We studied Noah and the Nephilim last week and the age of the giants. What we saw was that the heirs of the Nephilim would be judged at the end of the age on the day of judgment. We noted that the spirits of the children of the Nephil did not go into hades or death but remained on the earth, tormenting humans. We also studied that either some giants survived the flood as Josephus suggests, or more angel watchers procreated with earth women because we see giants inhabiting the promised land of Israel. It is clear that after the flood there were still giants in the land, and the Israelites were to get rid of all of them. But as we know, they did not. We will look at the continued conflict of the giants and the Israelites. We will see that Nimrod was not just any hunter. We will look at the valley of the giants, and the bones of the giants. We will also observe that there are certain characteristics of this race; not simply physical, but societal and mental traits that seem to identify them. Whether they are more susceptible to evil or they are genetically programmed for a tendency towards evil we are not sure. We do know that they fought to inhabit the region of mount Hermon for a reason. The region of mount Hermon, Hebron, and Gaza are all still hot points today. Is it possible that the disembodied spirits of the children of the Nephil gather at mount Hermon too? Is it possible that the very same places these beings once inhabited are the places that some evil spirits still fight humans, and are attempting to destroy the righteous inhabitants?
As we have studied several aspects of the Nephilim, I would point out that our folklore of zombies comes from the Rephaim. The scapegoat ritual is due to a fallen angel. Also the strange behaviors of Sodom after the battle of the five kings is influenced by the Nephil. Here are a few places where we have studied these subjects before.
As we know, Enoch named the leaders of the watchers who all came to earth, made a pact, and bore children with humans. Enoch has a dream in which he sees the stars falling, coming to the earth. He then sees them bound up in the abyss.
Enoch [Chapter 86] 1 And again I looked with my eyes as I slept, and I saw the heaven above, and behold a star fell from heaven, and it arose and ate and pastured among those oxen (bulls). 2 And after that I saw the large and the black oxen (bulls), and behold they all changed their stalls and pastures and their heifers (cattle) , and began to live with each other. 3 And again I saw in the vision, and looked towards heaven, and behold I saw many stars descend and cast themselves down from heaven to that first star, and they became bulls among those cattle and pastured with them. 4 And I looked at them and saw they all let out their private (sexual) members, like horses, and began to mount the cows of the bulls (oxen), and they all became pregnant and bore elephants, camels, and asses. 5 And all the bulls (oxen) feared them and were frightened of them, and began to bite with their teeth and to devour, and to gore with their horns. 6 And, moreover, they began to devour those oxen; and behold all the children of the earth began to tremble and shake before them and to flee from them.
[Chapter 87] 1 And again I saw how they began to gore each other and to devour each other, and the earth began to cry aloud. 2 And I raised my eyes again to heaven, and I saw in the vision, and behold there came out from heaven beings who were like white men, and four went out from that place and three others with them. 3 And those three that had come out last grasped me by my hand and took me up, away from the generations of the earth, and raised me up to a high place, and showed me a tower raised high above the earth, and all the hills were lower. 4 And one said to me: 'Remain here until you see everything that befalls those elephants, camels, and asses, and the stars and the oxen, and all of them.’
[Chapter 88] 1 And I saw one of those four who had come out first, and he seized that first star which had fallen from heaven, and bound it hand and foot and cast it into an abyss; now that abyss was narrow and deep, and horrible and dark. 2 And one of them drew a sword, and gave it to those elephants and camels and asses then they began to smite each other, and the whole earth shook because of them. 3 And as I was beholding in the vision one of those four who had come out stoned them from heaven, and gathered and took all the great stars whose private (sexual) members were like those of horses, and bound them all hand and foot, and threw them in an abyss of the earth.
Lumpkin, Joseph. Enoch, Jubilees, Jasher: Banned from the Bible (p. 74-75). Fifth Estate. Kindle Edition.
In Enoch’s dream he sees the stars who fell and cohabitated with women. He sees the bloodshed that took place after this time. He also sees those “stars” being bound and sent to the abyss. He then goes on and talks about what will happen with Noah. Enoch’s dream goes further into the future to the time of the millennial reign talking about those “stars” who will be judged.
As we know from history, Nimrod became an overlord of many people and he intentionally turned the people away from Yahweh. It was at this point in history that the people were told to spread out over the land and multiply, but the people were afraid that they would be killed by other tribes, so they stayed in Ur under Nimrod. But notice the way Lancelot Brenton translates these verses in Genesis.
Genesis 10:8 And Chus begot Nebrod: he began to be a giant upon the earth. 9 He was a giant hunter before the Lord God; therefore they say, As Nebrod the giant hunter before the Lord.
Brenton, Sir Lancelot C. L.. The Researcher's Library of Ancient Texts - Volume III: The Septuagint: Translation by Sir Lancelot C. L. Brenton 1851 (The Researchers Library of Ancient Texts Book 3) . Defense Publishing. Kindle Edition.
Nimrod was not just a mighty hunter, he was a giant hunter. That changes the dynamic of what he was doing. Nimrod was hunting giants. Why? Because they threatened his kingdom. Later when Chodollogomor/Chedorlaomer, who had been an officer under Nimrod, branched out into his own kingdom, we see Chedorlaomer putting the tribes of giants under his authority. But when they rebelled, Chedorlaomer enlisted Nimrod, and they along with others killed those giants in the region of the Dead Sea. This was the battle of the five kings, to which Abraham then fought against Chedorlaomer, freed Lot, and took their spoils.
Now let’s think rationally for a moment. The hunters who were the giants before the flood, had now become the hunted after the flood. If giants were being hunted, wouldn’t it be reasonable to think that some would have left the middle east? Wouldn’t it be understandable as to why we find large remains buried in Europe and the America’s? Wouldn’t it also be reasonable to assume that they believe the land of Canaan, which is Semite and Israelite land, to be theirs? Wouldn’t it also seem to explain the harsh contentions against Israel today? Is it possible the heirs of the Nephilim want to possess the region of mount Hermon, the place that their fathers came to earth? What if those disembodied spirits of the children of the Nephil like this region? What if the constant contentions in Hebron, Gaza, and Jerusalem are due to territorial spirits inhabiting the region? Wouldn’t this be why the giants stayed in this region and worshipped strange gods? Is there a generational spiritual connection for certain people to mount Hermon?
After the exodus and the wandering in the desert, the children of Jacob were finally going to enter the promised land. As Joshua leads them into the land, the tribes have to displace the inhabitants. As the Semite and Israelite portions were occupied, the sons of Jacob had to fight. Before entering Egypt the sons of Jacob were fierce warriors as recorded in the Book of Jasher. But after leaving Egypt they were not. This is why the spies were scared of the giants in the land, they had been “safe” in Egypt for four hundred years. They didn’t even fight the slavery of the Egyptians.
Joshua 12:1-5 (KJV)
1 Now these are the kings of the land, which the children of Israel smote, and possessed their land on the other side Jordan toward the rising of the sun, from the river Arnon unto mount Hermon, and all the plain on the east:
2 Sihon king of the Amorites, who dwelt in Heshbon, and ruled from Aroer, which is upon the bank of the river Arnon, and from the middle of the river, and from half Gilead, even unto the river Jabbok, which is the border of the children of Ammon;
3 And from the plain to the sea of Chinneroth on the east, and unto the sea of the plain, even the salt sea on the east, the way to Bethjeshimoth; and from the south, under Ashdothpisgah:
4 And the coast of Og king of Bashan, which was of the remnant of the giants, that dwelt at Ashtaroth and at Edrei,
5 And reigned in mount Hermon, and in Salcah, and in all Bashan, unto the border of the Geshurites and the Maachathites, and half Gilead, the border of Sihon king of Heshbon.
The tribes of giants at this time period were living around mount Hermon. The very place where their forefathers came to earth and impregnated women. While it is possible this was simply convenient, it is more probable that they had been hoping there would be another group of watchers that would descend to aid them and reproduce once again. Wouldn’t this explain the constant contentions in the land of Israel? Isn’t this the underlying spiritual reason as to why all the mid-east nations hate Israel today? Is it possible that the opposing mid-east nations want to take back this region so that they can “call down” spiritual entities for their benefit? It would seem mount Hermon became a portal of angelic activity. Think back to Jacob’s dream of a ladder with angels ascending and descending. Jacob saw a portal.
If we remember the legends of Solomon who used his spiritual authority to command demons to build the temple, we will understand why Israel is hated. The Jews know that the Messiah will come to the mountains, so they want control of the region. The Christians know that the Messiah already came to the region and will come again at the end of the tribulation. The other nations know that they can use man’s own spiritual authority to invoke demonic help and they want control of the region to utilize spiritual power.
Instead of calling Og a “remnant of the giants”, Young’s Literal Translation calls Og a “remnant of the Rephaim”. Both are properly translated as the Rephaim are a tribe of giants. Yet when we read the words Rephaim we have to make the mental note that these people are heirs of the Nephilim.
Joshua 12:4 (YLT)
4 And the border of Og king of Bashan (of the remnant of the Rephaim), who is dwelling in Ashtaroth and in Edrei,
Joshua is going to die and the people haven’t possessed all of the land. Remember how some of Joshua’s officers were tricked into allowing one of the tribes to stay in the land? (The Gibeonites, Joshua 9)
Joshua 13:1-3 (KJV)
1 Now Joshua was old and stricken in years; and the LORD said unto him, Thou art old and stricken in years, and there remaineth yet very much land to be possessed.
2 This is the land that yet remaineth: all the borders of the Philistines, and all Geshuri,
3 From Sihor, which is before Egypt, even unto the borders of Ekron northward, which is counted to the Canaanite: five lords of the Philistines; the Gazathites, and the Ashdothites, the Eshkalonites, the Gittites, and the Ekronites; also the Avites:
Notice that the tribes that were not displaced at the time of Joshua’s death. Remember the word Philistine means “other different tribes”. The Philistines had five lords which tells us they had at least five different mixed tribes being represented. When we read these names we generally miss who they were. The Philistines had borders and five lords. The Canaanites had borders as well. The Geshuri and the Avites were part of the unconquered groups. These were all mixed tribes, humans and giants living among one another. Abraham and Shem lived among them. Why?
On the one hand we recognize that this was Semite land. But what if Shem/Melchizedek/Adonizedek and Abraham believed it would be better to bring these chimera to Yahweh rather than to kill them. Wouldn’t it be better to turn the giants to the Lord rather than let them serve the devil? It seems the reports of Shem and Abraham in the land were that they generally got along very well with everyone there. Once again, Abraham married a Canaanite and had six sons with her who were all circumcised and many of which became priests of Yahweh. But there may be a marker that we can explore regarding these mixed people which we will notice shortly.
Joshua 13:12 (KJV)
12 All the kingdom of Og in Bashan, which reigned in Ashtaroth and in Edrei, who remained of the remnant of the giants: for these did Moses smite, and cast them out.
The Israelites drove out the giants who were living in the region of mount Hermon, but some of the tribes moved to the coast. There is something to be aware of here. Each tribe had their own “gods”. Why? Wouldn’t they know their own history as being from fallen watcher angels? Who then are they worshipping? They are worshipping other fallen spiritual beings. They know their forefathers were imprisoned, so there is no use in worshiping them, but they also know there are other fallen sons of God who are ruling and reigning with the devil in his cosmos. Meanwhile, the spirits of the children of the Nephil are now roaming the region looking for a warm body to inhabit.
There is a difference here between these beings and dumb idols. Dumb idols are man made figures, while some of these “gods” are principalities, powers, or rulers in the devil’s domain. Jesus understood them well, and as we know, they knew Jesus and who he was/is. This is why the demons cried out to Jesus asking if he was going to throw them in the abyss before their time.
Something else to consider is that at this time, during the entering of the promised land, the genetic make-up of the giants had not been mixed with humans for too many generations. After the flood, those heirs of the Nephilim who did not die banded together. As time went on they mixed with humans. The giants, the heirs of the Nephil, know that they are genetically different. They look different than humans, they think different than humans, they act different than humans. The giants were not necessarily uncivilized, but their DNA made them different. We can think of Sodom after the battle of the five kings for one example. Their minds’ were very different. They didn’t seem to be bothered by bloodshed, or being evil towards others. In fact they seem to hunger for evil, calling evil, “good”.
In Joshua 15 we see the phrase “valley of the giants”. This was near the Hinnom valley, where people burned their children alive to Moloch and Baal. It later became known as the fires of hell, Gehenna, or “the place of the damned”. Once again, Young’s Literal Translation calls this area “the valley of the Rephaim”.
Joshua 15:8-9 (KJV)
8 And the border went up by the valley of the son of Hinnom unto the south side of the Jebusite; the same is Jerusalem: and the border went up to the top of the mountain that lieth before the valley of Hinnom westward, which is at the end of the valley of the giants northward:
9 And the border was drawn from the top of the hill unto the fountain of the water of Nephtoah, and went out to the cities of mount Ephron; and the border was drawn to Baalah, which is Kirjathjearim:
Joshua 15:8 (YLT)
8 and the border hath gone up the valley of the son of Hinnom, unto the side of the Jebusite on the south (it is Jerusalem), and the border hath gone up unto the top of the hill-country which is on the front of the valley of Hinnom westward, which is in the extremity of the valley of the Rephaim northward;
We can understand that in Joshua’s time of leading the people into their promised land, there were pockets of giants in the region. There was a valley where many lived. Now Joshua tells the tribe of Joseph to move into the region of the giants.
Joshua 17:14-15 (KJV)
14 And the children of Joseph spake unto Joshua, saying, Why hast thou given me but one lot and one portion to inherit, seeing I am a great people, forasmuch as the LORD hath blessed me hitherto?
15 And Joshua answered them, If thou be a great people, then get thee up to the wood country, and cut down for thyself there in the land of the Perizzites and of the giants, if mount Ephraim be too narrow for thee.
What was to happen if the Israelites would possess all their rightful land? There would be a closed portal for fallen angelic activity. The region would not be hampered and the evil places where human sacrifice had been practiced would be cleansed. The demons of the region would be bound from inhabiting humans by the authority of the Israelites. Instead many of the Israelites became partakers of evil spiritual practices. The nation of Joseph, split into two tribes and was redefining borders so that the children of Jacob can inherit and control their own land.
Joshua 18:16 (KJV)
16 And the border came down to the end of the mountain that lieth before the valley of the son of Hinnom, and which is in the valley of the giants on the north, and descended to the valley of Hinnom, to the side of Jebusi on the south, and descended to Enrogel,
After Joshua’s death, the government of Jacob’s children was given to the tribe of Judah. They were to destroy the race of the Canaanites. Notice what Josephus says about the race of giants.
Josephus 5:2:1 After the death of Joshua and Eleazar, Phineas prophesied, that according to God's will they should commit the government to the tribe of Judah, and that this tribe should destroy the race of the Canaanites; for then the people were concerned to learn what was the will of God. They also took to their assistance the tribe of Simeon; but upon this condition, that when those that had been tributary to the tribe of Judah should be slain, they should do the like for the tribe of Simeon.
2. But the affairs of the Canaanites were at this thee in a flourishing condition, and they expected the Israelites with a great army at the city Bezek, having put the government into the hands of Adonibezek, which name denotes the Lord of Bezek, for Adoni in the Hebrew tongue signifies Lord. Now they hoped to have been too hard for the Israelites, because Joshua was dead; but when the Israelites had joined battle with them, I mean the two tribes before mentioned, they fought gloriously, and slew above ten thousand of them, and put the rest to flight; and in the pursuit they took Adonibezek, who, when his fingers and toes were cut off by them, said, "Nay, indeed, I was not always to lie concealed from God, as I find by what I now endure, while I have not been ashamed to do the same to seventy-two kings." So they carried him alive as far as Jerusalem; and when he was dead, they buried him in the earth, and went on still in taking the cities: and when they had taken the greatest part of them, they besieged Jerusalem; and when they had taken the lower city, which was not under a considerable time, they slew all the inhabitants; but the upper city was not to be taken without great difficulty, through the strength of its walls, and the nature of the place.
3. For which reason they removed their camp to Hebron; and when they had taken it, they slew all the inhabitants. There were till then left the race of giants, who had bodies so large, and countenances so entirely different from other men, that they were surprising to the sight, and terrible to the hearing. The bones of these men are still shown to this very day, unlike to any credible relations of other men. Now they gave this city to the Levites as an extraordinary reward, with the suburbs of two thousand cities; but the land thereto belonging they gave as a free gift to Caleb, according to the injunctions of Moses. This Caleb was one of the spies which Moses sent into the land of Canaan. They also gave land for habitation to the posterity of Jethro, the Midianite, who was the father-in-law to Moses; for they had left their own country, and followed them, and accompanied them in the wilderness.
The Works of Flavius Josephus.
The bones of the giants were on display in Josephus’ time. Isn’t that interesting? They kept the bones of the giants around for people to see. It’s possible that this was done to remind people of the time of Noah, but maybe more so to remind people of their mission as Jacob’s heirs. Their mission as we see from Moses’ writings was to evangelize the world and to subdue evil on the earth. The bones at Josephus’ time simply proved to people that scripture was/is true. How would an enemy keep us from believing the Bible? Destroy Biblical evidences.
Imagine what it must have been like during the first century to know that there were the bones of the giants on display. It would be obvious that there had been a problem in the days before the flood. It would be known that the stories of David, Goliath, and Og, were all true. It would be known that the story of Noah was an important aspect of humanity that should not be ignored. Then Jesus comes to earth, exposes demons and the devil, and tells people that he is going to send the Holy Spirit so that they can have spiritual power and authority. Today we are not taught about the giants or our spiritual authority. In fact many deny the Nephilim and their earth born heirs altogether.
Around seven hundred years after this time of Josephus’ writings, Muslim women were wearing head coverings because of the jinn. So while some middle eastern cultures continued in their understanding of the fallen angels, the western cultures were erasing this knowledge. The Masoretes were erasing this culture by changing some words as we will see shortly.
Notice where some of the giants were killed, in Hebron. Josephus tells us their bodies were large, their countenances were different than men, and they seemed to not be like men. But what happens if over the years there is continual inbreeding with humans? Continual genetic mixing changes the once large giants into more human like appearances. Notice what verse 6 of Judges says.
Judges 3:1-10 (AMP)
1 NOW THESE are the nations which the Lord left to prove Israel by them, that is, all in Israel who had not previously experienced war in Canaan;
2 It was only that the generations of the Israelites might know and be taught war, at least those who previously knew nothing of it.
3 The remaining nations are: the five lords of the Philistines, all the Canaanites, the Sidonians, and the Hivites who dwelt on Mount Lebanon from Mount Baal-hermon to the entrance of Hamath.
4 They were for the testing and proving of Israel to know whether Israel would listen and obey the commandments of the Lord, which He commanded their fathers by Moses.
5 And the Israelites dwelt among the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites;
6 And they married their daughters and gave their own daughters to their sons, and served their gods.
7 And the Israelites did evil in the sight of the Lord and forgot the Lord their God and served the Baals and the Ashtaroth.
8 So the anger of the Lord was kindled against Israel, and He sold them into the hand of Chushan-rishathaim king of Mesopotamia; and the Israelites served Chushan-rishathaim eight years.
9 But when the Israelites cried to the Lord, the Lord raised up a deliverer for the people of Israel to deliver them, Othniel son of Kenaz, Caleb's younger brother.
10 The Spirit of the Lord came upon him, and he judged Israel. He went out to war, and the Lord delivered Chushan-rishathaim king of Mesopotamia into his hand and his hand prevailed over Chushan-rishathaim.
Let’s look at who these people were. We know about the Philistines and the Canaanites. The Sidonians were descended from Canaan and lived on the sea. Later known as Phoenicians; Jezebel was a Sidonian. The Hivites were also descendants of Canaan, but lived in the region of mount Hermon. The Hittites were also descendants of Canaan, however these people looked differently. They are said to have yellow skin, and mongoloid features, meaning they looked Asian. Their own carved statues show them with receding foreheads, slanted eyes and protruding upper jaws. They inhabited Asia Minor. The Amorites were very tall, like Og who was a giant, and seemed to have fair skin, red hair, blue eyes, hooked noses, and pointed beards. They lived in the mountains in and around mount Hermon. The Perizzites lived near mount Carmel in open country. The Jebusites were also descendants of Canaan who lived in what was later called the City of David. They lived alongside Shem/Melchizedek/Adonizedek, and served Yahweh, which is why David had no reservations in bringing the ark to Jebus/Jerusalem, and merging the Zedek/Zadok priests with the Levites.
We see that the inhabitants of Canaan were not all driven out of the region and some of these people were heirs, descendants of the giants. We see the mixing of the heirs of Jacob with the nations that lived in the land. The Israelites also worshiped and served the Baals and Ashtaroth, the gods of the giants. It doesn’t seem like the Lord was angry when the Israelites married into these other families, (Abraham is one example). The job of the Israelites was to bring Yahweh to the nations. Shem and Abraham brought the knowledge of Yahweh to people. Now it was the duty of the heirs of Jacob to inhabit the land and share Yahweh with the residents of Canaan. Instead the Lord was angry the Israelites served the gods of the heirs of the Nephilim. The Israelites then went into captivity for eight years. This will be a repeated pattern throughout the Book of Judges.
Judges 10:6-8 (AMP)
6 And the Israelites again did what was evil in the sight of the Lord, served the Baals, the Ashtaroth [female deities], the gods of Syria, the gods of Sidon, the gods of Moab, the gods of the Ammonites, and the gods of the Philistines. They forsook the Lord and did not serve Him.
7 And the anger of the Lord was kindled against Israel, and He sold them into the hands of the Philistines and the Ammonites,
8 And they oppressed and crushed and broke the Israelites that year. For eighteen years they oppressed all the Israelites beyond the Jordan in the land of the Amorites, which is in Gilead.
The Israelites were being sold to the heirs of the Nephilim. Their punishment tells us something. These nations were being used to punish Israel, and after eight years, then eighteen years, then forty years, the people were mixing with these nations.
Judges 13:1 (AMP)
1 AND THE Israelites again did what was evil in the sight of the Lord, and the Lord gave them into the hands of the Philistines for forty years.
Now think about this. Saul, the first king of Israel was from the tribe of Benjamin. He was head and shoulders above everyone else. We know that the Benjamites mixed with the people of their region as we studied a while back in Judges. We know that the tribe of Benjamin was then nearly wiped out because of their sins of rape and attempted rape of a Levite. We also know that other women were captured and given to the Benjamites so that they would not die out. What do we see from this? Is it possible that residual mixed DNA has a twist to it? We see Saul had mental problems, we see the mental problems of the Sodomites and the Benjamites.
In the church we wonder why we have sexual predators, adulterers, pedophiles, and human trafficking. We mistakenly do what the rest of the world does, we protect the predators and not the victims. Is the church in the same predicament as the Israelites? Has the church been infiltrated by people with serious mental and sexual disorders? We are to make disciples of all nations, Nephilim nations included. We are to call evil, evil. We are not to call evil, good. This is our dilemma. We are in the same predicament as the Israelites. We try to make disciples, then we become indoctrinated by the world we are to witness to, and then we lose our power and authority over demons. This cycle is on repeat, with the exception of living in the land of the giants. The attitudes and ideals of the giants is prevailing over all of us. It is up to us to bind evil. Re-read the seven letters to the churches John scribed for Jesus. Notice what Jesus says. Why are there so many sexually perverse admonitions to the church?
Let’s look at a few ideas by some of the Bible authors. Job tells us giants are not birthing babies in the abyss.
Job 26:5-6 (YLT)
5 The Rephaim are formed, Beneath the waters, also their inhabitants.
6 Naked is Sheol over-against Him, And there is no covering to destruction.
Job 26:4 G5100 To whom did G312 you announce G4487 words? G4157 [3breath G1161 1and G5100 2whose] G1510.2.3 is it G3588 that G1831 comes forth G1537 from G1473 you?
5 G3361 Shall G1095.2 giants G3105.1 act as midwife G5270.1 from beneath G5204 the water, G2532 and G3588 G1069 for his neighbors? G1473
6 G1131 [2is naked G3588 G86 1Hades] G1799 before G1473 him, G2532 and G3756 there is no G1510.2.3 G4018 wrap-around garment G3588 G684 for destruction.
Job is asking, who told Bildad that man is not justified before God, and who’s breath comes out of him? Job asks lest the giants who act as midwives under the waters for their neighbors. In other words, whose spirit is in Bildad, and can giants hide birthing other giants under the waters/abyss, the place where hades is? There are no new spirits of the giants. The giants are not birthing more babies in the abyss. Hades is seen by Yahweh, and hades, the place of the imprisoned spirits, has no covering from destruction. Job is suggesting that giants can’t hide and yet their spirits can influence people’s ideas and words. Job is pointing out that Bildad is influenced by a demonic spirit, and that there is nothing hidden from God.
David gives us an interesting perspective. He says that the sun comes out of its bridal chamber and will rejoice like a giant.
Psalm 19:5 In the sun he has set his tabernacle; and he comes forth as a bridegroom out of his chamber: he will exult as a giant to run his course.
Psalm 19:5 G2532 And G1473 he, G5613 as G3566 a groom G1607 going forth G1537 from out of G3956.3 his nuptial chamber, G1473 G21 shall exult G5613 as G1095.2 a giant G5143 running G3598 a journey.
The idea of a giant rejoicing running a journey, or down a road, is similar to what Goliath did. Goliath went out before the Philistine army like a celebrity. He marched along as the undefeated champion in pride and arrogance. David is saying that the sun comes out of his house with pomp and pride, like a conqueror of darkness. Now notice what the Masoretes did to the word giant.
Psalm 19:5 H1931 והוא Which H2860 כחתן as a bridegroom H3318 יצא coming out H2646 מחפתו of his chamber, H7797 ישׂישׂ rejoiceth H1368 כגבור as a strong man H7323 לרוץ to run H734 ארח׃ a race.

The Masoretes altered the word “giant”, a noun, to a “strong man”, an adjective. While a giant may be a “strong man”, a giant parading himself as the “savior of his people” is a far more defined understanding compared to simply a strong man. The Masoretes changed the wording of “giants” which essentially erased their history and heritage. In this case, if we understand that the giants were celebrated by their nations and put out in front to fight the battles we can make sense of what the Philistines did with Goliath. Goliath was their mighty warrior, he was their intimidation factor. Yahweh was not intimidated, neither was David. Had the Romans and Masoretes not changed written history by erasing the giants, we could understand the Bible and our own day better.
We should expand our thinking. Yahweh created the angels, they were not unloved beings. Some of them rebelled, that still does not make them unloved by Yahweh. However their actions are punishable by Yahweh. The mixing of humans and angels created a genetically mutated race. But Yahweh doesn’t hate the children of the Nephil. He hates their actions which are influenced by the devil, the one who is the prick or goad, and the ingrafter of demonic spirits into humans.
The Psalm of Core/Korah asks the question, do the Rephaim rise?
Psalm 88:10 (YLT)
10 To the dead dost Thou do wonders? Do Rephaim rise? do they thank Thee? Selah.
Part of this Psalm is explaining the sorrow and trouble that the righteous face. The question asked here is, does God do wonders for the dead? No. Do the Rephaim rise? No. Do the Rephaim thank the Lord? No. Does anyone declare the mercy of the Lord from the tomb? No. The point here is the Rephaim will not rise up from the dead, they will be punished. The Grigori, the imprisoned giants, will be punished for their misdeeds.
Proverbs 2:13 Alas for those who forsake right paths, to walk in ways of darkness; 14 who rejoice in evils, and delight in wicked perverseness; 15 whose paths are crooked, and their courses winding; 16 to remove thee far from the straight way, and to estrange thee from a righteous purpose. My son, let not evil counsel overtake thee, 17 of her who has forsaken the instruction of her youth, and forgotten the covenant of God. 18 For she has fixed her house near death, and guided her wheels near Hades with the giants. 19 None that go by her shall return, neither shall they take hold of right paths, for they are not apprehended of the years of life. 20 For had they gone in good paths, they would have found the paths of righteousness easy. 21 For the upright shall dwell in the earth, and the holy shall be left behind in it. 22 The paths of the ungodly shall perish out of the earth, and transgressors shall be driven away from it.
Wisdom, the Spirit of Wisdom, aka the Holy Spirit, keeps people from hades. Those who forsake Wisdom end up building a house in hades with the giants.
Proverbs 2:18-19 (YLT)
18 For her house hath inclined unto death, And unto Rephaim her paths.
19 None going in unto her turn back, Nor do they reach the paths of life.
Again Solomon makes a comparison to people choosing an unrighteous path, and being in hades with the giants.
Proverbs 9:13-18 (DRV)
13 A foolish woman and clamorous, and full of allurements, and knowing nothing at all,
14 Sat at the door of her house, upon a seat, in a high place of the city,
15 To call them that pass by the way, and go on their journey:
16 He that is a little one, let him turn to me. And to the fool she said:
17 Stolen waters are sweeter, and hidden bread is more pleasant.
18 And he did not know that giants are there, and that her guests are in the depths of hell. The Parables of Solomon

Proverbs 9:18 (YLT)
18 And he hath not known that Rephaim are there, In deep places of Sheol her invited ones!
The unrighteous don’t know that they will be invited guests of the Rephaim.
Proverbs 21:13 He that stops his ears from hearing the poor, himself also shall cry, and there shall be none to hear him. 14 A secret gift calms anger: but he that forbears to give stirs up strong wrath. 15 It is the joy of the righteous to do judgment: but a holy man is abominable with evil-doers. 16 A man that wanders out of the way of righteousness, shall rest in the congregation of giants.
Proverbs 21:16 (YLT)
16 A man who is wandering from the way of understanding, In an assembly of Rephaim resteth.
Proverbs 21:16 A man that wanders out of the way of righteousness, shall rest in the congregation of giants.

Again the unrighteous will end up in the assembly or congregation of the giants in hades. Korah and Solomon keep bringing up the giants. It may be that they had the bones of the giants on display as well. Giving people the knowledge that the unrighteous will await judgment with the giants seems like a good deterrent to committing evil.
Wisdom 14:6 For in the old time also, when the proud giants perished, the hope of the world governed by thy hand escaped in a weak vessel, and left to all ages a seed of generation. 7 For blessed is the wood whereby righteousness cometh.
Solomon also mentions in a practical application that the hope of the world, or the hope of humanity was Noah and his family in a weak vessel. Then he flips the narrative to a prophetic application and says, ‘blessed is the wood whereby righteousness commeth'. The wood of the cross brought righteousness for humanity. Since the time of Jesus, righteousness was made available to all who desire it. In the times of old, Noah made a way in a weak vessel. In like manner, Jesus took on a weak vessel, in the form of humans. In old time the proud giants perished. In future times the proud giants will again perish. Pride is a characteristic of the giants. Why? They are descendants of angels who are more knowledgable about the universe, and physically stronger than humans. Yet humans were created to procreate. Angels were not created to procreate. It always seems that the devil uses one thing we cannot do or cannot have as a tool to cause us to fall into unrighteousness.
What we understand is that the races of giants are different than humans. The Israelites were to teach the giants instead of becoming servants of the giants, and inevitably serving their lesser gods. Just like Abraham and Shem, living among the various races of giants should not cause us to fall into unrighteousness. We see that the giants lived in and around mount Hermon and they seem to still want that land today. They must believe that there is a spiritual connection to the demons, or to other fallen angels to be so contentious as to want to wipe Israel off the map. Israel is the gate keeper of the portal, and while we see that Israel has been so infiltrated with the Nephil, we also see that those who follow Yahweh should be keeping the doors closed. The Christians have taken up some of that assignment, as if holding up the arms of Moses, but Christianity has been systematically overrun by the disembodied spirits of the children of the Nephil. Christianity has its own warnings and admonitions, as well as its own denial of the giants. We simply have to regain this lost knowledge so that Jesus’ words to the seven churches will help us to be overcomers.
We have taken history up to the time of the Psalms and Proverbs but we have to backtrack next week and look at David and Goliath.
