Nimrod Tries to Kill God, Do Our World Leaders Believe in Aliens?

We get our tradition and legends about the Tower Nimrod built from the book of Jasher.  At first it seems that the tower was built to avoid another flood but as the building continued pride rose up in men and the foolishness of their hearts caused them to think they could kill God. We can see that they thought they could make war with God, the creator. It seems inconceivable that anyone would think they could fight God or make war with God but we have to remember that their knowledge base was not like ours today.  We have bibles everywhere, in books, libraries, in digital format on computers and phones.  We have audio bibles where someone else reads the words to us.  We have every kind of study tool imaginable and every commentary available on our phones, as well as computers.  In Nimrod’s day, if you heard about God from Noah, Japeth, Shem and Ham, but didn’t establish a personal relationship with God, then you could easily stray away from God.  The difference is that there wasn’t as much available knowledge as we have today.  So while it seems ridiculous to us, with a good distraction plan from satan, people could easily be turned away from God.  The obvious problem for us is that today there is no excuse for humanity as resources are so easily available.

Jasher Ch 9
7And the king and all his servants, and Terah with all his household were then the first of those that served gods of wood and stone. 8And Terah had twelve gods of large size, made of wood and stone, after the twelve months of the year, and he served each one monthly, and every month Terah would bring his meat offering and drink offering to his gods; thus did Terah all the days.9 And all that generation were wicked in the sight of the Lord, and they thus made every man his god, but they forsook the Lord who had created them.10 And there was not a man found in those days in the whole earth, who knew the Lord (for they served each man his own God) except Noah and his household, and all those who were under his counsel knew the Lord in those days.11And Abram the son of Terah was waxing great in those days in the house of Noah, and no man knew it, and the Lord was with him.12And the Lord gave Abram an understanding heart, and he knew all the works of that generation were vain, and that all their gods were vain and were of no avail.

After observing the sun Moon and Stars Abraham recognized they serve God and are not gods themselves
19 And Abram said unto himself Surely these are not gods that made the earth and all mankind, but these are the servants of God, and Abram remained in the house of Noah and there knew the Lord and his ways' and he served the Lord all the days of his life, and all that generation forgot the Lord, and served other gods of wood and stone, and rebelled all their days.

For Abraham it must have been a confusing time as the society around him had turned to worshipping the elements and started making their own gods.  Even Abraham’s own father made his own idols yet Abraham was living with Noah and Shem for 39 years, learning about the creator God.

20And king Nimrod reigned securely, and all the earth was under his control, and all the earth was of one tongue and words of union.21And all the princes of Nimrod and his great men took counsel together; Phut, Mitzraim, Cush and Canaan with their families, and they said to each other, Come let us build ourselves a city and in it a strong tower, and its top reaching heaven, and we will make ourselves famed, so that we may reign upon the whole world, in order that the evil of our enemies may cease from us, that we may reign mightily over them, and that we may not become scattered over the earth on account of their wars.22And they all went before the king, and they told the king these words, and the king agreed with them in this affair, and he did so.23And all the families assembled consisting of about six hundred thousand men, and they went to seek an extensive piece of ground to build the city and the tower, and they sought in the whole earth and they found none like one valley at the east of the land of Shinar, about two days' walk, and they journeyed there and they dwelt there.24And they began to make bricks and burn fires to build the city and the tower that they had imagined to complete.

25And the building of the tower was unto them a transgression and a sin, and they began to build it, and whilst they were building against the Lord God of heaven, they imagined in their hearts to war against him and to ascend into heaven.

So they imagined they could war with God, the creator?

26And all these people and all the families divided themselves in three parts; the first said We will ascend into heaven and fight against him; the second said, We will ascend to heaven and place our own gods there and serve them; and the third part said, We will ascend to heaven and smite him with bows and spears; and God knew all their works and all their evil thoughts, and he saw the city and the tower which they were building.27And when they were building they built themselves a great city and a very high and strong tower; and on account of its height the mortar and bricks did not reach the builders in their ascent to it, until those who went up had completed a full year, and after that, they reached to the builders and gave them the mortar and the bricks; thus was it done daily.28And behold these ascended and others descended the whole day; and if a brick should fall from their hands and get broken, they would all weep over it, and if a man fell and died, none of them would look at him.

29And the Lord knew their thoughts, and it came to pass when they were building they cast the arrows toward the heavens, and all the arrows fell upon them filled with blood, and when they saw them they said to each other, Surely we have slain all those that are in heaven.30For this was from the Lord in order to cause them to err, and in order; to destroy them from off the face of the ground.31And they built the tower and the city, and they did this thing daily until many days and years were elapsed.

They thought that they killed God.

32And God said to the seventy angels who stood foremost before him, to those who were near to him, saying, Come let us descend and confuse their tongues, that one man shall not understand the language of his neighbor, and they did so unto them.33And from that day following, they forgot each man his neighbor's tongue, and they could not understand to speak in one tongue, and when the builder took from the hands of his neighbor lime or stone which he did not order, the builder would cast it away and throw it upon his neighbor, that he would die.34And they did so many days, and they killed many of them in this manner.35And the Lord smote the three divisions that were there, and he punished them according to their works and designs; those who said, We will ascend to heaven and serve our gods, became like apes and elephants; and those who said, We will smite the heaven with arrows, the Lord killed them, one man through the hand of his neighbor; and the third division of those who said, We will ascend to heaven and fight against him, the Lord scattered them throughout the earth.36And those who were left amongst them, when they knew and understood the evil which was coming upon them, they forsook the building, and they also became scattered upon the face of the whole earth.37And they ceased building the city and the tower; therefore he called that place Babel, for there the Lord confounded the Language of the whole earth; behold it was at the east of the land of Shinar. 38And as to the tower which the sons of men built, the earth opened its mouth and swallowed up one third part thereof, and a fire also descended from heaven and burned another third, and the other third is left to this day, and it is of that part which was aloft, and its circumference is three days' walk.39 And many of the sons of men died in that tower, a people without number.

This was not the last time someone thought they could fight God, in the future others will think they can fight God.

Ps 2:1-4 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against his anointed, saying,3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.KJV

Rev 17:11-14 And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.12 And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.13 These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.KJV
Rev 19:19-20 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.KJV

I started wondering why in our modern day, there would be leaders who make war against God.  In Psalms 2 we see a conversation between the Father, Son and Holy Spirit and we find out that future world leaders will try and “cut the cord” from God.  They try and separate themselves from God, like a baby’s umbilical cord is cut to separate it from its mother.  However it may have been more beneficial to their cause if these world leaders were to have created their own place to live and moved there, outside of what God created. But we know that we do not have the power to create another planet, in its own orbit, and survive.  So what the world leaders want is a mutiny, they want to take what God created and rule it for themselves, apart from God’s influence.  How can the creation be separated from its creator? Only satan can deceive people into thinking that could happen. And one lie would be that he satan is the god of this world who owns it and rules it.  What satan didn’t mention is that, just like we saw last week with Abraham, once something is written in the heavens it cannot be changed.  If we remember when we studied about Lucifer, the kings of the earth will be in hell and marveling that satan has become like them.  The kings who were in hell obviously thought that satan would be getting them out of hell to rule the world again, but they found out differently.

Another lie that would make world leaders war with God is if the world leaders thought they were fighting against invading aliens.  I have to wonder about the big cover-ups and half leaked stories about aliens.  Again I have never seen one and I don’t know anyone who has, so I can’t say they exist. However, if they do exist, they are under the authority of God, the creator.  Most people get so excited about alien stories, that they forget God knows and has authority over them, because if they exist, he created them too. I wonder if our world leaders were deceived into thinking that there would be aliens that will attack earth, and when the rapture occurs they will point to that as an alien attack.  Otherwise it would make no sense to think you could make war with God, not with all the resources we have today concerning God and his creation.  Nimrod didn’t have the resources we have today, sadly for us that means we have no excuse to not know Him.  However if aliens were to invade the earth, then a one world government would be a necessity to fight an attack, therefore a pretend alien invasion could help bring forth a new world order and cleanse the population down to a smaller number.  Even a nuclear attack on an uncooperative country could be covered up to say it was an alien attack if the buildup of alien existence becomes a societal “reality”.

Something we have to remember is that we are not the center of the story, we are a part or a small piece of a bigger story of a heavenly rebellion as we saw in earlier blogs.  With that in mind, whatever happens in the world is just the devils plan to cause as much damage as possible before the declared end of his rein.  However, there will be a rapture of the church before the tribulation, and there will be a rapture of the 144,000 Jews in the middle of the tribulation.
Rev 14:4-5 These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.5 And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.KJV

It could be possible that satan’s explanation of these events will be alien abduction. At the time of the rapture of the church and the leaving of the Holy Spirit from earth, there will be turmoil and chaos, and it will be a perfect time for world socialism to emerge as well as Islam to make a big push towards world tyranny.  At that time there will be one thing that brings Jesus back for Israel, they will have to repent and say Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.
Matt 23:37-39 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!38 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.39 For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.KJV

That is the message for the return of Jesus to earth, when his people, Israel, corporately cry out to him, he’ll come back for them with the armies of heaven.  If the world leaders think his return can be thwarted by a war of their means, they are mistaken.  It is beneficial for all of us to fear God, not just as in respect but truly fear him so that we walk uprightly before him.  Jesus told us to fear Him.
Matt 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.KJV
Luke 12:5 But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.KJV

One thing our world leaders don’t do is fear God.

Finally everyone was scattered across the land as the Lord had commanded earlier, but not by their own free will. They were separated by their language.  They set up governments and cities according to their languages.   This is one reason we have so many different names for things and for people, everyone wrote and recorded in their own language, and neighboring communities merged the names for places and people as time went on.

Jasher CH 11:1-12
1And Nimrod son of Cush was still in the land of Shinar, and he reigned over it and dwelt there, and he built cities in the land of Shinar.2 And these are the names of the four cities which he built, and he called their names after the occurrences that happened to them in the building of the tower.3 And he called the first Babel, saying, Because the Lord there confounded the language of the whole earth; and the name of the second he called Erech, because from there God dispersed them.4 And the third he called Eched, saying there was a great battle at that place; and the fourth he called Calnah, because his princes and mighty men were consumed there, and they vexed the Lord, they rebelled and transgressed against him.5 And when Nimrod had built these cities in the land of Shinar, he placed in them the remainder of his people, his princes and his mighty men that were left in his kingdom.6 And Nimrod dwelt in Babel, and he there renewed his reign over the rest of his subjects, and he reigned securely, and the subjects and princes of Nimrod called his name Amraphel, saying that at the tower his princes and men fell through his means.

And after all that Nimrod still did not fear God and continued to teach wickedness.

7 And notwithstanding this, Nimrod did not return to the Lord, and he continued in wickedness and teaching wickedness to the sons of men; and Mardon, his son, was worse than his father, and continued to add to the abominations of his father.8 And he caused the sons of men to sin, therefore it is said, From the wicked goeth forth wickedness. 9At that time there was war between the families of the children of Ham, as they were dwelling in the cities which they had built. 10And Chedorlaomer, king of Elam, went away from the families of the children of Ham, and he fought with them and he subdued them, and he went to the five cities of the plain and he fought against them and he subdued them, and they were under his control 11 And they served him twelve years, and they gave him a yearly tax.12 At that time died Nahor, son of Serug, in the forty-ninth year of the life of Abram son of Terah.

Another leader rose up and started taxing the people, warring with the other cities around him.  So now we have two wicked tyrants in the land.  Both were from the line of Ham.  Nahor, Abrahams grandfather died.  All of this took place around the time Abraham was 49.  At fifty, Abraham goes to war against man made idols and takes action.  And what a stir that causes.
