One of the truly amazing things about ancient history is that we have no idea how some things have been created, just that they were. This leaves head scratching and conjecture and guessing. Sometimes details complicate our pre existing notions of the world and our history. The existence of giants on the earth in the days of Jared seems to boggle our minds, and the mythology of the ancient cultures complicates the matter, with gods and men and half men half beasts fighting and warring. So what we humans do is mix and match everything and attribute everything to the Nephilim, Angels, or the Anunnaki, who we make all the same beings. However they are not all the same.
The Nephilim were the offspring of the angels who left their first estate. They came from where ever they were to Mount Hermon and took wives for themselves. They multiplied over the earth, seemingly they were quite tall and they became dominators of humans. One of the things they had was a different genetic makeup, and while their fathers were knowledgeable of more of the universe then men, they also had a better knowledge of God then men did. Whatever mankind lost in the fall, that caused separation from God, the angels still had. But when the angels left their first estate they ended up locked in chains until judgment day, Jude 6; II Peter2:4-5 Some people would speculate that the Nephilim had the same knowledge as their fathers the angels that sinned, but they would not have had firsthand knowledge. They could have had learned knowledge of God and the universe and they could have had a spiritual connection to satan who fell before their fathers did. The fallen angels are bound; then the imprisoned spirits, nine tenths of the disembodied spirits of the Nephilim, are imprisoned. Jesus preached his victory to them (and others) while he was in the grave three days and three nights IPeter3:19-20.
Now we have to understand that there were one tenth of the disembodied spirits of the Nephilim left on the earth after the flood. We also have to wonder how large giant type people were born after the flood. Seemingly they come from the line of Ham, the Canaanites. Rationally, Ham’s wife could have had some Nephilim DNA, or as some think, maybe not all died in the flood. Either way the best we know is that there were giants after the flood. Do we have physical evidence of giants on the earth? Yes we do. Mostly in back room museums but there are physical remains. Native Americans had legends of giants and if Hollywood had not distorted Native tradition, we would have always known about their fears. One reason we see Native Americans hold up their hands in salute to one another was not to say hello, but to show how many fingers they had. Traditionally giants had six fingers and six toes, 24 digits, just as Goliath’s brothers had. Some of that recessive gene is still in existence today as just a few years ago a baby was born with 24 digits. Between cave drawings and physical bones of giants, we know that they were here after the flood. I want to point you to Klaus Dona who being interviewed shows many artifacts, towards the end of the video he shows bones found in a cave in South America. Once again there are too many things to ponder here. How did the ancients, who supposedly were so barbaric, know so much? Almost unbelievable, except if we go back to our time line we will understand what timeframe we are looking at.
To recap so far, fallen angels have been put in chains until the judgment, 9/10ths of the disembodied spirits of the Nephilim are imprisoned until the judgment. One tenth of the disembodied spirits roam the earth looking for a warm body to inhabit. This brings us to who the Anunnaki are.

Thirty thousand clay tablets were found in the area of Sumer. The stories they tell have led to all sorts of misinformation. According to the tablets, the Anunnaki were race of beings from another planet that came to earth to mine gold for the atmosphere of their planet. They were highly intelligent and sophisticated and possessed technology we can’t even duplicate today. They came here around 450,000 years ago. This is where things get confused. Some want to put them into a modern timeframe, some want to stretch out the bible to make them exist during the time of Adam. If we simply go by what the tablets record it will all fall into place.
Zecharia Sitchin had spent 35 years of his life translating the Sumerian texts. After reading several books I can say that if we step back, take the text and not the conjecture, we can see some very interesting ancient history. Mr Sitchin was Jewish and the one thing I see from the books I’ve read is that he wants to fit the timeframe of the Anunnaki into the time frame of the bible by lengthening the time Adam was created to 400,000 years. This leaves us with many time issues. So instead of stretching the bible to fit the Anunnaki we should leave the Anunnaki in 450,000 BC. Now we can understand their advanced society and their interesting civilization. Some people would complain that Mr Sitchen did not do a good job with the translation, but I would like to point out that the most recent parts of our bible are only 2,000 years old and we still can’t get the translations right.
The Anunnaki had the knowledge of space travel and our universe, as they have accurately communicated on tablets regarding our planets and orbits and stars long before anyone else had knowledge of any of that. They had knowledge of minerals and mining. Once they arrived here they needed workers to help mine and in detail they describe how they genetically altered Neanderthals for their specific purpose. Two groups mined the earth, one in Africa/the Middle East, and the other in South America. The Anunnaki lived, married, had families, set up kingdoms, and died. Their life spans were longer than ours and they seemed to reside here until the ice age time period of 11,000 BC. At that time most left but some stayed behind. They built cities and set up communities on earth to support their operations. Of special note is that they were not large beings at all, instead they were small. Their height was around the five to five and a half foot range. Not tall like the Nephilim, and not immortal like the angels. Many Christians have tried to put the Anunnaki in the place of the fallen angels but they were on earth long before the time of Adam. One problem with that idea is if the angels are ministering spirits sent to minister to us, then are the angels the Anunnaki? No. There are too many problems with making all angels the Anunnaki. That would have to mean the angels Michael and Gabriel are Anunnaki. That would also mean that any angelic encounter must be attributed to the Anunnaki, like sending in the hornets, or blinding the people of Sodom. However, we don’t see the Anunnaki having “super powers” like the angelic host. If we are to judge the angels then the Anunnaki must be subject to us and here to serve us. Some believe because of their ability of space travel they must be our UFO’s of today. That is possible, but as I previously noted, I’ve never seen a UFO nor do I know anyone who was abducted by one. We will explore that idea at a later time.
Now we must pose the question, if there are other beings living on other planets are they subject to God the same as we are? I would surmise that our God is their God as well, whether they choose to serve him or not is another matter. Why wouldn’t God create other places and beings? Just because we don’t know about them doesn’t mean they don’t exist, in fact they may well know all about us. Jesus told us that in his Father’s house there are many mansions, and he was going to prepare a place for us. And at the end of the Millennial reign of Christ satan and cohorts end up in the lake of fire and there will be a New Heaven and Earth as the old one will pass away.
The Anunnaki culture and traditions may have influenced our early civilizations but as we can see they were not the Nephilim or the Angels. They lived so many years before the existence of the Nephilim but is it possible that the confusion comes from the idea that there could multiple occurrences of genetic engineering in earths history? We will continue our timeline and try to put all the pieces together.

[The abrupt end of the last Ice Age has been the subject of numerous studies, including an intensive investigation during the 1958 International Geophysical Year. The studies confirmed both the abruptness and timing – about 13,000 years ago – of the Ice Age’s ending in Antarctica, but left unexplained the reason for the phenomenon. Additional recent studies support those conclusions: A study of ancient temperatures (Nature, 26 February 2009) determined that while warming at the end of the last Ice Age was relatively gradual in Greenland (north Atlantic), it was “rapid and abrupt” in Antarctica (south Atlantic) about 13,000 years ago. Another study, of ancient sea levels (published in Science, 6 February 2009), confirming that Antarctica’s ice sheet collapsed abruptly, concluded that due to the topography of the continent and its surrounding sea beds, the tidal wave was at least three times higher the hitherto calculated, reaching it’s maximal impact some 2,000 miles away. A diagram accompanying the article shows the area of maximal tidal impact stretching from the Persian Gulf to the Mediterranean Sea and northeast there from-the very Lands of the Bible, all the way to Mount Ararat.
