Sabaoth; The Hosts; Flying Serpents; Lord of the Armies; The Image and Likeness

Who are the Elohim? Why are we told by Hosea, and twice by Jesus, that we are to have discernment and recognition of the Elohim? It may not be clear to us who it is that we are to know about. There have been so many misinformation campaigns launched by religious groups to control people, that we have ended up not being able to understand Hosea 6:6. Why would anyone want to hide the truth? What is the cost of not knowing the truth? We wonder why people that we read about like David and Paul were so intense. We don’t understand what they knew, and consequently we don’t understand why they fought for humanity the way they did. Think about how harsh Stephen was, calling out the religious rulers with truth just before they killed him. If we are to win our generation for Jesus Christ, we have to understand the things that they did, in light of the information that they had. Once we understand who and what we are dealing with, we can pray like David prayed. We can teach like Paul taught. We can win our generation once we understand what has been stolen and hidden from us. Let’s explore Lord God Sabaoth, and see if we can add to our knowledge of the Elohim.

Yahweh says that he would rather we have full knowledge, discernment, recognition, precise and correct knowledge, of the Elohim. What is the Elohim? The word Elohim in Greek is Theos, a plural meaning “gods or deities”. In the Hebrew, Elohim, which is also a plural word, means “gods”. The singular word for Elohim is ‘ĕlôahh , deity, or ‘êl, almighty. Using the “im” at the end of a Hebrew word makes a word plural. In Hebrew, words are singular, meaning one; dual, meaning two; and plural meaning three or more. In Greek, as in English, words are only singular and plural. When we see “im” we see three or more, such as cherub or cherubim, seraph or seraphim, ophan or ophanim, goy or goyim, and Nephil or Nephilim. The word Elohim means gods, deities, magistrates, judges, or in our vernacular, presidents, governors, rulers. God is not a name, it is a title. We can call someone “President” but usually we define or clarify one individual with a surname. 

With that in mind, we have Yahweh telling us to have a full knowledge of Gods, Elohim. Who are the Elohim as compared to Yahweh Elohim? In the beginning, the Elohim made the heaven and the earth and the Spirit of Elohim bore upon the water. It may be the way we were taught, that in the story of creation, was one individual named God who was doing all the creating. Yet we see the very word Elohim indicates more than thee beings. So the Elohim did the creating, and as Proverbs 8 tells us, the Holy Spirit, also known as the Spirit of Wisdom, was helping too.

Yahweh made the Spirit of Wisdom before his ancient activity commenced. The Holy Spirit was a craftsman. 

The Elohim said let us make man according to (kata, downward) our image and according to (kata, downward) our likeness, Genesis 1:26. We humans are created in the image and likeness of the gods, and it was a downward image, meaning our image came from above, downward, to the first man, the adam. We were not made as a result of evolution from apes. The devil, the one who sports, pricks, and goads us, would like you to believe we were an accidental formation. It is certainly easier to murder others who are of a low life form, including infants in utero, in the matrix, if we believe that we evolved from something a worm threw up. Start seeing yourself as an Elohim. 

Humans are called Elohim. Humans are not the highest gods, but humans are gods over the earth, the animals, and are gods over demons. We have authority over spiritual beings that affect us, such as principalities, powers, etc. We do not have authority over spiritual beings that are commissioned by Yahweh. Notice what Jesus said. 

 Joh 10:33  The Jews answered him, "We are not going to stone you for a good action, but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, are making yourself God!"
Joh 10:34  Jesus replied to them, "Is it not written in your Law, 'I said, "You are gods"'?
Joh 10:35  If he called those to whom a message from God came 'gods' (and the Scripture cannot be disregarded),
Joh 10:36  how can you say to the one whom the Father has consecrated and sent into the world, 'You are blaspheming,' because I said, 'I am the Son of God’?

Jesus always had a trick question for the Jews. The word “law” here is the word nomos, meaning “regulations, or divine law”, not necessarily Mosaic law. Jesus is saying, ‘isn’t it written in your regulations or customs You are gods?’. Yes it is, Asaph wrote it. In fact, when we read what Asaph wrote, it seems to be a rebuke to the Elohim for not judging the righteous in a good judgment. Technically, Asaph is writing to the judges of his day. It seems the unrighteous were getting lenient judgments. Asaph says that the Elohim stands in the assembly of Elohims, and in the middle of the Elohims will judge. He is essentially saying that there is a higher Elohim, so you better listen to me.

Psa 82:1  A Psalm for Asaph. God stands in the assembly of gods; and in the midst of them will judge gods.
Psa 82:2  How long will ye judge unrighteously, and accept the persons of sinners? Pause.
Psa 82:3  Judge the orphan and poor: do justice to the low and needy.
Psa 82:4  Rescue the needy, and deliver the poor out of the hand of the sinner.
Psa 82:5  They know not, nor understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth shall be shaken.
Psa 82:6  I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you children of the Most High.
Psa 82:7  But ye die as men, and fall as one of the princes.
Psa 82:8  Arise, O God, judge the earth: for thou shalt inherit all nations.

Asaph says to the judges of his day that they are Elohims and they are the children of the Most High. However they will die like men because their “god” status is only among men. They are rulers and judges over other men. Asaph then says to the heavenly Elohim to arise or stand up, because the Elohim are the Elohim over all the nations, goyim. The goyim are the inheritance of the Elohim. What does that mean? Are we not going to judge angels?  

I Corinthians 6:3 G3756 Do you not G1492 know G3754 that G32 [2angels G2919 1we shall judge]? G3385 how much more G1065 indeed G982 of the cares of life? 

Paul says sarcastically that if the Corinthians can’t even judge the matters of life now, how will they be capable of judging angels. We are the inheritance of the Elohim. We judge them, and they receive an inheritance. Isn’t that what Jesus’ manifold wisdom was all about? Humans, the newest and less powerful of the created beings will be the judges of the other, older, more powerful angels? What will the Elohim be judged on? David helps us here.

Did the Elohim help? Did they deliver the righteous who are straight in heart? In Psalms 18 David clearly shows us Yahweh and the Elohim.

Yahweh is David’s foundation and refuge. The Elohim is David’s helper, defender, horn of deliverance, and shielder. David calls to Yahweh, and the Elohim deliver David. Yahweh and the Elohim hear David’s voice from the temple. The sons of Korah have something similar to say.

The Elohim is a shielder, yet at this time the Elohim seem to have forgotten the sons of Korah. The enemies mock them, “where is your Elohim?” The sons of Korah declare to hope upon the Elohim. The Elohim are deliverers. 

Notice what David says to Goliath.

is the transliteration of a Hebrew word which denotes hosts" or "armies," Romans 9:29; James 5:4. While the word "hosts" probably had special reference to angels, the title "the Lord of hosts" became used to designate Him as the One who is supreme over all the innumerable hosts of spiritual agencies, or of what are described as "the armies of heaven." Eventually it was used as equivalent to "the Lord all-sovereign." In the prophetical books of the OT the Sept. sometimes has Kurios Sabaoth as the equivalent of "the LORD of hosts," sometimes Kurios Pantokrator, in Job, it uses Pantokrator to render the Hebrew Divine title Shadday (See ALMIGHTY). 

David says that he comes to the Philistine in the name of Yahweh Elohim Sabaoth. That is quite a name. Yahweh is the Elohim of the host, the angel armies. This word sabaōth is very interesting. Samuel uses this word four times. However it is Isaiah who predominately uses this word, fifty five times. Isaiah lived over three hundred years after David and Samuel. Isaiah as a prophet sees Yahweh as having preeminence over the armies of Elohim. Now just to keep in mind, one third of the angels are in a fallen state, meaning they will be cast down to earth during the tribulation for judgment. So there are fallen Elohim and Elohim that are serving Yahweh. 

Isaiah uses this idea of Yahweh Tsâbâ' (sabaoth) when describing a vision that he had of the seraphim.

Isaiah saw that Yahweh was seated on a lofty throne, raised up, and the dwelling replete, or abundantly filled, with glory or renown.

The seraphim are fiery beings with six wings. They cover their faces and feet denoting humility and respect. The Hebrew sometimes translates seraphim as saraph, which means “burning”; calling some serpents “fiery serpents”. This is why in modern times people think of them as fiery serpents. 

Enoch can give us some information as to the heavenly host, the armies of the Lord. 

Secrets of Enoch XX.
Hence they took Enoch into the Seventh Heaven.
AND those two men lifted me up thence on to the seventh Heaven, and I saw there a very great light, and fiery troops of great archangels, incorporeal forces, and dominions, orders and governments, cherubim and seraphim, thrones and many-eyed ones, nine regiments, the Ioanit stations of light, and I became afraid, and began to tremble with great terror, and those men took me, and led me after them, and said to me:
2 'Have courage, Enoch, do not fear,' and showed me the Lord from afar, sitting on His very high throne. For what is there on the tenth heaven, since the Lord dwells here?
3 On the tenth heaven is God, in the Hebrew tongue he is called Aravat.
4 And all the heavenly troops would come and stand on the ten steps according to their rank, and would bow down to the Lord, and would again go to their places in joy and felicity, singing songs in the boundless light with small and tender voices, gloriously serving him.


Enoch describes twelve different orders of beings. They stand on the ten steps according to their rank. For understanding, the satan is an incorporeal being. He is non-physical, he is air, aether, fire, and light. He disguises himself as an angel of light, but he is not an angel, but incorporeal. The many-eyed ones may be the Ophanim, the beings that transported the glory from the temple, called “wheels with eyes”. 


Secrets of Enoch XXI.
Of how the angels here left Enoch, at the end of the seventh Heaven, and went away from him unseen.
AND the cherubim and seraphim standing about the throne, the six-winged and many-eyed ones do not depart, standing before the Lord's face doing his will, and cover his whole throne, singing with gentle voice before the Lord's face: 'Holy, holy, holy, Lord Ruler of Sabaoth, heavens and earth are full of Thy glory.'
2 When I saw all these things, those men said to me: 'Enoch, thus far is it commanded us to journey with thee,' and those men went away from me and thereupon I saw them not.
3 And I remained alone at the end of the seventh heaven and became afraid, and fell on my face and said to myself: 'Woe is me, what has befallen me?'


Enoch and Isaiah had the same experience, in that they both realized how small and corrupt they were in comparison to Lord Ruler Sabaoth and his beings. Enoch then wrote some things for his children. It amounted to three hundred and sixty five books. This is part of the instructions left for future generations. 


Secrets of Enoch LII.
God instructs his faithful. how they are to praise his name.
BLESSED is the man who opens his lips in praise of God of Sabaoth and praises the Lord with his heart.
2 Cursed every man who opens his lips for the bringing into contempt and calumny of his neighbour, because he brings God into contempt.
3 Blessed is he who opens his lips blessing and praising God.
4 Cursed is he before the Lord all the days of his life, who opens his lips to curse and abuse.
5 Blessed is he who blesses all the Lord's works.
6 Cursed is he who brings the Lord's creation into contempt.
7 Blessed is he who looks down and raises the fallen.
8 Cursed is he who looks to and is eager for the destruction of what is not his.
9 Blessed is he who keeps the foundations of his fathers made firm from the beginning.
10 Cursed is he who perverts the decrees of his forefathers.
11 Blessed is he who implants peace and love.
12 Cursed is he who disturbs those that love their neighbours.
13 Blessed is he who speaks with humble tongue and heart to all.
14 Cursed is he who speaks peace with his. tongue, while in his heart there is no peace but a sword.
15 For all these things will be laid bare in the weighing-scales and in the books, on the day of the great judgement.

All these things, all behaviors, will be weighed and balanced. Praise Lord Ruler Sabaoth! Yahweh of the angel armies. We use “angel” as a generic term, but notice that Enoch had called them “men”. Those angels who look like men are who the human race was created after, in the image of those Elohim. 

Isaiah goes on.

Isaiah saw the Lord of Hosts with his own eyes. Not only is he seeing seraphim, he is also seeing Yahweh Elohim Sabaoth. It is no wonder Isaiah uses this term so often. Isaiah was a prophet and spiritual warrior for Yahweh. As we know, there are many different callings from the Lord, and Isaiah was someone who saw the spiritual battle. He was probably intensely bold and direct, as compared to someone who is quiet and soft
spoken.

I imagine that most people who hear Yahweh asking who to send to the Israelites would hide under a rock and become as small as possible. Remember Jonah? He started sailing to Spain. But with all boldness, Isaiah calls Yahweh, I Am, and says, send me. Yahweh I Am says go. When Isaiah sees the I AM he realizes how unclean he is, but by the coal from the altar, he was made clean for the presentation and took the assignment. We too have to be made clean before we can take the assignment of Yahweh Elohim Sabaoth.  

Isaiah uses the term Yahweh Sabaoth in chapter 14. We might have been so caught up in the first part of the chapter that we missed a great detail in the last part of the chapter. In the context of the satan, who is called the “king of babylon”, we see Isaiah telling us that the giants who ruled the earth, but are now in hades, will be embittered upon meeting the incorporeal satan in hades. They will ask the satan how he ended up in hades with them. Remember, the giants are heirs of fallen angels who cohabitated with women. The giants saw the satan as powerful since their angelic forefathers were sent to prison and they themselves were half-breeds. But now they say that the satan has a bed of putrefaction and the worm is his covering. Then Isaiah describes how the satan fell. He was never the morning star, the one rising in the morning, he was the evening star falling at night. The satan wanted to be a judge over the other sons of God and put his throne on a high mountain in the sides of the north. Yet because of that he will go into hades at the end of the tribulation. Isaiah says that he will not “abide into the eon of time O evil seed”, 14:20. Yahweh says to the satan to prepare his children to be slain for the sins of their father, the sins of the satan. The children of the satan will not rise up and inherit the earth. Then Yahweh says this:

Isaiah 14:22 G2532 And G1881 I will rise up against G1473 them, G3004 says G2962 the Lord G4519 of Hosts, G2532 and G622 I will destroy G1473 their G3686 name, G2532 and G2640 vestige, G2532 and G4690 seed -- G3592 thus G3004 says G2962 the Lord . 

Yahweh Sabaoth will destroy the wicked seed of the serpent. He will destroy their name and remnant. Understand, in the millennial kingdom the seed of the serpent, the children of the evil satan, will no longer be on the earth. Babylon will become a clay pit of destruction. As we have studied, there will be a desert place for demons during the millennial kingdom. 

To Assyria, Yahweh Sabaoth then says: 

Isaiah 14:24 G3592 Thus G3004 says G2962 the Lord G4519 of Hosts, G3739 In which G5158 manner G2046 I have said, G3779 so G1510.8.3 it will be; G2532 and G3739 in which G5158 manner G1011 I have deliberated, G3779 so G3306 it shall remain

Yahweh sabaoth will remove all the enemies of his children. There will be a time when this will be fulfilled. The tribulation will put all of these things into place and the children of the Lord will live in peace on the earth for one thousand years.

What the holy Elohim planned no one can erase.  No one can change what Yahweh Elohim Sabaoth will do. Isaiah has an oracle from Yahweh for the Philistines. At this time in history, the Philistines, the mixed tribes of the fallen Nephilim, had not risen up against Israel since the time of David. However, their numbers increased over three hundred years and they were coming against the southern kingdom. 

This is Yahweh’s plan for the world. Here is something we may have missed. The seed of the serpent which is usually at war with the seed of the women will be destroyed by a different seed of the serpent, a later progeny.

Isaiah has a word from the Lord. He says to the Philistines ‘don’t be glad mixed races who are heirs of the Nephil, because the Israelites who smote you now has a broken yoke’. There will be another progeny or descendant from the seed of the serpent of coiled asps, and their descendants come out as flying snakes. The flying snakes will destroy the Philistines. In other words, another race of the seed of the evil satan will kill off the first progeny of the satan, the heirs of the fallen angels. These flying asps will be more deadly to the heirs of the Nephilim, but they will not harm the poor. The poor will be fed, but the heirs of the Nephil will starve. What will the rulers of the goyim say? They will say Yahweh laid a foundation in Zion and through Him many people will be delivered. 

This prophecy has some remarkable implications. We see a second progeny come from the satan. The second progeny will have children that will be flying serpents. The first progeny that came to earth from fallen angels became very large warring beings. People noticed their large stature. David worked especially hard to bring down their numbers. The second progeny will not be like the first. The second progeny will have an ability to fly. This tells us that there is an evolutionary progression in the seed of the serpent. The second seed will have technical abilities. People might not notice them. Maybe they will not look remarkably different. Remember Genesis 3:15, there would be hatred between the woman’s seed and the serpents seed. There seems to also be enmity between the serpents own seed. The first seed taught humans to make instruments of war, the second seed has advanced technology to be able to fly.

Our heavenly constellations tell us of a couple of serpent stories. In the constellation of Leo we see that the Lion of the tribe of Judah will crush Hydra the serpent because Crater, the cup of divine wrath, is poured out on him. Then Corvus the bird(s) of prey devour the serpent. In the Constellation of Scorpio we see Ophiuchus has one foot crushing the scorpion while holding back Serpens the serpent from taking the crown. Also in Scorpio we see Hercules has one foot on Draco the dragon and in his hand he holds a three headed serpent called Cerberus who guards the entrance to hades. 

As we see from this brief look at the beings around us we have Elohim who are part fo the heavenly armies of Yahweh. We have a devil, draco, who was created to sport with the angels. We have the satan, an incorporeal being who has two sets of seed. The first seed are the heirs of the Nephilim and the second seed are asps who birth flying serpents. We know that in the future one third of the angels will be cast to earth along with the devil and the satan. Considering that there are so many beings we hardly recognize what we are to do. John gives us a great idea.

The first thing John says is not to believe every spirit. Why? Because one third are fallen, some asps are birthing flying serpents, and the devil’s goal it to trick, prick, goad, and harass us. Not to mention the hatred between the seed of the serpent and the seed of the woman. If we could see all our enemies we might not like it. We are to prove, test, assess, examine, scrutinize, or approve of the spirits, to see if they are of the Elohim of Yahweh. Are they of Yahweh Elohim Sabaoth? The word for false prophet is pseudoprophētēs. It is one word, pseudoprophets. The pseudo-prophets have gone out into the world. The false prophets are the ones feeding the world misinformation.

Every spirit that acknowledges Jesus Christ came to earth in the flesh is from the Elohim. If Isaiah had been living at this time, and he saw the seraphim he might need to ask if they believe that Jesus came in the flesh.

An antichristos is an opponent of Christ. That would mean there are opponents of Christ who are spirits, as well as pseudo-prophets. However we are of the Elohim.

Children of the Elohim have overcome the antichrist spirits, and the antichrist pseudo-prophets. To overcome means we subdue them, we conquer them, we prevail over them, we are victorious over them, and we win our judicial case against them. Why? Because mega is the one in you. Who is in you? It is Christ in you, the hope of glory. It is Yahweh Elohim Sabaoth within us. The anointed one who rose up on the third day resides within us. Therefore, we have the victory. We are created in the image of the Elohim.

Hosea wrote that a full knowledge of the Elohim is better than burnt offerings. Who is our deliverer and our shielder? Who ministers to us, as Hebrews asks? We may not have been taught that there are more beings in the universe, but we can clearly see that there are many different types of beings that were created before humanity. Our image is the image of angels. Our likeness is the likeness of angels. We are beings who overcome the fallen sons of God.
