From Saul to Solomon, we see great examples of how to walk before Yahweh. We see what not to do and we see what we should do. We should not be surprised that only a few others will share in our passion for the Holy Spirit. Solomon attributes this to evil distractions. What we learned from Saul was that his first mistake was not to seek the face of Yahweh. This is why we see David always seeking the face of Yahweh in matters of the kingdom. David tells Solomon to always seek after Yahweh and Solomon does that. Solomon even teaches us well. Solomon encourages others to write without limit so that others will learn. Solomon realized that many people chose to follow after other sprits and this brings him pain, like as a stroke. If we will take Solomon’s word seriously then we will gain superabundant wisdom and knowledge. Solomon calls himself an “ecclesiastic”, or a “clergy”. He seems to have loved this title above being called a “king”. We can see how deeply Solomon understood the Spirit of Wisdom, and how discouraged he was that others did not choose the same. The name Solomon means “peaceful”, although Nathan the prophet named him Jedidiah, meaning “loved of Yahweh”. Let’s explore.

paroimia par-oy-mee'-ah From a compound of G3844 and perhaps a derivative of G3633; apparently a state alongside of supposition, that is, (concretely) an adage; specifically an enigmatical or fictitious illustration KJV Usage: parable, proverb.
What is a proverb? A proverb is a story or saying that can reveal a hidden meaning or truth. It can be allegorical, metaphorical, or just plain language. We can look at Solomon’s proverbs as a teaching for us. What can we learn?
The first thing that Solomon wants others to know is Wisdom. Wisdom is a “she” feminine form in Hebrew and Greek, which is another name for the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Wisdom. If we look at this section as an instruction in who Wisdom is and her characteristics then we can understand why Solomon knew this was important. Saul lacked Wisdom, even though the Holy Spirit had come upon him. And that is because Saul didn’t pursue the Holy Spirit/Wisdom. Solomon asked for Wisdom. He didn’t want anything else.
1Ki 2:1 And the days of David drew near that he should die: and he addressed his son Solomon, saying, I go the way of all the earth:
1Ki 2:2 but be thou strong, and shew thyself a man;
1Ki 2:3 and keep the charge of the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, to keep the commandments and the ordinances and the judgments which are written in the law of Moses; that thou mayest understand what thou shalt do in all things that I command thee:
1Ki 2:4 that the Lord may confirm his word which he spoke, saying, If thy children shall take heed to their way to walk before me in truth with all their heart, I promise thee, saying, there shall not fail thee a man on the throne of Israel.
What a great promise. We now see why Solomon becomes so discouraged later in life. The children did not take heed to walk before Yahweh.
1Ki 3:1 Nevertheless the people burnt incense on the high places, because a house had not yet been built to the Lord.
1Ki 3:3 And Solomon loved the Lord, so as to walk in the ordinances of David his father; only he sacrificed and burnt incense on the high places.
1Ki 3:4 And he arose and went to Gabaon to sacrifice there, for that was the highest place, and great: Solomon offered a whole-burnt-offering of a thousand victims on the altar in Gabaon.
Solomon and David sacrificed to Yahweh at Gibeon because that is where the tabernacle of Moses was.
1Ki 3:5 And the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream by night, and the Lord said to Solomon, Ask some petition for thyself.
1Ki 3:6 And Solomon said, Thou hast dealt very mercifully with thy servant David my father according as he walked before thee in truth, and in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with thee, and thou hast kept for him this great mercy, to set his son upon his throne, as it is this day.
1Ki 3:7 And now, O Lord my God, thou hast appointed thy servant in the room of David my father; and I am a little child, and know not my going out an my coming in.
1Ki 3:8 But thy servant is in the midst of thy people, whom thou hast chosen, a great people, which cannot be numbered.
1Ki 3:9 Thou shalt give therefore to thy servant a heart to hear and to judge thy people justly, and to discern between good and evil: for who will be able to judge this thy great people?
1Ki 3:10 And it was pleasing before the Lord, that Solomon asked this thing.
1Ki 3:11 And the Lord said to him, Because thou hast asked this thing of me, and hast not asked for thyself long life, and hast not asked wealth, nor hast asked the lives of thine enemies, but hast asked for thyself understanding to hear judgment;
1Ki 3:12 behold, I have done according to thy word: behold, I have given thee an understanding and wise heart: there has not been any one like thee before thee, and after thee there shall not arise one like thee.
1Ki 3:13 And I have given thee what thou hast not asked, wealth and glory, so that there has not been any one like thee among kings.
1Ki 3:14 And if thou wilt walk in my way, to keep my commandments and my ordinances, as David thy father walked, then will I multiply thy days.
1Ki 3:15 And Solomon awoke, and, behold, it was a dream: and he arose and came to Jerusalem, and stood before the altar that was in front of the ark of the covenant of the Lord in Sion: and he offered whole-burnt-offerings, and sacrificed peace-offerings, and made a great banquet for himself and all his servants.
Chronicles records this as follows:
2Ch 1:7 In that night God appeared to Solomon, and said to him, Ask what I shall give thee…
2Ch 1:10 Now give me wisdom and understanding, that I may go out and come in before this people: for who shall judge this thy great people?
Solomons dream/vision was important because what Solomon wanted was wisdom and knowledge. This is exactly what Solomon writes about in Proverbs, Wisdom, Song of Songs, and Ecclesiastes. Solomon is now passing on wisdom and instruction to his sons, and hoping many others will listen. He says things in a complex way and if we are simply reading we may miss the importance of what he says.
Proverbs 1:2 G1097 to know G4678 wisdom G2532 and G3809 instruction; G3539 to comprehend G5037 also G3056 words G5428 of intelligence;
3 G1209 to receive G5037 also G4765.3 the shifting and turning G3056 of words, G2532 and G3080 loosening G135 enigmas; G3539 to comprehend G5037 also G1343 [2righteousness G227 1true] G2532 and G2917 [2judgment G2720 1to straighten out],
We are to come to know wisdom and instruction. We are to comprehend or exercise the mind in observance in logos of mental action. We are to receive or welcome a u-turn or revolving of logos. Divorce riddles and dark sayings. Exercise the mind to understand true justice and make straight judgments.
To come to know wisdom and instruction means that we have to apply ourselves to learning. We have to work at this. We cannot turn the Holy Spirit on and off, we need to always be plugged in so that we can work at observing the logos and acting on the logos. This was one of Saul’s problems. We also have to be wiling to make a u-turn or turn around because of the logos. We are to divorce ourselves from riddles or dark sayings, meaning strange and mysterious ritualistic satanic worship. Sometimes people embrace a lot of made up demonically inspired occultic services. We are not supposed to explore those rituals, we are supposed to divorce ourselves from them. We cannot learn anything from them, and we will not change anything regarding them. The dark sayings and riddles are a time waster. Exercising the mind to understand justice and making straight judgments is done without fear, impatience, and agitation. We have to learn not to react emotionally.
Solomon has some very good points here. He learned them from his father who practiced them, and although David was not always perfect, he is still our best example for leadership. If we aspire to lead we also have to aspire to a very close relationship with Yahweh. We have to know the Spirit of Wisdom and learn from her. We also have to teach the next generation as David taught Solomon.
Proverbs 1:4 G2443 that G1325 he should give G172 to the guileless G3834 astuteness, G3816 [3child G1161 1but G3501 2 to the young] G144 perception, G5037 and also G2532 G1771 reflection.
This is a continuation from verse three. We exercise the mind to understand true justice and to make straight judgments; in order to give the innocent panourgia “craftiness, cunning, or prudence”; the youthful boys and girls aisthēsis “perception or discernment”, and ennoia “moral understanding or consideration”.
If we learn verses two and three then we can teach verse four to the young people. The idea of giving the innocent lessons in craftiness, cunning, and prudence is really a necessity of life. Otherwise the innocent will learn through hardship. If the innocent see a deceptive plan, or a conspiring person a mile away, then they can be prudent. If we teach perception and discernment then they will know where evil attempts to overtake them. If we teach moral understanding then the young people will not fall for every popular fallacy of the day.
Proverbs 1:5 G3588 But of the ones G1161 G1063 for G191 hearing, G4680 the wise G4680 will be wiser, G1510.8.3 G3588 and the G1161 G3540.1 intelligent G2941 [2guidance G2932 1shall acquire].
6 G3539 He shall comprehend G5037 also G3850 a parable G2532 and G4652 a dark G3056 matter; G4488.1 sayings G5037 also G4680 of the wise, G2532 and G135 enigmas.
If we teach the younger generations, then the ones who are learning and listening and comprehending are wise and will be wiser or skilled and clever. The intelligent will obtain directorship or government, not guidance. The intelligent obtain a leadership position. From who? The Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Wisdom, will lead the intelligent.
Proverbs 1:7 G746 The beginning G4678 of wisdom G5401 is fear G2962 of the lord, G4907 [3understanding G1161 1and G18 2good] G3956 to all G3588 the G4160 ones observing G1473 it….
“Commence Wisdom reverence Yahweh, but good intelligence all the manufacturing her.”
To start with Wisdom everyone must fear or reverence Yahweh. We cannot have the Holy Spirit without Yahweh. People who have good intelligence manufacture Wisdom, or they make more Wisdom in their lives. But only those with good intelligence.
...G2150 And piety G1161 G1519 to G2316 God G746 is the beginning G144 of perception…
“But religiously reverent into Elohim commence perception.”
Those people who are religiously reverent or respect the Elohim will commence or start in perception or discernment. Solomon now adds the Elohim which encompasses the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We must be religiously reverent. This does not say that we must be religious, but faithfully reverent, godly, or holy. We are not supposed to be faithful to a denomination or a religious order to have Wisdom. We are to gain Wisdom by good intelligence, reverence to Yahweh, and religious reverence to the Elohim.
...G4678 But wisdom G1161 G2532 and G3809 instruction G765 the impious G1848 shall treat with contempt.
“But Wisdom and instruction ungodly despise.”
Why do the ungodly despise Wisdom and instruction? Because they are uncovered and exposed when others have Wisdom and instruction. Their strategy of occult practices and human sacrifices are exposed. Their monetary schemes are exposed. Their destruction of societies are exposed. Their war tactics are exposed.
This is why the ungodly will do everything they can to keep people from learning about the Holy Spirit, understanding the Holy Spirit, and will cover over the power of the Holy Spirit. We can have insight into every situation. We can be skillful with our enemies. We can hear from the Holy Spirit anytime and be led into the right way to avoid traps and pitfalls.
As Solomon goes through life he wants to teach people about the Spirit of Wisdom. In The Wisdom of Solomon, Solomon gives us many details about the Holy Spirit and his relationship with the Holy Spirt, the Spirit of Wisdom.
Wis 6:11 Wherefore set your affection upon my words; desire them, and ye shall be instructed.
Wis 6:12 Wisdom is glorious, and never fadeth away: yea, she is easily seen of them that love her, and found of such as seek her.
Wis 6:13 She preventeth them that desire her, in making herself first known unto them.
Wis 6:14 Whoso seeketh her early shall have no great travail: for he shall find her sitting at his doors.
From the way that Solomon writes we would all be crazy not to want a relationship with the Spirit of Wisdom. Seeking her is the key.
Wis 6:15 To think therefore upon her is perfection of wisdom: and whoso watcheth for her shall quickly be without care.
Wis 6:16 For she goeth about seeking such as are worthy of her, sheweth herself favourably unto them in the ways, and meeteth them in every thought.
Wisdom meets us in every thought. If we are holy and morally upright then we will find Wisdom and she will meet us in every thought. This tells us that we have to slow down our thinking. We want to lead every thought captive. We want to listen.
Wis 6:17 For the very true beginning of her is the desire of discipline; and the care of discipline is love;
Wis 6:18 And love is the keeping of her laws; and the giving heed unto her laws is the assurance of incorruption;
Wis 6:19 And incorruption maketh us near unto God:
Incorruption makes us near to God, but to get to that point we have to be disciplined. We have to love Wisdom and keep her laws. Solomon tells us what he did to get to this place. He prayed.
Wis 7:7 Wherefore I prayed, and understanding was given me: I called upon God, and the spirit of wisdom came to me.
Wis 7:8 I preferred her before sceptres and thrones, and esteemed riches nothing in comparison of her.
Wis 7:9 Neither compared I unto her any precious stone, because all gold in respect of her is as a little sand, and silver shall be counted as clay before her.
Solomon did’t want to be king, he wanted the Spirit of Wisdom. He didn’t want riches, and he compares riches to dirt compared to the Spirit of Wisdom.
Wis 7:10 I loved her above health and beauty, and chose to have her instead of light: for the light that cometh from her never goeth out.
Wis 7:11 All good things together came to me with her, and innumerable riches in her hands.
Wis 7:12 And I rejoiced in them all, because wisdom goeth before them: and I knew not that she was the mother of them.
Solomon says that she is light and she brings riches.
Wis 7:13 I learned diligently, and do communicate her liberally: I do not hide her riches.
Wis 7:14 For she is a treasure unto men that never faileth: which they that use become the friends of God, being commended for the gifts that come from learning.
Solomon communicates with her liberally. This is called the fellowship of the Holy Spirit. Paul prayed this for the Corinthians.
2 Corinthians 13:14 G3588 The G5484 favor G3588 of the G2962 Lord G* Jesus G5547 Christ, G2532 and G3588 the G26 love G3588 G2316 of God, G2532 and G3588 the G2842 fellowship G3588 of the G39 holy G4151 spirit G3326 be with G3956 you all. G1473 G281 Amen.

koinōnia koy-nohn-ee'-ah From G2844; partnership, that is, (literally) participation, or (social) intercourse, or (pecuniary) benefaction KJV Usage: (to) communicate (-ation), communion, (contri-), distribution, fellowship.
The Holy Spirit is our partner. Paul prays that this koinōnos, “partner”, be with us all. This is not just a Solomon thing, a David thing, or a king thing, this partnership is an us thing for today. Solomon goes on.
Wis 7:22 For wisdom, which is the worker of all things, taught me: for in her is an understanding spirit holy, one only, manifold, subtil, lively, clear, undefiled, plain, not subject to hurt, loving the thing that is good quick, which cannot be letted, ready to do good,
Wis 7:23 Kind to man, steadfast, sure, free from care, having all power, overseeing all things, and going through all understanding, pure, and most subtil, spirits.
We can have this partnership with the Holy Spirit if we want it. Wisdom is the worker of all things that Solomon was taught. She is a holy Spirit, one, but having many different forms or elements. She is subtil, which means she is like a thin vapor or thin air. She is a most subtil Spirit, fine and delicate. What would be a comparison to a Subtil Spirit? How about Satanas? Satanas is also a spirit, but an incorporeal, air, aether, fire, and/or light, but his presence is bold in comparison. He himself is bold, pushy, and intentionally defiled, while the subtil Spirit of Wisdom is lively, clear, and undefiled. Solomon describes her well.
Wis 7:24 For wisdom is more moving than any motion: she passeth and goeth through all things by reason of her pureness.
Wis 7:25 For she is the breath of the power of God, and a pure influence flowing from the glory of the Almighty: therefore can no defiled thing fall into her.
Wis 7:26 For she is the brightness of the everlasting light, the unspotted mirror of the power of God, and the image of his goodness.
Wisdom is so pure she can go through all things, like a breeze. She is the breath of the Elohim who mirrors the power of the Elohim. She enters into holy souls making them friends of the Elohim.
Wis 7:27 And being but one, she can do all things: and remaining in herself, she maketh all things new: and in all ages entering into holy souls, she maketh them friends of God, and prophets.
Wis 7:28 For God loveth none but him that dwelleth with wisdom.
Wis 7:29 For she is more beautiful than the sun, and above all the order of stars: being compared with the light, she is found before it.
Wis 7:30 For after this cometh night: but vice shall not prevail against wisdom.
Wisdom is more beautiful than we can imagine, nothing can prevail against Wisdom. However we can turn away from her and corrupt ourselves for our own interests. When we get to the end of Solomons life he has come to a place of sadness because he has done exactly that. But there is something profound that we can learn from Solomon.
Ecclesiastes 1:12 G1473 I G1577.2 an ecclesiastic G1096 became G935 king G1909 over G* Israel G1722 in G* Jerusalem.
An ecclesiastic translates as a “church goer, clergy, or preacher”. He is someone who pursued religion, not politics.
Ecclesiastes 1:13 G2532 And G1325 I gave G3588 G2588 my heart G1473 G3588 G1567 to inquire G2532 and G3588 G2679.2 to survey G1722 by G3588 G4678 wisdom G4012 concerning G3956 all things G3588 G1096 happening G5259 under G3588 the G3772 heaven. G3754 For G4048.4 [4distraction G4190 3a wicked G1325 2gave G3588 G2316 1God] G3588 to the G5207 sons G3588 G444 of men G3588 G4049 to be distracting G1722 G1473 to him.
The idea of wicked distractions here is to be over occupied or too busy. Solomon recognizes something profound. The average person is over occupied with life. Work, food, clothes, family, education, retirement, and health, are all things that we become over occupied with. Solomon had the luxury of a great education, he went about trying to teach others, but others did not make the time to come to know Elohim and the partnership of the Holy Spirit. There are wicked distractions too. Lusts for riches, lusts of gluttony, lusts of sexual perversions, all distract from the Elohim and the Holy Spirit as well. Solomon was an ecclesiastic. He wanted to teach the kingdom about the Holy Spirit so that others would rise up and become an ecclesiastic.
Ecclesiastes 1:14 G1492 I beheld G4840.2 all G3588 the G4161 actions, G3588 the ones G4160 being done G5259 under G3588 the G2246 sun; G2532 and G2400 behold, G3956 all G3153 was folly G2532 and G4254.1 a resolve G4151 of spirit.
Here is what Solomon saw: folly, vanity, purposelessness, emptiness, unreality, ineffectiveness, instability, frailty, false religion, and moral depravity. The word translated here resolve, is “preferences” or “options” of spirit, meaning that instead of people choosing the Holy Spirit, they are choosing other spirits. The problem that this ecclesiastic was facing was the people turning away from the Holy Spirit and being distracted with other things, then choosing other spirits.
How many pastors have felt this way? No matter how hard they try to raise people up, whether just one at a time, or an entire adult Sunday School class, people are too busy with other things. This is heartbreaking to Solomon.
Ecclesiastes 1:15 G1294 The thing being perverted G3756 is not G1410 able G3588 G1945.5 to be embellished. G2532 And G5303 deficiency G3756 is not G1410 able G705 to be counted.
“Perverted not capable the decorated and poverty not capable enumerate.”
Let’s look at this spiritually. Whatever spirit is perverted cannot be decorated to make it look better like the Holy Spirit. Whatever poverty perverted spirits bring, it is not countable. The understanding comes from the previous verse regarding wicked distractions and opting for other spirits to serve. Solomon says that if it is a perverted spirit, then it can’t be dressed up and its lack can’t be counted. In the practical sense, we cannot make an idol, decorate it, and then count all the ways that it blesses us, because zero is zero. A dumb idol cannot do anything, so why serve it? Likewise, why serve the disembodied spirits of the Nephilim who have no power or ability other than lies and deceit? No matter how they try to dress themselves up they are still evil spirits without power.
Ecclesiastes 1:16 G2980 I spoke G1473 G1722 in G2588 my heart G1473 G3588 G3004 to say, G2400 Behold, G1473 I G3170 was magnified, G2532 and G4369 was added G4678 wisdom G1909 over G3956 all G3739 who G1096 came G1715 before G1473 me G1722 in G* Jerusalem. G2532 And G1325 I give G2588 my heart G1473 G3588 G1097 to know G4678 wisdom G2532 and G1108 knowledge.
17 G2532 And G2588 my heart G1473 G1492 beheld G4183 much G4678 wisdom G2532 and G1108 knowledge, G3850 parables, G2532 and G1989.1 higher knowledge. G1097 [3knew G1473 2I G3754 1For] G2532 even G1065 indeed G3778 this G1510.2.3 is G4254.1 resolve G4151 of spirit.
Solomon says that he did pursue wisdom and knowledge, and he gained it over all the other people in Jerusalem. Solomon knew Wisdom, knowledge, parables, and science. This is Solomons preference or option of Spirit. He spent his lifetime preferring the Holy Spirit.
Ecclesiastes 1:18 G3754 For G1722 in G4128 abundance G4678 of wisdom G4128 is abundance G1108 of knowledge; G2532 and G3588 the one G4369 adding G1108 knowledge G4369 shall add G217.3 pain.
And here is Solomons’ wound. The one adding wisdom and knowledge also adds pain or stroke. Why? We could ask, where are all the others? Where are the scholars pursuing the Spirit of Wisdom? Where are his children? Are they pursuing Wisdom? How about his wives? Anyone out there reading Solomon’s proverbs and seeking Wisdom? Heartbreaking.
When we speak of Biblical things then we come to an understanding with a lot of excitement. We tell everyone how awesome this new knowledge is. We talk to anyone who will listen. Then we start to see reality. People are not as dedicated to wisdom and knowledge. Some even oppose our new insight preferring the old way of thinking. Then we see that even our church leaders have no time for new knowledge, they are too busy. A righteous frustration arises in us because we see ahead to where we should be as one Body of Christ, but recognize that we are still playing in the sand box. After a while we throw up our hands and give up, leaving people where they are spiritually. It is painful. But we pass through pain and eventually come to realize that there are some people moving ahead in wisdom and knowledge. Solomon wrote this for us, as much as for anyone. We don’t even have to sacrifice a cow anymore because Jesus is our eternal sacrifice, once for all. We see that there is hope for the Body of Christ. Hope comes after our despair.
The fables that we read about Solomon are Satanas’ way of discouraging us from reading what he wrote. Solomon did marry many wives, because he needed peace in the region. There is no proof that Solomon had a sexually transmitted disease. We do not know if Solomon used demonic powers to build the temple, which would be oddly unclean. Why would the Holy Spirit dwell in a temple built by demons? Solomon did build his wives altars because they would not give up their native religions. The kingdom itself was not all a bed of roses either as people were enslaved to build the temple and the palace. Solomon was discouraged and depressed. People weren’t following him, as in doing what he did. They were following him with the intent that it was good enough to sit on the sidelines and listen to what he said. Solomon was trying to raise people up and they just didn’t want the partnership of the Spirit of Wisdom. Solomon put his whole heart into the pursuit of the Spirit of Wisdom.
Ecclesiastes 8:16 G1722 Whereupon G3739 G1325 I gave G3588 G2588 my heart G1473 G3588 G1097 to know G3588 G4678 wisdom, G2532 and G3588 G1492 to behold G3588 the G4048.4 distraction G3588 G4160 being done G1909 upon G3588 the G1093 earth. G3754 For G2532 also G1722 at G2250 day G2532 and G1722 at G3571 night G5258 [3sleep G1722 4with G3788 5his eyes G1473 G3756 1 a person is not G1510.2.3 G991 2seeing].
17 G2532 And G1492 I beheld G4840.2 all G3588 the G4161 actions G3588 G2316 of God, G3754 that G3756 [2shall not G1410 3be able G444 1man] G3588 G2147 to find G4862 out G3588 the G4161 action G3588 G4160 being done G5259 under G3588 the G2246 sun. G3745 As long G302 as G3449.1 [2should make an effort G3588 G444 1man] G3588 G2212 to seek, G2532 even G3756 he shall not find it . G2147 G2532 And G1065 indeed, G3745 as long G302 as G2036 [2should speak G3588 G4680 1 the wise] G3588 G1097 to know it, G3756 he shall not G1410 be able G3588 G2147 to find it . G3754 For G4840.2 all G3778 this G1325 I gave G1519 to G2588 my heart, G1473 G2532 and G2588 my heart G1473 G4840.2 [2all G1492 1beheld] G3778 this.
Solomon is saying that men won’t be able to learn about the Elohim and all His ways. Even if men seek the Elohim they will not discover the workmanship manufactured from under the sun, no matter how hard a man tries to find out. Men need the Holy Spirit in partnership. This is what Solomon gave his heart to. Solomon was looking beyond what others could see.
Ecclesiastes 12:9 G2532 And G4053 it was extra G3754 that G1096 [2became G1577.2 1 the ecclesiastic] G4680 wise, G2532 and G1321 he taught G1108 knowledge G4862 with G3588 G444 man, G2532 and G3779 which G1840.1 he shall trace G2887 composed G3850 parables.
Solomon says it was superabundant or excessive that he, the ecclesiastic, became wise and taught knowledge to manfaced and figured out orderly parables and proverbs.
Ecclesiastes 12:10 G4183 [3much G2212 2sought G1577.2 1 The ecclesiastic] G3588 G2147 to find G3056 [2of words G2307 1a wanting], G2532 and G1125 writing G2118 of uprightness G3056 of words G225 of truth.
He did not do this to immortalize himself, he did this to help others. He wrote these wise words for us to learn from.
Ecclesiastes 12:11 G3056 The words G4680 of the wise G5613 are as G3588 the G1009.2 oxgoads, G2532 and G5613 as G2247 nails G5452 firmly planted; G3739 ones which G3844 by G3588 G4916.2 agreement G1325 were given G1537 from G4166 [2shepherd G1520 1one].
12 G2532 And G4053 [3extra G1537 4by G1473 5them G5207 1O my son G1473 G5442 2guard]! G3588 G4160 To make G975 [2scrolls G4183 1many] G3756 there is no G1510.2.3 G4009.1 limit; G2532 and G3191.1 [2meditation G4183 1much] G2875.1 is weariness G4561 of flesh.
Solomon tells his sons to write many scrolls, without limit. Solomon says that much study fatigues the flesh. I don’t remember any of Solomons sons teaching others. I don’t remember any books or scrolls from Solomons sons.
Ecclesiastes 12:13 G5056 The end G3056 of the whole matter, G3588 G3956 G191 hear! G3588 G2316 Fear God, G5399 G2532 and G3588 G1785 [2his commandments G1473 G5442 1keep]! G3754 for G3778 this G3956 is all G444 man!
14 G3754 For G4840.2 every G3588 G4161 action G3588 G2316 God G71 shall lead G1722 into G2920 judgment, G1722 with G3956 all G3948.1 being looked over, G1437 if G18 good G2532 and G1437 if G4190 evil.
The end of the whole matter is to fear the Elohim, keep his commands, because everyone will be judged by the Elohim. Solomon was a teacher for students who wish to pursue and seek out the Spirit of Wisdom. Imagine his heartbreak when he realized that instead of others being on fire for the Holy Spirit in their lives, they were simply distracted, and choosing other spirits to worship. Now if we know the end of the matter, we certainly know how we should live. What would the world look like if the Body of Christ would seek Wisdom and knowledge, and then teach the younger generations the same?
