Lord.
Money won’t save anyone on the Day of the Lord. Zephaniah prophesies similar to Isaiah with regard to hiding in the day of vengeance.
Isa 26:19 The dead shall rise, and they that are in the tombs shall be raised, and they that are in the earth shall rejoice: for the dew from thee is healing to them: but the land of the ungodly shall perish.
Isa 26:20 Go, my people, enter into thy closets, shut thy door, hide thyself for a little season, until the anger of the Lord have passed away.
Isa 26:21 For, behold, the Lord is bringing wrath from his holy place upon the dwellers on the earth: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall not cover her slain.
If given the opportunity to hide on the Day of the Lord, we should take it.
Zep 2:4 For Gaza shall be utterly spoiled, and Ascalon shall be destroyed; and Azotus shall be cast forth at noon-day, and Accaron shall be rooted up.
Zep 2:5 Woe to them that dwell on the border of the sea, neighbours of the Cretans! the word of the Lord is against you, O Chanaan, land of the Philistines, and I will destroy you out of your dwelling-place.
Zep 2:6 And Crete shall be a pasture of flocks, and a fold of sheep.
Zep 2:7 And the sea cost shall be for the remnant of the house of Juda; they shall pasture upon them in the houses of Ascalon; they shall rest in the evening because of the children of Juda; for the Lord their God has visited them, and he will turn away their captivity.
Zep 2:8 I have heard the revilings of Moab, and the insults of the children of Ammon, wherewith they have reviled my people, and magnified themselves against my coasts.
Zep 2:9 Therefore, as I live, saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, Moab shall be as Sodoma, and the children of Ammon as Gomorrha; and Damascus shall be left as a heap of the threshing-floor, and desolate for ever: and the remnant of my people shall plunder them, and the remnant of my nations shall inherit them.
So far this has not happened, Gaza, Moab and Damascus have always been inhabited.
Zep 2:10 This is their punishment in return for their haughtiness, because they have reproached and magnified themselves against the Lord Almighty.
Zep 2:11 The Lord shall appear against them, and shall utterly destroy all the gods of the nations of the earth; and they shall worship him every one from his place, even all the islands of the nations.
Zep 2:12 Ye Ethiopians also are the slain of my sword.
Zep 2:13 And he shall stretch forth his hand against the north and destroy the Assyrian, and make Nineve a dry wilderness, even as a desert.
Zep 2:14 And flocks, and all the wild beasts of the land, and chameleons shall feed in the midst thereof: and hedgehogs shall lodge in the ceilings thereof; and wild beasts shall cry in the breaches thereof, and ravens in her porches, whereas her loftiness was as as cedar.
"The Lord shall appear against them.” What day would that be? The Day of the Lord. Remember what also happens on the Day of the Lord, Jesus manifests himself to the nations, epiphany, and then he will bring his people back to Israel.
Zep 3:9 For then will I turn to the peoples a tongue for her generation, that all may call on the name of the Lord, to serve him under one yoke.
Zep 3:10 From the boundaries of the rivers of Ethiopia will I receive my dispersed ones; they shall offer sacrifices to me.
Zep 3:11 In that day thou shalt not be ashamed of all thy practices, wherein thou hast transgressed against me: for then will I take away from thee thy disdainful pride, and thou shalt no more magnify thyself upon my holy mountain.
Zep 3:12 And I will leave in thee a meek and lowly people;
Zep 3:13 and the remnant of Israel shall fear the name of the Lord, and shall do no iniquity, neither shall they speak vanity; neither shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth: for they shall feed, and lie down, and there shall be none to terrify them.
There are two different Obadiah’s in the bible. One was a prophet in the northern kingdom, a servant of Ahab. Obadiah the prophet during Ahab’s time was the one who fed the prophets of Yahweh hiding in caves. He was the third servant of Ahab who fell at Elijah’s feet but was not killed. The prophet Obadiah who wrote the book of Obadiah lived in the southern kingdom. This Obadiah lived around 558 BC. He is writing while still in captivity in Babylon and would have been a contemporary of Jeremiah, Ezekiel, and Daniel.
Oba 1:15 (Brenton) For the day of the Lord is near upon all the Gentiles: as thou have done, so shall it be done to thee: thy recompense shall be returned on thine own head.
Oba 1:16 For as thou hast drunk upon my holy mountain, so shall all the nations drink wine; they shall drink, and go down, and be as if they were not.
Oba 1:17 But on mount Sion there shall be deliverance, and there shall be a sanctuary; and the house of Jacob shall take for an inheritance those that took them for an inheritance.
Oba 1:18 And the house of Jacob shall be fire, and the house of Joseph a flame, and the house of Esau shall be for stubble; and Israel shall flame forth against them, and shall devour them, and there shall not be a corn-field left to the house of Esau; because the Lord has spoken
Zechariah lived around 520 BC. Cyrus decreed the return to Judah around 537 BC and the temple was dedicated around 515 BC. Zechariah was prophesying between those two events. Remember that dates are adjusted according to Jubilees years adding back the 243 years that the Masoretes erased.
Zechariah has some very colorful prophesies, some of which relate to the Book of Revelation, the two witnesses, and the Messiah, Jesus. He also prophesies about the millennial reign.
Zec 14:1 (Brenton) Behold, the days of the Lord come, and thy spoils shall be divided in thee.
Zec 14:2 And I will gather all the Gentiles to Jerusalem to war, and the city shall be taken, and the houses plundered, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, but the rest of my people shall not be utterly cut off from the city.
Zec 14:3 And the Lord shall go forth, and fight with those Gentiles as when he fought in the day of war.
Zec 14:4 And his feet shall stand in that day on the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave asunder, half of it toward the east and the west, a very great division; and half the mountain shall lean to the north, and half of it to the south.
Zec 14:5 And the valley of my mountains shall be closed up, and the valley of the mountains shall be joined on to Jasod, and shall be blocked up as it was blocked up in the days of the earthquake, in the days of Ozias king of Juda; and the Lord my God shall come, and all the saints with him.
Zec 14:6 And it shall come to pass in that day that there shall be no light,
Zec 14:7 and there shall be for one day cold and frost, and that day shall be known to the Lord, and it shall not be day nor night: but towards evening it shall be light.
Zec 14:8 And in that day living water shall come forth out of Jerusalem; half of it toward the former sea, and half of it toward the latter sea: and so shall it be in summer and spring.
Zec 14:9 And the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day there shall be one Lord, and his name one,
Zec 14:10 compassing all the earth, and the wilderness from Gabe unto Remmon south of Jerusalem. And Rama shall remain in its place. From the gate of Benjamin to the place of the first gate, to the gate of the corners, and to the tower of Anameel, as far as the king's winepresses,
Zec 14:11 they shall dwell in the city; and there shall be no more any curse, and Jerusalem shall dwell securely.
Zechariah goes on to prophesy some things that will take place in the millennium. Malachi prophesies around 480 BC to 430 BC. He is a later prophet living in Judah under Persian rule about 28 years after Haman was hung.
Mal 4:1 (Brenton) For, behold, a day comes burning as an oven, and it shall consume them; and all the aliens, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that is coming shall set them on fire, saith the Lord Almighty, and there shall not be left of them root or branch.
Mal 4:2 But to you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise, and healing shall be in his wings: and ye shall go forth, and bound as young calves let loose from bonds.
Mal 4:3 And ye shall trample the wicked; for they shall be ashes underneath your feet in the day which I appoint, saith the Lord Almighty.
Mal 4:4 Remember the law of my servant Moses, accordingly as I charged him with it in Choreb for all Israel, even the commandments and ordinances.
Mal 4:5 And, behold, I will send to you Elias the Thesbite, before the great and glorious day of the Lord comes;
Mal 4:6 who shall turn again the heart of the father to the son, and the heart of a man to his neighbour, lest I come and smite the earth grievously.
Malachi prophesies the same thing that Joel prophesies which leads us to something interesting about Joel. People believe Joel either lived around 835 BC, 640 BC, or 450-400 BC. It is a large spread. He is quite a mystery. Each camp has their ideas. People point to the nations that he mentions as proof of living in the 800’s or the idea that he never spoke of a king as proof he lived in the 640’s, when Josiah was a boy. What no one takes into account is that there is only one Day of the Lord. While people like to attribute Joel’s prophecies to one age or the other, his prophecies are about a time ahead that we haven’t even come to yet. There is only one Day of the Lord, and it takes place at the end of the tribulation. So no matter which camp one falls into, there is no true “proof” for one age or another. It is more likely he was not older or a contemporary of Isaiah. Joel was more likely a contemporary of Malachi living under Persian rule. Joel never mentions a king but he talks about the priests and elders which had been reestablished in Judah. He also talks about the diaspora among the nations. Joel knows the other prophets and their prophecies.
Joel points out four kingdoms that overtake Judah, Babylon, Persia, Greece, then Rome. He does not mention who comes next, after the Messiah, which are Byzantines, and Ottomans.
Jol 1:4 The leavings of the caterpillar has the locust eaten, and the leavings of the locust has the palmerworm eaten, and the leavings of the palmerworm has the cankerworm eaten.
Jol 2:25 And I will recompense you for the years which the locust, and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm, and the cankerworm have eaten, even my great army, which I sent against you.
The question becomes when does the Lord recompense Judah? The destruction of the temple in 70 AD was under Roman rule, which turned to Byzantine rule which became Ottoman rule. When does this recompense take place? It clearly hasn’t happened yet so we are back to the Day of the Lord.
Jol 1:14 Sanctify a fast, proclaim a solemn service, gather the elders and all the inhabitants of the land into the house of your God, and cry earnestly to the Lord,
Jol 1:15 Alas, Alas, Alas for the day! for the day of the Lord is nigh, and it will come as trouble upon trouble.

Israel has not been restored yet. Just because people took over the land in 1948 does not mean the land has been restored.

This is the armies of heaven. Remember there are two armies coming, the Grigori, and the saints who are the bride of Christ.

Jol 2:4 Their appearance is as the appearance of horses; and as horsemen, so shall they pursue.

The armies move together in a line and no one will be hurt.

Jol 2:10 Before them the earth shall be confounded, and the sky shall be shaken: the sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their light.
Jol 2:11 And the Lord shall utter his voice before his host: for his camp is very great: for the execution of his words is mighty: for the day of the Lord is great, very glorious, and who shall be able to resist it?
Yahweh Jesus Messiah directs the armies.
Jol 2:12 Now therefore, saith the Lord your God, turn to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with lamentation:
Jol 2:13 and rend your hearts, and not your garments, and turn to the Lord your God: for he is merciful and compassionate, long-suffering, and plenteous in mercy, and repents of evils.
Jol 2:14 Who knows if he will return, and repent, and leave a blessing behind him, even a meat-offering and a drink-offering to the Lord your God?
Jol 2:15 Sound the trumpet in Sion, sanctify a fast, proclaim a solemn service:
Jol 2:16 gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the infants at the breast: let the bridegroom go forth of his chamber, and the bride out of her closet.
Jol 2:17 Between the porch and the altar let the priests that minister to the Lord weep, and say, Spare thy people, O Lord, and give not thine heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them, lest they should say among the heathen, Where is their God?
Yahweh is merciful, he will show himself to all Jacob’s heirs who are scattered among all the nations and he will bring them back. Then, after he brings everyone back to Jerusalem he will repay them. Why? Because the people he brings back are the true heirs of Jacob, not the people claiming Israel is their land. Yahweh Elohim knows who is who, he sees our DNA.
Jol 2:25 And I will recompense you for the years which the locust, and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm, and the cankerworm have eaten, even my great army, which I sent against you.
Jol 2:26 And ye shall eat abundantly, and be satisfied, and shall praise the name of the Lord your God for the things which he has wrought wonderfully with you: and my people shall not be ashamed for ever.
Jol 2:27 And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the Lord your God, and that there is none else beside me; and my people shall no more be ashamed for ever.
Here is a proof that this promise is going to come to pass. When you see this thing happen, then you know the previous thing mentioned will happen.
Jol 2:28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your old men shall dream dreams, and your young men shall see visions.
Jol 2:29 And on my servants and on my handmaids in those days will I pour out of my Spirit.
When was the Spirit poured out on people? On the Day of Pentecost. This is the proof of recompense coming. But wait, there is more.
Jol 2:30 And I will shew wonders in heaven, and upon the earth, blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke.
Jol 2:31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and glorious day of the Lord come.
Jol 2:32 And it shall come to pass that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved: for in mount Sion and in Jerusalem shall the saved one be as the Lord has said, and they that have glad tidings preached to them, whom the Lord has called.
Since Jesus Messiah’s crucifixion, the Holy Spirit has been poured out on the followers of Christ. But after the harpazo the Holy Spirit is not on the earth. The Holy Spirit is holding back the coming of the son of perdition, the beast, but on the Day of the Lord it is too late to receive the Holy Spirit. The signs and wonders in heaven and on earth will take place after the harpazo, during the tribulation. But everyone who calls on the name of Yahweh will be saved.
Jol 3:1 For, behold, in those days and at that time, when I shall have turned the captivity of Juda and Jerusalem,
Jol 3:2 I will also gather all the Gentiles, and bring them down to the valley of Josaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and my heritage Israel, who have been dispersed among the Gentiles; and these Gentiles have divided my land,
Jol 3:3 and cast lots over my people, and have given their boys to harlots, and sold their girls for wine, and have drunk.
Jesus Messiah will manifest himself to the heirs of Jacob wherever they are.
Jol 3:14 Noises have resounded in the valley of judgment: for the day of the Lord is near in the valley of judgment.
Jol 3:15 The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their light.
Jol 3:16 And the Lord shall cry out of Sion, and shall utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heaven and the earth shall be shaken, but the Lord shall spare his people, and shall strengthen the children of Israel
Jol 3:17 And ye shall know that I am the Lord your God, who dwell in Sion my holy mountain: and Jerusalem shall be holy, and strangers shall not pass through her anymore.
Jol 3:18 And it shall come to pass in that day that the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the fountains of Juda shall flow with water, and a fountain shall go forth of the house of the Lord, and water the valley of flags.
Jol 3:19 Egypt shall be a desolation, and Idumea shall be a desolate plain, because of the wrongs of the children of Juda, because they have shed righteous blood in their land.
Jol 3:20 But Judea shall be inhabited for ever, and Jerusalem to all generations.
Jol 3:21 And I will make inquisition for their blood, and will by no means leave it unavenged: and the Lord shall dwell in Sion.
This is what the Day of the Lord brings, an end to the curses, and Israel, Judea, and Jerusalem restored. The prophets were all clearly aware of the Day of the Lord from the time of Amos, Isaiah, and Hosea, in the years of Uzziah. Prophets were prophesying that a Messiah would bring them back to their land from the time of Moses. From the time of Ezekiel people heard the prophecy that Yahweh Elohim would manifest himself to them among the nations. Because they knew this, people were not impressed to go back to Israel or Judah. Many stayed where they were in captivity and many moved on from there, never returning to their home land. 1948 does not mean that Jacob’s heirs are being brought back by Yahweh Elohim. They are not. Some may have returned, but only Yahweh Jesus Messiah can bring them back.
This brings us to the new covenant and what the apostles knew regarding the Day of the Lord. Paul says this:
1Co 5:5 (ISV) turn this man over to Satan for the destruction of his body, so that his spirit may be saved on the Day of the Lord.
Delivering someone to Satanas, one who confesses Jesus as Lord but who is hurting the church, simply takes them out of the world sooner so that they can no longer sin. It is actually merciful to give them over to destruction of their flesh as it preserves them for heaven with less sin.
2Co 1:13 (ISV) For what we are writing you is nothing more than what you can read and also understand. I hope you will understand completely,
2Co 1:14 just as you have already understood us partially, so that on the Day of our Lord Jesus we can be your reason to boast, even as you are ours.
Rejoicing in the Day of the Lord? Absolutely. It is a time of joy for Jesus Messiah to take back the earth and rule and reign. It is a bad day for Jesus rejectors. Paul points out that we do not now when that day will be.
1Th 5:1 (ISV) Now you do not need to have anything written to you about times and dates, brothers,
1Th 5:2 for you yourselves know very well that the Day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night.
1Th 5:3 When people say, "There is peace and security," destruction will strike them as suddenly as labor pains come to a pregnant woman, and they will not be able to escape.
1Th 5:4 However, brothers, you are not in the darkness, in order that the Day of the Lord might surprise you like a thief.
1Th 5:5 For all of you are children of the light and children of the day. We do not belong to the night or to darkness.
Who will be saying “peace and safety”? The beast, the son of perdition, not people before the harpazo.
2Th 2:1 (ISV) Now we ask you, brothers, regarding the coming of our Lord Jesus, the Messiah, and our gathering together to him,
2Th 2:2 not to be so quickly upset or alarmed when someone claims that we said, either by some spirit, conversation, or letter that the Day of the Lord has already come.
There’s only one Day of the Lord, not many. Don’t be fooled into thinking it has already come and don’t wish for it to come. But when it does come, rejoice!
2Pe 3:10 (ISV) But the Day of the Lord will come like a thief. On that day the heavens will disappear with a roaring sound, the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done on it will be exposed.

Heb 10:24 And let us continue to consider how to motivate one another to love and good deeds,
Heb 10:25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another even more as you see the day of the Lord coming nearer.
The new covenant saints knew the Day of the Lord was getting closer. It is closer today than ever before. This is why we preach and teach and share the keys to salvation, so that others will not have to be traumatized on the Day of the Lord. A strong delusion is coming that will blind the minds of many people. The beast is not the true messiah even though he will pretend to be. There is only one way to salvation, to confess Jesus as Lord and believe the Elohim rose him up on the third day. Salvation is available to anyone at any time. It doesn’t matter how much sin we have, our past does not matter either, what matters is that Jesus becomes Lord over our hearts and minds. Then we will have no fear for the future events on earth as we will not be here.
