Lucifer the Before and After

Once mighty and strong, and once an important part of Elohim’s heavenly kingdom.  Created beautifully but becoming defiled.  How is it that the story of Lucifer starts in the heights of glory but ends in the depths of darkness, and eventually the Lake of Fire? He knows his time is short.

The prophecies of Lucifer in Isaiah start out by calling him the king of Babylon and that the Lord Yahweh was going to break his staff and scepter.  It points out that he smote the people continually in wrath and ruled the nations with anger.  Revelation says that in one hour Babylon’s judgment will come, and one of the things Babylon bought and sold was the souls of men, Rev 18:13. It is not hard to believe that all satan wanted to do was to destroy and enslave humans.  He will be persecuted by Yahweh and the whole earth will rest and be quiet.  We have to ask when will this be?  It would seem that satan will be bound for one thousand years during the millennial reign of Christ, as it continues Hell is moved and stirs up the dead at his coming.  Where is satan now? Roaming the earth as stated in Job. Has that changed? Not yet.

Isa 14:4-11
4 That thou shalt take up this proverb against the king of Babylon, and say, How hath the oppressor ceased! the golden city ceased! 5 The Lord hath broken the staff of the wicked, and the sceptre of the rulers. 6 He who smote the people in wrath with a continual stroke, he that ruled the nations in anger, is persecuted, and none hindereth. 7 The whole earth is at rest, and is quiet: they break forth into singing. 8 Yea, the fir trees rejoice at thee, and the cedars of Lebanon, saying, Since thou art laid down, no feller is come up against us. 9 Hell from beneath is moved for thee to meet thee at thy coming: it stirreth up the dead for thee, even all the chief ones of the earth; it hath raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations. 10 All they shall speak and say unto thee, Art thou also become weak as we? art thou become like unto us? 11 Thy pomp is brought down to the grave, and the noise of thy viols: the worm is spread under thee, and the worms cover thee. KJV
Notice that the dead and kings of the earth ask if satan has become as weak as they are.  There is awareness of others in the grave.  The Kings know when satan comes and they realize he is now like they are.  Here are some definitions of the Hebrew words:
Hell, the grave OT:7585 she'owl (sheh-ole'); or sheol (sheh-ole'); from OT:7592; Hades or the world of the dead (as if a subterranean retreat), including its accessories and inmates: KJV - grave, hell, pit (Biblesoft's New Exhaustive Strong's Numbers and Concordance with Expanded Greek-Hebrew Dictionary. Copyright © 1994, 2003, 2006 Biblesoft, Inc. and International Bible Translators, Inc.)
Thy Pomp OT:1347 ga'own (gaw-ohn'); from OT:1342; the same as OT:1346: KJV - arrogancy, excellency (-lent), majesty, pomp, pride, proud, swelling.(Biblesoft's New Exhaustive Strong's Numbers and Concordance with Expanded Greek-Hebrew Dictionary. Copyright © 1994, 2003, 2006 Biblesoft, Inc. and International Bible Translators, Inc.)
Thy Viols OT:5035 nebel (neh'-bel); or nebel (nay'-bel); from OT:5034; a skin-bag for liquids (from collapsing when empty); hence, a vase (as similar in shape when full); also a lyre (as having a body of like form): KJV - bottle, pitcher, psaltery, vessel, viol. (Biblesoft's New Exhaustive Strong's Numbers and Concordance with Expanded Greek-Hebrew Dictionary. Copyright © 1994, 2003, 2006 Biblesoft, Inc. and International Bible Translators, Inc.)
The Worm  OT:7415 rimmah (rim-maw'); from OT:7426 in the sense of breading [compare OT:7311]; a maggot (as rapidly bred), literally or figuratively:  KJV - worm. (Biblesoft's New Exhaustive Strong's Numbers and Concordance with Expanded Greek-Hebrew Dictionary. Copyright © 1994, 2003, 2006 Biblesoft, Inc. and International Bible Translators, Inc.)
The Worms  OT:8438 towla` (to-law'); and (feminine) towle`ah (to-lay-aw'); or towla`ath (to-lah'-ath); or tola`ath (to-lah'-ath); from OT:3216; a maggot (as voracious); specifically (often with ellipsis of OT:8144) the crimson-grub, but used only (in this connection) of the color from it, and cloths dyed therewith: KJV - crimson, scarlet, worm. (Biblesoft's New Exhaustive Strong's Numbers and Concordance with Expanded Greek-Hebrew Dictionary. Copyright © 1994, 2003, 2006 Biblesoft, Inc. and International Bible Translators, Inc.)
I’ve heard people say hell doesn’t exist, and that hell was not part of Hebrew culture.  But as we can see here, this particular word for hell, sheol, is a place of the grave with two different types of worms, maggots underneath him and crimson grubs on top of him, but there is consciousness.  It doesn’t seem like a nice place.  The problem is people misconstrue how people end up in hell.  Elohim does not send people there, they send themselves there.  The Kings of the earth are there, all of them? No, it doesn’t say that, but there are some very corrupt leaders in the earth that have rejected God.  God is not spinning a roulette wheel as people file past him, to determine who goes to heaven and who goes to hell.  People are the created ones; therefore we should depend on the creator to tell us how to live.  But if we reject His ways we can’t blame him for our choice for eternity.  That is what Lucifer did, and he was created better than we were.  He looked better and had more power then Adam had.  Some people talk of soul sleep, however it is evident that the kings of the earth were quite conscious and well aware of who satan is and even talk and comment to him about how weak he has become.

Isa 14:12-20
12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! 13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: 14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. 15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. 16 They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms; 17 That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners? 18 All the kings of the nations, even all of them, lie in glory, every one in his own house. 19 But thou art cast out of thy grave like an abominable branch, and as the raiment of those that are slain, thrust through with a sword, that go down to the stones of the pit; as a carcase trodden under feet. 20 Thou shalt not be joined with them in burial, because thou hast destroyed thy land, and slain thy people: the seed of evildoers shall never be renowned. KJV

Lucifer was known as the morning star, but he was cast down to the ground, the earth, because he said in his heart, he came up with a plan to exalt himself over Elohim and started to act on it. He decided he would go up to heaven raise his throne above the stars of God. So somewhere above the stars Lucifer wanted to put his own throne so that he could be like God.  But again Yahweh says that satan will go into hell and again others who are fully aware of what is happening will look at satan sharply, surprised maybe that he is the man (not like us, adam, see the following definition) that made the earth a mess.  Is this the one that scared kingdoms or intimidated rulers, and destroyed, by way of deceit and manipulation, cities? He’s one that wouldn’t even let his captives out of prison? God points out that all the Kings are lying in sepulchers but that he Lucifer would not join them in his own sepulcher. God says that he Lucifer destroyed his own land and killed his own people. Why does Lucifer have land and people? Because Lucifer tricked Adam into giving up Adam’s land and Adam’s people in return for knowing good and evil, just like God.

O Lucifer OT:1966 heylel (hay-lale'); from OT:1984 (in the sense of brightness); the morning-star: KJV - lucifer (the king of Babylon).(Biblesoft's New Exhaustive Strong's Numbers and Concordance with Expanded Greek-Hebrew Dictionary. Copyright © 1994, 2003, 2006 Biblesoft, Inc. and International Bible Translators, Inc.)
God OT:410  'el (ale); shortened from OT:352; strength; as adjective, mighty; especially the Almighty (but used also of any deity): KJV - God (god),  goodly,  great, idol, might (-y one), power, strong. Compare names in "-el." (Biblesoft's New Exhaustive Strong's Numbers and Concordance with Expanded Greek-Hebrew Dictionary. Copyright © 1994, 2003, 2006 Biblesoft, Inc. and International Bible Translators, Inc.)
Most High OT:5945  'elyown (el-yone'); from OT:5927; an elevation, i.e. (adj.) lofty (compar.); as title, the Supreme: KJV - (Most, on) high (-er, -est), upper (-most). (Biblesoft's New Exhaustive Strong's Numbers and Concordance with Expanded Greek-Hebrew Dictionary. Copyright © 1994, 2003, 2006 Biblesoft, Inc. and International Bible Translators, Inc.)
The man OT:376 'iysh (eesh); contracted for OT:582 [or perhaps rather from an unused root meaning to be extant]; a man as an individual or a male person; often used as an adjunct to a more definite term (and in such cases frequently not expressed in translation): KJV - also, another, any (man), a certain,  champion, consent, each, every (one), fellow, [foot-, husband-] man, [good-, great, mighty) man, he, high (degree), him (that is), husband, man [-kind],  none, one, people, person,  steward, what (man) soever, whoso (-ever), worthy. Compare OT:802. (Biblesoft's New Exhaustive Strong's Numbers and Concordance with Expanded Greek-Hebrew Dictionary. When will Lucifer enter the grave? During the millennial reign, however he will be loosed to go out and deceive the nations and will gather those deceived ones for the battle of Gog and Magog. But God will consume them like a fire and satan will be cast into the lake of fire where he will be tormented forever.   See end notes for Revelation ch 20

In Ezekiel Lucifer is called the king of the Tyrus, a rock which is a place in Palestine, today we understand this place of the rock as the Dome of the Rock, and Lucifer is called its king.  Joel Richardson has done some very interesting study on Islam, I will note his web address so that you can research his work http://www.joelstrumpet.com/   One point of interest is that the end times Christians understand from the book of Revelation is the exact opposite of another religion, the Muslim religion.  Muslims want the mark of the beast, and will pursue it. The Muslims believe in self fulfilling prophecy, while Christians don’t act to make prophecy happen.  From Joel Richardson’s research you will learn about the beast and the false prophet in the end times.  It is interesting to note that in Ezekiel’s time he would reference something we understand as being a huge point of contention in Jerusalem, and that Lucifer is the king of this contention. Since satan can be called the king of a rock in Palestine, we should understand that we are the generation that can understand this passage in Ezekiel and the put together the pieces of who and what is the opposition to Israel.
Tyrus OT:6865 Tsor (tsore); or Tsowr (tsore); the same as OT:6864; a rock; Tsor, a place in Palestine: KJV - Tyre, Tyrus. Ezek 28:11-19
11 Moreover the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, 12 Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord God; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty. 13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. 14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. 15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee. 16 By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire. 17 Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee. 18 Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee. 19 All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more. KJV

Sealing up the sum, full of wisdom and beauty, by our vernacular today would be as saying he had it all sewn up or he had it all.  So Lucifer was full of wisdom and beauty and had been in Eden, Adam’s place.  He was covered with precious gems and he was created perfectly, he was made with a tambourine and pipes.  He was put on the sacred mountain range of Elohim. He walked around in the center of the gems of fire. Lucifer walked perfectly form the day he was created until evil arose in him.  By the abundance of his trade he was filled at the center of his core with violence or unjust gain.  Whatever it was that he did “for work” that made him prideful.  Therefore he became sinful because of his disregard for the sacred things; he was thrown out from the Mountain range of Elohim, from the center of the gems of fire.  He became haughty in his feelings about himself thereby ruining his wisdom because of his splendor.  God will expose him before kings.  Because of his many perversities he ruined the consecrated palace of God therefore God will bring a fire from the inside of him to consume him into ashes so that Israel can see and then he will, from our perspective, vanish.

We see that at one time Lucifer was in a very high position but he saw himself as being bigger then he really was.  He wanted to put his throne above the stars and exalt himself above God. It would seem it was not enough to be on the mountain range of Elohim in the center of the stones of fire.  I am including Revelation 12 in end notes so that you can see the recap of events past and present and future.  The devil has been cast down to earth, and owns it’s kingdoms and, as testified to, by trying to tempt Jesus, see Matthew 4:1-ff and Luke 4:1-ff.  Satan could not tempt Jesus into giving him the kingdoms of the world and power if he didn’t own them.  Satan says that Jesus could have the exercisable authority over the kingdoms because it was surrendered to him, satan, and to whomever he, satan, will give it to.  This is the before and after of Lucifer.  His end is already written for us to understand, but his mission while he is ruler, is for us claymation beings to worship him.

End Notes

Rev 12
12 And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars: 2 And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered. 3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. 4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born. 5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne. 6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days. 7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, 8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. 9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. 10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. 11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. 12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time. 13 And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child. 14 And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent. 15 And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood. 16 And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth. 17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. KJV

Rev 20
1 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. 2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season. 4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. 5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. 6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years. 7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, 8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. 9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them. 10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. 11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. 14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. KJV
