Puma Punku

Puma Punku is one of the many mysterious places we find in Bolivia. We tend to look at Adam and Eve as a step or two above cavemen.  We picture the people of that time period as wearing animal skins, somehow figuring out fire and learning to be civilized.  We know Cain built a city as stated in Genesis 4:17.  I hesitate to say it was the first city of all time but maybe the first city after the fall of Adam and Eve.  There is no logical way that what I’ve pictured in my mind can be accurate.  Either there was a lot of technology after the fall and before the flood or I’ve got a time line problem, or both.  If what I’ve pictured about the first humans is true, then there could not be any mega structure type buildings during that time period.  Therefore I recognize that my time line thinking and my understanding of technology is wrong and I have to explore further what I may be missing.  One mega structure that came along before the flood was the Tower of Babel.

At Puma Punku the rock are made of granite and diorite, some of the hardest rock know to man.  The only element that is harder, and can be used to carve and cut granite diorite is diamond.  Is it possible that cavemen had diamond tipped tools?  No wheels, no, electricity, but machine tools made from diamond?  Not to mention that some of these rocks that had been carved and positioned precisely to inter lock with each other were 800 tons.  Reality check.  A large family size sedan would weigh about one ton or 2,000 lbs. (I once owned a 1976 Pontiac Catalina that I could lie across the seats and not touch either door, that car weighed one ton.) Stacking 800 of those cars into a block and squashing them together would weigh 1,600,000 pounds.  We don’t have the machinery to maneuver that large of a weighted block today.  Even several cranes working together would not be able to take on this task.  We also find precision drilling at Puma Punku.  Is it possible that perfectly machine drilled holes, researched and measured by major universities, could have been made with Stone Age tools?

Maybe this is why our public schools did not teach South American history in any detail.  It doesn’t seem to fit the mold they created for us to believe.  I’ve included a website for further information.  Although my research mostly came from books, a website is a quick and easy way to get some information.  If you dare you could read the book Technology of the Gods by David Hatcher Childress, it will mess up your thinking.  I’ve included a Google book link as well; you can purchase the book on Amazon also.

The prophet Jeremiah had some interesting insights and understandings. If we look at this section carefully we see shifting in tenses.  We see present, past and future.  Jeremiah has a vision of Genesis 1:2, and he also sees the future.  Here in this section we see the earth became desolate and empty but look what else he says.  There were earth quakes.  There weren’t any people and all the birds flew away.  The fruitful places became a wilderness, or desert, and the cities were broken down at the presence of Yahweh.  Isn’t it interesting there were cities but all the people were gone and everything became a wasteland?

Jer 4:23-29
23 I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was without form, and void; and the heavens, and they had no light.
24 I beheld the mountains, and, lo, they trembled, and all the hills moved lightly.
25 I beheld, and, lo, there was no man, and all the birds of the heavens were fled.
26 I beheld, and, lo, the fruitful place was a wilderness, and all the cities thereof were broken down at the presence of the Lord, and by his fierce anger. KJV

Prior to this we are told in the present tense to Jeremiah’s time that watchers from far away are complaining about Judah’s rebellion.

Jer 4:16-17
16 Make ye mention to the nations; behold, publish against Jerusalem, that watchers come from a far country, and give out their voice against the cities of Judah.
17 As keepers of a field, are they against her round about; because she hath been rebellious against me, saith the Lord. KJV

The word for watchers used here is a little odd.  Most of the time strong’s number 5341 is used in the KJV translation so to research it is awkward.   The Hebrew renders to guard, but the KJV rendering uses it as keep or besiege.  In this context it would seem there was someone (people) or something (angelic host) complaining about Judah’s rebellion towards the Lord.

OT:5341 rx^n*
natsar (naw-tsar'); a primitive root; to guard, in a good sense (to protect, maintain, obey, etc.) or a bad one OT:5341
KJV - besieged, hidden thing, keep (-er, -ing), monument, observe, preserve (-r), subtil, watcher (-man).

Jeremiah sees the past destruction of the earth, and then he sees the future destruction of the earth.  Is it possible that the Genesis 1:2 desolation will be like the future desolation?  This is quite disturbing to me.  We don’t know how or why the earth became formless and void, we don’t know who made it that way either.  What we do know is that we are, at present, moments from nuclear destruction.  At any given time someone behaving in a hostile manner could start something that no one can win.  Then the cities will be destroyed, people will be gone and the fruitful places will become barren.  There is evidence in ancient texts of atomic warfare on earth.  Some date further then six thousand years BC, some date to only one thousand years BC, during the time of Abraham.

Jer 4:27-29
27 For thus hath the Lord said, The whole land shall be desolate; yet will I not make a full end.
28 For this shall the earth mourn, and the heavens above be black: because I have spoken it, I have purposed it, and will not repent, neither will I turn back from it.
29 The whole city shall flee for the noise of the horsemen and bowmen; they shall go into thickets, and climb up upon the rocks: every city shall be forsaken, and not a man dwell therein. KJV

We see Yahweh describing a future destruction which is not unlike Jesus’ description in Luke.  The time period of Jeremiah was after the flood, and to the best of our more recent knowledge, the earth has not been destroyed by Yahweh.  Therefore we know that in the future the earth will be desolate again.  It would seem that the earth became without form and void once, that it could very well happen again.

Luke 21:25-29
25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
26 Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.KJV

I've added a few other verses from Isaiah, remember that since Isaiah’s time there has not been an earthly destruction.

Isa 13:13
13 Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the Lord of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger.KJV

Isa 24:19-23
19 The earth is utterly broken down, the earth is clean dissolved, the earth is moved exceedingly.
20 The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall be removed like a cottage; and the transgression thereof shall be heavy upon it; and it shall fall, and not rise again.
21 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall punish the host of the high ones that are on high, and the kings of the earth upon the earth.
22 And they shall be gathered together, as prisoners are gathered in the pit, and shall be shut up in the prison, and after many days shall they be visited.
23 Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed, when the Lord of hosts shall reign in mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before his ancients gloriously.KJV

The book of 2 Ezra is an interesting book that has a few insights that I think are interesting to include here.  Ezra (Esdras in Latin) has been praying and fasting because he has questions he would like answered .  It seems just as there are a number of martyrs to be fulfilled, and a number of gentiles to be fulfilled there is a time that is to be fulfilled also.

2 Esd 5:1-14
5 Nevertheless as coming the tokens, behold, the days shall come, that they which dwell upon earth shall be taken in a great number, and the way of truth shall be hidden, and the land shall be barren of faith.
2 But iniquity shall be increased above that which now thou seest, or that thou hast heard long ago.
3 And the land, that thou seest now to have root, shalt thou see wasted suddenly.
4 But if the most High grant thee to live, thou shalt see after the third trumpet that the sun shall suddenly shine again in the night, and the moon thrice in the day: KJV

The coming destruction is not my primary focus; however in Jeremiah the bible seems to link the past and the future together as if the event of the past will be like the event of the future.  We have the words of the prophets as well as Jesus to confirm what is to come.  What I speculate is that the cities that were built in the far distant past, that lie in ruins to this day, may have been cities that were destroyed in the time period of Genesis 1:2.  If we can only trace humanity back to 6,000 years in the bible then from about 6,000 years to the present we have a new humanity living on a old earth.  There are further technologies to look and to illustrate this as we shall see in the upcoming weeks.
