Noah’s Faith; Evil Cain; Antediluvian Children of God; Our Ordained Path

Why was Noah righteous? This is a great question, but our Bible tells us very little about the antediluvians. Therefore we will read through a few historical books and gain some idea of the world that Noah was born into. Similar to Sodom, the pre-deluge earth was corrupted by sin. Yet Yahweh rescued Noah and his family out of the destruction. While Noah was righteous, we see that his righteousness came from the words of his forefathers. Even though the times were dark, Noah accepted the rhēma coming from the Elohim. He then became loyal to the rhēma that the Elohim gave him. It is said that Noah did everything he was ordained to do. As we saw last week, Lot was surrounded by ungodly people for many years. He was rescued by Abraham, but went back into Sodom. Yet Lot did not do the things that the people of Sodom did. He was hospitable and kind. Before Noah was even born the antediluvian age was filled with evil events and evil people. It is hard to imagine that as soon as the adam sinned, the whole generation was filled with sin. It is possible that our enemy does not want us to know what was happening before the flood destroyed the world because we might notice those same sins being committed in our time. Noah was the start of all righteous men, meaning that Noah was righteous because of his faith and that righteousness started the next age, the post deluge.

2Es 3:11  Nevertheless one of them thou leftest, namely, Noah with his household, of whom came all righteous men.

As we read this historical account of the pre-flood era, we should keep in mind that there was no written law or commands from Yahweh. Enoch started teaching the precepts of Yahweh a bit before the flood. The people from Cain’s family indulged in many lusts and enticed Seth’s heirs away from Yahweh.

Forgotten Books of Eden; The Second Book of Adam and Eve XI:1 AFTER the death of Adam and of Eve, Seth severed his children, and his children's children, from Cain's children. Cain and his seed went down and dwelt westward, below the place where he had killed his brother Abel.

2 But Seth and his children, dwelt northwards upon the mountain of the Cave of Treasures, in order to be near to their father Adam.

3 And Seth the elder, tall and good, with a fine soul, and of a strong mind, stood at the head of his people; and tended them in innocence, penitence, and meekness, and did not allow one of them to go down to Cain's children.

4 But because of their own purity, they were named "Children of God," and they were with God, instead of the hosts of angels who fell; for they continued in praises to God, and in singing psalms unto Him, in their cave--the Cave of Treasures.

The first thing to note here is that after the adam and Eve died, Seth was the head of his family. Seth severed the relationship of his children with Cain’s children. Seth and his children went north and dwelt in the mountains, while Cain and his children dwelt in the plains. Seth’s children are named “Children of God” because they worshipped the Elohim. We will see shortly what Cain’s family was doing.

Here is a bit of history on Cain.

Forgotten Books of Eden; The Second Book of Adam and Eve XX:1 AFTER Cain had gone down to the land of dark soil, and his children had multiplied therein, there was one of them, whose name was Genun, son of Lamech the blind who slew Cain.

2 But as to this Genun, Satan came into him in his childhood; and he made sundry trumpets and horns, and string instruments, cymbals and psalteries, and lyres and harps, and flutes; and he played on them at all times and at every hour.

3 And when he played on them, Satan came into them, so that from among them were heard beautiful and sweet sounds, that ravished the heart.

4 Then he gathered companies upon companies to play on them; and when they played, it pleased well the children of Cain, who inflamed themselves with sin among themselves, and burnt as with fire; while Satan inflamed their hearts, one with another, and increased lust among them.

5 Satan also taught Genun to bring strong drink out of corn; and this Genun used to bring together companies upon companies in drink-houses; and brought into their hands all manner of fruits and flowers; and they drank together.

6 Thus did this Genun multiply sin exceedingly; he also acted with pride, and taught the children of Cain to commit all manner of the grossest wickedness, which they knew not; and put them up to manifold doings which they knew not before.

7 Then Satan, when he saw that they yielded to Genun and hearkened to him in every thing he told them, rejoiced greatly, increased Genun's understanding, until he took iron and with it made weapons of war.

8 Then when they were drunk, hatred and murder increased among them; one man used violence against another to teach him evil taking his children and defiling them before him.

9 And when men saw they were overcome, and saw others that were not overpowered, those who were beaten came to Genun, took refuge with him, and he made them his confederates.

10 Then sin increased among them greatly; until a man married his own sister, or daughter, or mother, and others; or the daughter of his father's sister, so that there was no more distinction of relationship, and they no longer knew what is iniquity; but did wickedly, and the earth was defiled with sin, and they angered God the Judge, who had created them.

11 But Genun gathered together companies upon companies, that played on horns and on all the other instruments we have already mentioned, at the foot of the Holy Mountain; and they did so in order that the children of Seth who were on the Holy Mountain should hear it.

Notice the children of Seth were residing on the Holy Mountain. The children of Seth were living in their region until the Watchers fell, procreating a mixed genos with the children of Cain. They then went up the mountains. The children of Cain attempted to entice the children of Seth to join them. It is interesting that Satanas came into Genun in his childhood. This suggests a childhood event that opened Genun up to satanic influence. It is no different then we see today. Satanas then uses music to entice people to follow. Once people enjoy themselves they wanted more, and Satanas was able to enter into them, causing them to lust more and more. Add alcohol and weapons and then voilà, our world today.

The Forgotten Books of Eden; The Second Book of Adam and Eve XX:12 But when the children of Seth heard the noise, they wondered, and came by companies, and stood on the top of the mountain to look at those below; and they did thus a whole year.

13 When, at the end of that year, Genun saw that they were being won over to him little by little, Satan entered into him, and taught him to make dyeing-stuffs for garments of divers patterns, and made him understand how to dye crimson and purple and what not.

14 And the sons of Cain who wrought all this, and shone in beauty and gorgeous apparel, gathered together at the foot of the mountain in splendour, with horns and gorgeous dresses, and horse races, committing all manner of abominations.

15 Meanwhile the children of Seth, who were on the Holy Mountain, prayed and praised God, in the place of the hosts of angels who had fallen; wherefore God had called them "angels," because He rejoiced over them greatly.

This tells us that the timing of the enticement from the children of Cain was after the fall of the Watchers. The children of Seth attempted to isolate themselves from the perverted genos, the heirs of the Nephilim. The Elohim call the children of Seth “angels” because they did what the angels should have been doing, worship. The children of Cain then adorned themselves with colorful clothes and jewelry then played instruments, had horse races, and did other things that looked like fun, all so that the children of Seth would come down from the mountains.

The Forgotten Books of Eden; The Second Book of Adam and Eve XX:16 But after this, they no longer kept His commandment, nor held by the promise He had made to their fathers; but they relaxed from their fasting and praying, and from the counsel of Jared their father. And they kept on gathering together on the top of the mountain, to look upon the children of Cain, from morning until evening, and upon what they did, upon their beautiful dresses and ornaments.

17 Then the children of Cain looked up from below, and saw the children of Seth, standing in troops on the top of the mountain; and they called to them to come down to them.

18 But the children of Seth said to them from above, "We don't know the way." Then Genun, the son of Lamech, heard them say they did not know the way, and he bethought himself how he might bring them down.

19 Then Satan appeared to him by night, saying, "There is no way for them to come down from the mountain on which they dwell; but when they come to-morrow, say to them, 'Come ye to the western side of the mountain; there you will find the way of a stream of water, that comes down to the foot of the mountain, between two hills; come down that way to us.'"

20 Then when it was day, Genun blew the horns and beat the drums below the mountain, as he was wont. The children of Seth heard it, and came as they used to do.

21 Then Genun said to them from down below, "Go to the western side of the mountain, there you will find the way to come down."

22 But when the children of Seth heard these words from him, they went back into the cave to Jared, to tell him all they had heard.

23 Then when Jared heard it, he was grieved; for he knew that they would transgress his counsel.

24 After this a hundred men of the children of Seth gathered together, and said among themselves, "Come, let us go down to the children of Cain, and see what they do, and enjoy ourselves with them."

25 But when Jared heard this of the hundred men, his very soul was moved, and his heart was grieved. He then arose with great fervour, and stood in the midst of them, and adjured them by the blood of Abel the just, "Let not one of you go down from this holy and pure mountain, in which our fathers have ordered its to dwell."

26 But when Jared saw that they did not receive his words, he said unto them, "O my good and innocent and holy children, know that when once you go down from this holy mountain, God will not allow you to return again to it.”

“And enjoy ourselves with them”. The children of Cain seemed like they were having fun, it was different than living on the mountain, praying, worshipping, and fasting. So some of the children of Seth said, ‘let’s go have fun’. They probably thought they could return after a get-a-way weekend. Yahweh would not allow the people who left the Holy Mountain to contaminate the other sons of Seth. The decision to leave would be a permanent one. The Elohim had been pleased with them, calling them Children of God and angels, but now they were defiled.

The Second Book of Adam and Eve XX:27 He again adjured them, saying, "I adjure by the death of our father Adam, and by the blood of Abel, of Seth, of Enos, of Cainan, and of Mahalaleel, to hearken to me, and not to go down from this holy mountain; for the moment you leave it, you will be reft of life and of mercy; and you shall no longer be called 'children of God,' but 'children of the devil.'"

28 But they would not hearken to his words.

29 Enoch at that time was already grown up, and in his zeal for God, be arose and said, "Hear me, O ye sons of Seth, small and great--when ye transgress the commandment of our fathers, and go down from this holy mountain--ye shall not come up hither again for ever."

30 But they rose up against Enoch, and would not hearken to his words, but went down from the Holy Mountain.

31 And when they looked at the daughters of Cain, at their beautiful figures, and at their hands and feet dyed with colour, and tattooed in ornaments on their faces, the fire of sin was kindled in them.

32 Then Satan made them look most beautiful before the sons of Seth, as he also made the sons of Seth appear of the fairest in the eyes of the daughters of Cain, so that the daughters of Cain lusted after the sons of

Seth like ravenous beasts, and the sons of Seth after the daughters of Cain, until they committed abomination with them.

33 But after they had thus fallen into this defilement, they returned by the way they had come, and tried to ascend the Holy Mountain. But they could not, because the stones of that holy mountain were of fire flashing before them, by reason of which they could not go up again.

As they descended the mountains they went from being Children of God to children of the devil. Enoch is warning them but not many are listening. Just like the flaming swords that kept the way into paradise, the stones of fire kept the children of Seth who were on the mountain safe and genetically pure. This is important to understand. The people who remained upon the Holy Mountains did not pervert their genos. This also builds a picture for us that the flood came not only because angels sinned, but also because man sinned. Men started following Satanas, and they enjoyed what they did.

The Second Book of Adam and Eve XX:34 And God was angry with them, and repented of them because they had come down from glory, and had thereby lost or forsaken their own purity or innocence, and were fallen into the defilement of sin.

The children of Seth who were on the mountains were not part of the world, they were worshipping as if they were in heaven. They worshipped like the angels worshipped. This was a holy place and a holy people. The Shekinah  Glory, the divine presence of the Elohim, resided on the Holy Mountains. To leave the presence of the Elohim to chase after sin is defilement. However it was not only about the sins of men, but also the sins of angels that caused the destruction of the earth.

The Second Book of Adam and Eve XX:35 Then God sent His Word to Jared, saying, "These thy children, whom thou didst call 'My children,'--behold they have transgressed My commandment, and have gone down to the abode of perdition, and of sin. Send a messenger to those that are left, that they may not go down, and be lost."

36 Then Jared wept before the Lord, and asked of Him mercy and forgiveness. But he wished that his soul might depart from his body, rather than hear these words from God about the going down of his children from the Holy Mountain.

37 But he followed God's order, and preached unto them not to go down from that holy mountain, and not to hold intercourse with the children of Cain.

38 But they heeded not his message, and would not obey his counsel.

Jared was grieved, but he followed God’s order and continued to preach even though most were not listening. However one of his heirs was listening. Noah. Enoch knows that he (Enoch) is going to be translated, so he tells everyone on the mountain that a flood is coming.

Forgotten Books of Eden; The Second Book of Adam and Eve XXII:4 Enoch continued in his ministry before the Lord three hundred and eighty-five years, and at the end of that time he became aware through the grace of God, that God intended to remove him from the earth.

5 He then said to his son, "O my son, I know that God intends to bring the waters of the Flood upon the earth, and to destroy our creation.

6 "And ye are the last rulers over this people on this mountain; for I know that not one will be left you to beget children on this holy mountain; neither shall any one of you rule over the children of his people; neither shall any great company be left of you, on this mountain."

7 Enoch said also to them, "Watch over your souls, and hold fast by your fear of God and by your service of Him, and worship Him in upright faith, and serve Him in righteousness, innocence and judgment, in repentance and also in purity."

8 When Enoch had ended his commandments to them, God transported him from that mountain to the land of life, to the mansions of the righteous and of the chosen, the abode of Paradise of joy, in light that reaches up to heaven; light that is outside the light of this world; for it is the light of God, that fills the whole world, but which no place can contain.

9 Thus, because Enoch was in the light of God, he found himself out of the reach of death; until God would have him die.

10 Altogether, not one of our fathers or of their children, remained on that holy mountain, except those three, Methuselah, Lamech, and Noah. For all the rest went down from the mountain and fell into sin with the children of Cain. Therefore were they forbidden that mountain, and none remained on it but those three men.

Enoch says that they should “watch over your souls”, which for those people at that time this should have been concerning, that their soul would be in jeopardy. This is sad as there were no righteous children of Seth left except the families of Methuselah, Lamech, and Noah. Enoch is still not dead yet.

Here is what will happen to Enoch and Elijah.

We see the lure of sin in our time and we recognize that we do have many people standing strong for Yahweh. Maybe not as many as we would like, but we see the righteous among us. We are not alone, together we are strong in not being led astray by Satanas. We should be doing what Seth and Jared did; warning everyone, regardless of their choices.

Gen 6:1  And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,

Gen 6:2  That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.

Gen 6:3  And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.

Gen 6:4  There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

Gen 6:5  And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

Gen 6:6  And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.

Gen 6:7  And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.

Gen 6:8  But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.

Noah was righteous. Because of Noah’s family line, there was always someone speaking from Yahweh to the people. This is how Noah had faith. Noah’s faith came by hearing, and hearing by the rhēma of the Elohim. This is why Noah’s faith led to his righteousness. He listened to those who spoke of God. The righteous live by faith, credence, and fidelity. Josephus relates Noah’s story too.

Josephus, Antiquities of the Jews 2:2:2(60) And when Cain had travelled over many countries, he, with his wife, built a city, named Nod, which is a place so called, and there he settled his abode; where also he had children. However, he did not accept of his punishment, in order to amendment, but to increase his wickedness; for he only aimed to procure everything that was for his own bodily pleasure, though it obliged him to be injurious to his neighbors. (61) He augmented his household substance with much wealth, by rapine and violence; he excited his acquaintance to procure pleasures and spoils by robbery, and became a great leader of men into wicked courses. He also introduced a change in that way of simplicity wherein men lived before; and was the author of measures and weights. And whereas they lived innocently and generously while they knew nothing of such arts, he changed the world into cunning craftiness. (62) He first of all set boundaries about lands; he built a city, and fortified it with walls, and he compelled his family to come together to it; and called that city Enoch, after the name of his eldest son Enoch. …….(66) Nay, even while Adam was alive, it came to pass that the posterity of Cain became exceeding wicked, every one successively dying one after another more wicked than the former. They were intolerable in war, and vehement in robberies; and if anyone were slow to murder people, yet was he bold in his profligate behavior, in acting unjustly and doing injuries for gain.

Josephus, F., & Whiston, W. (1987). The works of Josephus: complete and unabridged (p. 31). Peabody: Hendrickson.

It is interesting that evil ignited with Cain the first born son of the adam and Eve. Cain only accepted his punishment to leave the area so that he could do what he wanted, becoming more wicked and feeding his physical lusts. Remember, Cain and Seth had sons with the same names, the context tells us who is being spoken of. Josephus continues.

Josephus, Antiquities 3:1:1. (72) Now this posterity of Seth continued to esteem God as the Lord of the universe, and to have an entire regard to virtue, for seven generations; but in process of time they were perverted, and forsook the practices of their forefathers, and did neither pay those honors to God which were appointed them, nor had they any concern to do justice towards men. But for what degree of zeal they had formerly shown for virtue, they now showed by their actions a double degree of wickedness; whereby they made God to be their enemy, (73) for many angels of God accompanied with women, and begat sons that proved unjust, and despisers of all that was good, on account of the confidence they had in their own strength; for the tradition is, That these men did what resembled the acts of those whom the Grecians call giants. (74) But Noah was very uneasy at what they did; and, being displeased at their conduct, persuaded them to change their dispositions and their acts for the better;—but, seeing that they did not yield to him, but were slaves to their wicked pleasures, he was afraid they would kill him, together with his wife and children, and those they had married; so he departed out of that land.

2. (75) Now God loved this man for his righteousness; yet he not only condemned those other men for their wickedness, but determined to destroy the whole race of mankind, and to make another race that should be pure from wickedness; and, cutting short their lives, and making their years not so many as they formerly lived, but one hundred and twenty only, he turned the dry land into sea; (76) and thus were all these men destroyed: but Noah alone was saved; for God suggested to him the following contrivance and way of escape:—(77) That he should make an ark of four stories high, three hundred cubits long, fifty cubits broad, and thirty cubits high. Accordingly he entered into that ark, and his wife and sons, and their wives; and put into it not only other provisions, to support their wants there, but also sent in with the rest of all sorts of living creatures, the male and his female, for the preservation of their kinds; and others of them by sevens.

Josephus, F., & Whiston, W. (1987). The works of Josephus: complete and unabridged (pp. 32–33). Peabody: Hendrickson.

Josephus notes that seven generations worshipped God. Then Seth’s children began to be led down the mountain. Noah and his family were spared because Noah listened to the words that his forefathers spoke regarding the Elohim. Noah went from faith to faith or from out of credence to fidelity, or acceptance to loyalty. Noah the righteous, lived by faith. Noah built a big boat. This shows that his faith increased from the acceptance of the words spoken to the loyalty of Yahweh’s directions. He lived his faith.

Gen 6:9  These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.

Gen 6:10  And Noah begat three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

Gen 6:11  The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.

Gen 6:12  And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.

Gen 6:13  And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.

Gen 6:14  Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch.

We can imagine the doubt that others would have had. Rain? What is rain? Flood? What is a flood? We can imagine how the angels had to protect Noah and his family. It took one hundred and twenty years to build that big boat. After Methuselah’s death the animals were directed into the ark and the door was shut by the Elohim.

The Book of Jubilees was written by Moses while he was on Mt Sinai. It is also called The Little Genesis and The Apocalypse of Moses. Moses gives us further details.

Jubilees IV:15. And in the second week of the tenth jubilee Mahalalel took unto him to wife Dînâh, the daughter of Barâkî’êl the daughter of his father's brother, and she bare him a son in the third week in the sixth year, and he called his name Jared; for in his days the angels of the Lord descended on the earth, those who are named the Watchers, that they should instruct the children of men, and that they should do judgment and uprightness on the earth. 16. And in the eleventh jubilee Jared took to himself a wife, and her name was Bâraka, the daughter of Râsûjâl, a daughter of his father's brother, in the fourth week of this jubilee, and she bare him a son in the fifth week, in the fourth year of the jubilee, and he called his name Enoch. 17. And he was the first among men that are born on earth who learnt writing and knowledge and wisdom and who wrote down the signs of heaven according to the order of their months in a book, that men might know the seasons of the years according to the order of their separate months. 18. And he was the first to write a testimony, and he testified to the sons of men among the generations of the earth, and recounted the weeks of the jubilees, and made known to them the days of the years, and set in order the months and recounted the Sabbaths of the years as we made (them) known to him. 19. And what was and what will be he saw in a vision of his sleep, as it will happen to the children of men throughout their generations until the day of judgment; he saw and understood everything, and wrote his testimony, and placed the testimony on earth for all the children of men and for their generations. 20. And in the twelfth jubilee, in the seventh week thereof, he took to himself a wife, and her name was Ednî, the daughter of Dânêl, the daughter of his father's brother, and in the sixth year in this week she bare him a son and he called his name Methuselah. 21. And he was moreover with the angels of God these six jubilees of years, and they showed him everything which is on earth and in the heavens, the rule of the sun, and he wrote down everything. 22. And he testified to the Watchers, who had sinned with the daughters of men; for these had begun to unite themselves, so as to be defiled, with the daughters of men, and Enoch testified against (them) all. 23. And he was taken from amongst the children of men, and we conducted him into the Garden of Eden in majesty and honour, and behold there he writeth down the condemnation and judgment of the world, and all the wickedness of the children of men. 24. And on account of it (God) brought the waters of the flood upon all the land of Eden; for there he was set as a sign and that he should testify against all the children of men, that he should recount all the deeds of the generations until the day of condemnation.

As we know, the mission of the watchers was a failure. Instead of teaching men uprightness, they became unrighteous themselves. They then led men astray. Enoch wrote books for the future generations which Noah had brought with him on the ark. Enoch was taken off the earth and did not see death yet. We know that Enoch will come back to earth with Elijah when the saints are harpazo’d for the first half of the tribulation. Enoch’s words testified to Noah, and they testify to us today. Moses continues.

Jubilees V:1 And it came to pass when the children of men began to multiply on the face of the earth and daughters were born unto them, that the angels of God saw them on a certain year of this jubilee, that they were beautiful to look upon; and they took themselves wives of all whom they chose, and they bare unto them sons and they were giants. 2. And lawlessness increased on the earth and all flesh corrupted its way, alike men and cattle and beasts and birds and everything that walketh on the earth-all of them corrupted their ways and their orders, and they began to devour each other, and lawlessness increased on the earth and every imagination of the thoughts of all men (was) thus evil continually. 3. And God looked upon the earth, and behold it was corrupt, and all flesh had corrupted its orders, and all that were upon the earth had wrought all manner of evil before His eyes. 4. And He said: "I shall destroy man and all flesh upon the face of the earth which I have created." 5. But Noah found grace before the eyes of the Lord. 6. And against the angels whom He had sent upon the earth, He was exceedingly wroth, and He gave commandment to root them out of all their dominion, and He bade us to bind them in the depths of the earth, and behold they are bound in the midst of them, and are (kept) separate. 7. And against their sons went forth a command from before His face that they should be smitten with the sword, and be removed from under heaven. 8. And He said "Thy spirit will not always abide on man; for they also are flesh and their days shall be one hundred and twenty years." 9. And He sent His sword into their midst that each should slay his neighbour, and they began to slay each other till they all fell by the sword and were destroyed from the earth. 10. And their fathers were witnesses (of their destruction), and after this they were bound in the depths of the earth for ever, until the day of the great condemnation  when judgment is executed on all those who have corrupted their ways and their works before the Lord. 11. And He †destroyed† all from their places, and there †was† not left one of them whom He judged not according to all their wickedness. 12. And He †made† for all His works a new and righteous nature, so that they should not sin in their whole nature for ever, but should be all righteous each in his kind alway. 13. And the judgment of all is ordained and written on the heavenly tables in righteousness--even (the judgment of) all who depart from the path which is ordained for them to walk in; and if they walk not therein judgment is written down for every creature and for every kind. 14. And there is nothing in heaven or on earth, or in light or in darkness, or in Sheol or in the depth, or in the place of darkness (which is not judged); and all their judgments are ordained and written and engraved. 15. In regard to all He will judge, the great according to his greatness, and the small according to his smallness, and each according to his way. 16. And He is not one who will regard the person (of any), nor is He one who will receive gifts, if He saith that He will execute judgment on each: if one gave everything that is on the earth, He will not regard the gifts or the person (of any), nor accept anything at his hands, for He is a righteous judge. [17. And of the children of Israel it hath been written and ordained: If they turn to Him in righteousness, He will forgive all their transgressions and pardon all their sins. 18. It is written and ordained that He will show mercy to all who turn from all their guilt once each year.]  19. And as for all those who corrupted their ways and their thoughts before the flood, no man's person was accepted save that of Noah alone; for his person was accepted in behalf of his sons, whom (God) saved from the waters of the flood on his account; for his heart was righteous in all his ways, according as it was commanded regarding him, and he had not departed from aught that was ordained for him. 20. And the Lord said that He would destroy everything which was upon the earth, both men and cattle, and beasts, and fowls of the air, and that which moveth on the earth.

Moses says that Yahweh is a righteous judge. “The judgment of all is ordained and written on the heavenly tables in righteousness—“. Judgment in righteousness. Jesus will judge the world in righteousness. Those who corrupted their ways before the flood were not accepted. Yet Noah and his family were saved due to his righteousness. We can see the extreme evil that was on the earth, not only from the heirs of Cain but from the heirs of the Nephilim. It is no wonder that after the trauma of the flood and the rebuilding of humanity on earth that Noah drank some fermented grapes.

Noah did not depart from anything that he was ordained to do. Have we departed from what we are ordained to do? Have we made an excuse because the times we live in are hard? The righteous are saved, spared, and not appointed to wrath. Yet that does not mean that we should kick up our feet and relax. Everyone is ordained to walk a certain path. That path is between you and Yahweh. It is not necessarily the same path that someone else is on. You are you, and you and Yahweh determine your path. Noah did not depart from what he was ordained to do. We must have the same resolve to do the things that we are ordained to do.

While Noah lived in an extremely difficult time, he had an amazing forefather to learn from, Enoch. When the days are extremely evil, there is an extreme grace from Yahweh. There are people speaking for Yahweh on the earth. We can spend time with Yahweh to determine the path that we are ordained for. Then in our very present evil day, we can help to rescue others.

Sir 44:16  Enoch pleased the Lord, and was translated, being an example of repentance to all generations.

Sir 44:17  Noah was found perfect and righteous; in the time of wrath he was taken in exchange for the world; therefore was he left as a remnant unto the earth, when the flood came.

Sir 44:18  An everlasting covenant was made with him, that all flesh should perish no more by the flood.

The world will not perish by flood, but instead by fire. We can see that even when a small portion of the earth (Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, and Zebiom) became evil, they were destroyed by fire, although Lot and his daughters lived. We live in a different age. The age in which people can be saved by grace. Even though evil is increasing, grace is increasing too. Jesus tells us of a time at the end of the age that people will be burned with fire.

Mat 13:40  As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.

The word translated world here is really “eon” (aiōn) or “age”. The good seed are the children of the kingdom, the tares are the children of the wicked one. This is exactly what we saw in the antediluvian age, the children of Seth are the children of God, and Cains children are the children of Satanas.

Mat 13:41  The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;

Mat 13:42  And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Mat 13:43  Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

The gathering of the tares are done by angels. They will be thrown in a furnace of fire. Then, after the children of Satanas are cast into the fire, the righteous shine in the kingdom of the Father. The righteous have a different destiny. Why do people want to confuse the righteous with the unrighteous? All we have to do is walk our ordained path.

2Pe 3:7  But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

2Pe 3:10  But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

2Pe 3:11  Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

2Pe 3:12  Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

When does fire come? On the Day of the Lord and on the Day of God. The Day of the Lord is at the end of the tribulation. The Day of God is after the white throne judgment, when the new heaven and new earth come down out of heaven. The Day of the Lord is at the start of the seven thousandth year, the Day of God is at the start of the eight thousandth year. What do we need in order to be a part of the new heaven and new earth? Faith and righteousness, because without faith it is impossible to please Him.

Heb 11:5  By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.

Heb 11:6  But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Heb 11:7  By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.

Enoch did not see death yet and was translated because his witness pleased the Elohim. Enoch told people about the Elohim. Enoch explained the plans of the Elohim. Enoch shared his experiences, learning about the universe. Seth, Jared, and Enoch saved humanity by teaching Noah and his family.

Noah’s faith moved from acceptance to loyalty so he built an ark. Noah is the heir of righteousness which is by faith. Once we understand that the righteousness of the Elohim is uncovered from out of acceptance into loyalty, and that we live by loyalty to the Elohim, we can then see why the righteous are not appointed to wrath. To put it simply, Yahweh is looking for people who accept Him and are loyal to him. This is what makes believers righteous. It is not about the works we do, it is about our acceptance of Him and our loyalty to Him. Noah and his family saved humanity. Humanity had been polluted by the fallen Watchers and by Satanas, so that an overwhelming majority of antediluvian people did not even acknowledge the Elohim. Our own ordained path is the path that we walk. Noah built a big boat. Enoch taught everyone the knowledge of the Elohim. What is it that we who accept Yahweh and are loyal to Yahweh are to do? We need to find that out on our own.
