There are clearly defined seasons, ages, administrations, and dispensations (oikonomia) noted in the Bible. We know that we cannot erase words or verses and continue to have the God breathed word, (theopneustos). Doing so would pridefully make us smarter than the Holy Spirit to which humans are not. It is up to us to understand the God breathed word, not alter it to fit our own narrative. In dealing with Masoretic alterations we find that we have to adjust our own thinking and our own perception regarding some of these bigger ideas. Jesus told us that the law and the prophets were until John the Baptist. That tells us a new or different season, age, administration, or dispensation, oikonomia, follows. What comes after the law and the prophets? Paul tells us that the next oikonomia is an oikonomia of grace and faith. Jesus tells us that Jerusalem will be trampled by the nations until the season of the nations is completely complete. This tells us that when the season of the nations is completely full, another new season, age, dispensation, and administration, oikonomia, will begin. Until that time, we remain in the season of the nations. 1 Peter 2:9-10 tells us that those who believe on Jesus are a new sacred ethnos, nation. Our nation is a nation of believers who are kings and priests, we are not a nation by heredity. This oikonomia is a season of the holy ethnicity, nations, and the nations trample Jerusalem. No amount of political wrangling will change it or force Yahweh Elohim to hurry up and return for the Day of the Lord. Any effort to change this age is worthless. In fact, if one wanted the Day of the Lord to arrive more quickly, the logical response should be to preach Jesus Messiah to the nations. Let’s explore.

Luke 21:20 G3752 And whenever G1161 G1492 you should behold G2944 [2being encircled G5259 3by G4760 4encamped armies G3588 G* 1Jerusalem], G5119 then G1097 know G3754 that G1448 [2approaches G3588 G2050 1her desolation]. G1473
The city was surrounded in the civil war which took place just before the temple was destroyed and the Romans kicked out all the Jews from Jerusalem.
Luke 21:22 G3754 For G2250 [3days G1557 4of avenging G3778 1these G1510.2.6 2are] G3588 G4137 to fulfill G3956 all G3588 the things G1125 having been written.
23 G3759 But woe G1161 G3588 to the ones G1722 [2in G1064 3 the womb G2192 1having one], G2532 and G3588 to the ones G2337 nursing G1722 in G1565 those G3588 G2250 days. G1510.8.3 For there will be G1063 G318 [2distress G3173 1great] G1909 upon G3588 the G1093 land, G2532 and G3709 wrath G1722 among G3588 G2992 this people. G3778
This people. Which people? The Jews in Jerusalem. The cilvil war was a terrible time. One faction of Jews, the Zealots, wanted to overthrow Rome, but the average citizen didn’t. The Romans watched as the Jews murdered one another for a while, and then stepped in to quickly and easily take over the city. The Jews were banished from Jerusalem, the temple was dismantled stone by stone, and the City of David was dug down to nothing.
Luke 21:24 G2532 And G4098 they shall fall G4750 by the mouth G3162 of the sword, G2532 and G163 shall be taken captive G1519 into G3956 all G3588 the G1484 nations; G2532 and G* Jerusalem G1510.8.3 will be G3961 for treading G5259 by G1484 nations G891 until G4137 [3shall be fulfilled G2540 1 the times G1484 2of the nations].
In the first part of this verse we see exactly what history records. Many die by the sword and then many were taken captive and spread around the Roman kingdom. This was the Roman strategy for quelling any and all future uprisings. The second part of this verse we see something interesting. Jesus states that Jerusalem would be trodden down until the times of the nations are fulfilled. There is a time period that we are watching. We can see this period of time when we look at history through to our day.
Jerusalem would be made a path, or trampled and despised by the ethnos until the fulfillment of the time of the ethnos. Remember, as we have studied many times this word is mis-translated by the Masorete’s to goy or goyim, meaning “gentiles”, as in a derogatory meaning. As we found previously, Shem’s line were called goyim, gentiles, which tells us that it was up to people’s opinion as to what to call non-Jews. However, the Greek (being older and more accurate), calls non-Jews ethnos, “nations”, or “tribes”. Basically all other people groups apart from Israelites are ethnos. Being a non-Jew does not make one evil, hence the misuse of the derogatory utilization of “gentile”.

http://musingsofawinsomeheart.blogspot.com/2015/02/treasure-nation-of-sinners-called-into.html
There is a time of the ethnos. The reason for the time of the ethnos is because Yahweh opened salvation to everyone since the Israelites rejected him. Israel as a land mass was a desolate waste land, and when we read recent history we understand there was much discussion in 1917 as to whether to allow scattered Israelite people to move back into the land. The fear was that they would not be able to survive the harsh conditions. There were many rich people who funded this endeavor and at first it seemed that the people did not have the fortitude to make it work, but with enough money and a lot of hard work, the land of Israel was re-inhabited. However, Israel is still bullied by its neighbors as well as by some of the people who have lived within the land for many generations. Therefore, it is still trodden down until the time of the nations is fulfilled. Israel, and Jerusalem in particular, is still looked at disdainfully by the nations.
https://musingsofawinsomeheart.blogspot.com/2017/09/eternal-redemption-escape-visitation.html
To be trodden down, trampled, or made a path, is not as devastating as we might think. Other peoples or nations will be controlling Jerusalem. It means Jerusalem will not have a temple until close to the tribulation period. This is a benchmark. It means Jerusalem may not be led by religious politicians. It also means that the people claiming to be Jews may not be, as Jesus warned us that they will say they are Jews, but are from the synagogue of Satanas. Jerusalem is not the world leader it should be because of their rejection of the Messiah. The purpose of leading the Israelites out of Egypt was to make them a nation that would teach the rest of the world about Yahweh Elohim. Instead of learning from the Israelites, we learn about Yahweh Elohim in spite of the Israelites.
Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, were followers and worshippers of Yahweh, but Jacob’s heirs, even while in the wilderness, formed a golden calf to worship. They were set up to enter the promised land and instead they wandered around for 40 years until the unbelieving generation died. Even though Yahweh had great conditional plans and promises for the heirs of Jacob they rejected Yahweh almost immediately. The condition was to worship Him. Even in the wilderness they were afraid to meet Yahweh on the day of the holy convocation. Because of Israel’s continual rejection of Yahweh and his plans, the nations are invited into the sheepfold and are given positions of honor because it is not by heredity that the nations enter in, it is by their individual faith. Faith is something Israel did not have and still does not have. They still await a Messiah, because they didn’t like the one provided. Without faith it is impossible to please Yahweh Elohim.
To understand the fall of Jerusalem in the first century, and the history behind what took place Josephus lays out the events quite nicely. This blog refers to that time period in which Jesus tells people that when they see the city surrounded to leave quickly.

Luke 21:24b …G2532 and G* Jerusalem G1510.8.3 will be G3961 for treading G5259 by G1484 nations G891 until G4137 [3shall be fulfilled G2540 1 the times G1484 2of the nations].
”and Jerusalem it will be trampled under nations up to filling up proper time nations”
Jerusalem is still being overrun by the nations because they continue to reject Yahweh Elohim. Therefore the terms changed. Just like in the wilderness, they rejected Yahweh with a golden calf, refused to enter the land, and when they did not do what they should have, the terms of their settlement were readjusted by Yahweh Elohim. In this era, the people did not believe a Messiah would come. When he came they rejected him. When he showed proof positive miracles he was still rejected. When he rose up leaving the grave empty, and he was seen by many of his disciples and followers, he was still rejected. The terms changed. Because they rejected the Messiah they are held accountable, and will be subdued until the season of the nations is completely complete. When is the time of the nations fulfilled? At the harpazo. Paul notes the same thing.
Romans 11:25 G3756 For I do not G1063 G2309 want G1473 you G50 to be ignorant, G80 brethren, G3588 G3466 of this mystery, G3778 G2443 that G3361 you should not G1510.3 be G3844 [2in G1438 3yourselves G5429 1intelligent], G3754 that G4457 callousness G575 [2in part G3313 G3588 3 to G* 4Israel G1096 1has happened] G891 until G3739 of which time G3588 the G4138 fullness G3588 of the G1484 nations G1525 should enter in.
“…up to this the full measure the nations come in.’
Since Jesus Messiah has not informed us of that number, a number that has been accumulating for two thousand years, we have to have the perspective that it could be any time. Why would we want to have that perspective? We want to be sure that we are not making up benchmarks that do not exist, but we also should understand the urgency to getting everyone saved who desires it.
While the Jews in Israel may not actually be Jews, the nations might in fact not be nations, but instead Jews. Because of the several dispersions, people being scattered all over the earth, it is possible that many of the people who are of the nations are heredity Jews. Nonetheless, we have something conditional of our own. The nations who are now allowed to be part of the kingdom of God and the kingdom of heaven are to have faith. Jesus told us twice that many are called but few are chosen.
Matthew 20:16 G3779 Thus G1510.8.6 will be G3588 the G2078 last G4413 first, G2532 and G3588 the G4413 first G2078 last. G4183 For many G1063 G1510.2.6 are G2822 called, G3641 but few G1161 G1588 chosen.
Jesus tells us that hiring someone either earlier in the day or later in the day for the same pay is acceptable even though our earthly sense of justice is tweaked by this thought. The last will be paid their earnings first, and the first will be paid the same earnings last. We would like to think that there is a sliding scale to our salvation, but there isn’t. Many are called but few chosen.
Another parable where Jesus explains the called and chosen is just a few chapters later. No one can sneak into the wedding banquet, however many are called, but few chosen.
Matthew 22:12 G2532 And G3004 he says G1473 to him, G2083 Friend, G4459 how G1525 did you enter G5602 here G3361 not G2192 having G1742 [2garment G1062 1a wedding]? G3588 And he G1161 G5392 was halted.
13 G5119 Then G2036 [3said G3588 1the G935 2king] G3588 to the G1249 servants, G1210 Having bound G1473 his G4228 feet G2532 and G5495 hands, G142 lift G1473 him G2532 and G1544 cast him G1519 into G3588 the G4655 [2darkness G3588 G1857 1outer]! G1563 There, G1510.8.3 there will be G3588 the G2805 weeping G2532 and G3588 the G1030 gnashing G3588 G3599 of teeth.
14 G4183 For many G1063 G1510.2.6 are G2822 called, G3641 but few G1161 G1588 are chosen.
Many are called to salvation into the kingdoms of Yahweh Elohim. Few are chosen to enter the kingdom of heaven. Yahweh Elohim is not choosing and picking people as to his whims and desires, he is choosing who meets the requirements. The man at the wedding without a white garment did not meet the requirements. If we meet the requirements we receive a white garment. A white garment is for the righteousness of the saints. This is up to us, it is our choice if we choose Him, he will choose us. As Ephesians tells us, it is like rolling dice. Yahweh rolls the dice sending out invitations and we decide whether to accept his invitation or not. Then it is our own responsibility as servants to make some sort of gain for Him.
During the tribulation the saints come back with Jesus Messiah to cleanse the earth. Those who come back with him were called, chosen, and faithful, or trustworthy. The extra qualification tells us that of the called and chosen, those who were trustworthy or faithful will return on the Day of the Lord to establish His kingdom.
Revelation 17:14 G3778 These G3326 [2against G3588 3the G721 4lamb G4170 1shall wage war], G2532 and G3588 the G721 lamb G3528 will overcome G1473 them, G3754 for G2962 [2Lord G2962 3of lords G1510.2.3 1he is] G2532 and G935 king G935 of kings; G2532 and G3588 the ones G3326 with G1473 him G2822 are called, G2532 and G1588 chosen, G2532 and G4103 trustworthy.

πιστός
pistos pis-tos' From G3982; objectively trustworthy; subjectively trustful
KJV Usage: believe (-ing, -r), faithful (-ly), sure, true.
The word pistos is a derivative of pistis, faith or trust. Pistos is sometimes translated “believing”, it is an adjective while pistis is a noun. Paul explains that our faith should grow from acceptance into loyalty, credence to fidelity.
Rom 1:17 G1343 For righteousness G1063 G2316 of God G1722 [2by G1473 3it G601 1is revealed] G1537 from G4102 belief G1519 unto G4102 belief; G2531 as G1125 has been written, G3588 But the G1161 G1342 just G1537 [2of G4102 3belief G2198 1shall live].

“Righteousness for Elohim uncovered in us from out of credence into fidelity just as written ‘but the just lie from out of persuasion’.
https://musingsofawinsomeheart.blogspot.com/2023/01/trust-equity-credence-into-fidelity.html
The simplicity is that our faith should grow, from acceptance to loyalty. That is what is required of the nations in this age. Growing in faith is not by works, although works such as ministering to others may help us grow in faith, as it is deepening our relationship with Jesus Messiah. To be just or justified we have to be persuaded. If someone holds a gun to our head we have to be persuaded not to renounce Him. This is being trustworthy or faithful, through to the end. People make martyrdom a fear inspired platform to force change, but martyrdom is a perfectly acceptable form of death for Christians. It is only fearful if we are unsure of where we will end up after our body is murdered. Yet there are many types of physical murder for Christians, some types are fast, some are slow, like the poisoning of our food, water, air, and supposed medicines, as compared to assassination.

This is the trustworthy servant. The one who is trustworthy until the end. Matthew records a story of three servants who were each given a certain number of talents. Two of them put the money to use earning more money, while one did not. Two were rewarded with a position of rulership and to enter into the joy of their master. One was scolded for not using the money to make more money and thrown into the outer darkness. Notice all three were called servants but one didn’t actually serve.
Matthew 25:29 G3588 G1063 For G2192 to every one having G3956 G1325 shall be given, G2532 and G4052 shall abound; G575 but from G1161 G3588 the one G3361 not G2192 having, G2532 even G3739 what G2192 he has G142 shall be taken G575 from G1473 him.
30 G2532 And G3588 [2the G888 3useless G1401 4servant G1544 1cast out] G1519 into G3588 G4655 [2darkness G3588 G1857 1outer]! G1563 There, G1510.8.3 there will be G3588 the G2805 weeping G2532 and G3588 G1030 gnashing G3588 of the G3599 teeth.
Enter into the joy of your master. The context is the kingdom of heaven. The comparison is that the one who does not do anything for the master while the master is away will suffer loss and be cast outside with weeping and gnashing of teeth. Outside is somewhere in the kingdom of God, not at the table with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven.
Luke records a similar story that is a little different. Luke writes that a lord went to inherit his kingdom. When the lord returns he rewards his faithful servants who have gained monetarily. After scolding the one servant who did not gain anything, Luke records some additional information.
Luke19:26 G3004 For I say G1063 G1473 to you G3754 that, G3956 To every one G3588 G2192 having, G1325 it shall be given; G575 but of G1161 G3588 the one G3361 not G2192 having, G2532 even G3739 what G2192 he has G142 shall be taken G575 from G1473 him.
27 G4133 Furthermore, G3588 G2190 my enemies, G1473 G1565 those G3588 of the ones G3361 not G2309 wanting G1473 me G936 to reign G1909 over G1473 them, G71 lead them G5602 here G2532 and G2695 butcher them G1715 in front of G1473 me!
With this parable Jesus is saying that being a passive Christian isn’t the way to go. Those who push through in service to Jesus Messiah will have position and those who passively watch others serve will not. Then Jesus comments that there are people who are enemies of the newly crowned king who do not want him to reign over them. The king says “off with their heads”, in a manner of speaking. Jesus also has enemies who do not want Jesus to reign over them. There will be a time for their judgement. Jesus holds the Israelites and the religious leaders accountable for not recognizing Him as Messiah. They intentionally did everything in their power at that time, and since that time, to obstruct people, manipulating them against Jesus Messiah.
Luke 19:41 G2532 And G5613 as G1448 he approached G1492 beholding G3588 the G4172 city, G2799 he wept G1909 over G1473 it,

“in you instead of this not know the season the visitation of thee.”
They did not know the proper time or season of their visitation, therefore peace is concealed from them. Visitation is the word episkopē which is an “overseer”, from the word epi meaning “on or upon” and skopos “a watcher”. We might say over-watcher as in “an inspection or oversight”. They did not know the time of the inspection or the oversight for judgment. How could they not know? The scriptures clearly tell us that a Messiah would be born, and would open blind eyes and deaf ears. If that was all we had to go on it should be enough. Jesus was the only one who fulfilled that criteria. But the scriptures are much more detailed. So why then didn’t they believe? They basically never believed on Yahweh Elohim, not during the exodus, not wandering in the wilderness, not with their laws, not with their politics, and not among the religious leaders. They didn’t know because they never cared to know. There was a small percentage that did in fact care, but an overwhelming majority who didn’t. Yet from that small percentage, came the believers from the nations. The nations believed and trusted in Jesus Messiah, not the people born of heredity. The new Jewish believers became part of the nations.
This chapter is the lead up to the trampling of the nations. The historical element is that no stone was left upon another. This was a hinge point, the time when Jesus Messiah came for them to find their peace, but they rejected him. The civil war did in fact bring a siege around the city. Entire families were murdered as they tried to escape the city. Their bodies were left on the roadways by the Zealots to inspire fear in others. They could have had peace, but instead when the Romans stepped in to stop the civil war, the Romans tore it all down. Every stone used in the temple was taken down and used elsewhere. The promised Messiah was not received and they were now responsible for the future death and destruction of Jerusalem. They did not believe what was written, they wanted to keep power over people and instead they lost the entire nation. We see that the Elohims’ promises are made with conditions, and change when the conditions (in this case they rejected Jesus Messiah) are not met.
While we never truly receive what we deserve, due to mercy, we do not receive the blessed promises when we reject Him. Instead we receive exactly what we would have received without Him. The Israelites overwhelmingly rejected the Messiah, so they were responsible for what would happen. Why not just believe and trust in Yahweh Elohim? Some did and they had already left the cities, deserts, and the countryside, surrounding Israel before the civil war started. Once the established communities of believers were abandoned, the unbelievers moved into them hoping to have a refuge, but they found none. Why? Because they didn’t know the season of His visitation with them. When Yahweh Elohim met with them in the desert they didn’t want to meet with him and sent Moses on their behalf. Then Moses returned, gave them a few precepts and promises from the Elohim and they all agreed to them. Moses went back up the mountain with a few other people and the Israelites forgot about what they agreed to and made a golden calf. It was only about a month from when they agreed to the precepts and promises. Ridiculous unbelief.
Today, the element that the sacred nations are required to have is faith. Faith, trust, persuasion. It is the only way to please Yahweh Elohim. Faith has been distorted into works, as in send a check to the preacher and God will multiply it back. The idea is not that we have to do something to get God to do something for us. We simply know he will do whatever it is we need because we trust him to take care of our needs.
Hebrews 11:1 G1510.2.3 [3is G1161 1And G4102 2belief G1679 5of hoping G5287 4 the reality] G4229 of things, G1650 the proof G3756 not G991 being seen.
“But persuasion is understanding expectation, deeds proof not seen.”
Faith or pistis is not a “substance” or an “assurance”. Those things are not solid. How many times have we been assured that things will be fine when they are not? Substance sounds like something mysterious, something we don’t know how to attain. This leaves us with a problem in how to attain faith. Is it like a smiling nurse who doesn’t want to give us the bad news? Or is it a thing that we have to search for but we may not know if we have found it? The unusual translation has caused us problems. It is hupostasis, “under standing”. It is hupo meaning “under”, and histēmi meaning “to stand”. Understanding is “comprehension, grasping, mastery, or perception”. Therefore faith is understanding.
To break down these words, persuasion (noun) is pistis, meaning “faith or moral conviction”. An example of faith is that we all believe air is safe to breathe, and that the ground is firm to stand on. It is something that is concrete in our perception. We were born with this reality and we don’t question it. It is something that we are persuaded in. We don’t wear weighted space suits and breathe oxygen from a tank all day long. Understanding (noun) is hupostasis meaning “perceiving reality”, it is the foundation that one stands on. We comprehend that air is safe to breathe and that the ground is safe to walk on. We believe it, we grasp it. We are not afraid to get out of bed and put our feet on the ground. We are not afraid to inhale. We don’t spend undue time thinking about it, we simply do it. Expectation (verb) elpizō means “to hope for, look for, or expecting”. We expect that when we breathe, the oxygen will be safe for us. We expect that when we stand up, the earth will not cave in underneath us. We expect that the sun will rise whether we see it or not. We expect that storms will come whether we are in them or we watch them from far off. Expectation is a supposition or a calculation that something will happen. We know it will happen, but we do not always know when.
Persuasion is a thing, understanding is a thing, and expectation is an action.
We could say that our moral conviction is the understanding of what we expect will happen, the proof of deeds not yet seen. The two verbs in both statements are “expecting” and “seen”. We are taking action in expectation of what is not seen. Faith is understanding expectation. We are expecting to see the proof of deeds not yet seen. Our moral conviction is a perceived reality for us. We have calculated that the proofs of the workings of Yahweh in the people who have come before us are indeed truth. We calculate that if Yahweh can work in those people and they trusted Him, then Yahweh can work in us and we can trust Him.
This is what we are to be outspoken about. This is what we need cheerful endurance for. We are well pleasing when we don’t hold back, but instead tell others about Jesus the Messiah, our complete sacrifice. Our persuasion is that Jesus died and rose up on the third day. Our understanding is that Jesus died and rose up on the third day. Our expectation is that just as Jesus rose up, Jesus will call for us from the clouds. The harpazo hasn’t happened yet, we haven’t seen it. But the reality is that Jesus was crucified and that people saw Him after he died. Just as Jesus was seen by thousands of people, Jesus will call from the clouds, and later He will return back to earth.

Now we look at what Paul told the Athenians on Mars Hill. As Paul is explaining to them that their Unknown God is Jesus Messiah, he tells them that the Unknown God/Jesus Messiah made humans of one blood. We all are of one blood, but we have separated and dissected ourselves according to tribes and made nations over those divisions.
Paul establishes the Unknown God as the Elohim who created the world. Paul says the that Elohim doesn’t need anything from us but instead gave life and breath to all things.
Acts 17:26 G4160 and he made G5037 G1537 of G1520 one G129 blood G3956 every G1484 nation G444 of men, G2730 to dwell G1909 upon G3956 all G3588 the G4383 face G3588 of the G1093 earth, G3724 having confirmed G4367 beforehand G2540 times G2532 and G3588 the G3734 boundaries G3588 of their dwelling -- G2733 27 G2212 to seek G3588 the G2962 Lord…
Paul explains that we are all of one blood. As Paul told the Galatians, there are no Jews or Greeks, bond or free, male or female, but all are one in Christ Jesus. Now Paul says that all who dwell on the earth are separated and assigned for a proper time and the set territory of their dwelling to seek Yahweh. Remember that after the flood Yahweh told Noah’s descendants to spread out over the earth, but they were afraid that in smaller tribes they would be overcome by other related tribes. It was Yahweh’s plan for manfaced to inhabit all the earth.
Acts 17:27 G2212 to seek G3588 the G2962 Lord, G1487 if G686 then perhaps G1065 G5584 they might grope after G1473 him, G2532 and G2147 might find him, G2544 though indeed G3756 [2not G3112 3far G575 4from G1520 6one G1538 5each G1473 7of us G5224 1being].

Here is the point made again, all nations and tribes are “arranged towards the fitting season and the boundary lines the habitation desire Yahweh”. The nations, the time of the nations, the number of nations entering in, is for a specific time or season so that people would seek after Yahweh Elohim that they might find Him. It is the plan of Yahweh Elohim to allow nations time to come to him. There is a specific number of people to enter in, and after that the Christians will leave earth and the world will be under the rulership of Satanas and his human puppets. The son of perdition will be a ruler who will enter in to and sit in the holy of holies and when he exits he will declare himself god, as he won’t be dead. People will realize that they were deceived and renounce their allegiance to the son of perdition. At that point people will be martyred for believing in Jesus Messiah as King of kings and Lord of lords and not the son of perdition.
The season we are in is the season of the sacred nations. It is the dispensation, administration, age, oikonomia, that we live in. It is the time that the nations trample Jerusalem because the Israelites missed their visitation of the Messiah. This season lasts until the number of nations entering in is completely complete. The requirement of the nations is faith. We start with faith, acceptance/credence, and move into faith, loyalty/fidelity. The just live by faith. In this season, entire global nations and tribes are not affected, only individuals who believe and are a holy ethnos, nation. Yahweh Elohim does not judge man’s constructed nations, he made a new nation of people and tribes who believe on Him. Since the word of God is theopneustos, “God breathed”, we are obligated to understand the dynamics that He put in place for those who believe on Him. We are in the age of the sacred nations until Jesus Messiah calls us up.
