When Jesus came to the earth, he was on a rescue mission, saving humans from Satanas’ kingdom. He made a way for all people to be redeemed if they so choose. Jesus also had another goal in mind. Jesus was giving people the option to be part of His army. As we know, many are called but few are chosen. By elevating our understanding of heaven and the kingdom of heaven, Jesus was giving us something to attain to. Jesus needs an army to come to earth with Him on the day of the Lord so that the earth can be cleansed and made ready for his kingdom, his millennial reign. Therefore we need to spend some time to understand the various places in our universe, because we will all be a part of Jesus’ kingdom, even if we are not part of His army. We will all have jobs and responsibilities, just like the angels do today. We recognize that someone who is a serial murderer awaiting his lethal injection but who confesses Jesus (like the malefactor who was next to Jesus on the cross did), will enter paradise and heaven, but will not enter the kingdom of heaven, and will not be a king or priest. What places will be under Jesus’ control?
In Revelation 11 we see the phrase that the ‘kingdoms of the world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and Christ and he shall reign forever’. What are the “kingdoms of the world”? Actually the word for world is “cosmos, or universe”. The kingdoms of the cosmos are not just the kingdoms on this earth, they are the kingdoms that are in many places in the universe. This cosmos has more places than just the earth. We know from Genesis 1 that the earth is over the abyss, the bottomless pit. Where is that? Who knows.
We can count seven places in the cosmos which will become Jesus’. Some of these places are the same and we know this by their function. Even if we never look at the book of Enoch which organizes each of these places into a logical order and explanation, we can see from scripture that these places in the cosmos exist. Jesus will establish the millennial kingdom on the earth. Jesus is not in charge of heaven or the kingdom of heaven, until he sits with the Father in the new heaven and new earth at the eight thousandth year.
The first kingdom which was lost to Satanas was the kingdom of man, the adam. When the adam ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, he got exactly what one would expect, evil. The adam didn’t really know the contrast between the two until he lost his place in Eden, and had to work the ground outside the paradise of God which became cursed with thorns and thistles.
Eden is the place where the adam and Eve first lived. They were driven out of Eden and Cherubim were posted with flaming swords to guard the tree of life. Where is Eden? Eden is the garden of God, Revelation 2:7. It is where the tree of life is. Jesus will give the overcomers food from the tree of life. It is also called the paradise of God.
Where is paradise? Jesus told a malefactor that he would be with Jesus in paradise. Why? Because the malefactor believed Jesus was the Lord and asked if Jesus would remember him when he enters his kingdom, Luke 23:43. The malefactor was looking at the millennial kingdom, Jesus replied with the more immediate future of paradise. Ezra tells us that Yahweh led the adam into paradise, which Yahweh planted, 2Ezra 3:6.
Paul went to the third heaven. He calls it “paradise”, 2 Corinthians 12:4. Here we see that the third heaven was also known as “paradise” in the first century, but Paul was not allowed to tell us about it.
When we speak of hell we are talking about more than one place. Hell/hades apparently has several levels as Yahweh talks of the lowest hell.
Deu 32:21 They have moved me to jealousy with that which is not God; they have provoked me to anger with their vanities: and I will move them to jealousy with those which are not a people; I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation.
Deu 32:22 For a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell, and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains.
There are two different places that are spoken of together yet they are separate places, death and hell also known as “hades”. Death has its own kingdom.
Wis 1:13 For God made not death: neither hath he pleasure in the destruction of the living.
Wis 1:14 For he created all things, that they might have their being: and the generations of the world were healthful; and there is no poison of destruction in them, nor the kingdom of death upon the earth:
Wis 1:15 (For righteousness is immortal:)
Jesus took back the keys to death and hades after his crucifixion because death could not hold him.
Rev 1:18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
He witnessed to the imprisoned spirits and set the captives free, taking them to paradise.
Eph 4:8 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.
Eph 4:9 (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?
Eph 4:10 He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)
Jesus descended into the lower parts of the earth. He witnessed to the spirits in prison.
1Pe 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
1Pe 3:19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;
1Pe 3:20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.
Now under Jesus’ command, death and hell go out at the fourth seal to collect the people who are dying during these seal judgments. If we remember, the seal judgments are men killing men.
Rev 6:7 And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see.
Rev 6:8 And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.
Death and hell are done away with.
Rev 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
The sea had to give up the dead. What “dead” are in the sea? The heirs of the Nephilim at the time of the flood. Remember, Jubilees tells us that there was no place for the disembodied spirits of the Nephilim because they were not fully men. All those on the earth were drowned when the abyss opened and flooded the earth. Death and hell had to give up whoever was in them as well.
Rev 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
At this time the kingdom of death and the kingdom of hades are destroyed for ever.
The abyss or bottomless pit is another place to look at, the abussos. In Genesis 1:2 we see the earth became formless, void, and dark, over the bottomless pit. This speaks of something cataclysmic on the earth at this time before the creation of the adam. Apparently the demons do not want to go to the abyss, Luke 8:31. In Revelation 9:1-11, 11:7, 17:8, and 20:1-3 we see a lot of activity coming from the bottomless pit.
Peter and Jude spoke of the region of tartarus, or the zophos tartaroō. 2 Peter 2:4,17, Jude 6, 13.
2Pe 2:4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;
2 Peter 2:4 G1487 For if G1063 G3588 G2316 God G32 [2of angels G264 3sinning G3756 1spared not], G5339 G235 but G4577 in chains G2217 of the infernal G5020 region G3860 delivered them up G1519 for G2920 [2judgment G5083 1being kept for];
This place is a dark region with chains. There is no fire or light here but the angels who sinned are in chains.
Jud 1:6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.
Luke records Jesus making the comparison to Abraham’s Bay and hell, Luke 16:22-ff. This place is not a bosom or a pocket. There is water as per the context Jesus gives us. Jesus is noting that the rich people love purple, they love to dress in linen that is the color of purple, signifying money and power, and they enjoy the fine foods and drinks, as compared to a poor man. Jesus says a rich man dies and is carried off to torment. The poor man died and was carried off to Abraham’s kolpos, bay, creek, basin, loch, or gulf. The rich man sees what is happening on Abraham’s side but there is a chasm between the region where the rich man is and where Abraham is. The rich man wants the poor man to bring him water to cool his tongue. Abraham says that people can’t go between the two places. The place of Abraham’s Bay is the place of the righteous dead. The people who believed that the Messiah would come and lived righteously. Jesus set these righteous saints free into paradise. The rich man was in hell, hades, and was in torment. Those unrighteous people will stay there until after the millennial kingdom is completed and they stand before the white throne judgment. This will be the second death. Keep in mind that this is not a parable as Jesus uses Abraham and Lazarus’ names here. Parables do not use names.
Joel tells us that on the day of the Lord the Philistines will be captured, and taken to a far nation for recompense, Joel 3. They will be taken by the people they abused and repaid for their evil by the ones they abused. The Philistines are mixed tribes which are all heirs of the Nephilim.
Joel 3:7 G2532 And G2400 behold, G1473 I G1825 will awaken G1473 them G1537 from out of G3588 the G5117 place G3739 of which G591 you rendered G1473 them G1563 there; G2532 and G467 I will recompense G468 your recompense G1473 G1519 onto G2776 your heads. G1473
8 G2532 And G591 I will render G3588 G5207 your sons G1473 G2532 and G3588 G2364 your daughters G1473 G1519 into G5495 the hands G5207 of sons G* of Judah; G2532 and G591 they shall render G1473 them G1519 into G161 captivity, G1519 into G1484 a nation G3112 far G566 at a distance, G3754 for G3588 the G2962 lord G2980 spoke.
On the Day of the Lord, Jesus will gather all those who have been trafficked, abused, sold, and made sex slaves. Jesus will raise the people from the dead that were grossly mistreated, pushed out of their land, and sold by the descendants of the Nephilim; and the different races will then be repaid for what they have done. Jesus will repay the Nephilim with repayment on their heads. Then the children of the fallen angels will be given into a special captivity.
The Nephilim will be given into the hands of the heirs of Jacob. So far since Joel’s writing, this has not happened yet. The Nephilim have not been repaid by people raised from the dead. Some people try to dismiss these prophecies as past history. Yet there has never been a time in history where Judah took captive mixed races and took them to a distant place.

- The kingdom of the adam, kingdom of man

- Death, the kingdom of death

- Tartarus, the dark region
- Far distant nation of recompense
These places will be under Jesus’ management and control during his millennial kingdom. Satanas’ kingdom included the adam’s kingdom, death and hades. Jesus took back part of Satanas’ kingdom, death and hades. Jesus will take back the rest of Satanas’ kingdom when he is coronated and comes to earth with his army.
The kingdom of the cosmos needs people to run it, in all its places. Just as the serial killer on death row may receive salvation, he will not be a king or priest reigning with Jesus. The same is true for those who believed on Jesus but did not serve him. Jesus is giving us all the opportunity to be a part of the kingdom of heaven and possibly his army. While it is still today we can change the trajectory of our lives towards the kingdom of heaven.
Now we come back to the kingdom of God and the kingdom of heaven. One thing we see clearly is that those entering the kingdom of heaven have been persecuted in various ways. Jesus is explaining this in his sermon on the mount.
Mat 5:3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Mat 5:10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Mat 5:11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
Mat 5:12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
Jesus teaches the crowd how to pray, Matthew 6:5
Almighty Most High Eternal Father, sanctify Your name. Your kingdom shall come to earth. I invite Your will to be done on this earth as it is in the heavens. Give me sufficient food for the day. Write off my debts. I write off the debts of (list them) others. Do not let me be tested. Do not let the devil experiment with me or sport with me. Rescue me away from evil. Through You is the kingdom, the power and the glory forever and ever, amen.

He then tells people to lay up treasure in heaven. This is something we do. It doesn’t simply happen to us, we have to pursue treasure in heaven.
Mat 6:20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
Jesus preached the gospel of the kingdom.
Mat 9:35 And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.
The good news of the kingdom is that the Messiah is redeeming people who are interested in entering heaven and the kingdom of heaven.
The Pharisees come to annoy Jesus again and Jesus explains that Satanas has a kingdom. He also says Satanas doesn’t fight against his own kingdom. No kingdom can stand if it is divided against its own self.
Mat 12:25 And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:
Mat 12:26 And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand?
Mat 12:27 And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out? therefore they shall be your judges.
Mat 12:28 But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.
Mat 12:29 Or else how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house.
Mat 12:30 He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.
Mat 12:31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
Mat 12:32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.
Is it possible that this unforgiven sin of blaspheming the Holy Spirit is something that disqualifies one to enter the kingdom of heaven? We know that those who have blasphemed the Hoy Spirit are not forgiven in the coming kingdom which implies that this sin follows the blasphemer into Jesus’ millennial kingdom. Speaking against Jesus is forgiven, but speaking against the Holy Spirit is not.
This brings us to the understanding that Satanas’ kingdom will be dissolved when Jesus becomes king of the cosmos. His followers, the fallen angels and other sons of the Elohim will be imprisoned for one thousand years. Then they will face the white throne judgment. Demons will be bound to the desert during the millennial kingdom. They will eventually be under Satanas’ control when Satanas is loosed after the thousand years, but will then be exterminated at the white throne judgment.
A young man who was rich wanted to know how to obtain eternal life. It is a good question.
Mat 19:20 The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet?
Mat 19:21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.
The rich young man was comfortable with his own riches. He did all the requirements of the law. So this is interesting because giving away his money would make him uncomfortable. But if he did then he would have treasure in heaven. In heaven?
Mat 19:22 But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.
Mat 19:23 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.
Jesus says it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. That is the inner place. But quite intentionally Jesus changes his words.
Mat 19:24 And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
First of all the word is not camel, it is rope. The two words look similar but one has an apostrophe. Jesus wasn’t being silly, he said rope, but now of course lots of people have made up all sorts of stories regarding this camel mistake.
Next Jesus says ‘enter the kingdom of Elohim’. Two distinct places. The kingdom of God is heaven, as opposed to death and hades. This distinction means that even with the low bar of simply confessing Jesus as Lord, rich men will hardly go to heaven. We can wonder and speculate, but we know why, we see it every day in our own time. Rich men believe that they are god.
Mat 19:25 When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved?
The disciples have the same reaction we have. We have the same questions they did.
Mat 19:26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
Mat 19:27 Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore?
We all would like to know too. There are a lot of people who have given up their own lives to serve Jesus.
Mat 19:28 And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
What is the regeneration? The word paliggenesia means to be “born again or spiritually re-birthed”. It is the new birth. What Jesus is pointing to is Pentecost, when people could get born again and be made new, spiritually, with the indwelling Holy Spirit. People who are born again will enter Jesus’ millennial kingdom. Every born again believer will have a new birth, being made incorruptible and immortal. The twelve who followed Jesus will sit on thrones in Jesus kingdom.
Mat 19:29 And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.
Mat 19:30 But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first.
We understand the idea of receiving a hundred times what was given up. And we understand everlasting life. We do not understand the first being last and the last being first. The unfortunate chapter conclusion breaks the context. The first, the people who have been serving a long time will be last?
Mat 20:1 For the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which went out early in the morning to hire labourers into his vineyard.
Mat 20:2 And when he had agreed with the labourers for a penny a day, he sent them into his vineyard.
We know the trouble here, we feel it ourselves. Everyone got paid a penny, the people working all day in the hot sun and the people only working the last hour of the work day all received the same pay. The workers who were working all day were upset because they did not receive more, but that is not what was agreed to. Therefore everyone who serves Jesus will receive the same whether they served years or days. Now Jesus says the key words here.
Mat 20:16 So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen.
Many are called but few are chosen. The length of time we serve makes no difference, we have to keep serving and not stop serving until death. This tells us that there is more that goes into being chosen to enter the kingdom of heaven. Look at the Lord’s army.
Rev 17:14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.
The Lord’s army are called, step 1, they answered His call. Chosen, step 2, they did the Father’s will. Faithful, step 3, they stayed faithful until their death. They did not stop serving and being faithful. This is a great example.
Mat 25:1 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.
Mat 25:2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
Mat 25:3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:
We know how this story goes. The five wise were prepared. They were ready. In our practical terms they had been serving and were ready to serve at any moment. Now the strange thing is if this was really about lights, we have to ask why it was necessary for everyone to have their own light? If we walk next to someone with a light we can see where we are going. The story is not about seeing where they were going. It is about each one having their own light. I cannot carry anyone else’s light we all have to have our own light. This is the key. Each one has their own light.
The foolish ladies had some light and oil, just not enough. They had to go buy oil in the middle of the night. Well that would be impossible as there weren’t 7-11’s in the first century. They would have to find someone to wake up to buy their oil from. Their original amount of oil was not enough. Instead of waking someone up to buy oil when they first heard that the bridegroom was on the way to get his bride, they slept. The second key here is sleeping. They didn’t have enough light and they slept until it was too late.
Mat 25:10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.
It seems that in order to enter the banquet everyone’s light was checked. Now by this time the foolish ladies had oil but they couldn’t go in.
Mat 25:11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.
Mat 25:12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.
Mat 25:13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.
The bridegroom doesn’t know the five foolish ladies. Why? They didn’t have their own light, they were asleep and didn’t have time to prepare. If this relates to us, we have time now to gain our own light/rewards, which will withstand the test of fire. We should prepare and not get tired just because he is taking a long time. When the Bridegroom comes he personally says that he doesn’t know the foolish ladies. If this is what the kingdom of heaven is like then we have some idea that we ourselves have to be prepared ahead of time because we do not know the day or the hour that Jesus is coming.
We want to understand that all are invited. Everyone on the earth is invited to enter heaven. Everyone on earth is invited to receive salvation. Everyone on earth is invited to redemption. Everyone. However not everyone is chosen for the kingdom of heaven, the place where the Father resides. Everyone who does the Father’s will is chosen to enter the kingdom of heaven. Whether we serve Jesus or not is our own decision. Jesus is coming for his army. His army has served faithfully. His army has withstood spiritual attacks. His army has learned to war against evil on earth. His army has battled and has become battle hard and is always battle ready. The army of the Lord is not the place for soft people.
As the scrolls are opened, men will kill men on the earth. The saved will either be in heaven or the kingdom of heaven. Then the trumpet judgments take place and Jesus is coronated as King of kings and Lord of lords. The kingdoms of the cosmos become His. Drakōn and Satanas are thrown out of the heavens to earth. The bowl judgments take place, the beast kills Babylon and then attempts to make war with the Lamb. Who is going to war with Jesus? The called, chosen, and faithful will be with him. If we would like to be part of this group then we have the choice. We can work for it now by the things we do to serve Jesus. We simply do whatever he calls us to do.
All the places in the cosmos have to be maintained and monitored. Jesus’ kingdom will need people to participate in its upkeep. Jesus’ earthly kingdom will need his servants to lead and his servants to rule with him, and his servants to teach the people about Jesus. Jesus will appoint kings over the nations who are like David, tenderhearted toward Yahweh, who spent time in spiritual battles, in prayer, in worship, and walked in the power of the Holy Spirit. The priests of the millennial temple will be of the Melchizedek order, Zadok/Zedek priests, as Ezekiel tells us. They will be teachers, prophets, and ministers. As the order of Melchizedek was, it will be again, but this time Jesus will be King and Lord of the Cosmos. To be continued.
