There are some writers who craft stories that become so successful that there have to be prequels, sequels, and addendums. This is what we experience with the events at the end of our age. Each add-on is taken separately as its own story, but also connects to a bigger story. Daniel was given several important messages for us which help explain the lead up to the tribulation. Gabriel tells Daniel about the coming Messiah. Daniel says he will be known as a prophet. He will accomplish several important things and then be extinguished. Then Gabriel jumps to the later events of the tribulation. There is a two thousand year period of time that is a pause in the story that Gabriel is telling. It is a time that angels, principalities, powers, Satanas, Dracōn, and many prophets, wished to look at. They wanted to know what was going to take place during this time period but it was not disclosed. The entire universe found out after the prophet Messiah was murdered at the direction of the Jewish religious leaders, that the gap period would begin with the anointing on Pentecost with the coming of the Holy Spirit indwelling humans. Because the Masoretes changed the calendars and many prophecies in an attempt to make someone else the Messiah, our dating became confused. Once we put the pieces back where they belong we can now understand that Daniel was actually covertly telling us without plainly telling us what was going to happen.
The angel Gabriel came to give Daniel insight, wisdom, and understanding regarding the future. Imagine Daniel praying and repenting for himself and his nation when Gabriel visits. Daniel realizes that they are in captivity for seventy years, but Gabriel is explaining what takes place after they are no longer captives in Babylon. What Daniel is told is not happy, jump for joy, type news. It is heartbreaking because Daniel realizes that his people are greatly severed from Yahweh Elohim and will not repent and receive the Messiah when he comes.

The contract is for 490 years on the people and on Jerusalem to entirely complete sin, seal sin, eliminate lawlessness, atone for injustice and bring justice. This is what Jesus Messiah did by his own blood. This is still a work in progress as we still have lawlessness and un-atoned injustice, but the contract is sealed, meaning it is all going to be fulfilled. Now the second part of this verse needs to be looked at more closely.
"and the seal visions and prophet and the (to) anoint holy saints”
The vision Daniel sees is sealed. Now we have a discrepancy here as some translations try to change the word G4396 προφητην meaning “prophet” to G4394 “prophecy”. The word is prophet. This is one of those subtle alterations that we might overlook as a simple error but it is not, it is intentional in its attempt to erase Jesus as Messiah. The Messiah, Jesus, is and was called “the prophet”. The coming Messiah would be a prophet. The seal of the vision is that the coming Messiah, prophet, is going to happen.

We see both before and after Jesus’ death that he was called “a prophet”. Jesus is the prophet that they were waiting for. The one who would be their Messiah. If we change the word from prophet to prophecy, then we change the meaning of the next part of the statement. The Masoretic translators kept trying to eliminate Jesus and allow for anyone to become a Messiah without fulfilling the requirements and prophecies that Jesus fulfilled. But we will see that this prophet Messiah is going to do something that no one else can.
Now we can look at the word “anoint”. Robins Morphological Analysis for anoint is χρισαι V-AAN. The word is in the aorist tense meaning it is in the past tense without reference to duration or completion. This will be important to understand momentarily. It is in the active voice meaning the subject is the one preforming the action, in this case the prophet or Messiah is the subject. The infinitive mood means this verb would be understood as “to anoint”. The prophet is anointing without respect to duration or completion. In other words the prophet is still anointing.
Now we come to the discrepancy of the words “holy holy”. Some translations use G39, but this is not speaking of things or places, it is speaking of people, saints, so in this case G40 is accurate. It reads holy saints αγιον αγιων it is the understanding of saints, people. The place of the holy of holies was ritually anointed with holy oil to consecrate the tabernacle and its furnishings. Now some people would take the physical route here and claim that this prophet will anoint the physical temple during the millennial period spoken of in Ezekiel. But there is a more accurate understanding we have to look at due to the word usage.
The Messiah anoints the temples now, the ekklesia, the people, holy saints, who follow Him, with the anointing of the Holy Spirit. We are anointed and we have the anointing. This is why the aorist tense specifies that it is a past tense with out reference to duration or completion being enacted by the subject, the prophet. The Ezekiel temple would have a specific time of completion. Daniel’s sealed vision was the prophet anointing his people. When? When they believe. It is not a one time event as in the Ezekiel temple, it is an ongoing event. Notice what John tells us.

Daniel saw that the Messiah would anoint the holy saints. This is a problem for the Messiah rejectors because while many Jesus rejectors believe themselves to be the special chosen of the Elohim, they themselves are not anointed with the Holy Spirit. Yet the vision Daniel had was that the holy saints would be anointed by the prophet Messiah.
What a heartbreaking realization Daniel must have had. He was in captivity, he was made a eunuch, he would never return to his homeland because of his vassal uncles and the sins of his nation, and now he sees that the prophet Messiah will come and his people will reject him. What a deep sadness Daniel must have had.

Four hundred and eighty three years, from Daniel to Christ, 173,880 days, of a three hundred and sixty day calendar. The calendar was to be on a solar cycle, as Jubilees/Moses told us via the angel. Yet by this time, the Israelites changed to a lunar calendar. The prophecy given to Moses was to stay on a solar cycle or the people would not keep the appointed holy days at the correct time. The reason is that the other sons of God celebrate on certain days and times and Israel was to celebrate on those days as well. The Essenes, Nazarenes, Therapeutaes, the Damascus Community, and Prophets all kept a solar calendar of 360 days.
Gabriel gives the exact date that the prophet Messiah/Christ would come. He says to count from the rebuilding of the wall. The word εκκενωθησονται translated “are evacuated” or “will be evacuated” is a future tense, passive voice, indicative mood, third person plural. This is a statement of fact about something that happens in the future, after the wall and streets are built up yet evacuated in the proper time. Who was evacuated in the proper time?
The Assideans left Jerusalem for Damascus Syria prior to the Messiah. Daniel was of the Assideans and a leader and teacher of the Magi in Babylon. Jesus and John were both of the Assideans, Nazarite's, and Essenes, both attending Essene schooling. Jesus and John were well versed in Daniel’s vision. Daniel understood that the Messiah would be born on a specific date, which he later taught the Magi to look for, and then be declared Christos/Messiah on a specific date. Jerusalem would be built up until the Messiah came. They will build the walls and the streets by the sixty nine weeks. The evacuation would be in 70 AD when the Jews were thrown out of Jerusalem and the temple destroyed. Later the Ottomans built a wall around Jerusalem which still stands.

Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey April 6th, 32CE. Then Jesus was executed.
Daniel 9:26 after the sixty-two weeks, the anointed one shall be destroyed, and there is no judgment in him: and he shall destroy the city and the sanctuary with the prince that is coming:
This took place in 70CE and continues until the appointed desolations are fulfilled.
Daniel 9:26 they shall be cut off with a flood, and to the end of the war which is rapidly completed he shall appoint the city to desolations.
Jerusalem was cut off like a flood at the time of the civil war between the zealots and the people of Jerusalem. The zealots called in the Idumeans who were deceived into fighting against the people of Jerusalem. Finally the Romans stepped in and destroyed the temple, and then banned the Jews from Jerusalem. This forced the Jews to relocate all over the region. Some set up a school, a yeshiva, near what is known today as Tel Aviv. Since Jews were not allowed to live in Jerusalem, they simply went elsewhere.
The first statement “And amid the weekly the sixty two is exterminated anointing and judgment no not exist in him” is Jesus, the only Messiah exterminated or executed for the people. There was no judgment or lawlessness in Him. Between this statement and the next lies an interval. A period of time. Keep in mind that there was no punctuation or chapter and verses when Daniel wrote this. This sentence would have been better understood in verse 25, while the second statement is a new subject connecting to verse 27. We are living in this interval now. The time between Jesus’ crucifixion and the coming of the new leader/abbot. This is the time period when the prophet Messiah/Christos anoints the holy saints. People will continue to confess Jesus as Lord and believe that the Elohim rose him up on the third day until the harpazo. The anointed saints are then harpazo’d.
Let’s think about the interval we see here. It is no longer a mystery because Daniel already told us that the prophet was to anoint the holy saints. This is the age we live in. Some people disregard dispensations but they are clearly set forth in the logos. Luke 19 tells us that the Jews missed the time of his visitation. Romans 11 tells us the mystery of the Jews’ blindness is until the number of the nations are saved. The dispensation or administration of the mystery is the age we live in.

The anointed Messiah, the prophet Christ, is in the process of gathering together everything in heaven and earth. This is why the prophet anoints the holy saints without respect to duration or completion. Daniel did not say that after a certain number of people are anointed the Messiah would conclude the age, nor did he say that there was a date of completion, meaning Jesus will be gathering people to him into the ages. People born during the millennial kingdom will have a choice to make. There is no set duration of time, meaning that even at the end of the millennium Jesus will still be gathering people to himself. The “administration of the fullness of times” also called “the administration or dispensation of grace and the administration of the mystery”.

We see here that the LXX-WH changes the word “fellowship” to “administration”. This is the administration of the mystery. Colossians 1:25 says the same thing,“this I became servant downwards the administration the Elohim”. What is this administration? An administration oikonomia, is a “household or an estate”. It is a “stewardship or a dispensation”. We can think of it like presidential administrations. It is a time period where things run a certain way with specific leadership. When the next president gets elected the entire administration changes, new people are hired and the direction that group of people takes may be different than the last administration. This administration changes when the saints are harpazo’d and Satanas rules the earth. Then the administration will change again when Jesus rules during the millennial reign. The administration will change again with the new heaven and new earth.
We live during the time of the administration of the mystery, also known as an “administration of grace”. We did not do anything to earn the Christ in us. We did not earn the privilege of the Holy Spirit dwelling in us. We simply believed and before we understood it fully we were revealed in glory and honor.

Why bother making the multifarious wisdom of the Elohim known to the loser fallen principalities and powers? They were not told ahead of time, but think about what Paul is saying. From the day of Pentecost, as people believed on Jesus as Yahweh and believed that he rose up on the third day, the individuals in the ekklesia looked like lightbulbs turning on all over the earth. Looking down from the heavens as glory lights keep turning on, over and over. This is when the fallen principalities and powers found out how truly dumb they were for their mutiny.
The ekklesia is made visible and makes known, that it is Christ in us, and we are His body.

We are displayed like show-bread, downward from heaven to earth. We are set forth like the show-bread in the temple. We are his consecrated who are made visible. Just as the Elohim could see the show-bread in the tabernacle and temple, we are visible. We are exposed before the Elohim, we are the dwelling of the Elohim, His temple, and we are inhabited and occupied by the Holy Spirit. Every fallen son of the Elohim sees our glory and cringes. Every righteous son of the Elohim sees our glory and rejoices.

In this administration of the mystery where we are in glory as the show bread we have free access in confidence through faith in Him. In other words we are always before Him, and were specifically made this way when we believed Jesus to be Yahweh and that he rose up on the third day. If we understand that everything about us changes when we believe on Jesus Messiah, then we will understand just how exclusive this club is. We did not earn our way in by selling the most raffle tickets or by getting the most donations, we simply do the easiest thing possible, we confess and believe Jesus is Lord. Then we become the dwelling of the Elohim and the Holy Spirit dwells in and occupies us all. Not only that, the secret that no one knew about including the angels, is that the Messiah is in us all as well. Jesus our Creator and Messiah does not dwell in any other sons of the Elohim. We hope to see our glory, but the other sons of the Elohim already see our glory and honor. We are visible. Paul volunteered to share this administration of the mystery. It is however still a mystery to most people. We should have fellowship with the Elohim, the Father, the Messiah, and the Holy Spirit. We are partners.

It is through the church, ekklesia, the assembly, that the principalities and powers find out that they are defeated. The multifaceted, multifarious, manifold, much variegated, wisdom, is literally the many different colored wisdom, polupoikilos sophia. This is described as a kaleidoscope wisdom. Wisdom, sophia, is diverse and deep like a kaleidoscope. We have seen a children’s toy kaleidoscope where in a cardboard tube there are beads and mirrors that reflect the beads in different patterns as one turns the tube. It is a simple toy, but deep in its meaning is the adjective to wisdom. We could think of it as a funhouse with many mirrors and when we look at one mirror it is hard to find where the actual object is as it is reflected back and forth between many mirrors. We should not picture wisdom or the Elohim as flat, and as black and white. The Elohim, the Father, the Son, and the Spirit of Wisdom, are a variety of colors and their depth is reflected and refracted so that the principalities and powers cannot truly see the Elohim’s original image. The fallen spiritual sons of the Elohim are not all knowing, not creative, and not capable of doing anything other than subverting creation. Yet the Elohim knew these tares would be sown among the heirs of the adam and a plan was in place before the foundations of this age.
It is through the church that the kaleidoscope of colors and refracted images declares the wisdom of the Elohim. This was the intent of the ages, manufactured and constructed in Yahweh Jesus Messiah. There is a great depth to the Elohim’s wisdom which we cannot begin to comprehend, but that we are part of.

We the church are presented before the Elohim as the temple’s show bread. We are the presenters of the kaleidoscope wisdom of the Elohim, in that we are now heirs with Christ. We are the dwelling of the Elohim on the earth. We are the mystery and we are the anointed holy saints. We are now in the seventieth week.
“And the city and the saints destroy utterly along with the leader (abbot) the coming and are cut off in deluge/inundation and until fulfillment battle cut in pieces order disappearance.”
Once the holy saints are gone the only people left looking to the Elohim are the Jews awaiting their Messiah. Even though they missed him the first time, they are expecting him at this time. A new leader rises up and cuts off or destroys the saints. How many will die under the altar? How many will continued to be martyred? Their executions will be called for until the fulfillment of the seven year tribulation war. The one who does this will be called a “new leader or abbot”. An abbot ηγουμενω is the head of a group of monks which is also a word that means “father” from the Latin and the Greek abbas. This new leader will be a spiritual leader, a spiritual father, as well as a national leader, but he will be found out to be a fraud when he sits in the holy of holies and declares himself god because he did not die.

Daniel 9:27 And one week shall establish the covenant with many:
Once the determined desolations are close to being complete, the process or rebuilding and re-populating Israel begins. That has now been happening for seventy years. At the end of this time a new leader rises up. He establishes a seven year covenant, and halfway through the seven years (three and one half years), he breaks this covenant. So today, there is no temple, there is no leader establishing a covenant, there is no military expansion of Israel’s territory. In fact, it seems that today Israel is continually pressured to decrease settlements instead of increase. These points tell us where we are in time. We may be close in the realm of 6000 years of satan’s rule ending, but as far as the tribulation, it won’t be tomorrow.
Daniel 9:27 and in the midst of the week my sacrifice and drink-offering shall be taken away: and on the temple shall be the abomination of desolations; and at the end of time an end shall be put to the desolation.
And finally, at the end of time, the end of the six thousand year reign of the prince of this world, the one who blinds the minds of the children of disobedience, the prince of the power of the air, there will be a final desolation.

As we see, the son of destruction will come during the last seven years to empower the contract. This tells us that there will be a contract made. When will the contract be made? Prior to the last seven years which puts us back to a time of peace, medicine, prosperity, and food. At that time someone will allow a temple to be built in Israel. Then there will be a time when the world leader empowers the contract that was made for temple service. Then after three and one half years that world leader will lift the contract or take away the contract. There will be many upset Jews at that time. Then we see what Paul was explaining to us in 2 Thessalonians.

The world leader over Israel will enter the temple at about the three and one half year mark during the tribulation. He will sit in the holy of holies and when he exits he will declare himself to be god. This is the final abomination and the desolation will happen soon after. This is the mid-point in the tribulation and about three and one half years left to go before the Day of the Lord.
What did the holy men understand about Daniel’s vision? They understood that the earth’s age is an eight thousand year period where the first six thousand years were under Satanas’ rule, then the millennial kingdom, followed by the new heavens and earth. They saw that there was a period of time between the Messiah’s arrival to the end of the age, the battle on the Day of the Lord. They did not understand what was going to take place in that two thousand year or so period of time. They had the date that Jesus would ride into Jerusalem on a donkey and be hailed as the Messiah. They also knew the Day of the Lord would be at the end of this age before the Messiah would rule and reign from Jerusalem for one thousand years. Knowing those approximate years, they realized that there was an age, a gap in time, that they were not informed of. The age of the Holy Spirit dwelling in humans, the age of humans being the temple of the Holy Spirit. They saw that the destruction of the Jerusalem temple would take place but did not know what would happen next. It wasn’t until the day of Pentecost that the people of that generation started to understand what was in store.
The prophet Messiah/Christos anoints the holy saints until the harpazo which precedes the tribulation. This is an important addendum to our story through the end of the age. We are living close to the fulfillment of the gap years. Gabriel gave Daniel dates to look for, and benchmarks. Daniel must have been saddened to realize that even after their seventy years in captivity were over, that the people themselves would not turn to Yahweh for long. He must have been devastated to know that they would execute the Messiah. Gabriel gave Daniel a far look into the future for our benefit. Daniel never went back to Judah after the captivity ended. Maybe he realized that there would be a time when the nations would be welcomed into the sheepfold and thought it was important to instruct the Magi as to reading the heavens to look for the Messiah when he would be born. Today we are beneficiaries of Daniels recorded prophecies and we can continue to build out our story of the return of the prophet, the Messiah, Jesus, King of kings and Lord of lords.
