Astronomy Astrology and Enoch

I used to volunteer at a Christian para-ministry in the mid 1990’s.  Between tasks I had the opportunity of telling someone about what Christians who were creation scientists were saying about the vibratory patterns of the stars in the universe.  By vibrations the stars actually do sing, and that they actually do declare the glory of God.  This was exciting to me as back in the early 1980’s I had read EW Bullinger’s book Witness of the Stars.  When the founder of the ministry came in we included him in the conversation but instead of excitement, he decided that that was all just distortions of the bible.  Even when I showed him Psalm 19 his opinion was the same.  He had never heard of Bullinger’s works which also include Figures of Speech and Numbers in the Scripture all written around the 1890’s.  I didn’t respect him after that because instead of learning about what he didn’t know he decided he already knew it all and he didn’t have to learn anything else.  It is said the greatest obstacle to discovery is not ignorance; it is the illusion of knowledge.

The big news of recent weeks is that there is a problem with Astrology as the calculation dates of the constellations are off.  This is not news to Astronomers, it has been known for a very long time. Astronomers and Astrologers don’t travel in the same circles and sadly they don’t compare notes.  The problem is that Astronomy is a celestial science of physical celestial elements while Astrology is social engineering.  As I read recent articles on CNN, Yahoo, and my local on line news papers, I was amused to see that some people got extremely angry about their astrological sign being wrong. One person said it didn’t matter she was a Leo and she even had a tattoo so she wasn’t changing her sign.  The social engineering aspect of Astrology is that by telling people they were born under a particular zodiac sign that they then have a particular set of personality traits and that certain things will happen on certain days to everyone born in that time frame.  It’s a money making opportunity for some and many have earned a good living telling others of vague happenings.  So that no one thinks I am being flippant, this was an area of study for me back in the 70’s.  (I am that old) I even had a battery operated “computer” that told me where the sun and moon were on the day of someone’s birth.  I was fascinated by this knowledge and studied all the top Astrologers of the day but I felt like there was still something missing. Astrology either wasn’t accurate enough in personality areas or too vague about the future.  I also studied the course of the Moon in those days, gaining understanding on the cycle of the moon and what was affected by it, such as plants, the tide, and nature.  I remember checking out a book from my local library about the 13th constellation.  The conjecture was that one constellation was missing and that all Astrology was off.  Needless to say that book wasn’t a New York Times best seller in 1979.  Today the speculation is that there should be 13 constellations, not 12, having left out Ophiuchus. This constellation boundary is between Scorpio and Sagittarius. The sun and planets travel through Ophiuchus’ boundaries which is why some would say the 12 Zodiac signs are incorrect.  We see the number thirteen show up in other calendars as well but truly it is an area of ongoing study.

God wrote his plan of redemption in the heavens.  He also holds us accountable to know his plan.  So far we’ve seen his plan spoken of to the serpent, Adam and Eve, and in the names of Seth’s linage.  But God’s redemptive plan was declared in the heavens as well. So much speculation surrounds our oldest known records.  Most of the ideas of the constellation names come from the Sumerian, Arabic, Egyptian, and Hebraic remnants of those cultures.  The Sumerian culture was the oldest of these civilizations existing somewhere near Iraq, the area of the Garden of Eden.

Ps 19:1-5

1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.
2 Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.
3 There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.
4 Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,
5 Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.
KJV

Rom 1:17-20

17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
KJV

It would seem that there was someone in history who got information first hand, who made it known in the area of Sumer.  That man was Enoch.  We have to look at our timing again.  I have a tendency to think once one person died in the Bible, then another one came along.  That thinking is erroneous. In the days of Jared’s death Enoch, Methuselah, Lamech, and Noah all mourned together.  We should recognize that these people lived around 900 years, therefore if there are only about 1600 to 1700 yrs from the creation of Adam to the flood of Noah, there must have been plenty of people who knew each other. One problem that arises is when we don’t realize that there were a few people with the same name.  There was an Enoch from the line of Cain as well as a Lamech.  A city was named Enoch but Lamech was the first person we see who had a physical disease.  He was born with poor vision and eventually went blind.  Later Lamech went into a field hunting with one of his young son’s and accidently killed Cain.

From Seth’s line Jared had Enoch at 162 yrs old, then he lived another 800 yrs.  Enoch had Methuselah at 65 yrs old and then lived another 300 yrs and then the bible says he walked with God.

Sirach or Ecclesiasticus 44:16  Enoch pleased the Lord, and was translated, being an example of repentance to all generations. KJV

Jude 14-15  14 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,
15 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him. KJV

Enoch had been translated and then came back to tell his sons and daughters what God wanted them to know.  He then left again and never came back.  It is speculated that one of the two witnesses in the tribulation period will be Enoch as he never saw death.  Attempts at hiding Enoch’s visions and revelations over the years have failed.  And now we can see a few more pieces of the Bible puzzle fit together.  From the book of Enoch we read:
Enoch 1:1 The words of the blessing of Enoch, wherewith he blessed the elect and righteous, who will be living in the day of tribulation, when all the wicked and godless are to be removed. 2 And he took up his parable and said – Enoch a righteous man, whose eyes were opened by God, saw the vision of the Holy One in the Heavens, which the angels showed me, and from them I heard everything, and from them I understood as I saw, but not for this generation, but for a remote one which is for to come.  3 Concerning the elect I said, and took up my parable concerning them:  The Holy Great One will come forth from His dwelling,  4 And the eternal God will tread upon the earth, even on Mount Sinai, and appear from His camp and appear in the strength of His might from the heaven of heavens.
V 9 And behold! He cometh with ten thousand of His holy ones to execute judgment upon all, and to destroy all the ungodly: and to convict all flesh of all the works of their ungodliness which they have ungodly committed and of all the hard things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.

The book of Enoch is quoted in Jude, so we see that at the time of Jude it was used as a resource.  Enoch writes to those living in the day of tribulation, a remote generation.  He was not writing to the current generation at the time he was alive. They already knew the flood was coming and that there would be survivors, Noah’s family.  Noah kept the writings of Enoch on the ark and further used that knowledge after his family settled the land after flood.  It is interesting that the book of Enoch was rediscovered in this generation and has become popular once again.  The Ethiopians have always had the book of Enoch as part of their sacred and holy books.  This was one region Constantine did not influence when he burned the works that did not support his new religion.

The knowledge of the constellation names were give to the son’s of Enoch.  The constellations themselves don’t look like their names; however it was a way to tell the story.  Creation science tells us that in the days before the flood the firmament, which was a bubble of water above our atmosphere, did two things regarding the stars.  Firstly it magnified the stars so that they looked closer. Secondly there would have been a pinkish hue to our sky, so that we could see that the constellations were all color coded.  Today we can see the colors of the stars but only slightly.  Some stars with the naked eye look a bit red, some look a bit blue and some look silver/white.  I have been able to see these star colors when backpacking at higher altitudes at night.  Because Noah was alive and planning the ark adventure during the time Enoch was back giving this knowledge to his family, Noah would have carried this knowledge through the flood and proclaimed it to his children and grandchildren.  Even though the firmament was pierced the constellation knowledge carried on to the future civilizations.

Today we have Astronomy programs that tell us the exact map of all the planets, constellations and their movements.  Computers have given us a whole new look at Astronomy.    We have the technology to show the date and time Jesus was born using Astronomy Programs.  We find this to be quite accurate balancing prophecy and recorded dates and times in the gospels.  We can identify that every Old Testament prophecy regarding Jesus is accurate according to the map of the heavens.  What does that mean?  On each day the Sun Moon and Planets are in a particular place in the heavens according to our view point from earth.  The meanings of the constellations from ancient texts actually proclaim his ministry and the future redemption of mankind.  I always muse over the date of Immaculate Conception, where the feast of the Immaculate Conception is on December 8th according to Catholic tradition.  This means Mary’s pregnancy is either the longest pregnancy in history or the shortest if we use the date of December 25th as Jesus’ birth.  We know Constantine combined and rearranged holy days so that everyone in the Roman Empire could celebrate dates that were important to the particular religious groups in the empire.  A more in depth look at Jesus’ birth would take you to the month of September. In his book The Star of Bethlehem-The Star That Astonished the World, Ernest L Martin gives a date of September 11th 3 BC. Many other people have written books concerning this date of Jesus’ birth that match pretty closely to this.  The works of Joseph Seiss and EW Bullinger are very good resources to read regarding the constellations.  I also encourage the reading of The Language of God in the Universe by Helena Lehman which gives a messianic look at the stars.  This is not exhaustive but a good direction to start researching.

There was something else going on in the days of Jared that we will soon cover.  In the days of Jared there was a lot of defilement going on.  It would seem some Watchers came and took wives of the daughters of Adam.  Until next time….

Cain and Abel and Redemption

I’ve never been content with the basics of a story, I always want to know the “what” and “why” .  Why did that little boy keep crying wolf?  What kind of attention was he lacking in his personal life? Why was the Emperor so easily fooled?  Was it because he thought so highly of himself that he forgot to be honest with himself?  The account of Cain and Abel that we read in our bible gives us some basic facts.  There is nothing wrong with the facts except it seems so dry and the people involved don’t seem human.  The book of Jasher is a great historical book that gives great detail into the hearts and actions of people who, like us, are human.  Jasher is not a person but a word that means the upright and correct record.  It is mentioned in the books of Joshua and Second Samuel and is suspected to have existed in the archives in Alexandria, Egypt.  Jasher chronicles the events of the book of Genesis and gives us greater insight into the people we read and study.

Cain was a tiller of the ground, a farmer.  Abel was a keeper of sheep.  Adam gave them each a portion of land and after a few years they both brought an offering to the Lord.  Abel’s offering was approved by the Lord, being consumed by fire, because Abel brought the best of this flock for an offering.  Cain did not bring his best fruits and vegetables for his offering.  Cain became downcast and jealous over Abel’s offering being approved.  But this is not the only reason Cain killed Abel.  The book of Jasher tells us that some time later both Cain and Abel were out working in the fields.  Cain was tilling and ploughing while Abel was feeding his flocks and some of Abel’s flocks started eating out of Cain’s fields.  This made Cain angry. He was already not happy about his brother’s offering being approved by the Lord and now his brother’s flocks were eating his food.  Cain confronts Abel and tells him to leave. But Abel points out to Cain that he was eating the flesh of his flocks and wearing the wool from his flocks.  Abel said he’d leave if Cain took off the wool he was wearing and pay him for the sheep he ate.  Cain threatened Abel and asked who would know if he killed him, but Abel said God would know and avenge him because the Lord knows all the secret things and would judge him for declaring it.

Cain got mad for what Abel said and he grabbed an iron part of his plough and killed him.  Cain immediately grieved what he did to Abel and repented. He dug a hole and buried him.  The Lord appeared to Cain and asked where Abel was.  The Lord tells Cain that his brother’s blood cries out from the ground and that Cain is putting up a false front trying to conceal the truth.  The Lord also points out that Cain imagined that the Lord didn’t see him or knew what was going on.  The Lord told Cain that the ground would now be cursed because of what he did, so Cain left the area, married his sister, had children, and built a city.

Another book that provides some interesting insights is the First Book of Adam and Eve.  Written in this book we see that Cain had a hard heart but that Abel had a meek heart.  Cain always wanted to rule over his brother.  Adam suggests they bring offerings to God so that God would cleanse Cain’s heart but Abel’s heart is what God approved of.  But because Cain came with a hard heart before God his offering wasn’t approved.   Contentions between them grew.  We then see Satan come to Cain to entice him to kill Abel.  Once Cain kills him he leaves with his sister and builds a city. We then see that the children of Cain are evil on the earth.

After this time Eve had another son named Seth.  The bible jumps through chapter five giving lineage but no details.  This is where the book of Jasher becomes very important.  One reason, which we will see later, is the inference of evil throughout the land long before the time of Noah.  The significance of the linage recorded in the Genesis 5 is that it tells us again, God’s plan for the redemption of man. In the garden God tells us that through the linage of the woman, someone would be born who crushes the serpents head.  Humanity was now polluted with the seed of the serpent but there would be a way to redeem mankind.  Cain’s behavior is so typical of people’s behavior today.  Watching the local news seems like characteristics of this story are in every crime.  Someone is mad about something and with blatant disregard of life, acts out in a manner that harms others.

We are all Spirit, Soul and Body, but somehow mankind’s spirit became polluted in the garden, taking on the nature of the serpents seed.  Maybe like the stripping of the outside covering of a seed leaves the seed dead and unable to sprout and grow.  The promise was to redeem mankind through a matrilineal line.  Through a woman the seed would be recovered so that we could once again sprout and grow spiritually.  Since the day of Pentecost we have had the option of regaining that spiritual connection.  Compare this with what Jesus said as recorded in John 8:37-47.  Jesus points out that even though they trace their linage to Abraham they are of the seed of their father, the devil, because they sought to kill him.

The Lord God said in the garden that the man has become like one of Us to know good and evil, Gen 3:22. The problem then would be if he would eat of the tree of life and live forever, that is why man was sent out of the garden.  Now a plan to redeem mankind could be brought forth without man living in a fallen state forever.  The names of the children of Adam and Eve in chapter 5 of Genesis tell a story of the future plan.
                Adam-man
                Seth-appointed
                Enosh-mortal
                Cainan-sorrow
                Mahalaleel- The blessed God
                Jared-shall come down
                Enoch-teaching
                Methusela-his death shall bring
                Lamech-the despairing
                Noah-comfort
Man is appointed mortal sorrow; the blessed God shall come down teaching and his death shall bring the despairing, comfort.
Here is the plan of redemption written in the names of the descendants of Adam and Eve.  When I look at the time it took to proclaim this it was a couple hundred years.  Moses sums it up in Genesis 5 without other background information regarding these people.  How did Adam and his kin know this plan from God?  In the First Book of Adam and Eve we have some interesting accounts where they were told the exact plan of God.  Adam and Eve despair of their state after being sent out of the garden.  Adam states how they used to see the angels worshiping all the time and now their eyes are flesh.  God says he would send the Word of God to them and he would redeem them.  Adam also talks to God the Lord who then tells him the plan of redemption.

The First Book of Adam and Eve 14:3-5  Again said God unto Adam, “All this misery that thou hast been made to take upon thee because of thy transgression will not free thee from the hand of Satan, and will not save thee.  But I will.  When I shall come down from heaven and shall become flesh of thy seed and take upon Me the infirmity from which thou sufferest, then the darkness that come upon thee in this cave shall come upon Me in the grave, when I am in the flesh of thy seed.  And I, who am without years, shall be subject to the reckoning of years, of times, of months and of days, and I shall be reckoned as one of the sons of men, in order to save thee.”
The First Book of Adam and Eve 24:4-5 Then came the Word of God to Adam and said unto him, “O Adam as thou hast shed they blood, so will I shed My own blood when I become flesh of thy seed; and as thou didst die, O Adam, so also will I die.  And as thou didst build an altar, so also will I make for thee an altar on the earth; and as thou didst offer thy blood upon it, so also will I offer My blood upon an altar on the earth. And as thou didst sue for forgiveness through that blood, so also will I make My blood forgiveness through that blood, so also will I make My blood forgiveness of sins, and blot out transgressions in it.”

That is the plan that has been proclaimed from the beginning, it was also written in the heavens which we will explore at a later time.  This plan was not a secret; Satan knew the plan and tried to hinder it as we can see throughout history.  Fortunately for us we can see the plan fulfilled as we can look back to the life of Jesus, but what must it have been like for Adam and the first descendants?

From the book of Jasher we see that as man multiplied there were several things they did to rebel against God.  Jasher says they afflicted their souls and hearts by transgressing and rebelling.  In the days of Enosh men served other gods and idols of wood and stone and they forsook the Lord.  The book of Jasher says that the Lord caused the waters from the river Gihon to overwhelm them, destroy them and consume them and a third part of the earth.  But this did not cause the survivors to turn from their evil ways.  There was famine at that time as from the time of Adam the ground was cursed with thorns and thistles but the book of Jasher says that men continued to corrupt their ways and the earth became corrupt as well.  (Again as in a previous blog we see the connection between us and our world) Cainan was born to Enosh and he wrote on stone tablets about what would take place in the future and he turned men to the service of God.  He was wise and ruled over spirits and demons.

Also the book of Jasher tells us how men began to transgress God’s commands by not bearing children.  The men gave their wives herbal drinks so that they would not bear children and keep their youthful figures.  The men despised the sight of the child bearing women and would leave them as widows.  It is not stated in Jasher but it would be my assumption that this was to keep the prophesied seed of the woman from coming forth to crush the serpents head.

I think about what it must have been like to have lived in those days; what was it like not to have the Holy Spirit on the inside?  What must it have been like to be learning about God through stone tablets and one wise man, rather than all the resources we have today?  What would it have been like to know Adam and Eve as they were still alive at this time?  Would I have pursued God or would I have not cared?  Without having the Holy Spirit to convict of sin would I have even known there about sin and then guilt and remorse?

Eventually we come to Enoch, which is where we will pick up next time.  Another interesting book to read is the book of Enoch.  It will be referenced quite a bit as we head into the understanding of the fallen angels.

Dimensions, Aether, and Spiritual Awareness

The serpent told Eve that if she ate of the tree of knowledge of good and evil her eyes would be open and they would be as gods knowing good and evil.  We may have lost more than we think.  Today we see good and evil, we experientially know good and evil, but we lost knowledge that was neither good nor evil.  Today everything we know about our world is from the perspective of fallen humanity.  We somehow became disconnected from the knowledge of how our world works.

Think about what your life might be like if you lost one of your senses.  Your understanding of the world around you will be limited.   That is how I compare our current state in the spiritual realm.  We are blinded by the loss of a spiritual connection that man was created with.  We don’t understand spiritual beings or how the universe is balanced.  We only experience three dimensions, and we can only know four.  If there are 10 dimensions we are held back by not knowing the other six.  Some scientists speculate there are actually 26 dimensions.  Height, width, length, and time are the four dimensions I understand. Interestingly Paul explains in Ephesians the love of Christ in dimensions.

Eph 3:17-19  17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; 19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God. KJV

To understand dimensions lets use letters instead of words.  If you are looking at a bookshelf you can see X Y and Z.  X is horizontal, Y is vertical, Z is front to back or through.  Time is the point at which you are seeing the bookshelf.  If you look at the bookshelf with one eye closed you are seeing it 2 dimensionally, you need your brain to translate shadows and lighting and the information from your second eye to give you depth.

The 5th dimension is an alternate reality meaning from this point in time I could either go to the store or stay home.  If I choose to go to the store then the alternate reality would be if I stayed home.  If, while I was at the store, a meteor hit my house, my alternate reality would have been dramatically different.  Branching out from each option there continues to be fracture after fracture of what could have been.  As in Back to the Future, the future changes based on the actions of the 1985 Marty and what he did in 1955.

An understanding of dimensions is not all humankind lost in the garden.  We know things by our senses, however there are things that go on that elude our senses.  That is not hyper dimensional, but beyond our reality.  Dr Masaru Emoto’s water crystal experiments show that we cannot see behind the scenes as to what is either destroying or giving life to things.  The bible tells us that the power of life and death are in the tongue, but does that include words written on paper?  If this was a cartoon I’d denote good words with happy heart “vibes” moving from the written word to the object it is in front of.  If I were to denote bad word “vibes” I’d use flaming arrows attacking an object.  While I cannot see the vibes in reality, I can see the effect of the vibes on things like food or water.  Therefore I know there is something going on that I cannot identify by my senses; I can only see the after effects.

Let’s look at that a different way.  The bible says not to curse the King in your thoughts or the rich in your bed chamber because a bird of the air will take it to him.  So what I say and what I think will have an effect on someone else.  How is that possible? Somehow we are all connected, and the things that we think, and say have an effect on everything.

In his book The Divine Matrix, Gregg Braden explains quantum physics and how we are connected.  It is a spiritual connectedness that we cannot see with our eyes but we can see the effects of.  One of his interesting descriptions of our connectedness was a situation where a beloved family dog became ill with lung problems.  The owner of the dog went to the doctor to get checked out although the owner felt fine and had no symptoms.  The doctor found some lung problems that were the same as the dog had.  As soon as the dog’s owner had surgery and healed, the dog’s lung problems healed all by itself.  It seems odd to draw a connection between animals and humans.  But our pets have a connection to us.   What reminded me of this book was someone recently told me that she had lupus.  She then pointed out that one of her dogs had lupus too.  Lupus is not contagious so there has to be a reason for both to have the same disease.  In particle physics, particles react differently when they are being watched, as if they know they are being watched.  So there seems to be a connection, aether, a fifth element that connects us all.

Animals seem to have a wider range of perception than humans do.  We have dog whistles that humans cannot hear but dogs hear and respond to.  We say dogs can “smell” fear.  What is that like to a dog? Are there little fearful cartoon question marks being exuded from a human to the dog’s nose?  I would guess it is much like walking into a room where people had been in disagreement and we can feel the tension.  Sight is another area where humans are deficient.  We can only see a tiny fraction of light spectrum compared to how broad the spectrum is.  Sometimes camera’s can pick up a slightly broader range than our eyes can see.  This is especially true of the infra reds.  If we had the ability to see everything what would our world look like?  Maybe its better we don’t see it.

It is suspected that Jesus in his resurrected body existed in 11 dimensions. He walked through walls, he knew what people were thinking, he could eat, and yet people could touch him and put their fingers into his wounded hands. He was solid and non solid at the same time.  He was intuitive and knew non verbal thoughts.    When he was on earth in human form he seemed to know where the fish were all schooling.  He had knowledge of things not seen.  He could walk on the water and calm the storms.  Somehow he did not sink and by words he changed the elements.   By his words he could speak and people would be healed.  What kind of energy moved on his words?  He had inherent power and exercised authority.  He didn’t use magic words.  Most people would just shrug all of that off but Jesus said the works that he did we should do also and greater than these shall we do because he was going unto his father.  I have not walked on water, or calmed storms.  Peter did however walk on water for a short time, until he saw with his eyes the storm around him.  This begs the question which was more real, the waves Peter sees or water molecules he is standing on.  Maybe our ability to stand on water is more real but the distraction we are faced with is to rely on our senses for truth.

When I stand in my house I believe the floor is solid.  I believe it will hold me up and not move.  But the reality is that the floor is not solid and the molecules’ are moving.  Molecules are composed of at least two atoms and are always in motion. They can be in motion at different rates of speed and different types of movement.  Energy rises form molecular movement.  Temperature is a measure of molecular movement.  I can’t see the movement but the movement produces an energy so I see the result of the molecular movement without seeing the molecules.  What I see with my eyes is deceptive to the reality of molecular motion. In truth the floor I stand on is no more solid then the water Jesus and Peter walked on.

Now back to Adam and Eve.  The serpent told Eve that if they disobeyed they would know good and evil.  Let’s ponder that for a moment.  What would it be like to not know good or evil.

Gen 3:4-5  4 The serpent told the Woman, "You won't die. 5 God knows that the moment you eat from that tree, you'll see what's really going on. You'll be just like God, knowing everything, ranging all the way from good to evil."
(from THE MESSAGE: The Bible in Contemporary Language © 2002 by Eugene H. Peterson. All rights reserved.)

What would it be like to not judge everything we see and think according to a standard of good and evil?  The first thing Adam and Eve “knew” was shame and fear.  If they lived without the knowledge of fear before disobedience how were they living? They knew of death but they didn’t seem bothered by its threat, so they were not hindered by fear from eating of the tree.   The book of Jubilees states that on the first day God created the bottomless pit.  God knew good and evil but Adam and Eve did not.  From that moment on the story of humanity has been about redemption.  Now there had to be a savior to redeem us from eternal death.  In order to put forth guidelines for the Israelites to keep themselves pure so that Christ could be born through their lineage, Moses gave them the commandments and the book of Leviticus.  If they would live by the rules of what is good and shun what is evil they would do well.

Understanding that there is a spiritual connection throughout our world and there is more for us to learn about God’s creation keeps us hungry for more.

End Notes

Aether
Although hypotheses of the aether vary somewhat in detail they all have certain characteristics in common. Essentially aether is considered to be a physical medium occupying every point in space, including within material bodies. A second essential feature is that aether's properties give rise to the electric and magnetic phenomena and determines the propagation velocity of their effects. Therefore the speed of light and all other propagating effects are determined by the physical properties of the aether at the relevant location, analogous to the way that gaseous, liquid and solid media affect the propagation of sound waves. The aether is considered the over-all reference frame for the universe and thus velocities are all absolute relative to its rest frame. Therefore, in this view, any physical consequences of those velocities are considered as having an absolute, i. e. real effects.

Angels and Others

Markawasi (also spelled Marchausi) is an unusual place of carved rocks in Peru. Truly if I had unlimited resources I’d travel Peru for months on end.  The country is truly exciting.  A while back I was flipping channels   and landed on the Documentary Channel which was airing a show on Markawasi.  It was incredible to see how many sculptures and granite carvings there were.  Most pictures cannot do it justice, but time lapse photography shows the images as they start to appear in the rock and slowly disappear.  There are carvings of peoples of all nations, a Sphinx, a lion, dolphins.  Markawasi sits at 12,000 ft above sea level, and the dating of the carvings pre date the earliest known peoples of the region.  The big question is how can people living in Peru know what a Sphinx is?

Markawasi is also known for its hyper spiritualism.  Many people believe it is an area of high paranormal activity.  I can’t speak to that as I have never been there.  I don’t think I’ve ever seen a UFO and no one has ever told me they were abducted by a UFO so I truly have no personal frame of reference in that area.  What I do know is that many people open themselves up to spiritual things because they are trying to find answers.  Christians happen to do a huge disservice to this people group, but not because of hate, but because of fear and ignorance.  Christians tend to lump spiritual things into two categories, good and bad.  Anything that people have not learned about becomes bad and the continued Constantinian propounding of our God has given us a lopsided view of the world. There are so many heavenly beings but we’ve never taken note of them.  We’ve put wings on some that don’t have wings, we’ve over looked some altogether, and we’ve rendered art work that is nothing like the descriptions we do have in the bible.

Adam was created in the image of Elohim, a little lower in authority than Elohim.   He was created in the image and likeness of Elohim.  Remembering an earlier post im is plural in Hebrew.  He was told to subdue the garden, to guard it, which was east of Eden.  If the Garden of Eden was near the Tigris and Euphrates then what is west of the Garden? Eden was west of the Garden of Eden; that seems like it would be Israel.  Is that why there is still an ancient battle wagging over that land?

David later writes concerning man:
Ps 8:5 For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. KJV
There is a problem here.  The word angels is the word Elohim.  This is the only place Elohim is ever translated as angels.   I understand why the KJV translates it this way. Firstly the Pope was supposed to be god on earth, how can the peasants be equal to the pope and have the same authority.  Secondly if people thought of themselves as equal to the church superiors the offerings would dry up as commoners would not need a priest to pay penitence to.  Because Adam was created higher in authority to the other beings, Lucifer was not happy.  Lucifer was called the Anointed Cherub, I’m sure he wasn’t a little naked baby with curly blond hair and big blue eyes and little wings.  It would seem Cherub are a mighty class of heavenly beings.  I am including strong’s numbers and definitions in the end notes.

Hebrews states concerning Jesus
Heb 2:5-9
5 For unto the angels hath he not put in subjection the world to come, whereof we speak.
6 But one in a certain place testified, saying, What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man, that thou visitest him?
7 Thou madest him a little lower than the angels [read God here]; thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands:
8 Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him.
9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. KJV

We understand that the translation from Hebrews followed the ‘angels’ translation of Psalm8 but we need to look at that a little closer.  Possibly as verse nine states because of the suffering of death Jesus was made a little lower than the angels, however Jesus states in the garden that he could have twelve Legions of Angels at his asking.  Also when he was in the wilderness fasting the angels came and ministered to him.  It would seem that Jesus was not lower than the angels but in an earthly body he did have to suffer on the cross.

Heb 2:16 For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham. KJV
1 Peter 3:22 Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him. KJV

The obvious problem with Psalm 8:5 is that if we want to  translate the word Elohim as angels, or heavenly beings , then it must have been angels who created the heavens and earth as in Genesis 1:1.  That would change the common Judeo and Christian belief system.  While other cultures are poly theists the Judeo Christian belief system is mono theist, with the clarification that the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are all one God.  In purpose direction and function they are all one.

So with that understanding, if man is made just a little lower then God, who does man have authority over? Angels are to minister to the heirs of salvation; therefore they are to help out the children of God.
Heb 1:13 But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?
14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation? KJV

We see angels as messengers, sending warnings, or causing the enemies of the children of Israel trouble.  Angels have broken people out of prison, they write things down, and Jesus said that the angels of children always behold the face of God.  We know that they will come to gather the elect and that we will judge them. They are not described with wings but they are said to fly however. Jacob saw them ascending and descending on a ladder,  and they most often look like men.  Also, where the bible says men or man in linen we assume them to be angels, but truly we don’t know if they are angels or some other being.  One example of men we assume are angels is written in Ezekiel 9 where they were instructed to mark the foreheads of those who mourn for Israel.  Then they were told to slay everyone without the mark.  There are also Archangels, Michael and Uriel, who seem to be above the other angels.

There are Cherubim ( im plural) mentioned in the bible.  Lucifer was one as previously stated.  They seem to guard things and were very important to the design of the Ark of the Covenant.  They fly and God seems to ride on them.  They have multiple faces, one of a Cherub, one of a man, one of a lion, and one of an eagle.  It seems that the face of a Cherub and the face of a man must be different as there would be no telling the difference between them if Cherubs looked like men.  The wheels that Ezekiel saw moved every time the wings of the Cherubim moved.  They must also have access to the garden of God and they guarded the Garden of Eden when Adam and Eve were sent out.

Seraphim (again im is plural) are a very strange group of beings.  They are known as the Burning Ones.  They seem to come with fire and are mostly denoted as serpents or snakes.  I am not making this up.  They seem to be more of a reptile with fire.  They also have six wings.  Is it possible that ancient cultures who denoted winged serpents were trying to denote Seraphim?  There are a few Native American cultures who speak of serpent people that helped save their civilizations.  Maybe where we have labeled ancient cultures as demonic they were simply communicating seraphim.   The Dead Sea Scrolls mention watchers as serpent faced beings.  They seem to have human voices, and they declare Holy, Holy,Holy. They have faces and feet as well.  This is one of those mysteries that seem so obscure in the bible because we have never really been taught about it.  Yet there are many cultures that seem to freely portray flying serpents.  I truly have no real answers here except to copy and paste the strong’s numbers and definitions in the end notes.

In the only occurrence in the bible the prophet Zechariah speaks of winged women.  They came down to earth, put an evil spirit in a leaded container and took it away.  This is the only occurrence of women being of the heavenly class.  Their wings were very large, like a stork’s wings.  All the usages of wings and stork are in a feminine form.  There isn’t much more that can be understood from the text.

There are ministering spirits which we noted previously, and there are Watchers.  Watchers seem to be messengers that came to Daniel as well as to Nebuchadnezzar.  So watchers come to bring messages to Israelites and non Israelites.  And they come down from heaven.  There are beings called the Morning Stars and they seem to sing. So far this is the first group of beings that seem to sing.  There are beings that are called the Sons of God, and it would seem that they shout for joy.  They also present themselves to God.  The name Sons of God is a broad name and could very well denote all the heavenly beings instead of a specific class of being, but maybe not.  Another broad term which could denote the entire class of heavenly beings is Host of Heavens or Heavenly Host.  These beings seem to surround the Lord and they also praise him.  They seem to be a warring class of beings.  Moses was very specific that humans are not to worship them or to serve them.  Moses also says that they have been divided up among all the nations.  In Revelation there are 24 elders that could be either human or celestial, seven Spirits of God and four beasts. There are the four living creatures of Ezekiel which seem similar to the beasts of Revelation.

This is a quick snapshot of some of the heavenly beings.  There are others such as demons, principalities powers and rulers of the darkness of this world. As we will see in the future, the Nephilim were off spring of fallen angels and their spirits had to be dealt with as they were part angel and part human. It seems that our world is crowded with hyper dimensional beings that we know very little about.  We are hardly aware of them.  Not because the spirit realm is not important or not real, it is probably more real than the physical world we live in.  We are just not trained to be aware of spiritual matters.  As we can see from what David wrote, we are above heavenly spiritual beings; man was created that way, with the angelic class to assist him.  But not all men wish to be heirs of salvation.  That is why it seems angels fight against people on behalf of the children of God.  If they are divided up among the nations, are they there to help humans who will be heirs, and are ready to gather them when the time has come? Keeping our perspective straight about who has wings and who doesn’t, and what they look like what their functions are, is important when communicating with people who don’t believe the things you do.  Instead of bundling everything into the angel basket we can be more specific.

I can’t speak for people who have gone to Markawasi and had spiritual experiences, but I can say that there is a lot more going on then homogenized religion allows us to know.  We will explore the negative side of the spirit realm so we can understand those who are against us, but not just yet.
