Sacrifice; Baal; What is Required; The Creator Sees All; Creating Life

There are people who look at things which have been created as worthy of worship. Instead, we should look to the one who created those things. It seems illogical to worship a created being instead of the one who created said being. The question arises why would someone worship a created being rather than the Creator? The answer is complicated and multifaceted, as people are looking for a reaction to their actions. In other words, something in return for their service. This is not the way that Yahweh deals with his people, he does not respond like a gum-ball machine. On the other hand the devil does. Yahweh tells us that fornication is terrible but is a little matter as compared to child sacrifice. Yahweh never asked anyone to sacrifice their own children for their sin. Yet Yahweh has a plan for those infants and children who have been sacrificed. What the Lord wants is for us to have a relationship with Him, not with the devil. Paul explains the problems with Israel’s history, but if we only read it from the New Covenant we will not understand it. We have to compare Paul’s words with Jeremiah and Ezekiel.

As we noticed with Abraham, Yahweh was not upset that Abraham had not made a sacrifice to him in thirty seven years. Yahweh is interested in a relationship rather than in sacrifice offerings. If we think about Cain, Cain did not bring his best to Yahweh. Cain’s heart was not right. The sacrifices ordered by Moses were to be a physical way for people to clean their hearts before the Lord. Trusting the Lord with the best one has to offer, then allowing that pure offering to cleanse one of sin, is also a foreshadowing of our redeemer, Jesus. But Yahweh would rather people have clean hearts so that sacrifices do not have to be made. Samuel tells Saul that obedience is better than sacrifice.

1 Kings 15:22 {1 Samuel 15:22} And Samuel said, Does the Lord take pleasure in whole-burnt-offerings and sacrifices, as in hearing the words of the Lord? behold, obedience is better than a good sacrifice, and hearkening than the fat of rams. 23 For sin is as divination; idols bring on pain and grief. Because thou hast rejected the word of the Lord, the Lord also shall reject thee from being king over Israel.

David also says that a broken spirit and humble heart is better before God.

Psalm 51:16 For if thou desiredst sacrifice, I would have given it: thou wilt not take pleasure in whole-burnt-offerings. 17 Sacrifice to God is a broken spirit: a broken and humbled heart God will not despise.

Our sacrifices should be prayer and thanksgiving, not animals or humans. Yet even animal sacrifices can’t help the ungodly.

Proverbs 15:8 The sacrifices of the ungodly are an abomination to the Lord; but the prayers of them that walk honestly are acceptable with him.

Yahweh is more concerned about the heart of people, which animal sacrifices or human sacrifices cannot fix. Bringing a sacrificial animal to be cleansed was supposed to be a reminder to keep one’s heart clean, not remedy for perpetual sins.

Proverbs 21:3 To do justly and to speak truth, are more pleasing to God than the blood of sacrifices.

Yahweh is merciful and would rather show mercy toward people rather than have humans bring sacrifices.

Hosea 6:7 For I will have mercy rather than sacrifice, and the knowledge of God rather than whole-burnt-offerings

Micah points the way to reaching Yahweh while calling out an evil practice that crept into their culture.

Micah 6:6 Wherewithal shall I reach the Lord, and lay hold of my God most high? shall I reach him by whole-burnt-offerings, by calves of a year old? 7 Will the Lord accept thousands of rams, or ten thousands of fat goats? should I give my first-born for ungodliness, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul? 8 Has it not been told thee, O man, what is good? or what does the Lord require of thee, but to do justice, and love mercy, and be ready to walk with the Lord thy God?

Micah even mocks the idea of infanticide. He thinks the idea of killing his first born to cover his own sins is ridiculous. How did infanticide come about? Why were people killing their own children in rituals to other gods?

Judges 8:33 And it came to pass when Gedeon was dead, that the children of Israel turned, and went a whoring after Baalim, and made for themselves a covenant with Baal that he should be their god.

Baalim is plural (three or more) for the word Baal. First we should establish that worshiping the created thing is a lie. Paul tells us this:

Romans 1:25 G3748 the ones who G3337 changed over G3588 the G225 truth G3588   G2316 of God G1722 in G3588 the G5579 lie, G2532 and G4573 worshiped G2532 and G3000 served G3588 to the G2937 created thing G3844 over G3588 the one G2936 having created it

κτίζω
ktizō ktid'-zo Probably akin to G2932 (through the idea of the proprietorship of the manufacturer); to fabricate, that is, found (form originally) KJV Usage: create, Creator, make.

People changed the truth of worshipping Yahweh into a lie by worshipping things other than Yahweh. Making a covenant with the baal’s means you do what they say. Yet the devil, the incorporeal satan, angels, and the baal’s are all created beings. The devil has created “gods” for people to worship, promising the same things that the devil promised Jesus, and tempting people with the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life. If one wants riches, power, lusts, one can have it if that one worships the devil and those fallen beings under him. The bigger and better the sacrifice, the more that person gets. Psalms 106 is a history lesson of the continual failing of the heirs of Jacob.

Psalms 106:34 They destroyed not the nations which the Lord told them to destroy; 35 but were mingled with the heathen, and learned their works. 36 And they served their graven images; and it became an offence to them. 37 And they sacrificed their sons and their daughters to devils, 38 and shed innocent blood, the blood of their sons and daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Chanaan; and the land was defiled with blood. 39 and was polluted with their works; and they went a whoring with their own devices. http://ecmarsh.com/lxx/Psalms/index.htm

If we remember, a few weeks ago we studied the games of the devil. Yahweh created humans; all humans are Yahweh’s creation, made in the image of the Elohim. Humans are the only beings we know of that can create life; we are life giving beings. Like Yahweh who created life, men and women create life. The other sons of God do not. Therefore, tricking humans into sacrificing other humans, whether infants, children, or adults, is the most evil way of subverting a loving omnipotent Creator. We are to be life creators, but have become life destroyers.

Jeremiah was one of the prophets that people mocked and made fun of before the second Babylonian captivity. Yahweh is sending Jeremiah to the people, but Yahweh is well aware of how far they have turned from Him. The priests don’t even ask where Yahweh is anymore. The people who were lawyers of the Mosaic law never knew Yahweh. The shepherds sinned against Yahweh. The prophets were prophesying via Baal. Yet Yahweh is mercifully trying to get their attention. Yahweh prefers mercy.

Jeremiah 2:8 The priests said not, Where is the Lord? and they that held by the law knew me not: the shepherds also sinned against me, and the prophets prophesied by Baal, and went after that which profited not.

Yahweh tells those in Judah to go see if the other nations change their gods. The answer is no, but Israel changed their God to the gods of the other nations. Isn’t this strange? The other nations worshipped the baal’s and moloch, and continued to do so, but Israel went from worshipping the Creator to worshipping the created thing. The heavens are amazed at this.

Jeremiah 2:9 Therefore I will yet plead with you, and will plead with your children’s children. 10 For go to the isles of the Chettians, and see; and send to Kedar, and observe accurately, and see if such things have been done; 11 if the nations will change their gods, though they are not gods: but my people have changed their glory, for that from which they shall not be profited. 12 The heaven is amazed at this, and is very exceedingly horror-struck, saith the Lord. 13 For my people has committed two faults, and evil ones: they have forsaken me, the fountain of water of life, and hewn out for themselves broken cisterns, which will not be able to hold water.

Heaven is amazed, the sons of God are amazed that Israel and Judah can be so blind as to worship demonic gods. The sons of God are extremely horrified at this behavior. They essentially took a working fountain, a natural spring, covered it up, and made large breakable clay pots, to hold water. Why not go to the living spring? Why not simply use the continuously flowing water? Why would anyone try and contain living water in a broken storage tank? Israel and Judah changed from worshipping Yahweh, who is living refreshing water, to dead stagnant water.

Jeremiah 2:26 As is the shame of a thief when he is caught, so shall the children of Israel be ashamed; they, and their kings, and their princes, and their priests, and their prophets. 27 They said to a stock {tree}, Thou art my father; and to a stone, Thou has begotten me: and they have turned their backs to me, and not their faces: yet in the time of their afflictions they will say, Arise, and save us. 28 And where are thy gods, which thou madest for thyself? will they arise and save in the time of thine affliction? for according to the number of thy cities were thy gods, O Juda; and according to the number of the streets of Jerusalem they sacrificed to Baal. 29 Wherefore do ye speak unto me? ye all have been ungodly, and ye all have transgressed against me, saith the Lord. 30 In vain have I smitten your children; ye have not received correction: a sword has devoured your prophets as a destroying lion; yet ye feared not.

They started to believe in and worship trees and stones for creating them, but when they were in trouble they cried to Yahweh. The number of gods they had equaled the number of cities. The number of places to worship baal were equal to the number of streets they had. Notice what Paul says.

Romans 1:18-23 (DRV)
18  For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and injustice of those men that detain the truth of God in injustice:
19  Because that which is known of God is manifest in them. For God hath manifested it unto them.
20  For the invisible things of him, from the creation of the world, are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made; his eternal power also, and divinity: so that they are inexcusable.
21  Because that, when they knew God, they have not glorified him as God, or given thanks; but became vain in their thoughts, and their foolish heart was darkened.
22  For professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.
23  And they changed the glory of the incorruptible God into the likeness of the image of a corruptible man, and of birds, and of fourfooted beasts, and of creeping things.

5349
φθαρτός
phthartos fthar-tos' From G5351; decayed, that is, (by implication) perishable KJV Usage: corruptible.

Instead of worshipping and serving the glory of the aphthartos, the un-decaying God, they made representations and profiles of decaying things. They became morons. That seems rather backwards. The incorruptible Yahweh, tells them what to do to correct themselves because they have trusted in lying words.

Jeremiah 7:5 For if ye thoroughly correct your ways and your practices, and do indeed execute judgment between a man and his neighbour; 6 and oppress not the stranger, and the orphan, and the widow, and shed not innocent blood in this place, and go not after strange gods to your hurt: 7 then will I cause you to dwell in this place, in the land which I gave to your fathers of old and for ever.
8 But whereas ye have trusted in lying words, whereby ye shall not be profited; 9 and ye murder, and commit adultery, and steal, and swear falsely, and burn incense to Baal, and are gone after strange gods whom ye know not, 10 so that it is evil with you; yet have ye come, and stood before me in the house, whereon my name is called, and ye have said, We have refrained from doing all these abominations.

They tried to hide their evil behaviors and then lie about it. Paul then tells us what happened.

Romans 1:24-25 (DRV)
24  Wherefore God gave them up to the desires of their heart, unto uncleanness, to dishonour their own bodies among themselves.
25  Who changed the truth of God into a lie; and worshipped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

If their desires were not for the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, they would have served Yahweh. But instead they served the corruptible devil for all the corruptible things in this world. This is short sighted as man was created to be immortal as Solomon writes in Wisdom 2:23; Yahweh is an eternal God as Abraham tells us in Genesis 21:33 and Moses declared to Israel in Deuteronomy 33:27. This is why the question needs to be asked; who would worship the created devil, idols, “gods”, and the fallen sons of God as opposed to the eternal Creator? Yahweh says “let the gods which have not made heaven and earth perish”, and be assured, they will perish.

Jeremiah 10:11 Thus shall ye say to them, Let the gods which have not made heaven and earth perish from off the earth, and from under this sky. 12 It is the Lord that made the earth by his strength, who set up the world by his wisdom, and by his understanding stretched out the sky, 13 and set abundance of waters in the sky, and brought up clouds from the ends of the earth; he made lightnings for the rain, and brought forth light out of his treasures. 14 Every man is deprived of knowledge, every goldsmith is confounded because of his graven images; for he has cast false gods, there is no breath in them. 15 They are vain works, wrought in mockery; in the time of their visitation they shall perish. 16 Such is not the portion of Jacob; for he that formed all things, he is his inheritance; the Lord is his name.

Worship the one who made heaven and earth, He is Jacob’s inheritance. In serving the created being instead of the Creator, the people had to keep serving the created being to feed their own lusts. Ezekiel, who was among the first wave of captives into Babylon, tells us the things that they were now enslaved to do to produce a “reaction” from the creature and his fallen cohorts.

Ezekiel 16:15 Thou didst trust in thy beauty, and didst go a-whoring because of thy renown, and didst pour out thy fornication on every passer by. 16 And thou didst take of thy garments, and madest to thyself idols of needlework, and didst go a-whoring after them; therefore thou shalt never come in, nor shall the like take place. 17 And thou tookest thy fair ornaments of my gold and of my silver, of what I gave thee, and thou madest to thyself male images, and thou didst commit whoredom with them.

Let’s clarify verse 17. They took the gold and silver from the temple, God’s gold and silver, and made statues, or cast figurines, of male genitals. The word “male” here is overwhelmingly “male organ”, or male because of a circumcisable penis. It does not simply mean male in gender or pretend gender, it is male due to male body parts. They made these body parts of gold and sliver from the temple and fornicated with them. They used the statues as tools for fornication. The word fornication comes from the word porneuō, meaning unlawful lust or sexual intercourse. Today there are  countries that sell statues to tourists with enlarged male genitalia as souvenirs, claiming they are an ancient “god”. When was the last time we heard prophecies like this in church?

Ezekiel 16:18 And thou didst take thy variegated apparel and didst clothe them, and thou didst set before them mine oil and mine incense. 19 And thou tookest my bread which I gave thee, (yea I fed thee with fine flour and oil and honey) and didst set them before them for a sweet-smelling savour: yea, it was so, saith the Lord.

Israel then offered their penis statues food and incense and dressed them. We somehow think the idea of sex toys is a modern invention. It is not. Paul says God gave them up to passions of dishonor.

Romans 1:26-27 (DRV)
26  For this cause God delivered them up to shameful affections. For their women have changed the natural use into that use which is against nature.
27  And, in like manner, the men also, leaving the natural use of the women, have burned in their lusts one towards another, men with men working that which is filthy, and receiving in themselves the recompense which was due to their error.

Romans 1:26 G1223 On account of G3778 this G3860 [2delivered them up G1473   G3588   G2316 1God] G1519 unto G3806 passions G819 of dishonor. Women changed their physical manner of sexual intercourse to a manner that was beyond natural, or abnormal. We want to keep in mind that at this point in time in the temple there had been over three hundred years of sexual sins including male and female prostitution. Women changed their physical manner of sexual relations as well as men. Men and women using their gold and silver figures of male genitalia is changing their physical use to a use against what they were naturally created for. They became self servants of lust rather than creators of life.

The men were inflamed with lust. They had the culture of rape, male and female, like in Sodom. The beds for the sodomites in the temple were for sexual rites and rituals to the devil. This lasted into the first century during the time of Jesus. Men and women had gold and silver sexual figurines. They did this in the temple as well as other places in Israel, 1 Kings 14:24, 2 Kings 23:7. They had specific houses for prostitution in the cities and booths in the temple. They bound people in chains and they were also willingly joined together in these practices. Is it any wonder we see so much sexual abuse today? It is a ritual attributed to the devil. We have looked under the lid of religious and political corruption and found it hiding in plain sight. It is one of the the devil’s requirements if one serves him. The devil distorts human thinking from life givers to self-serving murders for lustful gain. Paul isn’t telling us anything that is new. Ezekiel goes on.

Ezekiel 16:20 And thou tookest thy sons and thy daughters, whom thou borest, and didst sacrifice these to them to be destroyed. Thou didst go a-whoring as if that were little, 21 and didst slay thy children, and gavest them up in offering them to them for an expiation.

Thomson’s Septuagint clarifies this idea.

Ezekiel 16:20That thou didst take thy sons and thy daughters whom thou hadst born and didst sacrifice these to them to be devoured. As if it had been a small matter to commit fornication, 21 thou didst slay thy children and offer them up, making them expiatory sacrifices to those images,

If we thought that the physical unnatural fornication was bad, sacrificing children is worse. They were using their own children to atone for their own sins in sacrifice to the baal’s. In Yahweh’s view it is not a small matter to commit fornication, or even unnatural fornication, but murdering children is a very terrible matter.

Ezekiel 16:22 This is beyond all thy fornication, and thou didst not remember thine infancy, when thou wast naked and bare, and didst live though defiled in thy blood.

This is beyond all their sexual fornications. They made the temple a house of fornication, and built public places for fornication on every street. There must have been a lot of sexual activity going on in Judah. This is still a smaller matter compared to child sacrifice and infanticide. Yahweh does count degrees of sin.

Ezekiel 16:23 And it came to pass after all thy wickedness, saith the Lord, 24 that thou didst build thyself a house of fornication, and didst make thyself a public place in every street; 25 and on the head of every way thou didst set up thy fornications, and didst defile thy beauty, and didst open thy feet to every passer by, and didst multiply thy fornication. 26 And thou didst go a-whoring after the children of Egypt thy neighbors, great of flesh; and didst go a-whoring, often to provoke me to anger.

They opened their feet, or spread their legs for everyone who passed by. Ezekiel is writing at the same time period as Jeremiah. In order to gain more lust, wealth, and power, the people went further and further in complying with the devil until they were killing their own babies. Let us clarify this point. We humans may procreate and birth babies, but these babies are Yahweh’s. Our Creator made us to also create life, and all humans are His, whether we reject or accept Him. The other sons of God do not create life. Therefore when we kill a created being we are killing a life that is technically Yahweh’s. Remember what Jesus said about children, such is the kingdom of heaven, Matthew 19. Does Yahweh have a plan for murdered children and infants in the Kingdom? Yes. They are His.

What is happening in Judah is fornication among a majority of the nation, not a few religious or political leaders or foreigners. They made public prostitution houses on every street. Judah didn’t remember her start in the wilderness and the promises she made. She didn’t remember how Yahweh helped her. Now she is sold out to the practices of the devil.

Jeremiah 19:3 and thou shalt say to them,
Hear ye the word of the Lord, ye kings of Juda, and men of Juda, and the dwellers in Jerusalem, and they that enter in by these gates; thus saith the Lord God of Israel; Behold, I will bring evil upon this place, so that the ears of every one that hears it shall tingle. 4 Because they forsook me, and profaned this place, and burnt incense in it to strange gods, which they and their fathers knew not; and the kings of Juda have filled this place with innocent blood, 5 and built high places for Baal, to burn their children in the fire, which things I commanded not, neither did I design them in my heart:
6 Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when this place shall no more be called, The fall and burial-place of the son of Ennom, but, The burial-place of slaughter. 7 And I will destroy the counsel of Juda and the counsel of Jerusalem in this place; and I will cast them down with the sword before their enemies, and by the hands of them that seek their lives: and I will give their dead bodies for food to the birds of the sky and to the wild beasts of the earth.

Yahweh will destroy the will, the plans, and the purposes, of Judah and Jerusalem. He will cast down the political and religious leaders and rulers. Then they will turn to cannibalism; canaan-baal practices.

Jeremiah 19:8 And I will bring this city to desolation and make it a hissing; every one that passes by it shall scowl, and hiss because of all her plague. 9 And they shall eat the flesh of their sons, and the flesh of their daughters; and they shall eat every one the flesh of his neighbour in the blockade, and in the siege wherewith their enemies shall besiege them.

We think eating and drinking the flesh and blood of other humans is a more recent fairytale including vampires and werwolves, but in Jerusalem the people were brought this low. This is why we see the same behaviors among the elite political and religious leaders of today. They promote the health benefits of hematophagy, without mentioning the side effects like haemochromatosis or kuru. Because of the mixing of angelic DNA with human DNA, there are people who practice this now, as in the days of Noah. We identified this behavior a few weeks ago. Noah was the first to command this sons not to drink blood, however as we have seen through Israel’s history, there was so much genetic mixing with the Nephilim, Israel fell into those practices as well.

Jeremiah 19:13 And the houses of Jerusalem, and the houses of the kings of Juda shall be as a ruinous place, because of their uncleannesses in all the houses, wherein they burnt incense upon their roofs to all the host of heaven, and poured drink-offerings to strange gods.

They openly worshipped their other gods. Jeremiah then goes into the outer courts of the temple and prophesies as to what the Lord is going to do. Paul tells us that what they were doing was putting Yahweh to the test. They didn’t believe Yahweh would do anything, so they kept pushing, believing that Yahweh did not have full knowledge of what was happening.

Yahweh let them have an unapproved or worthless intellect. Remember when we saw how shocked and horrified the heavenly sons of God were at the rejection of the Creator? As Israel continued to reject Yahweh, they behaved in a manner that was further and further from Yahweh. It’s not the blood of sacrifice but ones heart that Yahweh would rather have. He is the one who is merciful and would rather show mercy than demand a sacrifice. But it came to a point that Yahweh let them have their distorted intellect. This is how we know and recognize who the earthly sons of God are and who the earthly sons of the devil are.

Romans 1:29-31 (DRV)
29  Being filled with all iniquity, malice, fornication, avarice, wickedness, full of envy, murder, contention, deceit, malignity, whisperers,
30  Detractors, hateful to God, contumelious, proud, haughty, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
31  Foolish, dissolute, without affection, without fidelity, without mercy.

We see this laundry list of bad behaviors due to the rejection of the Creator. As Yahweh told us, their fornications were bad enough, but compared to the murder of infants and children, the fornications with houses and booths for male and female prostitution, and their use of gold and sliver male genitalia, was a small matter. Yahweh weighs sin. Notice this last verse.

Romans 1:32 (DRV)
32  Who, having known the justice of God, did not understand that they who do such things, are worthy of death; and not only they that do them, but they also that consent to them that do them.

Romans 1:32 These, while they know the judgment of God, that he condemneth those to death who perpetrate such things, are not only doers of them, but the companions of such as do them.

Romans 1:32 Who, indeed, having acknowledged the righteous sentence of God,—that, they who such things as these do practise, are worthy of death, not only, the same things, are doing, but are even delighting together with them who are practising [them] .

It almost seems as if we logged into social media, and the counterfeit intellect of people is on full display, expecting that Yahweh doesn’t see any of their behavior. These behaviors are worthy of death, but these people will claim that we don’t know what we are talking about. These same people who have failed the test of life, are delighting and agreeing with others who do the same and are also on the road to hades. In other words, the children of the devil are celebrating other children of the devil and are gratified that they are all going to hades together. Is anything hidden from Yahweh?

Jeremiah 39:26 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
27 I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: shall anything be hidden from me! …….33 And they turned the back to me, and not the face: whereas I taught them early in the morning, but they hearkened no more to receive instructions. 34 And they set their pollutions in the house, on which my name was called, by their uncleannesses. 35 And they built to Baal the altars that are in the valley of the son of Ennom, to offer their sons and their daughters to king Moloch; which things I commanded them not, neither came it into my mind that they should do this abomination, to cause Juda to sin.

Jeremiah makes it clear that Yahweh did not command sacrifices of their children. Yahweh sees everything. David prophesies of the coming Messiah, that he would be a sacrifice.

Psalm 40:6 Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not; but a body hast thou prepared me: whole-burnt-offering and sacrifice for sin thou didst not require.

Jesus is the sacrifice. The Israelites rejected Jesus, and now have no atonement for sin. Anyone rejecting Jesus, that is the Jew, atheist, or any other religion, die without atonement and redemption.

Hebrews 10:12-13 (AMP)
12  Whereas this One [Christ], after He had offered a single sacrifice for our sins [that shall avail] for all time, sat down at the right hand of God,
13  Then to wait until His enemies should be made a stool beneath His feet.

Jesus overcame sin for us. All we need to do is believe on Him as Lord and Savior and publicly confess him.

Romans 8:1-6 (AMP)
1  THEREFORE, [there is] now no condemnation (no adjudging guilty of wrong) for those who are in Christ Jesus, who live [and] walk not after the dictates of the flesh, but after the dictates of the Spirit.
2  For the law of the Spirit of life [which is] in Christ Jesus [the law of our new being] has freed me from the law of sin and of death.
3  For God has done what the Law could not do, [its power] being weakened by the flesh [the entire nature of man without the Holy Spirit]. Sending His own Son in the guise of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, [God] condemned sin in the flesh [subdued, overcame, deprived it of its power over all who accept that sacrifice],
4  So that the righteous and just requirement of the Law might be fully met in us who live and move not in the ways of the flesh but in the ways of the Spirit [our lives governed not by the standards and according to the dictates of the flesh, but controlled by the Holy Spirit].
5  For those who are according to the flesh and are controlled by its unholy desires set their minds on and pursue those things which gratify the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit and are controlled by the desires of the Spirit set their minds on and seek those things which gratify the [Holy] Spirit.
6  Now the mind of the flesh [which is sense and reason without the Holy Spirit] is death [death that comprises all the miseries arising from sin, both here and hereafter]. But the mind of the [Holy] Spirit is life and [soul] peace [both now and forever].

There truly is nothing new under the sun. All manner of defilements were happening in the world back then and they certainly continue today. We simply go through dark ages were these practices are hidden. Yahweh did not want infant and child sacrifice, but instead a pure heart. The Heavenly Father sacrificed his own son, but not for His or His Sons’ sin, but for our sin. He redeemed us and we are no longer condemned. Humans who accept Jesus’ free will offer of redemption are not under the curse of the world. Instead humans are under the law of the Spirit of life. Humans are life giving beings, different from the rest of the sons of God. Those who come to the Lord Jesus and walk in the Spirit can have forgiveness, as well as life and peace.
