We have been studying the integration of foreign DNA into humanity. We have seen that two groups, giants and watchers, both sinned. Jesus gives us many answers as to the now disembodied spirits of the Nephilim. We saw that the adam was not born on the earth, but was formed and shaped in the image and likeness of the Elohim, as opposed to the earthborn heirs of the Nephilim who were born on the earth. We have also studied that the Nephilim were on the earth before the flood and after the flood. We also noted that after the Battle of the Five Armies the remnant of the heirs of the Nephilim moved to Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboim. We have seen their system of corrupt justice and inhospitality, as well as their culture of community orgies and community rape. While our DNA plays a part in sickness and disease, we have to also recognize that the disembodied spirits of the heirs of the Nephilim are on the earth. There are people that seem to be “possessed” or driven into doing certain evil things. Some people become partners with these unclean spirits. This is more than worshipping them or sacrificing to them, it is a relationship. However Jesus came to show us that we can be freed from evil spirits.
We know that the Elohim created humans as well as all the other beings that we see in the Bible. A few questions we should ask are: Did the Elohim create evil? Did the Elohim create evil beings? Did the Elohim create demons? No, No, and No. The Elohim created beings with the option to choose what they would do and how they would live. Evil arose after beings chose to live the way they wanted, rejecting the Elohim. Demons are the disembodied spirits of the heirs of the fallen beings. When those children of the union of giants and watchers with humans died, their spirits had no where to go. They were not created by the Elohim, they were created by the fallen watchers, giants, and human women. We also must understand that the satan, Satanas was not created evil, he became evil when he became prideful. There is only one being that was created to antagonize the other spiritual beings, and he is a one of a kind being, Dracon/Draco, the Dragon. His purpose was to prove the other beings, test them, sport with them, but he was not created evil.
Yet because of freedom of choice, all created beings can choose evil or can choose the Elohim. Several beings defected, intending to “create” their own world system, and what they created through the mixing of humanity, were evil spirits.
As Matthew is recording what Jesus is saying and doing, we can see that he may be leaving out a few sentences. However, if we read in context then we understand all the things that Jesus is saying even if we do not see, “word for word”, Jesus’ dialogue. Jesus is casting out demons and explaining a few very important points to us.

Notice what happened as soon as Jesus finished his 40 day fast. He gathers his disciples and starts teaching the good news all over Galilee. As we just read in the verse above, people had been tormented with no relief. Noah had written down the remedies for diseases because they knew that humans would suffer due to the torment of these disembodied spirits. Why? Because they don’t belong in our body. Add to that mixed DNA and we have physical ailments.
The word diamonizomai is a verb and means to be under the power of a demon. A demon can possess a body causing physical sickness, or mental sickness, or emotional sickness. But, Jesus healed people. The word for “cure” is therapeuō, where we get our modern day word for therapy or therapeutics. It is also the root for the group of people associated with the Essenes, Nazarenes, the Damascus Community, and the prophets. They are the Therapeutaes. The Therapeutaes were the charismatic branch of believers in their day as they were strong in healings, miracles, and lively worship. This is the community in Egypt that Joseph and Mary took Jesus to when he was young, in order to escape Herod’s order to kill the babies.

Jesus is preaching in the Galilee region and then the people of Syria hear about it and bring all their sick and tormented people to Jesus. Who lived in Syria? The Damascus Community. The people of the same order as the Nazarenes, the Essenes, the Therapeutaes, and the school of the prophets. Jesus healed them. Jesus healed diseases, infirmities, illnesses, torments, demon possession, lunacy and paralysis. Sicknesses and diseases are due in part to genetic malfunctions, and demonic possession.

This is not the first time the Pharisees said this. They were already building a narrative for the people so they could explain away Jesus’ ability to cast out demons. The first thing they say is that Jesus is not casting out demons. Then they claim a ruling fallen Spirit, Beelzebul, is giving Jesus power. The Pharisees would rather see people sick and tormented than to have Jesus heal them. Isn’t there something wrong with that thinking?

The Pharisees seem to think that the rulers of Satanas’ kingdom will do good for people, healing them by casting out their own lower ranking evil spirits. Since when does Satanas want to help human beings? We hear this nonsense from people who do not believe in the gifts and power of the Holy Spirit. They seem to mistakenly believe that Satanas wants to be nice to humans and heal them. What is even more ridiculous, Satanas must not mind when people who are healed praise Yahweh Elohim. This is lunacy.

Jesus uses the proper name Satanas rather than “the satan” which is general for an adversary. Now in order to throw something out, there must be something “in”. What is “in” that can be removed? Whatever can be removed breaks down his kingdom so that there is nothing left. In the context we are speaking of demons. If we can cast demons out, then they must be in. There are many groups that do not understand this simple concept. Yes demons can be “in”. If Satanas throws out Satanas dividing himself then how will his kingdom stand? Why does Jesus bring up Satanas? The Pharisees didn’t bring up Satanas. In fact the Pharisees bring up Beelzebul. Jesus knows that they are mistaken. Satanas is in charge of demons, not Beelzebul. Beelzebul was in charge of Hades until Jesus took back the keys.

What the Pharisees are claiming is that Jesus uses the power of the ruler of Hades to cast out demons. Jesus then asks in what way do their sons throw out demons. Obviously there were some people who had sons who cast out demons, and we will find out more about them later.
Jesus then states something that reads a little differently than what translators thought. The word egō is a primary pronoun, G1473. It can be read “he” instead of “they”. Also, the word for judge is singular. It does not make sense to say “they will be your judges”. Who is they then, the demons or the sons? And if the sons are evil why are they judging? Demons don’t judge humans. It probably should read “Through this he will be your judge”. “He” who? Beelzebul. Beelzebul will be their judge. Because they are accusing Jesus of throwing out demons with Beelzebul’s power, however Beelzebul is not the ruler of the demons. At that time Beelzebul stood at the gates of Hades. Satanas is the ruler of the demons. Jesus told the Pharisees that because of their lie, they would be judged by Beelzebul. Because of their mistake, they will not understand spiritual matters.

If Jesus is throwing out demons by the Spirit of God, the Holy Spirit, then the kingdom of God is on them. What does Jesus mean? In order to enter the kingdom of God we must have the Holy Spirit residing within us. Jesus has told us over many parables what the kingdom of God is like, and who either enters or does not enter. The ones who stand outside knocking and saying that they cast out demons in Jesus’ name still do not enter because they invoked the name without the power. These same people claim that they healed the sick, invoked Jesus’ name as well as prophesied, but if they do not have the Holy Spirit then they do not enter the kingdom.

In this sentence the word “man” is implied but is not in the text. This would make demons seem as if they are men residing within men. They are not strong men they are demons. Demons are not manfaced, they are the disembodied spirits of the Nephilim. Jesus is simply saying that you can’t rob the strong until you bind the strong. This is our key. Bind the demons (not the strong man).

Jesus says that if people are not accompanying him then they are against him and if people aren’t gathering together with him then they are scattering. In the context what is he talking about? Jesus is talking about casting out demons. He corrects the Pharisees by speaking of Satanas, who is actually in charge of the demons, and mentioning that Beelzebul will be their judge because they are accusing Jesus of something that is untrue. He then explains that the first step in casting out a demon is to bind it, just as if it were strong. If people are not with Jesus in this, then they are against him. If people do not gather with Jesus then they are scattering.
To understand this further, there were Jews who would cast out demons. But they apparently were not doing it properly as we see from the story of the seven sons of Sceva. Sceva was a chief of priests. It might be that he was there with the Pharisees at this time. But whether he was or not his sons were casting out demons and had quite an experience. By the time this was recorded in Acts, these traveling Jews were using Jesus’ name.
Act 19:13 Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth.
Act 19:14 And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the priests, which did so.
Act 19:15 And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?
Act 19:16 And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.
This must have been quite a show. The evil spirit knew who Jesus was. The evil sprit knew who Paul was. The evil spirit didn’t know who they were. We don’t know what happened with their clothes and why all seven ended up naked, but that evil spirit overpowered them. These seven sons of the chief of priests probably did not believe on Jesus. In the world of dominion, generally speaking, manfaced has dominion over most demons. This one may have been a higher ranking demon who obviously dominated these seven men. It is obvious that these men did not believe on Jesus themselves. This was their problem. They tried to use their own power, which by this time was feeble because they did not believe on the Jesus as their own Lord. They did not have the Holy Spirit residing within them. They simply did not have any authority in the spirit realm. Essentially what happened is that these men were not “with” Jesus, so they ended up scattering instead of gathering. Most people after seeing the seven naked men, beaten, and running away, would have decided not to partake in any exorcisms.

Now we have better perspective. The Holy Spirit is the one who resides in us and it is the power of the Holy Spirit that casts out demons. But if someone speaks vilification or profanely of the Holy Spirit then that is an unforgivable sin. In other words, the Pharisees claimed that Jesus was casting out demons by Beelzebul, not by the Spirit of God. That is unforgivable. We hear the same nonsense today. Someone who doesn’t believe in the power of the Holy Spirit will claim that people are casting out demons with demons. That is blasphemy, it is unforgivable. The key to casting out demons is the Holy Spirit.

People can speak abusively about Jesus and be forgiven, but people can’t speak abusively about the Holy Spirit. That slander is not forgiven in this age or in the age soon to come. That is a long time to be unforgiven. Being unforgiven means a loss of something in the kingdom of heaven.

It seems like Jesus just jumped subjects. The unforgiven ones are like rotten trees, and their fruit is rotten. Jesus is trying to give an example of good fruit or bad fruit. If Jesus is casting out demons and people are being healed, then he is producing good fruit for the kingdom of God. If the traveling Jews cast out demons but are beaten up by the demon, then their tree is rotten and they are producing rotten fruit. People are not being led to the kingdom of God with rotten fruit.

Jesus calls the Pharisees sons of the serpent. Remember, there are two seeds warring with one another. How does he know that they are children of Satanas? Because they do not like people being healed and set free. Most everyone can see that this attitude is wicked. So instead of encouraging people to get healed by Jesus they are trying to discourage people from getting healed by Jesus.

Once again this is easy to see. Have you ever known someone who doesn’t believe in Jesus as Lord or who doesn’t believe in the power of the Holy spirit, and who tells someone else that they did not really get healed or set free, but that it was all in their head? Of course, people do it all the time. They are children of Satanas. Jesus is offering something better than healing, he is offering eternal life in the kingdom of God. The children of Satanas cannot offer anything.

All those people who disregard Jesus or the Holy Spirit will have a day of judgment. All those people who speak in opposition of Jesus or the Holy Spirit will have a day of judgment, and thus for those who believe that they are saved but still disparage the Holy Spirit will be unforgiven in this age and in the next one.
Matthew 12:37 G1537 For by G1063 G3588 G3056 your words G1473 G1344 you shall be justified, G2532 and G1537 by G3588 G3056 your words G1473 G2613 you shall be condemned.
This should put a bit of fear into everyone. What we say is recorded and we will be either justified or condemned by what we have said.

The scribes have entered the conversation. Both the scribes and Pharisees ask Jesus for a sign. In other words, do a magic trick and we will then decide if you are real or not. They disregarded all the healings and wanted a sign.

Jesus tells them that they are wicked. They didn’t believe that he was healing people and they didn’t believe the people who were healed. Then Jesus says that they can have a sign, the sign of Jonah.

Jesus tells them that just as Jonah was in the whale for three days and three nights, the son of manfaced will be in the heart of the earth three days and three nights. Jesus points out something else. He points out how the Ninevite people repented.

The people of Ninevah will condemn the people of Jesus’ generation. They can see the paralytics un-paralyzed. They can see the sick healed. They can see the demon possessed set free. They can see it all, but they refused to believe. Next, Jesus mentions the Queen of Sheba who is over Ethiopia and Egypt.

The Queen heard about Solomon’s wisdom and she traveled to meet him. Yet Jesus is greater than Solomon. Jesus will now explain what happens when an unclean spirit comes out of manfaced.

The demon passes through waterless or dry places. It goes through the desert searching for rest. When we talk about dry places we are referring to humans being made up of about 60% water. Some body parts are more hydrated than others, but when a demon comes out it is like walking through a desert. The demon is looking for rest, dry places are tiring. This tells us that demons or unclean spirits are aware of their state. If they are tired and in need of rest then they can also be awake and energized.
Matthew 12:44 G5119 Then G3004 it says, G1994 I will return G1519 unto G3588 G3624 my house G1473 G3606 from where G1831 I came forth. G2532 And G2064 having come G2147 it finds G4980 relaxing, G4563 being swept, G2532 and G2885 being adorned.
The unclean spirit speaks to itself. It thinks. It decides to turn around and go back to its house. Our physical body is their dwelling. This is the idea of “in” so that we cast them “out”. When the demon comes back it ceases from its labor. It rests because it sees the house is swept and put in order.

After resting, the unclean spirit travels and takes seven different grievous spirits home. The word “another” here is heteros meaning another of a different kind. Is “another different”(heteros) demon an heir from a different race such as watchers compared to giants? Notice this, the first demon was not as wicked as the other seven. The man then becomes worse than he was before the first demon was cast out. The generation was going to suffer the same way. Because of their rejection of Jesus, they would end up with more demons then they had before. This is still true today.

About this time Jesus’ family shows up as they would like to speak with him. Is it a coincidence that Jesus’ family interrupts him while he is speaking about evil spirits? No, evil spirits communicate with one another. They travel, they gather socially. This is not uncommon for us either. As soon as we sit down to pray, interruptions occur. It is important to keep this in mind as we who have the Holy Spirit have authority over demons.
As we see from Genesis, people started worshipping false gods or idols. The Japanese Shinto belief is that everything has a spirit. They believe that if something is handmade it has a soul of its own. This idea has its origins in the Book of Genesis sometime after the flood. People made idols and then worshipped them; just as Terah, Abraham’s father, did. Moses had led people out of Egypt but they were still worshipping idols. But notice what Moses says.

They were not only worshipping idols, they were sacrificing to demons, not to The Elohim, but to elohim. Paul mentions this as well.

Do not become partners of the demons. The idea of being a partner in this usage is to be an associate, a companion, or someone who shares with demons. Paul says that you can’t eat and drink with Yahweh and then eat and drink with demons too, meaning we cannot be in association with both Yahweh and demons. Why would someone want to be associated with demons? Why would someone want demons in their life, living in their body? Demons promise people power, money, and position. Some who make a deal with demons achieve those goals, but they also pay a price.
These people learn ways to take advantage of others, they also learn how to scam systems to get ahead. We will study more of this next week. Let’s close with this, and we will pick up this idea next time.
