I wonder if we can even imagine one thousand years without wars? I wonder if we can imagine one thousand years of peace? I wonder if we can imagine one thousand years of being perfectly loved? Looking at the millennial kingdom, the place we will meet with Yahweh, we see it will be a kingdom of healing. We have so much to heal from, especially our way of life under the evil ruler of the darkness of this world. There will be security. There will be safety. There will still be sin, but sin will be judged by the judges. People will marry, have families, and die. But our entire existence will be guided by Yahweh Elohim. It is hard to imagine that we will be loved by our King and Lord who will love all of us. Today we are not loved by our kings and overlords, we are despised because we are living under Satanas’ kingdom of evil. The millennial kingdom is simply another step on the way to the new heaven and new earth, our eternal existence. Can we even imagine eternal life?
We are always threatened with wars and rumors of wars. Jesus said don’t worry, the end is not yet. Most people hope that it will be the end, that WWlll would usher in the harpazo, the Day of the Lord, and the millennial kingdom, but earthly war is irrelevant to heavenly events. While Jesus was with his disciples, they pointed out the construction of the temple. As they are looking at the temple Jesus tells them that it will be demolished. They were thinking that when the temple was destroyed it would be the Day of the Lord, the end of that age, but it was not. Jesus explains.

The temple was demolished. So much so, the entire hill where the temple sat was dug down and the stones and dirt were used on the fortress Antonia, which is what we know as the temple mount. As we have noted in prior studies the temple was not on the temple mount, the fortress Antonia was. They used all the stones to build up the walls. The temple was over the Gihon Springs as the temple has a requirement for water. This is archeologically accurate.

The disciples are notably surprised. Then they ask Jesus three questions. When we read this section of Matthew 24 we read without regard to the questions. Jesus is answering their questions while walking with the disciples.

The disciples ask Jesus in Matthew 24:3 three questions, 1) When will the destruction of the temple happen, 2) What will be the sign of your parousia, and 3) The end of the age. He answers the first question by telling them that they themselves will be martyred. Those who endure to the end of their lives will be saved. Then Jesus says the gospel must be preached in all nations, then the end will come. Jesus says to look for what Daniel prophesied because that is when the temple will be destroyed. When that all starts to happen (around 70 AD) get out of the city. We know that the disciples, as recorded in Acts, prepared by selling everything and leaving ahead of the destruction. Jesus also says those days would be shortened, as in the devil would not be allowed to inspire this military campaign for a long period of time.
Now after the destruction of the temple, there will be a time of false prophets and teachers who will say Jesus is on earth ready for the parousia, the Day of the Lord, but don’t be fooled because Jesus won’t be in one place. He will be so visible to the whole earth, it will be like lightning. That will be the parousia. Not a hidden event, where one guy claims Jesus is here or there, and showing false signs and wonders. The earth will not see Jesus again until the Jews say “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord” Matthew 23:39. Then the Day of the Lord will happen. Jesus says that wherever the dead bodies are, the eagles will gather. Dead bodies, whose dead bodies? Those who reject the beast and his mark.

Jesus gives them a warning to not be deceived.

Jesus says many will come in His name. There are people in all ages claiming to be the Messiah. So don’t be fooled by them. Then there are people who say they believe in Jesus the Messiah but they teach something different. Don’t be fooled by them. Then there are people who say they believe on Jesus Messiah, they elevate themselves and want to rule and reign over the laity. They may be correct ninety percent of the time. Don’t be fooled by them. In other words, even if you love your pastor, do not put your pastor ahead of Jesus in your life. Even if your pastor is the greatest pastor ever, Jesus is first. Therefore if Jesus tells you to do something, do it. Even if your pastor says something different. The pastor may agree Jesus is Messiah, but the pastor may not be tracking with Jesus for your life. Follow Jesus Messiah first.
Jesus then says that you will hear of wars.

“But about to hear war hearing warfare, discern, not disturbed, it is necessary for come into being and not yet it the fulfillment.”
Jesus says they will hear war and hearing warfare. Why is there war and warfare? There is a god of this world who wants men to fight men. The evil world ruler of darkness twists men’s minds to kill themselves off. As we live in our age nothing has changed. War does not mean it is the fulfillment or end of the age. Even if we go through a nuclear war between nations, it is not the end of the age. There are many benchmarks that have to come to pass before we are at the end of the age.
What a nuclear war does is cut down the population, and whoever dies meets Jesus, who has the keys to death and hades. The people who live will suffer. The dynamics of the countries impacted will weaken them but it is not the end. The political changes of nations are not a barometer to the harpazo or the Day of the Lord, even if there is a one world government. If we make a mental note of the benchmarks that have to come to pass we will not be fooled

The Israelites were spread out over the entire globe. After several events like famine, captivity, lack of resources, or wars, many Israelites moved before the northern kingdom went into captivity. People moved to other regions and nations constantly mixing genetically with other nations. After the southern kingdom went into captivity there were more people dispersed. If we remember, Peter went to Babylon to minister the good news to the Jews living in Babylon. Why were Jews there? Some never returned to Israel. The same is true for those in the northern kingdom, some just did not return. In a way, this was for the protection of Jacob’s lineage. By the time period of the Spanish inquisition, many Jews left Spain and headed for the Americas where people found other Jews of their own former tribes living comfortably and speaking the Hebraic languages in the jungles. Imagine in the 1500’s finding a bunch of Jews living deep in the jungles of South America and speaking to them in what the Spanish Jews would consider an ancient language, and finding out that they have been there for many generations. No, the Jews did not all return to Israel after the Balfour Declaration of 1917. Many didn’t start to return until after WWI and WWll. Even though some people did go to re-establish themselves in Israel, many did not. It is also true that after multiple generations in different nations, no one knew their ancestry was from Israel. Zephaniah says that no matter where they come from they will come back to Israel for the millennial kingdom and will all speak the same language.
Zep 3:9 For then will I turn to the peoples a tongue for her generation, that all may call on the name of the Lord, to serve him under one yoke.
Zep 3:10 From the boundaries of the rivers of Ethiopia will I receive my dispersed ones; they shall offer sacrifices to me.
Zep 3:11 In that day thou shalt not be ashamed of all thy practices, wherein thou hast transgressed against me: for then will I take away from thee thy disdainful pride, and thou shalt no more magnify thyself upon my holy mountain.
Zep 3:12 And I will leave in thee a meek and lowly people;
Zep 3:13 and the remnant of Israel shall fear the name of the Lord, and shall do no iniquity, neither shall they speak vanity; neither shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth: for they shall feed, and lie down, and there shall be none to terrify them.
People will return after Jesus and his armies remove His enemies from the earth. They haven’t been able to practice true Judaism as there hasn’t been a temple in Israel or anywhere else for two thousand years.
Mic 5:7 And the remnant of Jacob shall be among the Gentiles in the midst of many peoples, as dew falling from the Lord, and as lambs on the grass; that none may assemble nor resist among the sons of men.
Mic 5:8 And the remnant of Jacob shall be among the Gentiles in the midst of many nations, as a lion in the forest among cattle, and as a lion's whelp among the flocks of sheep, even as when he goes through, and selects, and carries off his prey, and there is none to deliver.
The remnant of Jacob will be among the Gentiles. After four thousand years of dispersions, many people don’t even know they are an heir of Jacob. Anyone of us could be of Jacob and not know it. It is also interesting to note that many heirs of Jacob have received Jesus as their Lord and Savior and believe that he rose up on the third day. Some of the Jews traveled a year and a half to get to another land called Arsareth/Arsereth.
During the time of the two witnesses on the earth there will be 144,000 virgin young males who will follow Enoch and Elijah. Because these individuals will be virgins who have never lied, they will come from all over the earth, to follow the two witnesses for three and one half years. They will be marked and not harmed. After the two witnesses are killed and rise up on the third day, and Jesus is coronated, Jesus will come back to earth to harpazo the 144,000 young virgin males who have not lied, and they will follow Jesus where ever he goes. These 12,000 from each of the twelve tribes are not in Israel, but all over the earth, hidden until the proper time.
2Es 13:45 For through that country there was a great way to go, namely, of a year and a half: and the same region is called Arsareth.
2Es 13:46 Then dwelt they there until the latter time; and now when they shall begin to come,
2Es 13:47 The Highest shall stay the springs of the stream again, that they may go through: therefore sawest thou the multitude with peace.
2Es 13:48 But those that be left behind of thy people are they that are found within my borders.
2Es 13:49 Now when he destroyeth the multitude of the nations that are gathered together, he shall defend his people that remain.
2Es 13:50 And then shall he shew them great wonders.
The people who are dispersed in Arsareth/Arsereth will come back to Israel. They may not know that they are heirs of Jacob, but Jesus knows. We can all trace our genealogy but the truth is we do not really know if we are heirs of Jacob. Maybe our ancestors stayed in Egypt and did not leave. Or maybe they were from the tribe of Dan who left at the exodus and went to Carthage, Greece, and then on to the the British Isles. It could be that our ancestors left Israel during the time of the Judges. We know Dan went out in ships. Naomi’s family went to Moab. Maybe our ancestors went into one of the captivities and never left. Or maybe they went to Spain, or Asia Minor, at the time of the first century after the destruction of the temple. People did not just stay in one place as we have been incorrectly led to believe, because there was nothing there for them.

It was better for the heirs of Jacob to be scattered rather than stay in one place. Abraham learned of Yahweh from Noah and Shem/Melchizedek. He taught Isaac, who also went to Shem’s school in Jerusalem. Jacob served Yahweh in the tents of Shem until he was fifty years old. Jacob’s heirs lost their way. But Yahweh will bring them back at the end of the Day of the Lord.
What is going to take place after the Day of the Lord? The heirs of Jacob will be gathered to Jerusalem, some on flying ships, and some by walking. The millennial reign of Jesus Messiah from Jerusalem will take place. These are the last days, meaning the age of the millennial kingdom is the last age before the new heaven and new earth. Humans that live during the millennial kingdom will have a chance to accept Jesus as Lord, King, and Messiah. There will be no demons attacking humans. Satanas and Drakōn will not hinder the people of earth. However there will still be sin. There will be judges, and judgments will be immediate. There will be sacrifices in the millennial temple. There will be education and instruction in the ways of Yahweh Elohim. The people will worship in the ways of Yahweh Elohim. Think this through. We will not have hundreds of religions and hundreds of denominations. No one will have their own way of worshipping or their own special secret teachings and their own ministry. Whatever the kings and priests do, it will be done according to Yahweh Elohim.
There will be no compromises allowing idolatry in the temple. There will be no worship of the moon and stars in the temple. There will be no booths for male and female prostitutes in the temple. There will be no child sacrifices in the temple. There will be no other gods in the temple.
Isa 2:1 (Brenton) The word which came to Esaias the son of Amos concerning Judea, and concerning Jerusalem.
Isa 2:2 For in the last days the mountain of the Lord shall be glorious, and the house of God shall be on the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall come to it.
Isa 2:3 And many nations shall go and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will tell us his way, and we will walk in it: for out of Sion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord out of Jerusalem.
Isa 2:4 And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plow-shares, and their spears into sickles: and nation shall not take up sword against nation, neither shall they learn to war any more.
Isa 2:5 And now, O house of Jacob, come, and let us walk in the light of the Lord.
Yahweh will judge among the nations and rebuke or convict many people. This is their last chance to decide for eternity where they will go. But notice that the nations will say ‘let’s learn Yahweh’s ways’. The nations want to worship Yahweh. The nations will learn alongside the Jews, there will not be a separate place for people of different nationalities to learn. The priests of Melchizedek, the Zedek’s, will minister in the temple and teach the people.
The words for “beat” their swords is the word “welded”, συγκόψουσι. They won’t be using archaic methods of building, they will be using modern technologies. Maybe technologies we haven’t even developed yet. Reusing metals and making new ways to farm will be the priority for people. The people can only work for their own foods when they are living in peace. There will be no global corporations pushing people to use their fertilizer products that are harmful to humans and animals. There will be no genetically modified seeds being pushed on people and no one will sow tares among the wheat.
One of the things the Watchers were rebuked for was teaching war to humans. Once people learned how to make weapons and organize to fight, the warfare never stopped. But in the millennial kingdom people will not learn war. There will be no department of defense. There will be no military. There will be no strategists and secret agencies planning and plotting to overtake different nations. There will be no need for walls and borders because the people will have different hearts. They will have new hearts. Today we wistfully think that everyone is good and kind but we know that it is not the case, as there are demons, and Satanas, influencing evil on the earth. However in the millennial kingdom people will not have evil intent or if they do it will be dealt with quickly. This is such a different lifestyle and one we all wish we could have today. They will learn war no more.
Micah repeats this prophecy. It could have been a well known prophecy among the prophets, one which everyone knew.
Mic 4:1 And at the last days the mountain of the Lord shall be manifest, established on the tops of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and the peoples shall hasten to it.
Mic 4:2 And many nations shall go, and say, Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and they shall shew us his way, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Sion shall go forth a law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.
Mic 4:3 And he shall judge among many peoples, and shall rebuke strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into ploughshares, and their spears into sickles; and nation shall no more lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn to war any more.
Mic 4:4 And every one shall rest under his vine, and every one under his fig-tree; and there shall be none to alarm them: for the mouth of the Lord Almighty has spoken these words.
Mic 4:5 For all other nations shall walk everyone in his own way, but we will walk in the name of the Lord our God for ever and ever.
Micah says that people will rest under their own vines and fig trees. No one rests outside. No one would trust that while they were sleeping someone wouldn’t harm them but Micah says that no one will frighten the one resting.
Jol 3:17 (Brenton) And ye shall know that I am the Lord your God, who dwell in Sion my holy mountain: and Jerusalem shall be holy, and strangers shall not pass through her anymore.
Jol 3:18 And it shall come to pass in that day that the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the fountains of Juda shall flow with water, and a fountain shall go forth of the house of the Lord, and water the valley of flags.
Jol 3:19 Egypt shall be a desolation, and Idumea shall be a desolate plain, because of the wrongs of the children of Juda, because they have shed righteous blood in their land.
Jol 3:20 But Judea shall be inhabited for ever, and Jerusalem to all generations.
Jol 3:21 And I will make inquisition for their blood, and will by no means leave it unavenged: and the Lord shall dwell in Sion.
Zion will be a wonderful place. Mount Zion will have a sanctuary.
Oba 1:15 For the day of the Lord is near upon all the Gentiles: as thou have done, so shall it be done to thee: thy recompense shall be returned on thine own head.
Oba 1:16 For as thou hast drunk upon my holy mountain, so shall all the nations drink wine; they shall drink, and go down, and be as if they were not.
Oba 1:17 But on mount Sion there shall be deliverance, and there shall be a sanctuary; and the house of Jacob shall take for an inheritance those that took them for an inheritance.
Oba 1:18 And the house of Jacob shall be fire, and the house of Joseph a flame, and the house of Esau shall be for stubble; and Israel shall flame forth against them, and shall devour them, and there shall not be a corn-field left to the house of Esau; because the Lord has spoken.
We see here that as Jacob’s heirs return they will no longer call Yahweh, Baalim. Yahweh is not suggesting they are being mean or disrespectful, but because they were scattered, they called Yahweh Baal. Depending on what nation they lived in, they called the “Elohim” something in that nations language. After several generations, they didn’t know any different.
Hos 2:16 (Brenton) And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord, that she shall call me, My husband, and shall no longer call me Baalim.
Hos 2:17 And I will take away the names of Baalim out of her mouth, and their names shall be remembered no more at all.
Hos 2:18 And I will make for them in that day a covenant with the wild beasts of the field, and with the birds of the sky, and with the reptiles of the earth: and I will break the bow and the sword and the battle from off the earth, and will cause thee to dwell safely.
Hos 2:19 And I will betroth thee to myself for ever; yea, I will betroth thee to myself in righteousness, and in judgment, and in mercy, and in tender compassions;
Hos 2:20 and I will betroth thee to myself in faithfulness: and thou shalt know the Lord.
Hos 2:21 And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord, I will hearken to the heaven, and it shall hearken to the earth;
Hos 2:22 and the earth shall hearken to the corn, and the wine, and the oil; and they shall hearken to Jezrael.
Hos 2:23 And I will sow her to me on the earth; and will love her that was not loved, and will say to that which was not my people, Thou art my people; and they shall say, Thou art the Lord my God.
The point we have to come away with here is that Yahweh will love Israel, and Israel will love Yahweh. It is important to realize that being loved will change people. Most children act out if they do not feel loved. When they become adults they struggle with relationships because they do not know what it is to be loved or to love. Some people even act out against others. Being loved solves many emotional crisis in a chaotic world. Yahweh will love his people and they will love him.
Isa 35:1 Be glad, thou thirsty desert: let the wilderness exult, and flower as the lily.
Isa 35:2 And the desert places of Jordan shall blossom and rejoice; the glory of Libanus has been given to it, and the honour of Carmel; and my people shall see the glory of the Lord, and the majesty of God.
Isa 35:3 Be strong, ye relaxed hands and palsied knees.
Isa 35:4 Comfort one another, ye fainthearted; be strong, fear not; behold, our God renders judgment, and he will render it; he will come and save us.
Isa 35:5 Then shall the eyes of the blind be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall hear.
Isa 35:6 Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the stammerers shall speak plainly; for water has burst forth in the desert, and a channel of water in a thirsty land.
Isa 35:7 And the dry land shall become pools, and a fountain of water shall be poured into the thirsty land; there shall there be a joy of birds, ready habitations and marshes.
Isa 35:8 There shall be there a pure way, and it shall be called a holy way; and there shall not pass by there any unclean person, neither shall there be there an unclean way; but the dispersed shall walk on it, and they shall not go astray.
Isa 35:9 And there shall be no lion there, neither shall any evil beast go up upon it, nor at all be found there; but the redeemed and gathered on the Lord's behalf, shall walk in it,
Isa 35:10 and shall return, and come to Sion with joy, and everlasting joy shall be over their head; for on their head shall be praise and exultation, and joy shall take possession of them: sorrow and pain, and groaning have fled away.
All healing will take place in the millennial kingdom. Emotional healing physical healing, mental healing. There will also be spiritual healing. We don’t think about spiritual healing but Yahweh will heal his people spiritually, where they were blinded, where they were misled, where they were lied to, all spiritual healing will take place and people will see the glory of Yahweh and his majesty. This is a highway of holiness. The redeemed and gathered will walk in it. There won’t be any sadness or sorrow but praise, exultation, and joy.
Isa 62:1 For Sion's sake I will not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until her righteousness go forth as light, and my salvation burn as a torch.
Isa 62:2 And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and kings thy glory: and one shall call thee by a new name, which the Lord shall name.
Isa 62:3 And thou shalt be a crown of beauty in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.
Isa 62:4 And thou shalt no more be called Forsaken; and thy land shall no more be called Desert: for thou shalt be called My Pleasure, and thy land Inhabited: for the Lord has taken pleasure in thee, and thy land shall be inhabited.
Isa 62:5 And as a young man lives with a virgin, so shall thy sons dwell in thee: and it shall come to pass that as a bridegroom will rejoice over a bride, so will the Lord rejoice over thee.
Isa 62:6 And on thy walls, O Jerusalem, have I set watchmen all day and all night, who shall never cease making mention of the Lord.
Isa 62:7 For there is none like you, when he shall have established, and made Jerusalem a praise on the earth.
Isa 62:8 For the Lord has sworn by his glory, and by the might of his arm, I will no more give thy corn and thy provisions to thine enemies; nor shall strangers any more drink thy wine, for which thou has laboured.
Isa 62:9 But they that have gathered them shall eat them, and they shall praise the Lord; and they that have gathered the grapes shall drink thereof in my holy courts.
Isa 62:10 Go through my gates, and make a way for my people; and cast the stones out of the way; lift up a standard for the Gentiles.
Isa 62:11 For behold, the Lord has proclaimed to the end of the earth, say ye to the daughter of Sion, Behold, thy Saviour has come to thee, having his reward and his work before his face.
Isa 62:12 And one shall call them the holy people, the redeemed of the Lord: and thou shalt be called a city sought out, and not forsaken.
The millennial kingdom will be a place of healing and nurturing. Today we worship Yahweh Elohim, we pray, we sing, we rejoice in Him. Israel however does not have this relationship with Yahweh if they are bound to Judaism. There is no temple, there is no remission of sins. We know that by Jesus’ blood we have been forgiven and redeemed, but today’s Jews, unless they believe Jesus is the Messiah, are going to die in their sins. It is a strange thing to cling to the law when the law cannot be satisfied without a temple.
Isa 66:20 And they shall bring your brethren out of all nations for a gift to the Lord with horses, and chariots, in litters drawn by mules with awnings, to the holy city Jerusalem, said the Lord, as though the children of Israel should bring their sacrifices to me with psalms into the house of the Lord.
Isa 66:21 And I will take of them priests and Levites, saith the Lord.
Isa 66:22 For as the new heaven and the new earth, which I make, remain before me, saith the Lord, so shall your seed and your name continue.
Isa 66:23 And it shall come to pass from month to month, and from sabbath to sabbath, that all flesh shall come to worship before me in Jerusalem, saith the Lord.
Isa 66:24 And they shall go forth, and see the carcasses of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, and their fire shall not be quenched; and they shall be a spectacle to all flesh.
Not only are people returning to Jerusalem in flying ships (Isaiah 11) and walking where there had been water, they will be taking horses, chariots, and covered chariots. They will bring sacrifices. Yahweh is looking ahead to the new heaven and new earth. He wants His people to remain forever. As people come to worship in Jerusalem they will see the fire pit with dead bodies of people that were killed on the Day of the Lord. The fires will burn for a long time.
We can day dream of a wonderful place to live under the rule of Jesus Messiah/Yahweh Elohim. We can take comfort and have hopeful expectation that no matter what takes place on the earth we will enjoy one thousand years without demons, Satanas, or Drakōn. It will be a time period that no one would want to miss if they knew it was available to them. Therefore every time there is a war and a rumor of war we can tell our friends and family that even though this is the state of our world today, that there is a time coming on the earth that will be glorious. There will be healing; physical healing, emotional healing, mental healing, and spiritual healing. There will be higher learning. There will be beneficial technologies. There will be safety and security. Children will be able to play outside without fear or worry. Nighttime will not bring crime but peace and serenity. Our King over all the kings on earth and our Lord over all the lords on the earth loves us. He wants us to be His. He gave his life for us, and we will spend one thousand years preparing for a new heaven and new earth.
