Earthly and Heavenly Foreshadows; Holy Convocation; First-Born in Heaven; The Number Registered

There are many secrets and mysteries in the Bible that we are meant to search out. When we have to dig for answers then we put time and energy into learning. This is for our benefit. If we throw up our hands, shrug, and give up, then we’ll never learn. If we do not learn then we do not grow up in Yahweh. This is why some things seem like secrets and mysteries.  In the Bible we have foreshadowing. We have parallels. We have some things explained several different ways and other things only once. We also have the phrase “On earth as it is in heaven” which tells us of another aspect of learning. As we have been revisiting the Day of Redemption, we see two places, on earth and in heaven, Zion and Jerusalem. We see these places connecting to the kingdom of the Elohim and the kingdom of heaven. We also see an event that was a foreshadow of a future event. Within that study we also have some very specific titles, such as the “first-born in heaven”. We also notice that the angels are preparing a celebration for the church. Let’s explore.

The writer of Hebrews speaks of the Holy Convocation, comparing it to our Day of Redemption. The original meeting of Yahweh with the Israelites was in the desert at Sinai. Yahweh came to meet with them after their exodus. Hebrews recounts this incident.

https://musingsofawinsomeheart.blogspot.com/2019/05/holy-convocation-month-of-immortalities.html

Hebrews 12:18 G3756 [3not G1063 1For G4334 2you have] come forward to G5584 [2being handled G3735 1 the mountain] G2532 and G2545 being kindled G4442 with fire, G2532 and G1105 to dimness, G2532 and G4655 to darkness, G2532 and G2366 to storm,

  19 G2532 and G4536 to the trumpet's G2279 sound, G2532 and G5456 to the voice G4487 of utterances, G3739 of which G3588 the ones G191 hearing G3868 asked pardon G3361 [2to not G4369 3proceed G1473 4to them G3056 1 for the word];

Paul and this writer of Hebrews tells us that the harpazo is a parallel to the Holy Convocation of meeting with Yahweh at mount Sinai. We have darkness, thunders, fire, storms, trumpets, and voices. Yahweh tells Moses to prepare the people. We are supposed to be prepared just like the five wise virgins. We in the Body of Christ are supposed to fully grasp this subject and teach it otherwise we are not prepared.

Exo 19:11 (Brenton) And let them be ready against the third day, for on the third day the Lord will descend upon mount Sina before all the people.

Exo 19:12  And thou shalt separate the people round about, saying, Take heed to yourselves that ye go not up into the mountain, nor touch any part of it: every one that touches the mountain shall surely die.

Exo 19:13  A hand shall not touch it, for every one that touches shall be stoned with stones or shot through with a dart, whether beast or whether man, it shall not live: when the voices and trumpets and cloud depart from off the mountain, they shall come up on the mountain.

Hebrews 12:20 G3756 [2they could not G5342 3bear G1063 1for] G3588 the G1291 giving of orders, saying, G2579 And if G2342 a beast G2345 should touch lightly upon G3588 the G3735 mountain, G3036 it shall be stoned, G2228 or G1002 [2an arrow G2700 1shot with].

The people were not supposed to touch the mountain until the voices, trumpets, and clouds, departed from the mountain. Otherwise they were to be stoned or shot with an arrow.

Exo 19:14  (Brenton) And Moses went down from the mountain to the people, and sanctified them, and they washed their clothes.

Exo 19:15  And he said to the people, Be ready: for three days come not near to a woman.

Exo 19:16  And it came to pass on the third day, as the morning drew nigh, there were voices and lightnings and a dark cloud on mount Sina: the voice of the trumpet sounded loud, and all the people in the camp trembled.

Exo 19:17  And Moses led the people forth out of the camp to meet God, and they stood by under the camp.

When the voices, lightnings, and clouds, came on mount Sinai and the voice of the trumpet sounded, the time to go out and meet Yahweh Elohim had come.

Let’s compare this to 1 Thessalonians 4.

1Th 4:16  (ISV) With a shout of command, with the archangel's call, and with the sound of God's trumpet, the Lord himself will come down from heaven, and the dead who belong to the Messiah will rise first.

1Th 4:17  Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up (harpazo/rapiemur) in the clouds together with them to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.

1Th 4:18  So then, encourage one another with these words.

We are to encourage each other and explain that Exodus 19 is a foreshadowing of the harpazo.

Exo 19:18 (Brenton) The mount of Sina was altogether on a smoke, because God had descended upon it in fire; and the smoke went up as the smoke of a furnace, and the people were exceedingly amazed.

Exo 19:19  And the sounds of the trumpet were waxing very much louder. Moses spoke, and God answered him with a voice.

Exo 19:20  And the Lord came down upon mount Sina on the top of the mountain; and the Lord called Moses to the top of the mountain, and Moses went up.

Moses went up. He was called and he went up. When we are called we will go up. Then Yahweh told Moses to go back down and talk to the people. We will also go back down to prepare the earth for Jesus’ reign as King of kings and Lord of lords. I don’t think we will do much talking as Joel has explained our mission at that time. This is another parallel, of going up and going back down.

Hebrews 12:21 G2532 And G3779 so G5398 fearful G1510.7.3 was G3588 the G5324 visible display, G* Moses G2036 said, G1630 I am frightened G1510.2.1   G2532 and G1790 trembling.

Exo 19:25  (Brenton) And Moses went down to the people, and spoke to them.

Exo 20:18 (Brenton) And all the people perceived the thundering, and the flashes, and the voice of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking; and all the people feared and stood afar off,

Exo 20:19  and said to Moses, Speak thou to us, and let not God speak to us, lest we die.

Exo 20:20  And Moses says to them, Be of good courage, for God is come to you to try you, that his fear may be among you, that ye sin not.

Exo 20:21  And the people stood afar off, and Moses went into the darkness where God was.

Moses went up, then he went down, then he went back up again. The people were afraid. I imagine that when the harpazo begins we will all be afraid. The people who are not prepared will be especially afraid. The Israelites should have been inspired by Yahweh visiting them but instead they made a golden calf. As Moses was getting the commands and the covenants and the instructions to the tabernacle, the people thought Moses was dead and made their own god. Are we doing that today? Do we think that Jesus is not going to call us up? Are we making gods? Even in the church some people make fear a god, hammering some idea of punishment coming to everyone in the Body of Christ. Some make a man their god, some make their charitable works their god. We can make a golden calf out of anything, especially when we think that it is taking too long for something to happen, as it was with Moses returning.

The first time Yahweh Elohim called from the clouds the people heard his voice but did not see Him. When we are called up to the clouds we will see Him. The people at Sinai saw the effects of Yahweh’s visit with thunders, lightning, and trumpets. What will the people left on the earth see? We do not know. Similar to when Paul was stopped on the way to Damascus, his companions didn’t see Jesus but they heard thundering and saw light. At the Harpazo people may be aware of something but not understand it all. The comparison of the Holy Convocation is interesting because the writer of Hebrews explains that we are called to mount Zion and the heavenly Jerusalem. There is an earthly Zion and a heavenly Zion and an earthly Jerusalem and a heavenly Jerusalem.

Hebrews 12:22 G235 But G4334 you have come forward G* to mount Zion, G3735   G2532 and G4172 the city G2316 of the living God, G2198   G* heavenly Jerusalem; G2032   G2532 and G3461 to myriads G32 of angels,

  23 G3831 to the festival G2532 and G1577 to the assembly G4416 of the first-born G1722 [2in G3772 3 the heavens G583 1having been registered], G2532 and G2923 to God the judge G2316   G3956 of all, G2532 and G4151 to spirits G1342 of the righteous G5048 having been perfected,

“However come up to Zion mountain and city Elohim Living Jerusalem Heaven and myriad angels festal assembly, and church (ekklēsia) first-born in heaven entered in register, and judge Elohim all and spirit righteous complete.”

Have you gone up to Zion? No. The writer invites us, ‘come up to Zion mountain’. He also says ‘come to the City of the Living Elohim, heavenly Jerusalem’. Who is being invited? The church, the first-born in heaven. Has the church been caught up to heaven yet? No. The writer is inviting us, the church, who will be the first-born in heaven. The church will not be called up until the number is complete and we come to the exact day as Ezra and Paul point out. That tells us that there are no other humans in heaven yet, otherwise the church would not be the first. We are also registered or written off. Written off what? The earth.

The church is the first-born in heaven who have been entered into a register. The word apographō is a compound word apo, “off”, and graphō “write”, literally “off-writen”, translated “write-off, or enroll”. The church has an enrollment in heaven. The off-written saints are the off-first saints, the off-reconciled saints. The spirits of the “righteous complete” tells us the church has to be righteous and completed, hence the number of people coming in, Romans 11:25. We are not waiting for just any people, but for those people who are righteous and complete in Him. The church is the first-born registered in heaven. There is no other church in heaven today. We will be the first and we have all been enrolled if we are righteous. And there will be a party as the angels celebrate us.

Notice that the writer is pointing out that there is a countless multitude of angels in celebration. What are they celebrating? They are celebrating the arrival of the registered citizens to heaven. These are the spirits of the righteous redeemed who have been made perfect. When will we be made perfect? When we put on immortality and incorruption at the sound of the last trumpet. Why are the angels celebrating our arrival being seized, harpazo’d, into heaven? Because it was their mission to lead the flock in that direction.

A festal is a “festival or celebration”. There is a celebration among the angels and the church, (those registered in heaven) and the Elohim. The celebration is over all the spirits of the righteous being made complete. This is a huge deal. It is a party in the heavens. Notice the two places mentioned, one is mount Zion and the other is the City of the Living God also called the heavenly Jerusalem. Just as there is a kingdom of God and a kingdom of heaven, the kingdom of God is mount Zion while the kingdom of heaven is the City of the Living God, heavenly Jerusalem. The writer of Hebrews understands the two places that people will go to at the harpazo. This celebration is about us being made complete and perfect.

https://musingsofawinsomeheart.blogspot.com/2024/08/angels-celebrating-harpazo-partying.html

Jesus tells us is that the word goes out like sowing a field and some do not receive it, but others will produce fruit. We are saved by grace so that if we confess and believe then we are redeemed and marked for the Day of Redemption. While all those who confess and believe are redeemed, not all go to the same place. As we know, there are two places; one is the kingdom of the Elohim and the other is the kingdom of heaven. Both are above the earth. Matthew talks more about what the requirements of the kingdom of heaven are than the other gospel writers, while the other writers talk about the kingdom of God. When we think about the five wise virgins they were prepared and entered into the wedding venue, while the foolish unprepared virgins knocked on the door asking to enter. In another parable a king invited the guests to his sons wedding but no one wanted to come. The kings wedding feast was then opened to all people and those guests were given white garments. When one person tried to sneak in, he was ejected for not having a white garment. So in a quick and simplistic view, oil preparedness and white garments are important for entrance into the kingdom of heaven.

We also know that the scribes and Pharisees shut up the kingdom of heaven for others, but they themselves aren’t entering either. They will be watching other people sitting down to eat with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven. The rich can hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven. Multiplying talents is also an important factor in entering into the kingdom of heaven. The people on the outside will weep and mourn because while they are in the kingdom of God they are not in the kingdom of heaven.

https://musingsofawinsomeheart.blogspot.com/2024/04/weeping-and-gnashing-fear-not-little.html

Hebrews 12:24 G2532 and G1242 [4covenant G3501 3of a new G3316 2 the mediator G* 1Jesus], G2532 and G129 to the blood G4473 of sprinkling, G2908 [2better G2980 1speaking] G3844 than G3588 the one G* of Abel.

Jesus is a new mediator. His sprinkling of his own blood is the price he paid for our sins. Abel’s blood cries out from the ground. Abel’s  bloodshed cries for vengeance, but Jesus’ blood cries for reconciliation for us. Jesus is the mediator. There is no other go-between. No one else we pray to, no one else who paid our ransom.

Hebrews 12:25 G991 Take heed G3361 that you should not G3868 refuse G3588 the one G2980 speaking! G1487 For if G1063   G1565 those G3756 did not G5343 flee escaping, G3588 [2the one G1909 4upon G1093 5earth G3868 1refusing G5537 3receiving a divine message], G4183 how much G3123 more G1473 we G3588 the ones G3588 [2the one G575 3from G3772 4heavens G654 1turning away],

Do not reject Jesus Messiah. Do not refuse to listen to Jesus Messiah. The people in the desert did not escape Yahweh Elohim’s commands, they were accountable for their behavior. If we reject Him then we will be accountable for our own decisions. He will shake the earth again.

Imagine someone who believes in Jesus as Messiah and that he rose up on the third day, yet does not believe that Jesus will call us up, the harpazo. That person then tells lots of other people that Jesus is not going to harpazo us and discourages others from believing in the harpazo. This person continues to proclaim that the church goes through the tribulation, further discouraging people from believing in the harpazo. Now what happens to that person who talked people out of what is written in the Bible given by the Holy Spirit who led holy men to write it? We don’t know for sure but do we want to find out? What if our unbelief and our spreading unbelief deems us ineligible to enter the kingdom of heaven and we end up standing outside knocking and weeping?

Mat 7:21 (ISV) "Not everyone who keeps saying to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will get into the kingdom from heaven, but only the person who keeps doing the will of my Father in heaven.

Mat 7:22  Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, we prophesied in your name, drove out demons in your name, and performed many miracles in your name, didn't we?'

Mat 7:23  Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Get away from me, you who practice evil!'"

The requirement is to do the will of the Father, not to discourage people and sow doubt about the written logos of the Elohim.

Hebrews 12:26 G3739 of whose G3588   G5456 voice G3588 the G1093 earth G4531 shook G5119 then; G3568 but now G1161   G1861 he has promised, G3004 saying, G2089 Still G530 once more G1473 I G4579 will shake G3756 not G3440 only G3588 the G1093 earth, G235 but G2532 also G3588 the G3772 heaven.

The Messiah will shake the earth and the heavens again. One time that he will shake the heavens and earth is when all the angels (stars) will prostrate before him. This gives us great insight into our understanding of the kingdom of God and the kingdom of heaven. Yahweh Elohim’s voice shook the earth at Sinai and it will shake the earth again, another foreshadow, with the promise to do it again.

Revelation 6:13 G2532 and G3588 the G792 stars G3588 of the G3772 heaven G4098 fell G1519 unto G3588 the G1093 earth, G5613 as G4808 a fig-tree G906 casts G3588   G3653 its immature figs G1473   G5259 [2by G3173 3a great G417 4wind G4579 1being shaken].

Just like figs that get blown off a tree, the stars of heaven prostrate. Imagine the wind of the Holy Spirit blowing by and the stars all bow at the sight of the Father and the Son. Physical shooting stars will not fall to earth, they would burn up in the atmosphere. What is happening here? The sixth seal has been opened and the sun becomes black and the moon turns red like blood. The heaven rolls back like a scroll and all the mountains and islands are moved. The people are in great fear because they see the Father on his throne and the wrath of the Lamb. It is no wonder that the angels would fall prostrate. They will see what all humans will see. We might think that the angels are always in the presence of the Father, but they are not. They have jobs and duties, and not all angels visit the Father and Son in the heavens.

https://musingsofawinsomeheart.blogspot.com/2020/05/stars-angels-managing-heavens-angels.html

The heavens and earth are shaken during the sixth seal and they will be shaken during the Day of the Lord. Notice here that angels are not always in the presence of the Father and Yahweh Jesus Messiah. When the heavens roll back as a scroll the angels will fall on their faces in worship. These angels are in the kingdom of God while the Father and Yahweh Jesus Messiah are in the kingdom of heaven. Keep in mind that the kingdom of God is the entirety of the universe while the kingdom of heaven is inside the kingdom of God, like the capital of a state or nation. When the heavens open exposing the kingdom of heaven then everyone shakes, all the angels and the humans on the earth. They will be seeing the Father on his throne and the wrath of the Lamb, just like the people on the earth. The angels know that their judgment day is coming and at least one third of the angels will be cast to earth halfway through the tribulation.

Hebrews 12:27 G3588 And the saying, G1161   G2089 Still G530 once more, G1213 manifests G3588 [3of the things G4531 4being shaken G3588 1the G3331 2transposition], G5613 as things G4160 being made, G2443 that G3306 [4should abide G3588 1the things G3361 2not G4531 3being shaken].

If the exodus generation was nervous about the events on Mt Sinai we know that the earth’s inhabitants at the sixth seal will be even more upset. Humans recognize their limitations when they witness natural disasters. When the earth quakes people know that they are not in control and are not able to stop it. All they can do is run and hide. The Christians, the Body of Christ, is not on the earth at this time. The people sealed for the day of off-ransoming have already left. They were off-first. Now they are the first-born in heaven.

Hebrews 12:28 G1352 Therefore G932 [2a kingdom G761 3unshaken G3880 1receiving], G2192 we should have G5484 favor G1223 by G3739 which G3000 we should serve G2102 [2pleasantly G3588   G2316 1God] G3326 with G127 respect G2532 and G2124 veneration.

  29 G2532 For even G1063   G3588   G2316 our God G1473   G4442 [2fire G2654 1 is a consuming].

The writer of Hebrews then suggests that we seek for a kingdom that is unshaken. Seek first the kingdom of God, then repent, prepare, and work towards the kingdom of heaven.

Ezra is on mount Horeb and is told to go to Israel. The people pushed him away and rejected the commands of Yahweh, so Ezra speaks to the heathens.

2Es 2:33  I Esdras received a charge of the Lord upon the mount Oreb, that I should go unto Israel; but when I came unto them, they set me at nought, and despised the commandment of the Lord.

2Es 2:34  And therefore I say unto you, O ye heathen, that hear and understand, look for your Shepherd, he shall give you everlasting rest; for he is nigh at hand, that shall come in the end of the world.

To understand the picture, the Assyrians over the years had allowed the Jews and mixed families to go back to the northern kingdom. This is before they overtook Babylon and allowed the southern kingdom to be re-inhabited. After the southern kingdom was allowed to go back and build a temple, Ezra is told to go to Israel. This is the same 400 miles or so that Elijah traveled when he left Horeb to go back to the northern kingdom.

https://musingsofawinsomeheart.blogspot.com/2021/04/elijah-yahweh-passes-by-jehu-hazael.html

Ezra is writing this to the heathens, the nations and the mixed Israelites. Ezra just told these people that their Shepherd will give them everlasting rest and he is coming at the end of the world. Ezra set the timing for them.

2Es 2:35  Be ready to the reward of the kingdom, for the everlasting light shall shine upon you for evermore.

2Es 2:36  Flee the shadow of this world, receive the joyfulness of your glory: I testify my Saviour openly.

2Es 2:37  O receive the gift that is given you, and be glad, giving thanks unto him that hath led you to the heavenly kingdom.

Ezra sees the nations in the heavenly kingdom. This is what Jesus said to the Pharisees, all the sinners would come from the east and west, but the children of the kingdom would be outside. Remember when Jesus was speaking to the centurion?

Mat 8:10  (ISV) When Jesus heard this, he was amazed and told those who were following him, "I tell you with certainty, not even in Israel have I found this kind of faith!

Mat 8:11  I tell you, many will come from east and west and will feast with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom from heaven.

Mat 8:12  But the unfaithful heirs of that kingdom will be thrown into the darkness outside. In that place there will be wailing and gnashing of teeth."

Mat 8:13  "Go," Jesus told the centurion, "and it will be done for you, just as you have believed." And his servant was healed that very hour.

Funny how Ezra was saying the same thing over four hundred years earlier. The people who confess and believe on Jesus Messiah are pursuing the kingdom of heaven. Jesus doesn’t care if they are all heathens entering in, just like the king who invited everyone to the wedding of his son, but kicked out the one man without a white garment.

2Es 2:38  Arise up and stand, behold the number of those that be sealed in the feast of the Lord;

Who are the sealed? The sealed are the ones with the Holy Spirit, sealed for the Day of Redemption. There is a number here. What is the number of the sealed? We do not know. The feast of Yahweh is the event that this sealed number of people are attending.

2Es 2:39  Which are departed from the shadow of the world, and have received glorious garments of the Lord.

2Es 2:40  Take thy number, O Sion, and shut up those of thine that are clothed in white, which have fulfilled the law of the Lord.

The sealed have departed the darkness of the world and have received new garments. Ezra prophecies to “take thy number” and to “shut up those of thine that are clothed in white” but there is something else, they have “fulfilled or completed the law of Yahweh”. This is not the law of Moses, it is the law of Yahweh. As far as the number of the seed of people required and the exact date, that is the law of Yahweh. The exact terms and conditions of his taking back his Creation is the law of Yahweh.

What does Jesus give the overcomers? Sardis is the church that wasn’t having people confess Jesus with their mouth out loud.

Rev 3:4  Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy.

Rev 3:5  He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

Jesus says this to Laodicea.

Rev 3:4 (ISV) But you have a few people in Sardis who have not soiled their clothes. They will walk with me in white clothes because they are worthy.

Rev 3:5  The person who conquers in this way will wear white clothes, and I will never erase his name from the Book of Life. I will acknowledge his name in the presence of my Father and his angels.

John writes this:

Rev 19:7 (KJV) Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.

Rev 19:8  And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.

Rev 19:9  And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.

Let’s re-read these verses.

2Es 2:38  Arise up and stand, behold the number of those that be sealed in the feast of the Lord;

2Es 2:39  Which are departed from the shadow of the world, and have received glorious garments of the Lord.

2Es 2:40  Take thy number, O Sion, and shut up those of thine that are clothed in white, which have fulfilled the law of the Lord.

2Es 2:41  The number of thy children, whom thou longedst for, is fulfilled: beseech the power of the Lord, that thy people, which have been called from the beginning, may be hallowed.

Ezra prophesies that there is a number, that the dead will receive garments. Then Ezra says to shut up that number of people. Shut the door in the kingdom of heaven, the number of the children is fulfilled. Ezra is prophesying that His people are holy. Isaiah tells us that His people will enter into their chambers and shut the doors. This is the harpazo. The number is fulfilled, it is complete and then the called up shut the doors.

Isa 26:19 (ISV) "But your dead will live; their bodies will rise. Those who live in the dust will wake up and shout for joy! For your dew is like the dew of dawn, and the earth will give birth to the dead.

Isa 26:20  Come, my people, enter your rooms and shut your doors behind you. Hide yourselves for a little while until the fury has passed by.

Isa 26:21  For see, the LORD is coming from his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their sins; the earth will reveal the blood that has been shed on it, and will no longer conceal its slain."

There is a number that is going to be completed. The people will be given new glorious garments of white. They will be hidden for a while. This is what Ezra is telling the heathen in Israel. This is for the people who may or may not be Jews, but who believed that the Messiah would come, as well as those who believed when he did come, and including those who now believe and confess Jesus as their Messiah and Yahweh, and that God rose him up on the third day. The reiteration of the angel Uriel’s words to Ezra are as follows:

2Es 4:36  And unto these things Uriel the archangel gave them answer, and said, Even when the number of seeds is filled in you: for he hath weighed the world in the balance.

2Es 4:37  By measure hath he measured the times; and by number hath he numbered the times; and he doth not move nor stir them, until the said measure be fulfilled.

The Body of Christ has a number to be fulfilled, then the Body is called up, harpazo’d, and prepared for returning with the Messiah on the Day of the Lord. Then Yahweh will rescue Jacob and establish his kingdom on the earth. Jesus will sit as King and Lord over the earth, ruling with a rod of iron. Jesus came down from heaven to the earth, went back up to heaven, then he will come back down to earth and establish his kingdom as King. Just as Moses went up and down a couple of times, we will go up and down a couple of times, as will Jesus Messiah. The heavenly Zion and the heavenly Jerusalem are revolving doors, we just haven’t personally experienced it yet.

Rom 11:25  (ISV) For I want to let you know about this secret, brothers, so that you will not claim to be wiser than you are: Stubbornness has come to part of Israel until the full number of the gentiles comes to faith.

Rom 11:26  In this way, all Israel will be saved, as it is written, "The Deliverer will come from Zion; he will remove ungodliness from Jacob.

Rom 11:27  This is my covenant with them when I take away their sins."

We started foreshadowing, parallels, and with the phrase “on earth as it is in heaven”. There is a heavenly Zion for his numbered of sealed and holy saints. There is also an earthly Zion. There is a heavenly Jerusalem, the city in which the Almighty Father Elohim dwells. Matthew writes of the requirements to enter the Fathers kingdom. There is an earthly Jerusalem which Yahweh Jesus Messiah will rule from.

The Holy Convocation in the wilderness was a foreshadowing of the Day of Redemption. It was an introduction to the exact same things that will happen in the future. Just as Moses was called up, the body of Christ will be called up. Where we go from there will be determined at that time. Matthew wrote about the kingdom of heaven because Jesus taught it. Jesus taught it because he wanted us to enter in. the writer of Hebrews was well aware of the connection of the meeting in the wilderness with the meeting in the air as Paul described. The writer of Hebrews thought that we would know this parallel and foreshadow but we lost this knowledge. Like Moses we will be called up. Paul wrote about the harpazo as a parallel event, but also the writer of Hebrews foreshadows the meeting in the wilderness telling us to come up to Zion and the heavenly Jerusalem. The angels are throwing a party for the first-born church in heaven. Let’s get ready to celebrate.
