Sometimes when we search out history, what we find is “why” we are living
the way we are. The need for atonement
is the method for fixing the sin we live in. However that in itself does not
tell us the “what” or “why” of the sins.
What was the sin that brought the need for the Day of Atonement? What was the picture in the heavens that
ascribes to the sacrifice, and how does this all relate to us? There was a time when Angels disrobed their
heavenly bodies, came to earth, took wives from the humans, and taught the humans’
things that the Heavenly Father did not want man to know. This is the story of
how we ended up in need of the sacrifice and the heavenly picture of Jesus as
our sacrifice.
The Mazzaroth shows us three sacrificial animals, the goat, the ram, and
the bull. Each has a purpose for
sacrifice. The constellation Capricorn
tells us about the story of Jesus being the sacrificed goat to free the
redeemed. Before Jesus came to earth,
the need for sacrificing a goat, and letting a scapegoat free was the way to
make atonement for humans, but for what?
What was the actual sin of the humans that needed atonement? Some people
would say that all sins need atoning, therefore the scapegoat is for all sin,
but what we find when we search out history is that the scapegoat was for two
specific problems that humans learned from one particular angel named Azazael.
There was a group of angels led by one angel named Semjaza, who came to earth
together, mutually disobeying God, and assuming the punishment for all of them together
would be less severe. However out of all
of the fallen angels, one was singled out for all time because what he taught
humans was going to affect them for all their years on earth.
Enoch 6:1. And it came to pass when the children of men had multiplied that
in those days were born unto them beautiful and comely daughters. 2. And the
angels, the children of the heaven, saw and lusted after them, and said to one
another: 'Come, let us choose us wives from among the children of men and beget
us children.' 3. And Semjâzâ, who was their leader, said unto them: 'I fear ye
will not indeed agree to do this deed, and I alone shall have to pay the
penalty of a great sin.' 4. And they all answered him and said: 'Let us all
swear an oath, and all bind ourselves by mutual imprecations not to abandon
this plan but to do this thing.' 5. Then sware they all together and bound
themselves by mutual imprecations upon it. 6. And they were in all two hundred;
who descended ⌈in the days⌉ of Jared on the summit of
Mount Hermon, and they called it Mount Hermon, because they had sworn and bound
themselves by mutual imprecations upon it.
From
Enoch, we see there were 200 from the angelic class that came to earth onto Mt
Hermon. Their leader rallied them to
swear an oath to him that they would all be bound together. However, God did not punish them all
equally. Here is a life lesson for everyone;
if you make an allegiance with others to do something wrong, everyone may not
be punished to the same degree. Therefore punishment is still individually
based and yours could be more severe. There is no protection in numbers for
wrong doing. As all of the angels came
and took women as wives, some taught human kind things they did not know. Some
things may have been helpful but there were some things taught to humans that
shaped the entire world, and continue to influence the world, even today.
Enoch 8:1. And
Azâzêl taught men to make swords, and knives, and shields, and breastplates,
and made known to them the
metals 〈of the
earth〉 and the art of working them, and bracelets,
and ornaments, and the use of antimony, and the beautifying of the eyelids, and
all kinds of costly stones, and all colouring tinctures. 2. And there arose
much godlessness, and they committed fornication, and they were led astray, and
became corrupt in all their ways.
Azazael taught men to use the elements found in the earth to make weapons. He was the one who taught metallurgy. The
problem with this teaching was not in the extracting of the metals from the ground
but the production of weaponry. Life is sacred to God, and if we remember, Cain
was the first murderer. Cain was banished from the area and marked. After
Azazael’s teachings on how to make weapons, we now have a large number of
people being murdered. In the days of Jared, weapons were being made to kill
people and subdue others. Even though this generation was wiped out with the
flood, the knowledge was used after the flood by the sons of Ham. There is
something sacred about human blood. We
remember Abel’s blood crying out from the ground. We also know from satanic
rituals that demonic beings require blood for sacrifice. God also requires blood for sacrifice and the
first animal sacrifices were to make clothes for Adam and Eve. God requires
animal blood to cleanse us; satan wants human blood for his trophy case. There are a number of martyrs that has to be
fulfilled according to the book of Revelation, yet the significance of the
martyrs blood is that those who have laid down their lives for the gospel will
be avenged by God. The fact the Azazael taught people how to make weapons means
he must have taught them how to use them as well.
In the days of Jared people were profaning God (see Strong’s
#2490). What people? We have the sons of Cain as well as the sons
of Seth. Seth had some sons who defected
from their tribe to live with the sons of Cain. Something interesting to note
was that God did not give humans the ok to hunt and eat animals until after the
flood. Yet in Cain’s line we see Jabal
as the first one hoarding cattle. Why is
this significant? Instead of tilling the ground as God had commanded Adam,
Cain’s sons were eating flesh and not planting.
Cain has a lot of firsts in his lineage, and all of those firsts are
against Godly instruction. This would
tell us that the fallen angels were teaching the sons of Cain many things that
God did not want them to know. While Noah’s sons were grown men with wives at
the time of the flood, they were not immune to the way their society
functioned. After the flood, those
societies that “advanced” ahead of others were from the line of Ham. The Hamites, taught by Ham, carried on many
of the societal wrongs from before the flood. One post flood example would be
Nimrod. The contrast to the sons of Ham is the sons of Shem where Abraham
descended from.
Enoch 9:1. And then Michael, Uriel, Raphael, and Gabriel looked down from heaven and saw much blood being shed upon the earth, and all lawlessness being wrought upon the earth. 2. And they said one to another: 'The earth made †without inhabitant cries the voice of their crying† up to the gates of heaven. 3 ⌈⌈And now to you, the holy ones of heaven⌉⌉, the souls of men make their suit, saying, "Bring our cause before the Most High.".' 4. And they said to the Lord of the ages: 'Lord of lords, God of gods, King of kings, 〈and God of the ages〉, the throne of Thy glory (standeth) unto all the generations of the ages, and Thy name holy and glorious and blessed unto all the ages! 5. Thou hast made all things, and power over all things hast Thou: and all things are naked and open in Thy sight, and Thou seest all things, and nothing can hide itself from Thee. 6. Thou seest what Azâzêl hath done, who hath taught all unrighteousness on earth and revealed the eternal secrets which were (preserved) in heaven, which men were striving to learn: 7. And Semjâzâ, to whom Thou hast given authority to bear rule over his associates. 8. And they have gone to the daughters of men upon the earth, and have slept with the women, and have defiled themselves, and revealed to them all kinds of sins. 9. And the women have borne giants, and the whole earth has thereby been filled with blood and unrighteousness. 10. And now, behold, the souls of those who have died are crying and making their suit to the gates of heaven, and their lamentations have ascended: and cannot cease because of the lawless deeds which are wrought on the earth. 11. And Thou knowest all things before they come to pass, and Thou seest these things and Thou dost suffer them, and Thou dost not say to us what we are to do to them in regard to these.'
What
Azazael taught was called unrighteous.
He revealed the eternal secrets which men wanted to learn. There were
other angels who taught other things, herbs as medicines, astronomy, and
weather, but those things were not to the end of taking human life. Even when
Azazael taught women to wear jewelry and makeup it wasn’t for the killing of
humans, it was for the seduction of men and angels. This is why, to this day, Arab women cover
themselves with head scarves and many do not wear makeup. It was, and is, to protect them from the jinn
that may want to seduce them. The fallen angels taught herbal remedies, which
is most likely, the tea that many women drank to keep them looking young but
caused sterility, like Sarah. The fallen
angels also taught how the planets and stars orbit, as well as how the seasons
and weather affected them. Those things
did not cause the loss of life. What we
can derive about the sin of weaponry and war is that from God’s view it is
worse than any other secret taught to man.
Enoch 10:1 Then said the Most High, the Holy and Great One spake, and sent Uriel to the son of Lamech, and said to him: 2. '〈Go to Noah〉 and tell him in my name "Hide thyself!" and reveal to him the end that is approaching: that the whole earth will be destroyed, and a deluge is about to come upon the whole earth, and will destroy all that is on it. 3. And now instruct him that he may escape and his seed may be preserved for all the generations of the world.' 4. And again the Lord said to Raphael: 'Bind Azâzêl hand and foot, and cast him into the darkness: and make an opening in the desert, which is in Dûdâêl, and cast him therein. 5. And place upon him rough and jagged rocks, and cover him with darkness, and let him abide there for ever, and cover his face that he may not see light. 6. And on the day of the great judgement he shall be cast into the fire. And heal the earth which the angels have corrupted, and proclaim the healing of the earth, that they may heal the plague, and that all the children of men may not perish through all the secret things that the Watchers have disclosed and have taught their sons. 8. And the whole earth has been corrupted through the works that were taught by Azâzêl: to him ascribe all sin.'
Azazael
is punished forever, and on the great judgment day, he will be cast into the
lake of fire. Azazael corrupted the
whole earth, not just a small place for a short time, but the whole earth for
thousands of years. War and weaponry was
not God’s plan but in order for God’s people to not be consumed they now have
to amass weapons and fight against their enemies. This would be why Joshua was
told to wipe out the Nephilim, the domination of mankind that came from the
fallen angels. Joshua did not do this
and there have been added wars for Israel with the same descendants ever since.
If
we take a quick look at Proverbs 6 we find a group of people who are still
dominators of society today. They are
called the sons of Belial. If one would
do a word study on Strong’s # 1100 it will show who these people are, and where
they came from. Today, they are the same
people that are referred to by club type names, who plan ways to rule over the
masses, and control people, all while keeping their existence secret. They are
the members of secret societies. But Isaiah 2:4 and Micah 4:3 both declare that
there will be a day where humans do not learn war anymore.
Isa
2:4 And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and
they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into
pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they
learn war any more.KJV
Mic
4:3 He'll establish justice in the rabble of nationsand settle disputes in
faraway places. They'll trade in their swords for shovels, their spears for rakes
and hoes.Nations will quit fighting each other, quit learning how to kill one
another. (from THE MESSAGE: The Bible in Contemporary Language © 2002 by Eugene

Azazael
was buried in the desert and rough jagged rocks were put on him to cover
him. This is where the scapegoat
offering is made for humans. The word
scapegoat is the word Azazael. A
scapegoat is someone who is made to take the blame for others. Azazael is the
one taking the blame for our sin. Some bible translations use Azazael instead
of scapegoat such as the Aramaic. When
Moses was establishing the order for the temple sacrifices Aaron the high
priest was to make this sacrifice.
Lev
16:6-10 And Aaron shall offer his bullock of the sin offering, which is for
himself, and make an atonement for himself, and for his house.7 And he shall
take the two goats, and present them before the Lord at the door of the
tabernacle of the congregation.8 And Aaron shall cast lots upon the two goats;
one lot for the Lord, and the other lot for the scapegoat [Azazael].9 And Aaron
shall bring the goat upon which the Lord's lot fell, and offer him for a sin
offering.10 But the goat, on which the lot fell to be the scapegoat [Azazael],
shall be presented alive before the Lord, to make an atonement with him, and to
let him go for a scapegoat [Azazael] into the wilderness.KJV
The
Lamsa translation of Aramaic Peshitta of Leviticus 16:10 reads: But the goat on which the lot of Azazael
fell shall be presented alive before the Lord to make an atonement with it and
to send it away to Azazael into the wilderness. This goat, which was left
alive, truly symbolizes man’s atonement to Azazael, the one who caused man to
shed human blood. This was to be done on
the Day of Atonement, in the fall months, ten days after the New Year. It was
not God’s plan for humans to war and fight to be aggressive towards each other.
Many times, to define Israel, angels intervened on behalf of God’s people.
Lev
16:23-30 And Aaron shall come into the tabernacle of the congregation, and
shall put off the linen garments, which he put on when he went into the holy
place, and shall leave them there:24 And he shall wash his flesh with water in
the holy place, and put on his garments, and come forth, and offer his burnt
offering, and the burnt offering of the people, and make an atonement for
himself, and for the people.25 And the fat of the sin offering shall he burn
upon the altar.26 And he that let go the goat for the scapegoat [Azazael] shall
wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in water, and afterward come into the
camp.27 And the bullock for the sin offering, and the goat for the sin
offering, whose blood was brought in to make atonement in the holy place, shall
one carry forth without the camp; and they shall burn in the fire their skins,
and their flesh, and their dung.28 And he that burneth them shall wash his
clothes, and bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he shall come into the
camp.29 And this shall be a statute for ever unto you: that in the seventh
month, on the tenth day of the month, ye shall afflict your souls, and do no
work at all, whether it be one of your own country, or a stranger that
sojourneth among you:30 For on that day shall the priest make an atonement for
you, to cleanse you, that ye may be clean from all your sins before the
Lord.KJV
The ritual was to take the scapegoat to the hillside where all the jagged rocks were, and push it down the hill, so that the goat would run to the bottom of the hill. As it was doing this, the goats’ legs would get bloody from the rocks. People were stationed along the hillside and would wave a white cloth as the goat passed. On the top of the hill the priest would hold a scarlet string and when the goat got to the bottom of the hill the string would turn white, symbolizing the cleansing of all sin for the people. It is interesting that this sin offering was to be made on top of Azazael. Does this tell us that the sin of shedding human blood was a reminder to Azazael of what he had done, and that man would be found innocent of sin? Azazael is the one who takes the blame for the sins of war. When Jesus came, he became the scapegoat to atone for our sins. It was prophesied in the heavens long before Moses and Aaron established the Day of Atonement.
In the picture of the constellation of Capricorn we see a dying goat and a living fish. There is no such animal on earth, as we know, but in order to communicate the story of death and resurrection, God chose this picture for us. The dying goat is not the end, because the fish is alive after death. Let’s read from E.W. Bullinger’s Witness of the Stars.
Is not this exactly in accord with the
Scriptures of truth? There were two goats ! Of " the goat of the
sin-offering" it is written, "God hath given it to you to bear the
iniquity of the congregation, to make atonement for them before the LORD"
(Lev. x. 16, 17): of the other goat, which was not slain, " he shall let
it go into the wilderness " (Lev. xvi. 22). Here is death and
resurrection. Christ was "wounded for our transgressions, and bruised for
our iniquities." " For the transgression of MY PEOPLE was He
stricken" (Isa. liii.). He laid down His life for the sheep.
In the first chapter of the First Book we had
the same Blessed One presented as "a corn of wheat." Here we see Him
come to "die," and hence not abiding alone, but bringing forth "
much fruit" (John xii. 24). The living fish proceeds from the dying goat,
and yet they form only one body. That picture, which has no parallel in nature,
has a perfectly true counterpart in grace; and "a great multitude, which
no man can number," have been redeemed and shall obtain eternal life
through the death of their Redeemer.

Fish in the Mazzaroth always symbolize the redeemed. Not just from the church age but anyone who looked forward to Jesus’ coming, or anyone who believed that he has already come. Joseph Seiss expounds in his book Gospel in the Stars
The Church.
But it is at the same time a picture of another kind of life, developed out of this sacrificial death, and vitally conjoined with it. The body of the fallen and dying goat terminates in the body and tail of a vigorous fish. The living fish thus takes its being out of the dying goat, and has all its life and vigor from thence. Accordingly, the Coptic name of this sign signifies the station or mansion of bearing. In addition to the falling and dying, it is the sign of a mystic procreation and bringing forth. That which is brought forth is a fish, which is again a familiar and well-understood sacred symbol.
When Jesus called and appointed His first ministers He said, " I will make you fishers of men" (Matt. 4:19). So when God said He will bring the children of Israel again into their own land, His word was, " I will send for many fishers, and they shall fish them" (}er. 16: 15, 16). So in Ezekiel's vision of the holy waters the word was, " And there shall be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters shall come thither" (Ez. 47 : 1-9). Christ speaks of His saved ones as "born of water" (John 3:5). In the parable of the drag-net and in the miraculous draughts of fishes God's people are contemplated as fishes. Hence, in both Testaments fishes stand as the symbol of believers. "Fishes signify regenerate persons," says Dr. Gill. " Fish are those that are wrought upon and brought in by the Gospel, and are so called for six reasons," says Greenhill. " Fish are the men who have attained to life by the Messianic salvation," says Dr. Hengstenberg. The early Christians were accustomed to call believers Ichthues and Pisces — that is, fishes. In the name and titles of our Lord — "Jesus Christ, the Son of God, our Saviour'' — the initials in Greek form a word or name which signifies a fish, and hence the Fathers technically designated Christ as the mystic divine Fish, who in the waters of baptism begets the multitude of fishes — the congregation of His people. Christ is therefore at once the sacrificial goat of the sin-offering and the begetter of a body of reborn men, the Church, the congregation of the quickened and saved. The diction of the Scriptures thus answers exactly to the figure in this sign, which is the dying goat developed into a fish body.
The Mystical Union.
Even the great New-Testament doctrine of the Mystical Union of believers with their Saviour is here most strikingly signified. As men naturally are but reproductions and perpetuations of Adam, and live his life, so Christ's people are the reproduction and perpetuation of Christ, living His life. They are in Him as the branch is in the vine. They are repeatedly called His body, one with Him, "members of His body and of His flesh and of His bones." And so close and real is their life-connection and incorporation with Him that they are in a sense sometimes called "Christ." What, then, could better symbolize this than the sign before us? This goat and fish are one — one being, the life of the dying reproduced and continued in a spiritual product which is part of one and the same body* The goat of sacrifice sinks into a new creation, which is yet an organic part of itself. The image is grotesque, and has no prototype in Nature, but it is true, exact and graphic. The forgiveness and regeneration of men, and their incorporation with Christ, is something wholly above Nature — something altogether miraculous — which could not be adequately signified by any natural symbols; and so, as the double nature of the Redeemer himself was denoted by an arbitrary figure, half horse and half man, so the relation between Him as the Sin-bearer and His saved people, who live by virtue of His death, is denoted by another arbitrary figure, made up of a dying goat and a living fish. Nor is it in the power of human genius or imagination to devise another figure capable of setting forth more simply and truly the great and glorious mystery.
The
antediluvians had this picture and the star names to look ahead to a
savior. This knowledge was passed down
through Noah. It told the story of someone who would come to earth and be a
sacrifice for them. Just to look at the
context of Jesus’ death, Israel was occupied by Rome. Rome had used war and weaponry to dominate a
large portion of the world at that time.
The advent of roads brought easier travel throughout the Roman
Empire. Jesus was crucified for
everyone; anyone could believe. The
roads the Romans had built made it possible for the news of the crucifixion, and
Jesus’ resurrection, as well as the graves opening up with the dead walking
around attesting to Jesus going down to hell witnessing to the imprisoned
spirits, to travel all over the empire.
A short time later, the news of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit was
able to spread throughout the Roman Empire as well. What the devil had ment for an ending, the
crucifixion, and infrastructure, allowed it to actually be a beginning. This is the story of Capricorn, the dying
goat, the living fish.
Sadly
the answer is not to try and change the world to a “no war” society because the
demonic forces will never allow that. There will always be different people
groups that want to dominate others because that is the spiritual dynamic of
our world. If we remember satan’s words
to Jesus, offering Jesus all the kingdoms of the world if Jesus would bow to
him, we can understand that a “no war” push will not work while the world is
under satan’s dominion. Women could stop
coloring their hair, wearing jewelry, and makeup, but in progressive cultures
those women would be labeled homely.
Many people would not listen to the message of the cross from those
women. Somehow in modern thinking, a
natural woman is less credible than a made up one. So we can understand that the
instruction of Azazael is not something we can erase from our culture. Looking
at this globally, we recognize there are many wars, every day, all over the
world. The media chooses the ones we
hear about, but we cannot escape the fact that there are people dying from man
made weapons all over the world. That was not God’s plan for man, but it became
the dominate focus of our world. However, we have an arsenal for this very
purpose, and our weapons are mighty to the pulling down of strongholds.
Since
evil is not new, and there are those who intentionally worship evil spirit
beings, I would like to point out that there is intentional evil that people
enlist in. With the recent killing and sodomizing of Americans in Libya, we
might confused over the fact that the American diplomats, who helped to
overthrow the Libyan government, supplied the very weapons used against the
Americans who helped them. War is very
illogical because it is demonically inspired. There are evil conspirators on
every side. There are no “good” nations today; all nations are mixed with good
and evil people. Therefore the battle we have to wage is a spiritual one, to
subdue the demonic entities that influence humans to pursue witchcraft. Reread my series on witchcraft to learn the
details of what people do to take advantage of others.
Azazael
was the one who taught humans about war and all the blame is attributed to him.
We may remember the book The Art of War
by Sun Tzu as he and others have expounded on the subject. When Jesus came to
earth people thought he was going to overthrow Rome, but that was not why he
came. Jesus came and took all the blame of sin on himself when he was
crucified. He was not killed but instead
he laid down his life as a ransom for us.
Humans are very deceived as to the roots of war. Even worse are those
who think they can war against Jesus.
There must be a spiritual delusion over all those who think warring with
Jesus will somehow work in their favor, as we already know it won’t.
Rev
19:11-21 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat
upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and
make war.12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns;
and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.13 And he was
clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of
God.14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses,
clothed in fine linen, white and clean.15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp
sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a
rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of
Almighty God.16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written,
KING OF KINGS, AND Lord OF LordS.17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and
he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of
heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;18
That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of
mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the
flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.19 And I saw the
beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make
war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.20 And the beast
was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him,
with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them
that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire
burning with brimstone.21 And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that
sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls
were filled with their flesh.KJV
Jesus
will wage the last war with his heavenly armies, to bring an end to what
Azazael started. Then there will be no more war. Then there will be a time of peace.

The Goat always has the body of a fish in all
the Eastern spheres, and in those of Egypt. The Greek sphere has an eagle in
the Second Decan, with the end of the arrow; in the Third, the dolphin. In the
Persian sphere, in the Third there seems to be both a fish and
a stream of water.
