We
are entering into a year that has a most exciting message to the church. A
comet is bringing a message of heavenly knowledge to us. The constellations it
will pass through tell us to: take hold
of the promised souls, the Bride is getting ready for the Bridegroom. The King
is on the way and the harvest is ripe; the price has been paid and the conflict
is going to be settled, while the enemy will be pierced. The sheepfold will be set free from the
wolves. The five enemies will all be exposed, and the millennial kingdom will
be revealed. That is quite a message. But God does not simply give us knowledge
to be fat and happy; this is our prayer guide for the end time harvest. Utilizing prayers, supplications, and giving
of thanks, we can pray for the unsaved to receive true salvation.
What
would be a good way for God to get our attention? How could we best understand what he wants us
to know? His word is written in the scriptures, but scripture is (today)
unchangeable. Is it possible that God
would send a message, write us a note so to speak, for our day and time? Could
God make a grand announcement so that everyone can see, and would not be
subject to fallible men to rely on prophecy and word of mouth to communicate?
What has been the pattern in the church at large over the years in
communicating God’s plan has not been taught in every denomination due to
differences of the doctrines of man. But God doesn’t care to speak to just one
denomination, but to all of His people. This
is similar to a plane with a banner trailing behind, flying all over the world,
so that all could see and read the message. Several years ago we spoke of
praying for people groups all over the world so that the missionaries would be
effective in their witness. God is giving us the details for praying for the
lost, and the planets and stars are a wonderful guide to His plan.
Note
the diagram below using Stellarium as a back drop. The Comet ISON will come in from outer space
in Cancer and Gemini in a retrograde orbit, then join the ecliptic in Leo. It will pick up speed being at our closest
point in Scorpio, and then leave the ecliptic, moving out through Serpens and
Draco if it does not burn up.
To
some, the discovery of a new comet is an exciting event. There is a new sign, discovered on or about
September 24, 2012, the comet C/2012 S1 (ISON) and it’s on its way to naked eye
viewing in the next year. Some believe this comet will be similar to the comet
of 1680, visible in the daylight hours.
ISON will be making its closest approach to the sun November 29th
2013 approximately .987AU to earth and only .019AU to the Sun. An AU is an astronomical unit and an astronomical
unit is the measurement of the distance from the Earth to the Sun. This could
cause the comet to burn out as its closest distance to the sun is only 800,000
miles from the sun. But today the
predicted trajectory is quite interesting to look at as it comes in from the
constellation Gemini and later moves along the ecliptic but what is even more
fascinating is ISON’s path as it moves away from us. From the Book of Daniel we read about a time
near the end, before the millennial reign of Christ.

12:1-4 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth
for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as
never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy
people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.2
And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to
everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.3 And they that be
wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to
righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the
words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and
fro, and knowledge shall be increased.KJV
The
word knowledge in the text is the word daath
which is derived from the word yada
which is to ascertain, but daath has
included with it the word ha which
would denote the as in the knowledge. Therefore there will be an increase in the
knowledge. Not simply any knowledge but
in the context the knowledge of the word.
The words were shut up and sealed until the time of the end. In the mean
time many will be looking for it. They will search everywhere. Then the
knowledge will be increased.

12:4 But you, O Daniel seal these words and be silent, and seal this book even to the time
of the end; many shall want to know the end, and knowledge shall be
increased.
The
Aramaic might suggest that those wanting to know the end will find out about
it. From the Prophecy Forum by Larry Cockerham we have further understanding of
verse 4.
A secondary meaning of this verse has to
do with an inordinate fascination for knowledge concerning latter day
predictions concerning the Lord's return. According to many Bible scholars this
is truly the case. Lehman Strauss states: "Knowledge of the book of Daniel
is increasing and will continue to increase among the true believers in Christ,
and this will be followed by the same increase of knowledge among Jewish
believers in the tribulation."2 Walvoord states
that "in the Hebrew the word for "knowledge" is hadda'at, literally, "the knowledge,"
that is, understanding of this long prophecy. Some consider the sentence as
referring to the eyes of a reader running "to and fro" in reading the
Word of God (cf. 2 Chr 16:9)."3 William
MacDonald strongly supports the secondary meaning when he states, "it
teaches that many will study the prophetic Word and knowledge of it shall

I
would say that the one who continues reading this would be one who is hungry
for knowledge. Compared to Daniel, the
master astronomer and teacher of the Magi, we are just scratching the surface
of understanding how the heavens speak; day unto day they speak and night unto
night they show us knowledge. It would seem, in order to get our attention, so
that we look at the knowledge in the heavens, the Lord sent us a comet. This
comet will have a long tail and eventually will be visible during daylight
hours. We are used to seeing comets at
night, but rarely do we see one in the day.
The heavens show us knowledge in the day light hours; this is something
to pay attention to.
At
this present time ISON is in the constellation of Cancer. Cancer denotes holding onto something or
someone, as one hugging another. Also
like one who holds the seed. Holding on to many people as a shepherd would to
gather his sheep into a fold. In this
picture we have the greater and lesser sheepfolds and the ship bringing home
the weary travelers. God knew that in this day and time we would have computers
and computer programs to search the heavens.
Therefore it is no surprise to Him that we are seeing the position of
this comet as a message to those who are saved being brought into His
fold. That is the first message we are
gathering from ISON. Now for a disclaimer, we do not know when the Lord is
coming to gather His people, the episunagoge,
therefore this message could be literal, as he is coming now, or figurative, as
he is coming soon. How soon is anyone’s
guess as we simply don’t know.
From
January to August, 2013, ISON is in the constellation of Gemini. It is traveling into our near earth solar
system from the constellation of Gemini.
It would seem to start in a retrograde at the top of the head of Pollux
looping around the head of Castor and circling the midsection of Castor and
then the mid section of Pollux. By Mid July the comet starts moving very
quickly towards the ecliptic path and then moves onto Cancer. If this was all there was to ISON we could be
satisfied as to what the constellation and its retrograde is saying to us, but
there is much more to look at.
The understanding of this comet ISON
in Gemini is that as it is coming towards us, it is like a crown upon Pollux as
the bridegroom. The comet will encompass
Castor joining the two, as in marriage, one flesh. Therefore what the knowledge of the heavens
is declaring is that the Bridegroom is coming for His Bride. Our prayer target
therefore would be for the bride to make herself ready. Everyone should have
their oil in preparation for the Bride groom. Pictures of ISON are noted in the
four red markings.
In
2013 the Messianic Feasts occur earlier in the year than in 2012. Feast days, were important to the Lord so as
to cause people to look to Him. On
special days we should look to the knowledge of the heavens. Jesus’ triumph
over principalities and powers tells us he overcame the monsters surrounding
Pisces. On March 26th, 2013 we have
Passover, and while the Sun is in Pisces, it speaks of the redeemed. This is
not a time of sorrow but instead a time to rejoice, Jesus was our Passover
lamb, the ultimate sacrifice that died, but rose again after three days and
three nights in the grave. He redeemed us, and now we are the body of Christ.
Our target for prayer may include adding to the redeemed, adding to the bride.

or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath

This
is a time of year that the ancients were frightened of, as during the season of
Pisces there are five visible monsters in the sky over the course of the night,
with four visible at one time. We have
Cetus, Hydra, Draco, Serpens and Scorpio all visible in the night sky and
Passover is no exception. ISON is in
Gemini, which is pointing to the bride; it is a message for her. The Sun in Pisces
denotes the redeemed, the church, and at this time we see the band of Pisces
holding back Cetus, a picture that reminds us that as long as the body of
Christ is on the earth we are holding back evil. Along with the sun we have Venus, Mars, and
Uranus. These speak of the passion (the
redeemed), the war (for the redeemed), and the hidden secrets of heaven,
possibly our redemption completed. The
message and the deep things of earth (Mercury and Neptune) are about the Holy
Spirit being poured out, and the gifts given to the redeemed. This is a good
time for us to utilize those gifts in prayer. We are in the time of gathering
the harvest for the kingdom (Earth and Moon) and it is fully disclosed as
reflected by the full moon. We also see
the King coming in judgment to rule, and the breaking of the prideful one
(Jupiter and Ceres). Our rest and motivation to serve is in the understanding
that Jesus paid the price for us. This, as is always the case, is a good time
to reap the harvest of the redeemed using our gifts given by the Holy
Spirit. The monsters are still bound and
the King is coming, the bride is waiting for the bride groom. Pray these things
through for adding to the church and binding the enemy while praying for the
pouring out of the Holy Spirit on the redeemed.

falls on May 15th, 2013, and something very interesting is occurring
on this date.

With
several planets in Taurus, we see the Son coming to judge and rule; that’s the
message and the passion of the Messiah. While we are binding and crushing evil
on earth with the living water of the Holy Spirit, only a small portion of the
sheepfold is visible. Is it possible that only a few will be utilizing the
gifts of the spirit in a public way to keep back the enemy, while the rest of
the sheepfold wages war in the secret place? This could be an indication to
take the war to your prayer closet. We could be praying for the sheepfold, to
wage war from the secret places. The Lamb who was slain is coming, ready for
victory. The pride of the bride will be broken and she is to strengthen
herself. Pray for her humility. The church is to prepare for heaven because the
price that could not be paid by us was paid by Jesus. While we celebrate
Pentecost as the pouring out of the Holy Spirit on the Church, we can pray for
the church to gain a new perspective on the judge who comes to judge. The war over the Lamb who was slain is an
indication that we could pray for the unsaved to come to a saving knowledge of
Jesus who was slain and comes again as King.
While
the 9th of Av is not a feast day, it is an interesting day to see
what is occurring in the heavens. July 15th-16th is the 9th
of AV. The day commemorates the destruction of the first and second temple,
albeit 655 years apart on the same day.
The day also commemorates other tragedies in Jewish history and is a day
of fasting and mourning.

With
the Earth in Sagittarius and five bodies in Gemini it would seem that this is a
scary day; the war and message are for the bride, those who believe on Jesus
the Messiah. Incidentally, one would not have to mourn if one made Jesus Lord
of his life. Sometimes tribulations
bring people to Jesus; we could pray that the war brings forth the fruit of
salvations.

43:9-10 The beauty of heaven, the glory of the stars, an ornament giving light
in the highest places of the Lord.10 At the commandment of the Holy One they
will stand in their order, and never faint in their watches.KJV
By
August 1st, 2013, ISON is in the constellation of Cancer, and then
it continues to move towards the ecliptic.
While in the constellation of Cancer, the planet Mars starts to track
along with ISON. Rosh Hashanah starts September 5th, 2013. On the Feast of Trumpets, ISON is in Cancer
along with Mars. This is the start of the New Year. On this day throughout history people were to
be outside assessing whether or not they could see the sliver of the moon to
call it Rosh Hashanah. Then by two witnesses it would be confirmed and announced
by the Sanhedrin, blowing one hundred trumpet blasts to signal the New Year.
This is the time we speak of where no man knows the day or hour; because of the
lunar cycle it was not a set day every year.

This
heavenly message is a celebration as it is our new year and the birth of our
Messiah. The New Year starts with the
announcement of the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the messiah whose true identity
was not fully disclosed, the same one who was broken for our sins. ISON is
pointing out the sheepfold, this is where there is war, wolves entering in but
the Holy Spirit is being poured out in the earth. We can pray for the sheepfold to rise up in
the gifts and callings of the Holy Spirit. The Bride is rising up as a leader
because the price was paid and the church is holding back the enemy and deep
gifts are being poured out. We could pray for the wolves to be exposed and for
the harvest to be brought in, while the bride rises up in leadership over the
unsaved.

of Atonement, we have a slightly different heavenly message.

The
harvest is ready to be reaped; the kingdom ready to be built, the church continues
to hold back the sea monster. Pray it
through. The Messiah is going forth to conquer the enemies, three fourths of
his mission is revealed. The message is the harvest, the redeemed are blessed.
ISON is pointing out the sheepfold to us and the battle of wolves continues
there. Pray for none of the sheep to be lost. Ceres reminds us that The Lion
was wounded but it was His passion to pay the price for us. This is a great picture for reconciling
ourselves back to God. Pray again for the unsaved to hear about the Lord. The
only change in the message we have from Atonement to Tabernacles is the Moon in
Pisces is full possibly denoting the church is fully seen. At the end of Tabernacles the moon is waning
to ½ in the club of Orion and Mars is in Leo. Sounds like the weapon and the war
is of particular note to us and we can use the weapons in prayer.
We
may start to see ISON with our naked eye on October 14th, as we will
be able to find it along with Mars and Regulus in the constellation of Leo in
the early morning hours. September 24th
ISON enters into Leo but will be easy to spot because of Regulus. Its tail will
be visible as well.
Let’s look at the meaning of Leo. In Leo we see the Lion coming to destroy the enemy. The Lion treads on the serpent hydra, which is the meaning of the star Regulus, treading under foot. When we look at Mars which tells us of war, and Regulus, treading under foot, we see ISON pointing to the victory of the Lion of the tribe of Judah. Here we can offer prayers of thanksgiving for the knowledge of victory.
ISON
will be in front of Spica on 11/17/2013. Spica in Hebrew is Tsemech, the word means
branch, which is used four times of the Messiah in scripture giving us a clue
as to who he is.

righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute
judgment and justice in the earth.6 In his days Judah shall be saved, and
Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE

4:2 In that day shall the branch of the Lord be beautiful and glorious,
and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and comely for them that are
escaped of Israel.KJV
He
is called the Lord our righteousness, the Servant, his name will be The Branch and will build the Temple of
the Lord; and he will be the branch who is beautiful and glorious. This last
prophecy of the Messiah is a millennial prophecy. If ISON was sent to get our
attention, this is a great place to focus our meditations for a while. We can
pray that people get to know him as the righteous branch and make him Lord of
their lives.
On
November 1st ISON comes along the ecliptic in Libra and picks up
speed moving through three constellations in three weeks. ISON moves into Virgo
November 5th. On the 22nd
it moves into Libra and the 26th it moves into the claw of Scorpio.
The
constellation of Scorpio/Ophiuchus is where ISON is at its closest. This is
where it is at its greatest chance for extermination. It will also be the
brightest and easiest to see at this point.
The 29th of November 2013 is the day it is closest to the sun
and making a sharp turn back away from the Sun to tell a greater story. What day is November 28th 2013?
It is the American holiday called Thanksgiving.
But it is also another holy day, Chanukah, or the Feast of Lights. The message God is trying to tell us by using
this comet to address us, is that there is conflict on the earth in the time of
Scorpio the scorpion. The kingdom is suffering violence, pride and brokenness,
and the earth is under judgment. The message is that the price of sin had been
paid because the passion of the conqueror is coming. This time period denotes a
great time of concentrated prayer over the church and the unsaved. It may not be a bad time for fasting prior to
this date. As we engage the enemy in this time of battle we have to keep in
mind that he has been revealed to us as ISON is very visible, therefore it
would be wise to engage in corporate prayer for the subduing of this enemy.
During
the time of Ophiuchus an interesting phenomenon occurs in which a helium wind
is blowing from outer space. This helium wind does not hit the Earth but it may
add additional interest to the comet in the first few weeks of December.
Ophiuchus has been known for this helium wind which will be pulled by the
gravitational forces of the sun. With
ISON passing by the sun, and then out it may in fact pass through this helium
wind. While helium is an inert gas it would not react to ISON except to
possibly change its direction or the direction of its tail.

The
Festival of Lights, and Thanksgiving of 2013 will be the time we can see this
bright comet very well. On the 29th
of November, the comet will change directions and its tail will be ahead of the
comet as the tail of a comet points away from the sun. We will then need to reevaluate it’s
trajectory as it moves out into outer space. There seems to be war in the
kingdom and a breaking of pride. If ISON
does not break up, it will be very bright during November, brighter than the
moon. From November to January, ISON
will be visible in both hemispheres. The
projected course it will take through the constellations will continue through
Ophiuchus and run through the serpent Serpens. It will continue to move between
Hercules and Corona Borealis. It will be in Hercules for nine days, ending
around December 25th.
What
comes next is rather fascinating as ISON then moves through Draco from December
25th to January 1st. Will this be a time when the enemy
is exposed? Will it be a season of crushing the enemy? It remains to be seen,
but the neon sign that ISON brings to call attention to the knowledge written
in the heavens gives us hope and confidence in Him who called us. Pay attention to the signs and seasons, the
Lord is coming for His Bride but also as a warrior to subdue the enemy. As we wait for confirmation on ISON’s
trajectory, a plan can be made for prayer and intercession during this
time. As we know Christmas brings an
open door for us to freely speak of Jesus and his coming, this is a great time
to pray for the lost and pray for the binding of the enemies who blind their
minds. Solomon had great insight in the things of the Lord and he wrote about
the heavens.
Wisdom
7:15-19 God hath granted me to speak as I would, and to conceive as is meet for
the things that are given me: because it is he that leadeth unto wisdom, and
directeth the wise.16 For in his hand are both we and our words; all wisdom
also, and knowledge of workmanship.17 For he hath given me certain knowledge of
the things that are, namely, to know how the world was made, and the operation
of the elements:18 The beginning, ending, and midst of the times: the
alterations of the turning of the sun, and the change of seasons:19 The
circuits of years, and the positions of stars: KJV
Because
the Wisdom of Solomon is such a smooth and cohesive book it is a wonderful
read. Solomon was taught by the Holy
Spirit about heavenly knowledge. He tells us not to worship the things God made,
but to look at them and they will reveal God to us.
Wisdom
13:1-5 Surely vain are all men by nature, who are ignorant of God, and could
not out of the good things that are seen know him that is: neither by
considering the works did they acknowledge the workmaster;2 But deemed either
fire, or wind, or the swift air, or the circle of the stars, or the violent
water, or the lights of heaven, to be the gods which govern the world.3 With
whose beauty if they being delighted took them to be gods; let them know how
much better the Lord of them is: for the first author of beauty hath created
them.4 But if they were astonished at their power and virtue, let them
understand by them, how much mightier he is that made them.5 For by the
greatness and beauty of the creatures proportionably the maker of them is
seen.KJV
Remember
the Creator. He is the one we worship. The
time to share His message of the coming Messiah is now; the heavens are declaring
his coming. He is coming. During this time we have seen five enemies
pointed out. Firstly, we see Cetus bound by the church at Passover. Secondly,
we see Hydra stepped on by the Lion of the tribe of Judah just after the Fall
Feasts. We then see both Scorpio crushed and Serpens held back during the Feast
of Lights and Thanksgiving, and a few days following. Lastly, we see Draco
pierced between Christmas and New Years. I would say that ISON’s message is not
only about the redeemed bride in the fold, but also about the vanquishing of
the enemy.
