When life on earth becomes stressful we all look for answers as to why these times are trying. There are many people who do not look to the Bible for answers. Some people in the church do not rely on the Bible for answers. Isaiah says that the word of Elohim will stand forever. Paul tells us that every scripture is profitable for doctrine, reproof and correction. Peter tells us that the Holy Spirit causes holy men of God to speak. Our trust in the written scripture is due to the Holy Spirit working in us. We are filled with miracle working power but we don’t always understand it. We are the ones who bring the good news to others and David says that Yahweh Elohim gives us rhēma in miracle working power. We are not who we have been led to believe we are. We are positioned above the other sons of God.

Paul says that all holy Writ is God breathed or inspired by God. The word theopneustos literally means “God breathed”. The written scripture is God breathed. I don’t think we can do much better than that. This God breathed word is beneficial or profitable for instruction or education, for proof or persuasion, and it is beneficial for correcting or setting straight. It is also beneficial for training and education in righteousness or justice. This is a very important sentence. All the God breathed scripture is important because it educates us, it persuades us, it corrects us, and it trains us in righteousness. This is for our benefit so that we can be perfect.

In order that we can be competent, perfect, and complete, as manfaced of God, we are made perfect to complete all good works. We are given God Breathed words that were written down for us. It seems that we should regard these written words more highly than mans words. David says Yahweh Elohim gives rhēma.

The one who euaggelizō, evangelizes the gospel, is given rhēma for much dunamis, miracle working power. This is interesting. Not only is scripture God breathed, we are also given rhēma for miracle power. One would think that we have all that we need to learn about Yahweh and to understand his ways. Isaiah tells us that God’s rhēma abides into the eons.
Isaiah is told to yell. He asks what he should yell. He is to yell that all flesh is like grass and all of manface’s glory is like a blooming flower in the grass. The grass dries up and the bloom falls off because the Pneuma, the Spirit, of Elohim blows in them. The grass is the chosen people, but the chosen people are dried and the glory of the chosen people fell off. But the rhēma of Elohim abides into the eon.

The rhēma of Elohim remains forever. The weight of that statement is very important. The utterances of the Elohim are going to stand for an eon. The Holy Spirit blows on the chosen people and they dry up and lose their glory. But the words of the Elohim won’t become of none effect. What this means is that people really have no glory apart from the Elohim. Every prophecy from the Holy Spirit, every spoken utterance by a prophet, will come to pass. There is more. Every future word spoken against a nation, every battle, every war, will come to pass. It is our obligation to understand timing. For example, people are always trying to place the Gog and Magog war into nations that we see today. However the Bible tells us exactly when this war will occur. It will occur at the end if the millennial kingdom, as written in the Book of Revelation, the revealing told to us by John. What this tells us is that Ezekiel’s prophecy has a hard time line. Since we are not in the millennial kingdom, we will simply have to wait to find out who is in the Gog and Magog war. At the very least we know that Gog the Locust King will be leading the charge.
Another example is the gathering of the church. No matter how many times the Bible tells us that the church will be gathered before the tribulation, and no matter how many ways the prophets said it, there are some who refuse to believe the rhēma of Elohim. As a side note on this topic, when people claim they are prophets, and their prophecies are in contradiction to the rhēma of Elohim, they are pseudo prophets. There are no prophets that can legitimately contradict the rhēma of Elohim because his rhēma lasts forever. People feel very free to speak from their own mind or their own heart and call it prophecy, but true prophecy does not contradict what is written in the Bible. Instead it is our obligation to align every word we hear with the words already spoken by the Elohim.
The Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God, blows on the grass it dries up and the blooms fall off. This tells us that there are not that many people who can truly hear from and speak from the Elohim. Peter quotes Isaiah and adds something simple.

Remembering when Peter lived, he states that the rhēma of Yahweh abides into the ages and this rhēma is the euaggelizō, good news for you. There will always be people in the church who will discard parts of the Bible. Some don’t believe we should study the Old Covenant, some only read the New Covenant. Some people reject specific books, like Hebrews, or Revelation. Truly, the good news is in all of the Bible.
Just prior to the turn of the 21st century, I personally saw the foolishness among those who do not embrace the entire Bible. Some people claimed one thing, others claimed the exact opposite. Many of these opposing preachers went to the same Bible Colleges. How can we have so many teachings that don’t agree? Because people don’t understand who authored the Bible. They don’t realize that every rhēma of Elohim will last into the eons. Some people even believe that their knowledge is better or higher than the written text. Peter helps us here. Peter explains his experience on the mountain.

Peter says that they have a steadfast enduring and a certain logos of prophecy and we would do well to heed it. We should devote ourselves to it like a lamp shining in a dark and dirty place until that day breaks through and Jesus the morning star, the light bearer, phōsphoros, arises in our heart. The idea that Peter is conveying is to follow the prophecies from the past prophets. Use it like a light so we don’t trip and fall. Keep doing this until the daybreak, the day when phōsphoros arises in our heart. If we understand, the allusion here is that the bridegroom comes for his bride at night, then we realize what Peter wants us to know. The daybreak is the morning when the light bearer has truly arisen in us.
As we should notice, logos and rhēma are very similar. They both mean something spoken, an utterance, and something spoken by God, meaning both can be divine words. Rhēma can be a command, while logos is a mandate or order. The difference here would be when we command a demon to leave, as compared to reminding someone of the ordinance to resist the devil. Rhēma is more of a speech or discourse, while logos is a saying or something said. The difference here is that a lawyer would give a speech or persuasive argument before a judge and jury, while logos is more like answering questions while on a witness stand before a judge. Peter goes on.

The first thing we are to realize or come to know, or ascertain, is that all prophecy (which is interpreting the will of the Elohim) of scripture or holy Writ does not come into being by one’s own personal explanation. We are to first ascertain that the whole of the prophecy of the sacred writings is not observed by private or separate solution. This is the first thing that we are to understand. What does Peter mean? Peter is warning us not to try and interpret the holy sacred writings on our own. The writings interpret themselves. Have you ever known someone who says that they are prophetic and then they take a sentence or half of a sentence out of the Bible and claim that sentence to be a prophecy for someone or something? When we look at the context of the sentence we may find out that it is not a blessing for us but a curse. We have seen people write entire books claiming this is for us today, regarding a promise that is made to someone other than us. Peter continues.

Peter says that the sacred Writ is not by the will, wishes, or desires, of manfaced, but prophecy was carried or brought forth formerly however under the Holy Spirit, producing talk from the holy manfaced of God. In other words the Holy Spirit influenced the prophecy that men wrote. The Holy Spirit birthed utterance in holy men of God and someone wrote down what they said. Even in the time of the first century people were writing down what holy men said. There probably should not have been a paragraph separation here as the next sentence starts with the word “But” which is a conjunction, tying together two thoughts.

What is the comparison here? Peter is telling us how prophecy works. It works when the Holy Spirit births it or produces words in holy men. Peter then says that there exists pseudoprophētēs, pseudo prophets among the laity. This is the contrast that he is making. There are also pseudodidaskalos, pseudo teachers among the laity. Peter’s warning is that there are true prophets and teachers, and fake prophets and teachers. What do the pseudo prophets and teachers do?

These pseudo prophets and teachers secretly or craftily introduce destructive religious sects. Do we see destructive religious sects today? Jesus told us when writing to Sardis that their problem was that they were not confessing Jesus as Lord and believing he arose on the third day. Their works were not fulfilled before the Elohim. Jesus told us that if we confess Him before men then he will confess us before his Father and the angels. Have you ever heard of a religious group that believes everyone goes to heaven and that no confession is necessary? Aren’t there some people that believe there are many ways to heaven? Pseudo prophets and teachers within the Body of Christ have promoted false religions. What else do they do?

The pseudo prophets and teachers contradict, deny, or reject the despot that is buying or purchasing them from the devil. They bring upon themselves impending destruction. How can anyone deny the Holy Spirit who is birthing utterance in holy men of God? The pseudo prophets and teachers deny Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Jesus is redeeming us, buying us back from the devil. For these pseudo prophets and teachers there will be impending eternal ruin. Peter says that many will follow them.

Unfortunately many obey and yield to the pseudo prophets and teachers. Because of these false prophets and teachers the highway or the journey of alētheia, truth, is spoken of profanely and slanderously. Who is speaking reproachfully or evilly about the truth? The non-believers. The people who speak abusively against Christians do so because there are false prophets and teachers who contradict Jesus and the Holy Spirit. This is a problem. The fake prophets and fake teachers are hindering people from coming to salvation. Why do they do this? Money.

By fraudulent extortion, with carefully molded false logos, words, they traffic you. They merchandize you. They use you for gain. The judgment long ago is not delayed and their eternal ruin is not negligent. They will suffer, eternally. This tells us that it is our responsibility to know who the false prophets and teachers are, and to not follow them.
There is a reason that the word of God abides into the eons. This word cannot be changed. It is a false assumption that humans can alter the prophecies that were given by the Hoy Spirit, as holy men of God spoke. Some people would say that there is prophecy for today, and that is true, but if the prophecy of today does not align with the prophecy of previous prophets, then the prophecies of today are false. What does this mean? If someone gives a prophecy that does not align with the written scripture which was given by the Holy Spirit, then that person is a pseudo prophet.
We all hear or read prophecies that sound scary or inspiring, but they are not prophecies if they contradict the written scripture. An example would be a person claiming that we are in the tribulation period. I hear people who reject Jesus and then claim that we are in the third trumpet and the second seal. That is obviously incorrect as the seals and trumpets are in numerical order. They don’t jump around. All of the events have a specific order with other events surrounding them. Also we have the glaring problem of the church still being on the earth. There won’t be any prophecies during the tribulation unless they are given by one or both of the two witnesses. If the two witnesses aren’t on the earth yet, then we are still not in the tribulation.
To the rabbi’s who reject Jesus but make false prophecies that lead others astray, your punishment will be eternal destruction. Or you can receive Jesus as your Lord and believe that he rose from the dead on the third day. To the spiritualists who reject Jesus but make claims of future events, you are standing on quicksand, you have spiritual insight from lesser gods and have no idea what the Bible says; your punishment will be eternal destruction. Or you can receive Jesus as your Lord and believe that he rose from the dead on the third day. To those Christians who receive Jesus as Lord but reject the writings of the Holy Spirit, you are creating false religious sects, you will not like the outcome of your actions. To those Christians who reject the prophets of old and the holy Writ, your rejection of the Holy Spirit birthing words in holy men shows that you have very little understanding of Yahweh Elohim. If you spread your false ideas then you are a false prophet and false teacher, you also will not like your outcome in eternity.
Paul tells us that the gospel does not only take place in us in logos only, but also in dunamis, miracle working power.

The gospel is birthed in us in logos, dunamis, and in the Holy Spirit, and much conviction. There are four aspects to the gospel; the word, the power, the Holy Spirit, and the conviction. We see many people who have an idea of the logos. Some may even have a little power. There are fewer people who have the Holy Spirit. If any one of these three things is missing then there will be a lack of conviction and confidence in the good news, which had been given to holy men of God by the Holy Spirit. We cannot have power without the Holy Spirit.
We can see how easily people can be deceived, and false prophets and teachers can rise up, replacing the scriptures. The Holy Spirit gave us the scripture, and the Holy Spirit is also the only one who tells us of something new. Paul tells us that by reading we can comprehend what he is saying about the mystery.

Paul has a deep understanding of the mystery of Christ. He was writing for us so that we can “short cut” his fourteen years of learning in the desert. The hidden secret of the anointed one is for us to learn. Paul puts in a parenthetical idea next, that this secret mystery was not made to other generations.

This is the kind of mystery where the one’s who know the secret, which would be Yahweh and the Holy Spirit, are not leaking information to humans until a specific time. This mystery was apokaluptō, it uncovered what was stolen and hidden by a kleptomaniac. Who would want to hide information that Jesus is the Christ? Who would want to hide the information that we are joint heirs with Christ? This mystery was uncovered to the apostles and prophets by the Holy Spirit. This was the start of a new administration after Jesus died and rose up and the Holy Spirit came down to indwell those who believe on Jesus as Lord. Before Jesus died there was a different era, the Holy Spirit dwelt in prophets, those who were holy, but not in everyone. After the Messiah was crucified and rose on the third day, a new age was in place. The age of grace. This age is different than the previous age. Now all people, all nations, can be partners with Christ.

We are heirs jointly with Christ. We are belonging to the same body with Christ. We are participants with Christ. All of this is through the good news. Truly, how can anyone throw out all or parts of the Bible.This is a book of good news. The good news is that we do not live a defeated life and dry up like grass, instead we have an opportunity to partner with Christ in sharing the gospel. Like David mentioned, those who share the good news have a lot of miracle working power. Paul goes on about this mystery, but adds a few parenthetical sentences. Paul is going to tell us about the fellowship or partnership of the mystery that was hidden from all beings throughout the eons.

When this age started on the Day of Pentecost, when the Holy Spirit came to indwell believers in Christ, the new terms of the age had to be declared to rulers and authorities, the other sons of God, both the fallen sons of God and the aligned sons of God. How was this announcement made? Through the ekklēsia, the called out assembly. Our lives as believers in Christ have something different going on as compared to before the Day of Pentecost. This is the manifold, multifarious, many different, or much varied, wisdom of the Elohim. Wisdom, sophia, is a varied knowledge of diverse matters. What Paul is emphasizing here by basically saying the same thing twice is that the very much varied knowledge of diverse things was the superior intelligence of the Elohim to change the dynamic of humans by way of their own belief, in this age.

The word prothesis, translated intention means "a setting forth”, like the show bread in the temple. The show bread is exposed before God. The church, the ekklesia, is exposed before the Elohim. The multifaceted and varied intelligence and knowledge of the Elohim was to keep secret until the new age of the Holy Spirit, who the called out are and what their purpose is. Our purpose is for us to be partners with Jesus Christ. The multifaceted wisdom of God is that our words have miracle working power, especially in the good news. We were created to be joint heirs and of the same body as Christ, and to be set forth or exposed before the Elohim. There is no veil between the table of show bread and the holy of holies.
Let’s think about this. The declaration made to the other sons of God was that the church would have access to the holy of holies because of their belief in the good news which was given to holy men of God as the Holy Spirit led them to speak.

We have freedom and openness, access and admission, in confidence through our belief and trust in Him. Paul is saying that we have an open door to the holy of holies. We stand presented in the holy place, with full freedom and admission to the holy of holies. The veil was torn from the top down. There is no longer a mystery behind the curtain. The church, the ekklesia, has full access to the throne of the Father. Paul gives a few more parenthetical sentences and goes on.

He gives us kata, from heaven to earth in a downward motion, the abundance of His glory and renown, dunamis, miracle power for us to be strengthened and grow strong in the Spirit, in the inside of manface. From the heavens down to us we are given power to be strengthened in the Spirit inside of us. This is unbelievable! The Holy Spirit doesn’t reside in the other sons of God, but the Holy Spirit resides within believers on Jesus.
How is it that we are so easily fooled by pseudo prophets and pseudo teachers? We are to be strengthened inside of our body with the Holy Spirit. We were given this ability as part of his multifaceted wisdom, but the key is simple, we believe the good news. That’s it. Believe the good news that the holy men of God spoke when they were moved by the Holy Spirit. This is also how we know if a false prophet or false teacher is starting a new false religious group.

Christ indwells us when we believe in our hearts. Paul said the same thing to the Colossians, it is Christ in you the hope of glory. Do the other sons of God have Christ dwelling in them? No; the only ones who can have the Holy Spirit and Christ inhabiting them is humans who believe that Jesus died and rose up the third day. In this we are rooted and founded firmly. Paul closes with giving glory and honor in the churches to Jesus Christ, in all generations, from the first century forward to our time, and through the eons of the eons, age to age. What Paul tells us can barely be comprehended. We need a super download from the Holy Spirit to understand the dimensionality of love. We need a super download from the Holy Spirit to recognize that we are partners with Christ who are united in the same body and receive a joint inheritance. The success of our life story is not dependent on us apart from Jesus. Our success depends on the Holy Spirit downloading and birthing in us so that we can do what we are supposed to do, subdue Jesus’ enemies.
Before we can even understand why we are here we first have to give the eminent position to the scripture that was birthed through men by the Holy Spirit. If we lack in our comprehension, if we see various religious sects, then we know something is wrong with our understanding of holy Writ. If however we put the written word first and foremost in our lives, then we will uncover the secrets and hidden mysteries we so lack.
What if the enemy wants to keep us ignorant of scripture? Is that why even among Christians we have such a diversity of doctrines? We need the supernatural downloading of the Holy Spirit, but we may have to allow cookies and pop up windows to get the rhēma through. We are the announcement to the fallen sons of God that their time is almost up. We are the multifaceted wisdom of the Elohim.
