Whatever the Lord says will never return to him unfulfilled. Every word that Yahweh speaks has energy. His words are purposeful until they accomplish what he intends. There are no ineffective or empty hollow words when He speaks. What are the differences between the words logos and rhēma? There are intricacies to these words that we should be aware of. Logos is a masculine noun, while rhēma is a neutral noun. Logos is speech or utterance that is to lay forth or relate. Rhēma is something spoken, a saying that is to gush or flow like a stream. The differences are not in what the words are, but how they are given to the hearer. Logos is to everyone, rhēma is to individuals or groups. The logos is the broadly revealed word of the Elohim, which is the truth that explains and leads to salvation. The rhēma is a spoken word that is an inspiration for a specific person or group that leads to faith for salvation. Logos is salvation, rhēma is to lead to salvation. The right now rhēma we need will never come back empty. We have rhēma as a sword. Holy men spoke led by the Holy Spirit, both, logos and rhēma. How did people receive what was said? If it was logos, it would be written, factual, and the revealed word of the Elohim. If it was rhēma it would be spoken to someone specific. The teaching would be about the hearer, but it would not necessarily apply directly to us. The Elohim may speak a rhēma to us, yet he also may speak a logos to us for others. Rhēma should lead others to the logos. Let’s explore.
Yahweh tells us in Isaiah that his rhēma will fulfill or complete his purpose and will not return until it is finished.

“The exist the my rhēma this my go out from out of the my mouth no not me turn away until soever complete how much I will and prosper the your way and the my precept”
Some translations add the word “empty”, most eliminate it, but it is implied here in that the rhēma will be fulfilled and not fail.
Isaiah 55:11 (Brenton Greek) So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth; it shall not return, until it have accomplished that which I please, and I have prospered my ways, and my judgments.
The context here is the blessing of salvation at the end of the Day of the Lord and the millennial kingdom. Spoken rhēma here is for the Israelites. While we may reiterate that the rhēma does not return to Yahweh void, we cannot apply this to our own words. It only applies to His words. Also the promise is not made to the believer in Messiah, it is made to the people of Isaiah’s time period who will be brought back when Jesus reigns.
The word to focus on is rhēma. The spoken word for the specific people it is intended for.

We see that rhēma are words poured forth, and specific to the hearer. While we can learn that Yahweh’s thoughts and ways are higher than our thoughts and ways, his promise is for Israel to be a nation that other nations, which the Israelites have not heard of, will take refuge. Certainly we have all heard of every nation under the sun. This gives us the timing of the millennial reign.
We have to understand who passages of scripture are written to. Are they written to the born again believer in Jesus Messiah or are they written to Jacob’s heirs? Are the passages written to Jesus rejectors or are they written to people who want to know about Jesus? What era are the passages written for? Are they written for people before Jesus came to earth or after? Are they written for people who are saved or unsaved? Are they written for the church or the people left on earth after the harpazo?
1 Peter 1:25 G3588 But the G1161 G4487 word G2962 of the Lord G3306 abides G1519 into G3588 the G165 eon. G3778 And this G1161 G1510.2.3 is G3588 the G4487 word -- G3588 the G2097 good news being announced G1519 to G1473 you.
Peter tells us that the rhēma will abide into the ages. While the logos also abides into the ages, the specific promises of the rhēma for salvation abide into the ages. We should consider taking the promises made to the born again, spirit filled, believer of Jesus Messiah into higher regard than the promises made to others before Jesus came to earth and was crucified because the rhēma, the good news, is for salvation. We live in an age that offers salvation to everyone who believes, and this rhēma abides forever.
Matthew 4:4 G3588 G1161 And G611 responding G2036 he said, G1125 It has been written, G3756 Not G1909 by G740 bread G3441 alone G2198 shall [2live G444 1a man], G235 but G1909 by G3956 every G4487 word G1607 coming forth G1223 by G4750 the mouth G2316 of God.
We should not be as dependent on food as we are the rhēma of the Elohim. The rhēma that proceeds from the Elohim is our sustenance. If the rhēma flowing from the Elohim to the church for us is learned then we will be sustained by it.
Hebrews points out something very important for our understanding.
Hebrews 12:18 G3756 [3not G1063 1For G4334 2you have] come forward to G5584 [2being handled G3735 1 the mountain] G2532 and G2545 being kindled G4442 with fire, G2532 and G1105 to dimness, G2532 and G4655 to darkness, G2532 and G2366 to storm,
19 G2532 and G4536 to the trumpet's G2279 sound, G2532 and G5456 to the voice G4487 of utterances, G3739 of which G3588 the ones G191 hearing G3868 asked pardon G3361 [2to not G4369 3proceed G1473 4to them G3056 1 for the word];
In the wilderness, on the day of the Holy Convocation, when Yahweh told them that he would meet with them, they saw fire, darkness, lightning, and heard the voice of rhēma which scared them greatly. So they asked for a pardon from the logos, not to go to the mountain, and told Moses to go instead. They heard rhēma. The voices of rhēma. This is what Paul told us about in Thessalonians, the harpazo is the logos of Yahweh, and we were to comfort one another with this logos, 1 Thessalonians 4. In other words, the event of the harpazo is the logos of Yahweh, which is a mirror to this event. We are to comfort one another with this logos, this type and shadow. They heard the rhēma and asked not to have to fulfill the logos because they were scared.
John 6:63 G3588 The G4151 spirit G1510.2.3 is G3588 the one G2227 restoring to life, G3588 the G4561 flesh G3756 does not G5623 benefit G3762 anyone; G3588 the G4487 sayings G3739 which G1473 I G2980 speak G1473 to you -- G4151 it is spirit, G1510.2.3 G2532 and G2222 it is life. G1510.2.3
The Holy Spirit provides rhēma through Jesus, which restores life to the flesh. It can only restore life to the flesh of those who believe on Him. This is not written for the unbeliever.
John 6:68 G611 [4answered G3767 1Then G1473 5to him G* 2Simon G* 3Peter], G2962 O Lord, G4314 to G5100 whom G565 shall we go forth? G4487 [2 the words G2222 3of life G166 4eternal G2192 1You have].
This is the rhēma of eternal life. Peter knew Jesus had the rhēma they needed for eternal life. Who gets eternal life? The ones who believe that Jesus is the Messiah and that he rose up on the third day, not the Jesus rejectors.
Romans 10:8 G235 But G5100 what G3004 does it say? G1451 [4near G1473 5you G3588 1The G4487 2word G1510.2.3 3is], G1722 in G3588 G4750 your mouth G1473 G2532 and G1722 in G3588 G2588 your heart; G1473 G5123 (that is to say G3588 the G4487 word G3588 of the G4102 belief G3739 which G2784 we proclaim;)
9 G3754 that G1437 if G3670 you should acknowledge G1722 in G3588 G4750 your mouth G1473 G2962 the Lord G* Jesus, G2532 and G4100 should trust G1722 in G3588 G2588 your heart G1473 G3754 that G3588 G2316 God G1473 raised him G1453 G1537 from G3498 the dead, G4982 you shall be delivered.
10 G2588 For the heart G1063 G4100 trusts G1519 unto G1343 righteousness; G4750 and the mouth G1161 G3670 acknowledges G1519 to G4991 deliverance.
The rhēma is the rhēma of faith, and it is close in their mouth and heart. By faith in the rhēma people can hear the logos. These are Paul’s words to us, the church, these are the “magic words” so to speak. While this is not an incantation or spell, these magic words, if believed in the heart and confessed with the mouth, bring salvation to the individual. Paul is speaking these words to whoever chooses to believe on Jesus.
Abram comes back from battle, fighting alongside Sodom. He meets with Melchizedek (Shem) and refuses the king of Sodom’s offer of payment. After these words (rhēma) of Abram, Yahweh spoke (rhēma) to Abram.
Genesis 15:1 G3326 And after G1161 G3588 G4487 these words G3778 G1096 came G4487 the word G2962 of the lord G4314 to G* Abram G1722 in G3705 a vision, G3004 saying, G3361 Do not G5399 fear G* Abram, G1473 I G5231.3 will shield G1473 you. G3588 G3408 Your wage G1473 G4183 [3much G1510.8.3 1will be G4970 2exceedingly].
Abram had a vision and Yahweh gave him a rhēma of prosperity. This is an example where this rhēma is not applicable to us. We have not fought alongside Sodom and we have not turned down the kings payment. Therefore the promise of Yahweh being a shield and a great reward is not for us. It is specific to Abram. Here Abram is not concerned with riches because he has no heir. Yahweh then says (legō) that he will have an heir and his seed will be as the stars in the heavens.
Paul had an experience and heard rhēma that he cannot tell anyone about.
2 Corinthians 12:3 G2532 And G1492 I know G3588 G5108 such G444 a man, G1535 (whether G1722 in G4983 the body, G1535 or whether G1623 outside G3588 the G4983 body, G3756 I do not G1492 know, G3588 G2316 God G1492 knows),
4 G3754 that G726 he was seized by force G1519 into G3588 G3857 paradise, G2532 and G191 heard G731 [2not made known G4487 1sayings], G3739 which G3756 is not allowed G1832 G444 for a man G2980 to speak.
Paul was stoned and left for dead. His friends carried him out of the city and eventually he came back to life. When he did he could not tell people what he heard in Paradise. Paul was harpazo’d into paradise and heard rhēma that must have been inspiring for him to continue his proselytizing, yet he couldn’t tell us. Sometimes rhēma is just for one person and for that one alone.
Ephesians 6:17 G2532 and G3588 [2the G4030 3helmet G3588 G4992 4of deliverance G1209 1receive], G2532 and G3588 the G3162 sword G3588 of the G4151 spirit! G3739 which G1510.2.3 is G4487 [2word G2316 1God’s].
The sword of the spirit is the rhēma of the Elohim. It is a “right now” word for every battle we face. Some people like to quote other men. They teach based on what other men have said, therefore they believe what those men say is true. The only thing that is true is the rhēma of the Elohim. That means that each time and each situation our rhēma sword is different as per the Elohim. No magic words. No magic formulas.
People were sent from Cornelius to Peter so that Peter would speak a certain rhēma to them.
Acts 10:22 G3588 And they G1161 G2036 said, G* Cornelius, G1543 a centurion, G435 [2man G1342 1a righteous] G2532 and G5399 one fearing G3588 G2316 God, G3140 and borne witness G5037 G5259 by G3650 the entire G3588 G1484 nation G3588 of the G* Jews, G5537 received a divine message G5259 by G32 [2angel G39 1a holy] G3343 to fetch G1473 you G1519 unto G3588 G3624 his house, G1473 G2532 and G191 to hear G4487 words G3844 from G1473 you.
Cornelius did not want to hear about the weather or Peter’s political opinions. He wanted to hear rhēma of life. Specific words. Rhēma. When Peter spoke to Cornelius and his household something new happened.
Acts 10:44 G2089 While G2980 [2 was speaking G3588 G* 1Peter] G3588 G4487 these things, G3778 G1968 [4fell G3588 1the G4151 3spirit G3588 G39 2holy] G1909 upon G3956 all G3588 the ones G191 hearing G3588 the G3056 word.
The rhēma spoken by Peter caused the Holy Spirit to fall on all the people listening to the logos. Some words that Peter spoke were rhēma and some the logos. Whatever was said, the Holy Spirit baptized them with unacquired languages.
Acts 11:13 G518 And he reported G5037 G1473 to us G4459 how G1492 he beheld G3588 the G32 angel G1722 in G3588 G3624 his house, G1473 G2476 standing G2532 and G2036 having said G1473 to him, G649 Send G1519 [2unto G* 3Joppa G435 1men], G2532 and G3343 fetch G* Simon, G3588 the one G1941 called G* Peter!
14 G3739 who G2980 shall speak G4487 words G4314 to G1473 you G1722 by G3739 which G4982 you shall be delivered, G1473 you G2532 and G3956 all G3588 G3624 your house. G1473
15 G1722 And in G1161 G3588 G756 my beginning G1473 G2980 to speak, G1968 [4fell G3588 1the G4151 3spirit G3588 G39 2holy] G1909 upon G1473 them G5618 as G2532 also G1909 upon G1473 us G1722 in G746 the beginning.
16 G3403 And I remembered G1161 G3588 the G4487 saying G2962 of the Lord, G5613 how G3004 he said, G* John G3303 indeed G907 immersed G5204 in water, G1473 but you G1161 G907 shall be immersed G1722 in G4151 [2spirit G39 1holy].
17 G1487 If G3767 then G3588 [4the G2470 5equal G1431 6present G1325 2gave G1473 3to them G3588 G2316 1God] G5613 as G2532 also G1473 to us G4100 having believed G1909 on G3588 the G2962 Lord G* Jesus G5547 Christ, G1473 then I, G1161 G5100 who G1510.7.1 was I G1415 to be able G2967 to restrain G3588 G2316 God?
This is an example of a rhēma spoken to a specific group. Peter spoke to Cornelius’ household and the Holy Spirit fell on them. The rhēma Peter spoke was for them. Peter did not write down the specific words that he said, but he wrote in general about the result. Peter spoke rhēma and they believed the logos. We cannot say the “magic words” that Peter spoke here because he didn’t tell us what they were. Maybe that is the point. There are no “magic words”, just rhēma for the exact time when it is spoken that should lead to the logos. If we tried to apply “magic words” they would have to be logos, because that is for everyone, for all time.
Human rhēma should be established by two or three others.
2 Corinthians 13:1 G5154 This third time G3778 G2064 I come G4314 to G1473 you. G1909 By G4750 the mouth G1417 of two G3144 witnesses G2532 and G5140 three G2476 [3is established G3956 1every G4487 2saying].
If someone has to make a declarative statement regarding a church situation, two or three people should be present to hear the rhēma. Paul says he is speaking and there are two witnesses, three of them in total, establishing the rhēma he is giving. Peter tells us to remember what the apostles, prophets, and the Lord said.
2 Peter 3:2 G3403 to remember G3588 the G4280 before described G4487 sayings G5259 by G3588 the G39 holy G4396 prophets, G2532 and G3588 of the G3588 [7the G652 8apostles G1473 6of us G1785 1commandment G3588 2of the G2962 3Lord G2532 4and G4990 5deliverer].
3 G3778 This G4412 first G1097 knowing, G3754 that G2064 [2will come G1909 3at G2078 4 the last G3588 5of the G2250 6days G1703 1mockers], G2596 [2according to G3588 G2398 3their own G1473 G1939 4lusts G4198 1going],
Remember the rhēma of the prophets and the apostles. This is not written to the non-believers, the Jesus rejecters, the governing officials, political authorities, or the Jews. We, the ekklesia, are to remember the rhēma of the prophets and apostles. Peter and Jude must have been in a church service together and later wrote the same suggestions in their letters.
Jude 17 G1473 But you G1161 G27 beloved, G3403 remember G3588 the G4487 sayings! G3588 the ones G4280 being described beforehand G5259 by G3588 the G652 apostles G3588 G2962 of our Lord G1473 G* Jesus G5547 Christ.
18 G3754 For G3004 they said G1473 to you, G3754 that G1722 in G2078 the end G5550 of time G1510.8.6 there will be G1703 mockers G2596 [2according to G3588 3their own G1438 G1939 4desires G4198 1going] G3588 of the G763 impious deeds.
The warning is for the ekklesia, the beloved in Christ. Notice what Jesus said to the Jews.
John 5:45 G3361 Do not G1380 think G3754 that G1473 I G2723 accuse G1473 you G4314 to G3588 the G3962 father! G1510.2.3 there is G3588 the one G2723 accusing G1473 you -- G* Moses, G1519 in G3739 whom G1473 you G1679 hope.
46 G1487 For if G1063 G4100 you believed G* Moses, G4100 you would have believed G302 G1473 in me; G4012 for concerning G1063 G1473 me G1565 that one G1125 wrote.
47 G1487 But if G1161 G3588 G1565 in that one's G1121 letters G3756 you believe not, G4100 G4459 how G3588 G1699 [2in my G4487 3sayings G4100 1shall you believe]?
Did they believe Moses’ letters? Only the convenient parts. Later, the words that Moses wrote would be altered by the Masoretes because they reject Jesus as Messiah. Therefore in actuality they do not believe all of Moses’ rhēma, nor the logos of the Elohim. So Jesus does not need to judge the Jews, they judge themselves.
John 12:47 G2532 And G1437 if G5100 anyone G1473 should hear of my G191 G3588 G4487 sayings, G2532 and G3361 should not G4100 believe, G1473 I G3756 do not G2919 judge G1473 him; G3756 for I did not G1063 G2064 come G2443 that G2919 I judge G3588 the G2889 world, G235 but G2443 that G4982 I should deliver G3588 the G2889 world.
48 G3588 The one G114 disregarding G1473 me, G2532 and G3361 receives not G2983 G3588 G4487 my words, G1473 G2192 has G3588 the thing G2919 judging G1473 him -- G3588 the G3056 word G3739 which G2980 I have spoken, G1565 that G2919 shall judge G1473 him G1722 in G3588 the G2078 last G2250 day.
Jesus again says that if someone hears his rhēma and doesn’t believe, then he does not need to judge that one because the logos that Jesus spoke judges him in the last day. The logos will be the standard for judgment. The logos is what it is. The logos is the standard for all humans. Jesus spoke a rhēma but people are not judged by Jesus, they are judged by the logos.
Again the difference is who the hearer is. The logos is for everyone for salvation, the rhēma is for the group or individual hearer at the time. We remember the rhēma of the apostles, prophets, and Jesus, as a guide.
Rhēma was given to Jeremiah, but also the logos of the Elohim.
Jeremiah 1:1 G3588 The G4487 saying G3588 G2316 of God G3739 which G1096 came G1909 unto G* Jeremiah G3588 the G3588 son of G* Hilkiah, G1537 of G3588 the G2409 priests G3739 who G2730 dwelt G1722 in G* Anathoth G1722 in G1093 the land G* of Benjamin.
2 G5613 As G1096 [3came G3056 1 the word G3588 G2316 2of God] G4314 to G1473 him G1722 in G3588 the G2250 days G* of Josiah G5207 son G* of Amon G935 king G* of Judah, G2094 [4year G5151.2 3thirteenth G1722 1in G3588 2the] G932 of his kingship. G1473
Here we see our distinction with the usages of rhēma and logos. Jeremiah was very specific in the words he used. There are rhēma for Jeremiah himself, which he did not share here, and logos for Judah which he does share. Yahweh Elohim goes on to tell Jeremiah some things that Yahweh wants the house of Jacob to know.
Jeremiah 1:4 G2532 And G1096 [3came G3056 1 the word G2962 2 of the lord] G4314 to G1473 me, G3004 saying,
5 G4253 Before G3588 G1473 my G4111 shaping G1473 you G1722 in G2836 the belly G1987 I knew G1473 you; G2532 and G4253 before G3588 G1473 your G1831 coming forth G1537 from out of G3388 the womb G37 I sanctified G1473 you; G4396 [3prophet G1519 4unto G1484 5nations G5087 1I appointed G1473 2you].
Yahweh Elohim establishes Jeremiah as a chosen prophet for Judah by His logos. As Yahweh continues into chapter 2, he gives more rhēma to Jeremiah which Jeremiah does reveal. Notice how this does not apply to us, we are not to yell in the ears of Jerusalem.
Jeremiah 2:1 G2532 And G1096 came to pass G4487 the word G2962 of the lord G4314 to G1473 me, G3004 saying,
Yahweh Elohim gave Jeremiah rhēma, directions for Jeremiah himself, which does not to apply to us. Then we see Yahweh’s logos to Jacob.
Jeremiah 2:4 G191 Hear G3056 the word G2962 of the lord, G3624 O house G* of Jacob, G2532 and G3956 every G3965 family G3624 of the house G* of Israel!
We gain an appreciation of these two words when we read them specifically and accurately in the context of Jeremiah. Some things the Lord says, logos, is for all. Some things the Lord says, rhēma, are for the individual/s.
Jeremiah 5:14 G1223 On account of G3778 this, G3592 thus G3004 says G2962 the lord G3841 almighty, G446.2 Because G2980 you spoke G3588 G4487 this word, G3778 G2400 behold, G1473 I G1325 have given G3588 G3056 my words G1473 G1519 into G3588 G4750 your mouth G1473 G4442 as fire, G2532 and G3588 G2992 this people G3778 G3586 as wood, G2532 and G2719 it shall devour G1473 them.
This judgment is on Jerusalem because they did not repent. We cannot appropriate this to our lives because we are not living before the captivity into Babylon, we are believers in Jesus Messiah. Therefore when people say that “God is punishing the United States” they are incorrect, this rhēma is for Jerusalem and the logos is their judgment for un-repentance. This is important to understand as many people try to apply old covenant rhēma to the new covenant era.
Nebuchadnezzar’s dream inspired him to say this as he begged Daniel for the interpretation.
Daniel 4:17 G1223 [3through G4792.3 4 the interpretation G1513.1 5of a sentinel G3588 1The G3056 2word is], G2532 and G4487 the saying G39 of holy ones G3588 the G1906 response, G2443 that G1097 [3should know G3588 1the ones G2198 2living] G3754 that G2962 the lord G1510.2.3 is G3588 the G5310 highest G3588 of the G932 kingdom G3588 G444 of men, G2532 and G3739 to whom G1437 ever G1380 it should seem good G1325 he shall give G1473 it, G2532 and G1847.1 [4 that which is in contempt G444 5of men G450 1he will raise up G1909 2over G1473 3it].
The logos through the interpretation of a sentinel and the rhēma of the holy saints is that Yahweh is the highest over the kingdoms of men. Nebuchadnezzar came to recognize that he had someone over him, Yahweh.
After Daniel’s vision of the Ancient of Days he sees different kingdoms and beasts. He is told that the kingdom under heaven is given to the saints of the Most High whose kingdom is everlasting and that all archē will serve and obey the Most High. Daniel says this:
Daniel 7:28 G2193 Unto G5602 here G3588 is the G4009 end G3588 of the G3056 matter. G1473 I G* Daniel, G1909 very much G4183 G3588 the G1261 thoughts G1473 of mine G4928.4 disturbed me, G1473 G2532 and G3588 G3444 my appearance G1473 G241.2 changed G1909 upon G1473 me, G2532 and G3588 the G4487 matter G1722 [2in G3588 G2588 3my heart G1473 G4933 1I preserved].
Here is the end of the logos. This is the written down logos for everyone to know. The kingdom is given to the saints of the Most High God. His kingdom is eternal and all rulers will serve and obey Him. This disturbed Daniel so he preserved the rhēma in his heart. Now Daniel has another interesting experience. Gabriel tells Daniel about the seventy weeks.
Daniel 9: 23 G1722 In G746 the beginning G3588 G1162 of your supplication G1473 G1831 [3went forth G3588 1the G3056 2word], G2532 and G1473 I G2064 came G3588 G312 to announce G1473 to you; G3754 for G435 [2a man G1939 3desired G1510.2.2 1you are]. G1473 G2532 And now G1770.1 reflect G1722 in G3588 the G4487 matter, G2532 and G4920 perceive G1722 in G3588 the G3701 apparition!
Gabriel says that when Daniel was praying the logos came forth and Gabriel is now going to tell Daniel. Daniel is to reflect on the rhēma and consider the vision. The logos came forth. This tells us that Gabriel heard from the Elohim. The logos of the Elohim was given to Gabriel and he spoke it to Daniel. He tells Daniel to meditate in the rhēma for understanding this vision. We see the clear differences between rhēma and logos. Daniel might not have fully understood the seventy weeks but we are much closer to its full understanding as the knowledge of the logos increases.
As we see with Daniel the rhēma comes in visions, from angels and in dreams, as Nebuchadnezzar had. Jesus now enlightens us that not every rhēma is from the Elohim, but can be from people lying.
Matthew 5:11 G3107 Blessed G1510.2.5 are you G3752 whenever G3679 they should berate G1473 you, G2532 and G1377 persecute, G2532 and G2036 shall say G3956 every G4190 wicked G4487 saying G2596 against G1473 you G5574 in lying, G1752 because of G1473 me.
Again, rhēma is not always from the Lord, yet it will be held to judgment. People should be careful not to speak thoughtless, idle, unprofitable, or injurious words.
Matthew 12:36 G3004 But I say G1161 G1473 to you G3754 that G3956 every G4487 [2saying G692 1rough], G3739 which G1437 ever G2980 [2shall speak G3588 G444 1men], G591 they shall render G4012 for G1473 it G3056 a reckoning G1722 in G2250 the day G2920 of judgment.
Every rhēma will be judged. While we the ekklesia are not judged to lose our salvation we may be judged to lose rewards.
David inscribed this on a monument.
Psalm 56:10 G1909 Unto G3588 G2316 God G134 I will praise G4487 by discourse; G1909 unto G3588 the G2962 lord G134 I will praise G3056 by word.
David will praise the Elohim by rhēma, and praise Yahweh with logos. David will praise using his own words, inspired or not, and praise with the logos the word of Yahweh. What he is suggesting is that we too can use our rhēma to praise, and the logos to praise.
If we can make a mental note in our studies whether we are looking at rhēma or logos it will give us more understanding as to what and to whom things are being spoke to. The rhēma is “words gushing forth”, sometimes from Yahweh, angels, or people. The logos is the laid forth revealed will of the Elohim. Sometimes the Lord speaks to us for us alone, which is rhēma to us. If we can look at the context and determine who the words are being spoken to then we will understand our position as the church far better. In the mean time we can praise Yahweh Elohim with rhēma and logos.
